[0009] Specifically, this disclosure relates to the following embodiments. [Embodiment 1] A pant-type absorbent article comprising an absorbent body having longitudinal, widthwise and thicknesswise directions that are orthogonal to each other, wherein the absorbent article, in an unfolded state and in the longitudinal direction, comprises a front waist region having a front edge, a rear waist region having a rear edge, and a crotch region disposed between the front waist region and the rear waist region, wherein, in the unfolded state, the absorbent article has a widthwise centerline extending parallel to the widthwise direction at the center of the longitudinal direction, and the crotch region is divided by the widthwise centerline into a front crotch region near the front edge and a rear crotch region near the rear edge, wherein the absorbent body comprises a first absorbent body disposed in the crotch region and irremovably bonded to the absorbent article, and a second absorbent body disposed on the skin side of the first absorbent body and removably bonded to the absorbent article. The absorbent article is characterized in that, in the deployed state, it comprises a plurality of front waist elastic members that extend in the width direction in the region where the front waist region and the first absorbent body overlap in the width direction, and are arranged at a front pitch of 3 mm or more in the longitudinal direction.
[0010] When wearing absorbent pants, it is common practice to pull up the front of the absorbent garment by grasping the front gripping portion located on the outside in the width direction of the front end in the longitudinal direction of the first absorbent body. At that time, the wearer often aligns the absorbent body with the anus by sight and touch. In the above absorbent garment, since the absorbent body comprises a first absorbent body and a second absorbent body, the second absorbent body, which should be in contact with the anus, is difficult to perceive from the appearance of the absorbent garment, making it difficult to align the second absorbent body.
[0011] Under such circumstances, the absorbent article is provided with a predetermined number of front waist elastic members in the area where the front waist region and the first absorbent body overlap, i.e., the front gripping portion. This makes it easier for the wearer to align the second absorbent body based on the front pitch of the multiple front waist elastic members and the distance between the front gripping portion and the second absorbent body. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body from the absorbent article, both the second absorbent body and the first absorbent body contract in the width direction due to the multiple front waist elastic members, making it easier to remove the front part of the second absorbent body.
[0012] Based on the above, the absorbent article is easy to position when worn, has excellent fit, and the second absorbent body is easy to remove. However, with tape-type absorbent articles, the act of pulling up the absorbent article, especially the act of gripping the front gripping part and pulling up the absorbent article, is not performed in principle when wearing the tape-type absorbent article, so tape-type absorbent articles do not have the above-mentioned problems and effects.
[0013] [Aspect 2] The absorbent article according to Aspect 1, wherein the second absorbent body comprises a second absorbent body front edge, which is the edge of the second absorbent body closer to the front edge, and a second absorbent body rear edge, which is the edge of the second absorbent body closer to the rear edge, and in the deployed state, the second absorbent body front edge is positioned closer to the rear edge than the front body elastic member.
[0014] In the absorbent article described above, the front edge of the second absorbent body is positioned closer to the rear edge than the front waist elastic member. Therefore, the front end of the second absorbent body, which is the end closer to the front edge of the second absorbent body, is less affected by the contraction of the front waist elastic member while wearing the absorbent article, and is less prone to wrinkles, resulting in a superior fit.
[0015] [Aspect 3] The absorbent article according to aspect 1 or 2, wherein, in the deployed state, the absorbent article comprises a plurality of rear-body elastic members that extend in the width direction and are arranged at a predetermined rear pitch in the longitudinal direction in the region where the rear body region and the first absorbent body overlap in the width direction.
[0016] When wearing absorbent pants, it is common practice to pull up the rear of the absorbent garment by grasping the rear gripping portion located on the outer widthwise side of the rear end in the longitudinal direction of the first absorbent body. At that time, the wearer often aligns the absorbent material with the anal opening using their eyes and hands, especially their sense of touch. In the above absorbent garment, since the absorbent body comprises a first absorbent body and a second absorbent body, the second absorbent body, which should be in contact with the anal opening, is difficult to perceive from the appearance of the absorbent garment, making alignment difficult.
[0017] Under such circumstances, the absorbent article is provided with a predetermined number of rear-waist elastic members in the area where the rear waist region and the first absorbent body overlap, i.e., in the rear gripping portion. This makes it easier for the wearer to align the garment based on the rear pitch of the multiple rear-waist elastic members and the distance between the rear gripping portion and the second absorbent body. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body from the absorbent article, both the second absorbent body and the first absorbent body contract in the width direction due to the multiple rear-waist elastic members, making it easier to remove the rear part of the second absorbent body.
[0018] Based on the above, the absorbent article is easy to position when worn, has excellent fit, and the second absorbent body is easy to remove. However, with tape-type absorbent articles, since the act of pulling up the absorbent article, particularly the act of gripping the rear gripping part and pulling up the absorbent article, is not performed when wearing the tape-type absorbent article, the tape-type absorbent article does not have the above-mentioned problems and effects.
[0019] [Aspect 4] The absorbent article according to any one of aspects 1 to 3, wherein, in the deployed state, the absorbent article comprises a plurality of rear elastic members extending in the width direction and arranged at a predetermined rear pitch in the longitudinal direction in the rear waist region and / or rear crotch region, the second absorbent body comprises a second absorbent body rear edge which is the edge of the second absorbent body near the rear edge, and in the deployed state, the second absorbent body rear edge overlaps with the plurality of rear elastic members in the width direction.
[0020] In the absorbent article described above, the rear edge of the second absorbent body overlaps with the rear elastic member in the width direction. Therefore, the rear end of the second absorbent body, which is the end of the second absorbent body closer to the rear edge, conforms more easily to the wearer's buttocks due to the contraction of the rear elastic member while the absorbent article is being worn, resulting in an excellent fit for the absorbent article.
[0021] [Aspect 5] The absorbent article according to any one of aspects 1 to 4, wherein the absorbent article is provided with, in the width direction, alternately having inter-body joining portions in which the second absorbent body is detachably joined to the first absorbent body, and non-inter-body joining portions in which the second absorbent body is not joined to the first absorbent body.
[0022] The absorbent article described above is provided with alternating sections of joints between main bodies and sections of non-joints between main bodies in the width direction. At the sections of non-joints between main bodies, the second absorbent body can be separated from the absorbent article. Therefore, in the width direction, at the sections of non-joints between main bodies, the second absorbent body of the absorbent article can easily fit to the wearer's body, resulting in excellent fit.
[0023] Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body, the first absorbent body shrinks in the width direction due to the contraction of the front or rear elastic member, and at that time, the second absorbent body tends to lift up at the non-jointed portion between the bodies. Therefore, the absorbent article is easy to remove the second absorbent body from.
[0024] [Aspect 6] The absorbent article according to aspect 5, wherein the second absorbent body has a second absorbent body front end which is the end of the second absorbent body near the front edge, the body joints are arranged at both ends in the width direction of the second absorbent body front end, and the body non-joints are arranged in the center in the width direction of the second absorbent body front end.
[0025] In the above-described absorbent article, the joint portion between the main bodies and the non-joint portion between the main bodies are located at the front end of the second absorbent body. Therefore, when the elastic member around the front of the absorbent article contracts, the widthwise center of the front end of the second absorbent body separates from the first absorbent body and is more likely to form a convex shape in the direction away from the first absorbent body.
[0026] As a result, when wearing the absorbent item, the elastic member around the front waist contracts, causing the center of the front end of the second absorbent body to form a convex shape in the width direction. This makes it easier for the wearer to adjust the position of the second absorbent body by grasping this convex part with their hand, resulting in a superior fit for the absorbent item. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body, the center of the front end of the second absorbent body in the width direction also forms a convex shape, making it easier for the wearer to remove the second absorbent body by grasping this convex part with their hand.
[0027] [Aspect 7] The absorbent article according to aspect 5 or 6, wherein, in the deployed state, the absorbent article comprises a plurality of rear elastic members extending in the width direction and arranged at a predetermined rear pitch in the longitudinal direction in the rear waist region and / or the rear crotch region, the second absorbent body comprises a second absorbent body rear end which is the end of the second absorbent body near the rear edge, the body joints are arranged at both ends of the second absorbent body rear end in the width direction, and the body non-joints are arranged in the center of the second absorbent body rear end in the width direction.
[0028] In the absorbent article described above, the joint portion between the main bodies and the non-joint portion between the main bodies are located at the rear end of the second absorbent body. Therefore, when the rear elastic member of the absorbent article contracts, the widthwise center of the rear end of the second absorbent body separates from the first absorbent body and is more likely to form a convex shape in the direction away from the first absorbent body.
[0029] As a result, when wearing the absorbent article, the center of the width direction of the rear end of the second absorbent body forms a convex shape as the rear elastic member contracts, making it easier for the wearer to adjust the position of the second absorbent body by grasping this convex part with their hand, thus providing the absorbent article with excellent fit. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body, the center of the width direction of the rear end of the second absorbent body forms a convex shape, making it easier for the wearer to remove the second absorbent body by grasping this convex part with their hand.
[0030] [Aspect 8] The absorbent article according to any one of aspects 1 to 7, wherein the first absorbent body further comprises a first absorbent body elastic member that extends from the front crotch area to the rear crotch area and is disposed in a direction along the longitudinal direction.
[0031] The absorbent article further comprises a predetermined first absorbent body elastic member. Therefore, during wear of the absorbent article, the first absorbent body elastic member makes it easier for the second absorbent body to conform to the wearer's buttocks, resulting in the absorbent article having excellent fit.
[0032] [Aspect 9] The absorbent article described in Aspect 8, wherein the absorbent article comprises, in the width direction, a joint between bodies in which the second absorbent body is detachably joined to the first absorbent body, and a non-joint between bodies in which the second absorbent body is not joined to the first absorbent body, and in the deployed state, the elastic member of the first absorbent body overlaps with the non-joint between bodies in the thickness direction.
[0033] In the above-described absorbent article, when deployed, the first absorbent body elastic member overlaps with the non-joint portion between the bodies in the thickness direction. Therefore, the portion of the first absorbent body elastic member that overlaps with the non-joint portion between the bodies in the thickness direction is less affected even when the second absorbent body moves due to the wearer's body movements, and can hold the first absorbent body in place. As a result, the above-described absorbent article has excellent fit.
[0034] [Aspect 10] The absorbent article according to aspect 8 or 9, wherein the second absorbent body does not include an expandable member that extends in the direction along the longitudinal direction in the crotch area.
[0035] The absorbent article described above does not have a predetermined expandable / contractible member. Therefore, the second absorbent body is less likely to contract differently in the longitudinal direction from the first absorbent body, and the absorbent article has excellent fit.
[0036] [Aspect 11] The absorbent article according to any one of aspects 1 to 10, wherein the first absorbent body has a first absorbent body front edge which is the edge of the first absorbent body closer to the front edge, the second absorbent body has a second absorbent body front edge which is the edge of the second absorbent body closer to the front edge, in the deployed state, the first absorbent body front edge is positioned closer to the front edge than the second absorbent body front edge, and the absorbent article further comprises a front cover sheet which covers the first absorbent body front edge but does not cover the second absorbent body front edge.
[0037] The absorbent article described above is further provided with a predetermined front cover sheet. Therefore, when wearing the absorbent article, when pulling up the front of the absorbent article, the front cover sheet covering the front edge of the first absorbent body makes it less likely for the absorbent article to tear at the front gripping portion. Also, while wearing the absorbent article, the front cover sheet covering the front edge of the first absorbent body makes it less likely for leakage to occur at the front edge of the first absorbent body. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body, the front cover sheet does not cover the front edge of the second absorbent body, resulting in excellent removal of the second absorbent body.
[0038] [Aspect 12] The first absorbent body includes a first absorbent body rear edge which is an edge near the rear edge of the first absorbent body. The second absorbent body includes a second absorbent body rear edge which is an edge near the rear edge of the second absorbent body. In the deployed state, the first absorbent body rear edge is disposed closer to the rear edge than the second absorbent body rear edge. The absorbent article further includes a rear cover sheet that covers the first absorbent body rear edge but does not cover the second absorbent body rear edge, and is the absorbent article according to any one of Aspects 1 to 11.
[0039] The absorbent article further includes a predetermined rear cover sheet. Therefore, when pulling up the rear side of the absorbent article when wearing the absorbent article, due to the rear cover sheet covering the first absorbent body rear edge, the absorbent article is less likely to tear at the rear gripping portion. Also, during wearing of the absorbent article, due to the rear cover sheet covering the first absorbent body rear edge, leakage is less likely to occur at the first absorbent body rear edge. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body, since the rear cover sheet does not cover the second absorbent body rear edge, the removability of the second absorbent body is excellent.
[0040] [Aspect 13] The first absorbent body includes a liquid-permeable top sheet and a pair of leak-proof walls disposed on both outer sides in the width direction of the first absorber. The second absorbent body includes a second absorbent body front edge which is an edge near the front edge of the second absorbent body and a second absorbent body rear edge which is an edge near the rear edge of the second absorbent body. In the deployed state and in the thickness direction, at least one of the widthwise both edges of the second absorbent body front edge and the second absorbent body rear edge is disposed between the top sheet and the pair of leak-proof walls, and is the absorbent article according to any one of Aspects 1 to 12.
[0041] In the absorbent article, in the deployed state, at least one of the front edge and the rear edge in the width direction of the second absorbent body is disposed between the topsheet and the pair of leak barriers. That is, in at least one of the front edge and the rear edge in the width direction of the second absorbent body (in at least one of the front end portion and the rear end portion of the second absorbent body), the size of the second absorbent body in the width direction becomes close to the size of the first absorbent body in the width direction, and when the absorbent article is used, the pair of leak barriers can efficiently suppress leakage from the second absorbent body. Therefore, the absorbent article is less likely to leak when the second absorbent body is used.
[0042] [Aspect 14] The first absorbent body includes a first absorbent body front edge which is an edge near the front edge of the first absorbent body, and the pair of leak barriers includes a pair of front leak barrier joining portions which join the pair of leak barriers to the topsheet in the front body surrounding region, and the pair of front leak barrier joining portions are disposed closer to the front edge than the front edge of the second absorbent body. The absorbent article according to Aspect 13.
[0043] In each of the pair of leak barriers of the absorbent article, the front leak barrier joining portion is disposed closer to the front edge than the front edge of the second absorbent body. Therefore, when the absorbent article is used, particularly when the second absorbent body is used, the portion near the front edge of the pair of leak barriers is less likely to turn up. As a result, the absorbent article is less likely to leak when the second absorbent body is used.
[0044] [Aspect 15] The absorbent article includes a body-to-body joining portion that detachably joins the second absorbent body to the first absorbent body, and an outer edge of the body-to-body joining portion in the width direction, which is an outer edge of the body-to-body joining portion, is disposed outside the inner edge of each of the pair of front leak barrier joining portions in the width direction, which is an inner edge of the front leak barrier joining portion in the width direction. The absorbent article according to Aspect 14.
[0045] In the absorbent article described above, when deployed, the outer edge of the joint between the main bodies is positioned further outward in the width direction than the inner edge of the joint of the front leak-proof wall. Therefore, when wearing the absorbent article, the longitudinal and widthwise ends of the front end of the second absorbent body are less likely to curl up, the wearer is less likely to feel discomfort, and leakage is less likely to occur when using the second absorbent body.
[0046] [Aspect 16] The absorbent article according to any one of aspects 13 to 15, wherein the first absorbent body has a first absorbent body rear edge which is the edge of the first absorbent body closer to the rear edge, the pair of leak-proof walls has a pair of rear leak-proof wall joints which join the pair of leak-proof walls to the top sheet in the rear girder region, and the pair of rear leak-proof wall joints are positioned closer to the rear edge than the second absorbent body rear edge.
[0047] In each of the pair of leak-proof walls of the absorbent article described above, the rear leak-proof wall joint is positioned closer to the rear edge than the rear edge of the second absorbent body. Therefore, when using the absorbent article, especially when using the second absorbent body, the rear portion of the pair of leak-proof walls is less likely to curl up. As a result, the absorbent article is less likely to leak when using the second absorbent body.
[0048] [Aspect 17] The absorbent article according to aspect 16, wherein the absorbent article includes an inter-body joint portion in which a second absorbent body is detachably joined to a first absorbent body, and the outer edge of the inter-body joint portion, which is the outer edge of the inter-body joint portion in the width direction, is positioned further outward in the width direction than the inner edges of the rear leak-proof wall joint portions, which are the inner edges of each of the pair of rear leak-proof wall joint portions in the width direction.
[0049] In the absorbent article described above, the outer edge of the joint between the main bodies is positioned further outward in the width direction than the inner edge of the joint of the rear leak-proof wall. Therefore, when wearing the absorbent article, the longitudinal and widthwise ends of the rear end of the second absorbent body are less likely to curl up, the wearer is less likely to feel discomfort, and leakage is less likely to occur when using the second absorbent body.
[0050] [Aspect 18] An absorbent article according to any one of aspects 1 to 17, wherein the front pitch is 20 mm or less. In the absorbent article described above, the front pitch of the multiple front elastic members is within a predetermined range, thus providing superior effects compared to aspect 1.

[0063] The first absorbent body 5 has a first absorbent body front end portion 25a, which is the end portion of the first absorbent body 5 closer to the front edge 17, and a first absorbent body rear end portion 25b, which is the end portion of the first absorbent body 5 closer to the rear edge 19. The second absorbent body 7 has a second absorbent body front end portion 27a, which is the end portion of the second absorbent body 7 closer to the front edge 17, and a second absorbent body rear end portion 27b, which is the end portion of the second absorbent body 7 closer to the rear edge 19.
[0064] In the deployed state, the front edge 21a of the first absorbent body is positioned closer to the front edge 17 than the front edge 23a of the second absorbent body. Also, in the deployed state, the rear edge 21b of the first absorbent body is positioned closer to the rear edge 19 than the rear edge 23b of the second absorbent body.
[0065] The first absorbent body 5 comprises, in the thickness direction T, a liquid-permeable first top sheet 31 having a first skin-contact surface 33a and a first non-skin-contact surface 33b, a first absorbent body 35, a pair of hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheets 43, a first absorbent body elastic member 41, and a liquid-impermeable first back sheet 39 in that order. The first absorbent body 35 comprises a first absorbent core 37a and a first core wrap 37b covering the first absorbent core 37a. The first absorbent core 37a contains pulp fibers (not shown) and a superabsorbent polymer (not shown). Each of the pair of hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheets 43 is folded over on the outside in the width direction W to make it double-layered and extends outward in the width direction W of the first absorbent body 35.
[0066] The first absorbent core 37a and the first core wrap 37b are joined by a joint (not shown) made of hot melt adhesive. The first top sheet 31 and the first absorbent 35, specifically the first core wrap 37b, are joined by a top sheet-core wrap joint 131 made of hot melt adhesive.
[0067] The first top sheet 31 is positioned to cover the first absorbent 35 (first absorbent core 37a and first core wrap 37b) and is bonded to each of the pair of hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheets 43 by a top sheet nonwoven fabric joint 133 made of hot melt adhesive. The hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheets 43 are made of hydrophobic nonwoven fabric. The first back sheet 39 is made of a moisture-permeable film.
[0068] The first absorbent body elastic member 41 is composed of four thread-like elastic members. The four thread-like elastic members are arranged to extend along the longitudinal direction L from the front crotch area to the rear crotch area 13b. The four thread-like elastic members constituting the first absorbent body elastic member 41 are spaced apart in the width direction W and arranged at a predetermined widthwise pitch. The first absorbent body elastic member 41 is joined to the first absorbent body 5 (first back sheet 39, hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheet 43, first absorbent body 35, etc.) by an elastic member joint 45 made of hot melt adhesive, with the four thread-like elastic members stretched relative to the first absorbent body 5 (first back sheet 39, hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheet 43, first absorbent body 35, etc.). The first absorbent body elastic member 41 is a member that facilitates contact between the absorbent body 3, that is, the first absorbent body 5 and the second absorbent body 7, and the wearer's excretory opening.
[0069] Each of the pair of hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheets 43 is folded inward to cover the absorbent body 3 (first absorbent body 5 and second absorbent body 7), forming a leak-proof wall 47. As a result, the pair of hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheets 43 form a pair of leak-proof walls 47 on both outer sides in the width direction W of the absorbent body 3 (first absorbent body 5 and second absorbent body 7). Each of the pair of leak-proof walls 47 has a fixed end (not shown) that is fixed to the first absorbent body 35 and the first back sheet 39, and a free end (not shown) on the opposite side. In the unfolded state, each of the pair of leak-proof walls 47 has two leak-proof elastic members 49 at the free end that extend in the longitudinal direction L from the front waist area 11, through the crotch area 13, to the rear waist area 15. Each of the two leak-proof elastic members 49 is extended relative to the leak-proof wall 47 (hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheet 43) and joined to the hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheet 43 within the folded hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheet 43 by a joint (not shown) made of hot melt adhesive.
[0070] Each pair of leak-proof walls 47 is provided with a pair of front leak-proof wall joints 75 that connect the pair of leak-proof walls 47 to the first top sheet 31 in the front waist region 11. Furthermore, each pair of leak-proof walls 47 is provided with a pair of rear leak-proof wall joints 77 that connect the pair of leak-proof walls 47 to the first top sheet 31 in the rear crotch region 13b and the rear waist region 15.
[0071] The pair of leak-proof walls 47 are made of a hydrophobic nonwoven fabric that forms a hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheet 43, and are hydrophobic, and stand up from the absorbent body 3 when worn to suppress menstrual blood leakage. The first back sheet 39 is joined to the outer body 9, in particular the second outer sheet 113, by an inter-body joint 107 made of hot melt adhesive.
[0072] The second absorbent body 7 comprises, in the thickness direction T, a liquid-permeable second top sheet 51 having a second skin-contact surface 53a and a second non-skin-contact surface 53b, a second absorbent 55, and a liquid-impermeable second back sheet 59 in that order. The second absorbent 55 comprises a second absorbent core 57a and a second core wrap 57b covering the second absorbent core 57a. The second absorbent core 57a contains pulp fibers (not shown) and a superabsorbent polymer (not shown).
[0073] The second absorbent core 57a and the second core wrap 57b are joined by a joint (not shown) made of hot melt adhesive. The second top sheet 51 and the second absorbent 55, specifically the second core wrap 57b, are joined by a top sheet-core wrap joint 131 made of hot melt adhesive.
[0074] The second top sheet 51 is positioned to cover the second absorbent 55 (second absorbent core 57a and second core wrap 57b), and is bonded to the second back sheet 59 together with the second absorbent 55 at a top sheet-back sheet joint 135 made of hot melt adhesive. The second back sheet 59 is made of a non-permeable film.
[0075] The second absorbent body 7 is positioned between the pair of leak-proof walls 47 of the first absorbent body 5 and the first top sheet 31, and is joined to the first top sheet 31 of the second absorbent body 7 by an inter-body joint 61 made of hot melt adhesive, which is positioned on the second back sheet 59. The inter-body joint 61 comprises two inter-body joints that extend intermittently in the longitudinal direction L, specifically, one inter-body joint portion 63a and the other inter-body joint portion 63b, which are spaced apart in the width direction W and arranged symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal center line LC. The portion of the region where the first absorbent body 5 and the second absorbent body 7 overlap in the thickness direction T, excluding the inter-body joint 61, i.e., the portion where the first absorbent body 5 and the second absorbent body 7 are not joined, is referred to as the non-jointed inter-body portion 65.
[0076] In its unfolded state, the panty-type sanitary napkin 1 is provided with a plurality of front waist elastic members 115 that extend parallel to the width direction W and are arranged at a front pitch of 5 mm in the longitudinal direction L in the region where the front waist area 11 and the first absorbent body 5 overlap in the width direction W, i.e., at the front gripping portion 67. This makes it easier for the wearer to align the second absorbent body 7 based on the front pitch of the plurality of front waist elastic members 115 and the distance between the front gripping portion 67 and the second absorbent body 7. Furthermore, in the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, when removing the second absorbent body 7, both the second absorbent body 7 and the first absorbent body 5 contract in the width direction W due to the plurality of front waist elastic members 115, making it easier to remove the front part of the second absorbent body 7.
[0077] The panty-type sanitary napkin 1, in its unfolded state, is provided with a plurality of rear-waist elastic members 119 that extend parallel to the width direction W and are arranged at a predetermined rear pitch in the longitudinal direction L in the region where the rear waist area 15 and the first absorbent body 5 overlap in the width direction W, i.e., at the rear gripping portion 69. This makes it easier for the wearer to align the panty-type sanitary napkin 1 based on the rear pitch of the plurality of rear-waist elastic members 119 and the distance between the rear gripping portion 69 and the second absorbent body 7. Furthermore, in the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, when removing the second absorbent body 7, both the second absorbent body 7 and the first absorbent body 5 contract in the width direction W due to the plurality of rear-waist elastic members 119, making it easier to remove the rear part of the second absorbent body 7.
[0078] The panty-type sanitary napkin 1 is provided with inter-body joints 61 and inter-body joints 65 alternately in the width direction W, in the order of inter-body joints 65, inter-body joints 61, inter-body joints 65, inter-body joints 61 and inter-body joints 65. As a result, the second absorbent body 7 of the panty-type sanitary napkin 1 fits more easily to the wearer's body at the inter-body joints 65 in the width direction W, resulting in excellent fit. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body 7, the first absorbent body 5 contracts in the width direction W as the multiple front waist elastic members 115, multiple rear waist elastic members 119 and rear leg elastic members 121 contract. At this time, the second absorbent body 7 tends to lift up at the inter-body joints 65, making it easier to remove the second absorbent body 7 from the panty-type sanitary napkin 1.
[0079] At the front end 27a of the second absorbent body, the joint portion 61 between the bodies is located at both ends in the width direction W, while the non-joint portion 65 between the bodies is located in the center (not shown) in the width direction W. As a result, when wearing the panty-type napkin 1, the center of the front end 27a of the second absorbent body in the width direction forms a convex shape as the multiple front waist elastic members 115 contract. This makes it easier for the wearer to adjust the position of the second absorbent body 7 by grasping the convex portion with their hand, resulting in a better fit for the panty-type napkin 1. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body 7, the center of the front end 27a of the second absorbent body in the width direction forms a convex shape, making it easier for the wearer to remove the second absorbent body 7 by grasping the convex portion with their hand.
[0080] Furthermore, at the rear end portion 27b of the second absorbent body, the joint portion 61 between the bodies is located at both ends in the width direction W, and the non-joint portion 65 between the bodies is located in the center (not shown) in the width direction W. As a result, when wearing the panty-type napkin 1, the center of the rear end portion 27b of the second absorbent body forms a convex shape in the width direction as the multiple rear waist elastic members 119 and rear leg elastic members 121 contract. This makes it easier for the wearer to adjust the position of the second absorbent body 7 by grasping the convex portion with their hand, resulting in a superior fit for the panty-type napkin 1. Also, when removing the second absorbent body 7, the center of the rear end portion 27b of the second absorbent body forms a convex shape in the width direction, making it easier for the wearer to remove the second absorbent body 7 by grasping the convex portion with their hand.
[0081] In its unfolded state, the front edge 23a of the second absorbent body is positioned closer to the rear edge 19 than the front waist elastic member 115. As a result, the front end portion 27a of the second absorbent body 7 is less affected by the contraction of the front waist elastic member 115 while wearing the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, and wrinkles are less likely to occur, resulting in a superior fit.
[0082] Furthermore, in the unfolded state, the rear edge 23b of the second absorbent body overlaps in the width direction W with a plurality of rear elastic members, specifically, a plurality of rear leg elastic members 121. As a result, the rear end portion 27b of the second absorbent body 7 conforms more easily to the wearer's buttocks due to the contraction of the plurality of rear leg elastic members 121 while the panty-type napkin 1 is being worn, and the panty-type napkin 1 has excellent fit.
[0083] The first absorbent body 5 is equipped with a predetermined first absorbent body elastic member 41. This makes it easier for the first absorbent body elastic member 41 to conform to the wearer's buttocks while the panty-type napkin 1 is being worn, resulting in excellent fit for the panty-type napkin 1. In the unfolded state, the first absorbent body elastic member 41 completely overlaps the non-joint portion 65 between the bodies in the thickness direction T. As a result, even if the second absorbent body 7 moves due to the wearer's body movements, the first absorbent body elastic member 41 is less affected and can hold the first absorbent body 5 in place. Consequently, the panty-type napkin 1 has excellent fit.
[0084] The second absorbent body 7 does not have any stretchable members that extend along the longitudinal direction L in its entirety, namely in the front waist area 11, the crotch area 13, and the rear waist area 15. As a result, the second absorbent body 7 is less likely to contract differently from the first absorbent body 5 in the longitudinal direction L, and the panty-type sanitary napkin 1 has excellent fit.
[0085] The panty-type sanitary napkin 1 is equipped with a front cover sheet 71 that is joined to the second outer sheet 113 and the first absorbent body 5 from the skin side of the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, such that it does not cover the front edge 23a of the second absorbent body in the front waist area 11, but covers the front edge 21a of the first absorbent body. As a result, when wearing the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, when the front of the panty-type sanitary napkin 1 is pulled up, the front cover sheet 71 covering the front edge 21a of the first absorbent body makes it less likely for the panty-type sanitary napkin 1 to tear at the front grip portion 67. In addition, while wearing the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, the front cover sheet 71 covering the front edge 21a of the first absorbent body makes it less likely for leakage to occur at the front edge 21a of the first absorbent body. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body 7, the front cover sheet 71 does not cover the front edge 23a of the second absorbent body, thus providing excellent ease of removal of the second absorbent body 7.
[0086] The panty-type sanitary napkin 1 is equipped with a rear cover sheet 73 that is joined to the second outer sheet 113 and the first absorbent body 5 from the skin side of the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, such that it does not cover the rear edge 23b of the second absorbent body in the rear waist area 15, but covers the rear edge 21b of the first absorbent body. As a result, when wearing the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, when pulling up the rear of the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, the rear cover sheet 73 covering the rear edge 21b of the first absorbent body makes it less likely for the panty-type sanitary napkin 1 to tear at the rear grip portion 69. In addition, while wearing the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, the rear cover sheet 73 covering the rear edge 21b of the first absorbent body makes it less likely for leakage to occur at the rear edge 21b of the first absorbent body. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body 7, the rear cover sheet 73 does not cover the rear edge 23b of the second absorbent body, thus providing excellent ease of removal of the second absorbent body 7.
[0087] In the unfolded state and in the thickness direction T, both ends of the second absorbent body 7 in the width direction W, the front edge 23a and the rear edge 23b, are positioned between the first top sheet 31 of the first absorbent body 5 and the pair of leak-proof walls 47. As a result, the width direction W of the second absorbent body 7 is close to that of the first absorbent body 5, and when the shorts-type sanitary napkin 1 is used, the pair of leak-proof walls 47 can suppress leakage from the second absorbent body 7.
[0088] In the longitudinal direction L, the pair of front leak-proof wall joints 75 are positioned closer to the front edge 17 than the front edge 23a of the second absorbent body. This makes it less likely for the portion of the pair of leak-proof walls 47 closer to the front edge 17 to curl up when using the panty-type napkin 1, especially when using the second absorbent body 7. Also, in the longitudinal direction L, the pair of rear leak-proof wall joints 77 are positioned closer to the rear edge 19 than the rear edge 23b of the second absorbent body. This makes it less likely for the rear portion of the pair of leak-proof walls 47 to curl up when using the panty-type napkin 1, especially when using the second absorbent body 7.
[0089] Figure 9 is a partially enlarged view of Figure 3, and for illustrative purposes, the leak-proof wall elastic member 49 is omitted. As shown in Figure 9, the outer edge 81 of the inter-body joint 61, which is the outer edge in the width direction W, is positioned outside in the width direction W of the inner edge 83 of the front leak-proof wall joint, which is the inner edge in the width direction W of each of the pair of front leak-proof wall joints 75. As a result, when wearing the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, the end of the front end 27a of the second absorbent body 7 is less likely to curl up in the longitudinal direction L and width direction W, the wearer is less likely to feel discomfort, and leakage is less likely to occur when using the second absorbent body 7.
[0090] The outer edge 81 of the inter-body joint 61, which is the outer edge in the width direction W of the inter-body joint, is positioned further outward in the width direction W than the inner edge 85 of the rear leak-proof wall joint, which is the inner edge in the width direction W of each of the pair of rear leak-proof wall joints 77. As a result, when wearing the panty-type sanitary napkin 1, the end of the rear end 27b of the second absorbent body 7 is less likely to curl up in the longitudinal direction L and width direction W, the wearer is less likely to feel discomfort, and leakage is less likely to occur when using the second absorbent body 7.
[0091] The absorbent article in the form of pants according to this disclosure comprises an absorbent body having longitudinal, widthwise, and thicknesswise directions that are perpendicular to each other. The absorbent article in the form of pants according to this disclosure comprises an absorbent body, and generally comprises an outer casing. The absorbent article in the form of pants may further comprise components other than the absorbent body and outer casing. The absorbent article in the form of pants comprises a waist opening and a pair of leg openings (one leg opening and the other leg opening). The absorbent article in the form of pants also comprises a pair of locking parts (one locking part and the other locking part) for locking the front waist region and the rear waist region, which will be described later. In this specification, "absorbent article in the form of pants" may be simply referred to as "absorbent article".
[0092] Examples of the above-mentioned pant-type absorbent items include panty-type sanitary napkins and pant-type disposable diapers (e.g., pant-type disposable diapers for adults and pant-type disposable diapers for children). However, pant-type absorbent items do not include so-called tape-type absorbent items that are used by fastening tape to secure the rear waist area to the front waist area.
[0093] The absorbent article described above comprises, in its unfolded state and in the longitudinal direction, a front waist region having a front edge, a rear waist region having a rear edge, and a crotch region positioned between the front and rear waist regions. In this specification, the longitudinal direction and width direction used with respect to the absorbent article refer to the longitudinal and width directions of the absorbent body, and not to the long and short directions of the absorbent article. Furthermore, in this specification, when simply referred to as the longitudinal direction, width direction and / or thickness direction, it refers to the longitudinal direction, width direction and / or thickness direction as defined with respect to the absorbent body described above. The front edge and rear edge refer to the edge on the front waist region side and the edge on the rear waist region side, respectively, that demarcate the waist opening.
[0094] In this specification, the "unfolded state" of a pant-type absorbent article means the state in which the pair of locking parts that form the boundary between the front and rear waist regions of the pant-type absorbent article are released, and the pant-type absorbent article is spread out on a flat surface until the non-stretchable material (e.g., nonwoven fabric) constituting the pant-type absorbent article is no longer wrinkled without tearing. If the pant-type absorbent article is equipped with an elastic member, the elastic member is stretched until the non-stretchable material is no longer wrinkled. In this specification, the unfolded state of a pant-type absorbent article may also be simply referred to as the "unfolded state."
[0095] The absorbent article may, in its unfolded state, have a longitudinal centerline extending parallel to the longitudinal direction at the center of the width direction. The absorbent article may also, in its unfolded state, have a width-direction centerline extending parallel to the width direction at the center of the longitudinal direction. The crotch area is divided by the width-direction centerline into a front crotch area near the front edge and a rear crotch area near the rear edge.
[0096] The absorbent body described above generally includes an absorbent core. The absorbent body generally further includes a liquid-permeable top sheet having a skin-contacting surface and a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and optionally further includes a liquid diffusion sheet (hereinafter referred to as the "second sheet") placed between the top sheet and the absorbent core, a liquid diffusion sheet (hereinafter referred to as the "third sheet") placed between the absorbent core and the back sheet, and a sheet placed on the non-skin side of the back sheet (for example, a nonwoven fabric sheet, for example, a hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheet). The absorbent core may or may not have a pair of constricted portions that are narrowed in the width direction. The absorbent core may be placed in the absorbent body as an absorbent material together with a core wrap that covers the absorbent core. The absorbent core and other materials described above may be referred to as the first absorbent core, etc., when they are provided in the first absorbent body described later, and as the second absorbent core, etc., when they are provided in the second absorbent body described later.
[0097] In the pant-type absorbent article relating to this disclosure, the absorbent body comprises a first absorbent body positioned in the crotch area and irremovably attached to the absorbent article, and a second absorbent body positioned on the skin side of the first absorbent body and irremovably attached to the absorbent article. In this specification, "irremovable" means that it is not intended to be removed within the normal range of use, and "irremovably attached" means that it is attached in such a way that it cannot be removed within the normal range of use. In this specification, "removable" means that it is intended to be removed within the normal range of use, and "removably attached" means that it is attached in such a way that it can be removed within the normal range of use.
[0098] Preferably, the second absorbent body, once removed from the absorbent article, cannot be reattached to the absorbent article. This helps to prevent discomfort related to wearing the garment, leakage of bodily fluids, etc., that may occur if the second absorbent body is reattached to a different location than its original position. Examples of second absorbent bodies that cannot be reattached to the absorbent article include those in which, after being removed from the absorbent article, the second absorbent body has no ability to reattach to the absorbent article, and those in which the second absorbent body has the ability to reattach to the absorbent article, but this reattachment ability is lower than the initial adhesion strength of the second absorbent article to the absorbent article.
[0099] The above-mentioned removable joint and non-removable joint can be achieved by adjusting the joint strength between the second absorbent body and the absorbent article (e.g., the first absorbent body) and the joint strength between the first absorbent body and the absorbent article (e.g., the outer casing). For example, (i) making the joint area between the second absorbent body and the absorbent article (e.g., the first absorbent body) smaller than the joint area between the first absorbent body and the absorbent article (e.g., the outer casing), (ii) making the joint strength per unit area between the second absorbent body and the absorbent article (e.g., the first absorbent body) smaller than the joint strength per unit area between the first absorbent body and the absorbent article (e.g., the outer casing), and (iii) combinations thereof.
[0100] In the deployed state, the first absorbent body is positioned in the crotch area, preferably in the front crotch area and the rear crotch area. In the deployed state, the first absorbent body preferably extends to at least one or both of the front torso area and the rear torso area in order to improve absorbency. In the deployed state, the second absorbent body is positioned in the crotch area, preferably in the front crotch area and the rear crotch area. In the deployed state, the second absorbent body may extend to at least one or both of the front torso area and the rear torso area in order to improve absorbency.
[0101] The first absorbing core provided in the first absorbing body preferably has a density of 50 g / m². 2 More preferably 100 g / m 2The above, and preferably 400 g / m² 2 More preferably, 200 g / m 2 The following basis weights are provided. The second absorbent core provided in the second absorbent body is preferably 50 g / m². 2 More preferably 100 g / m 2 The above, and preferably 400 g / m² 2 More preferably, 200 g / m 2 It has the following basis weight.
[0102] The first absorbent body may have a first absorbent body front edge, which is the edge of the first absorbent body closer to the front edge, and the first absorbent body may have a first absorbent body rear edge, which is the edge of the first absorbent body closer to the rear edge. The second absorbent body may have a second absorbent body front edge, which is the edge of the second absorbent body closer to the front edge, and the second absorbent body may have a second absorbent body rear edge, which is the edge of the second absorbent body closer to the rear edge.
[0103] The first absorbent body may include a first absorbent body front end, which is the end of the first absorbent body near the front edge, and the first absorbent body may include a first absorbent body rear end, which is the end of the first absorbent body near the rear edge. The first absorbent body front end refers to a region extending from the edge of the first absorbent body near the front edge to preferably within 30%, more preferably within 20%, and even more preferably within 10% of the longitudinal length of the first absorbent body. The first absorbent body rear end refers to a region extending from the edge of the first absorbent body near the rear edge to preferably within 30%, more preferably within 20%, and even more preferably within 10% of the longitudinal length of the first absorbent body.
[0104] The second absorbent body may include a front end portion of the second absorbent body, which is the end portion of the second absorbent body closer to the front edge, and the second absorbent body may include a rear end portion of the second absorbent body, which is the end portion of the second absorbent body closer to the rear edge. The front end portion of the second absorbent body refers to a region extending from the edge of the second absorbent body closer to the front edge, preferably within 30%, more preferably within 20%, and even more preferably within 10%, of the longitudinal length of the second absorbent body. The rear end portion of the second absorbent body refers to a region extending from the edge of the second absorbent body closer to the rear edge, preferably within 30%, more preferably within 20%, and even more preferably within 10%, of the longitudinal length of the second absorbent body.
[0105] The absorbent article may or may not include a plurality of front-waist elastic members that extend in the width direction and are arranged in the longitudinal direction within the front waist region.
[0106] In the unfolded state, the absorbent article includes a plurality of front waist elastic members that extend in the width direction and are arranged at a front pitch of 3 mm or more, preferably 4 mm or more, more preferably 5 mm or more, preferably 20 mm or less, more preferably 15 mm or less, and even more preferably 10 mm or less in the longitudinal direction, in the area where the front waist region and the first absorbent body overlap in the width direction, i.e., the front gripping portion. This makes it easier for the wearer to align the second absorbent body based on the front pitch of the plurality of front waist elastic members and the distance between the front gripping portion and the second absorbent body. Furthermore, in the absorbent article, when removing the second absorbent body, both the second absorbent body and the first absorbent body contract in the width direction due to the plurality of front waist elastic members, making it easier to remove the front part of the second absorbent body.
[0107] The 20 mm above takes into account the length of the distal phalanx of a woman's thumb, the 15 mm above takes into account the length of the distal phalanx of a woman's index finger, and the 10 mm above takes into account the width of the distal phalanx of a woman's index finger. For example, if the front pitch is 20 mm, when a woman grasps the front gripping part with the distal phalanx of her thumb so that the distal phalanx of the thumb is perpendicular to the front body elastic member, the distal phalanx of the thumb will come into contact with at least two front body elastic members, making it easier to align the front of the absorbent article. The 3 mm above was determined from the perspective that when the wearer grasps the front gripping part with their fingers, they will feel that their fingers are in contact with at least two front body elastic members.
[0108] In this specification, the region where A and B overlap in the X direction means the region where A and B overlap in a plan view from the X direction. In this specification, "inside" and "outside" in the width direction mean the side closer to the longitudinal centerline and the side further from the longitudinal centerline, respectively.
[0109] Preferably, the multiple front-circumference elastic members described above extend from one locking portion to the other locking portion of a pair of locking portions in the front-circumference region. Furthermore, the multiple front-circumference elastic members can be joined to the material constituting the front-circumference region by a joint made of hot-melt adhesive while in an extended state relative to the material constituting the front-circumference region. Note that, in the unfolded state, the multiple front-circumference elastic members may be partially or fully fractured in the area that overlaps with the absorbent body (e.g., the first absorbent body and / or the second absorbent body) in the thickness direction.
[0110] In the deployed state described above, the front edge of the second absorbent body may be positioned closer to the rear edge than the front waist elastic member, or it may be positioned so as to overlap with the front waist elastic member. In the deployed state described above, it is preferable that the front edge of the second absorbent body is positioned closer to the rear edge than the front waist elastic member. As a result, the front end of the second absorbent body is less affected by the contraction of the front waist elastic member while wearing the absorbent article, and wrinkles are less likely to occur, resulting in a superior fit.
[0111] The absorbent article according to this disclosure may, in the deployed state, comprise a plurality of rear elastic members extending in the width direction and arranged at a predetermined rear pitch in the longitudinal direction in the rear torso region and / or rear crotch region. The plurality of rear elastic members include a plurality of rear torso elastic members arranged in the rear torso region and a plurality of rear leg elastic members arranged in the rear crotch region.
[0112] Preferably, each of the above-mentioned multiple rear torso elastic members extends from one locking portion of a pair of locking portions to the other locking portion in the rear torso region. Furthermore, the above-mentioned multiple rear torso elastic members can be joined to the material constituting the rear torso region by a joint made of hot melt adhesive while extended relative to the material constituting the rear torso region. Each of the above-mentioned multiple rear leg elastic members can extend from one leg opening to the other leg opening in the rear crotch region, and may also extend from one locking portion in the rear torso region, through the rear crotch region, to the other locking portion in the rear torso region. Furthermore, the above-mentioned multiple rear leg elastic members can be joined to the material constituting the rear crotch region by a joint made of hot melt adhesive while extended relative to the material constituting the rear crotch region.
[0113] With respect to the multiple rear elastic members described above, "extending in the width direction" means that one end of each of the multiple rear elastic members is spaced apart in the width direction. The multiple rear elastic members may be arranged parallel to the width direction, and may be curved to protrude toward the center line in the width direction.
[0114] The above-mentioned multiple rear elastic members (multiple rear torso elastic members and rear leg elastic members) may be partially or entirely fractured in the area that overlaps with the absorbent body (for example, the first absorbent body and / or the second absorbent body) in the thickness direction when deployed.
[0115] In the absorbent article according to this disclosure, it is preferable that, in the deployed state, the rear waist region and the first absorbent body overlap in the width direction, and the plurality of rear waist elastic members are provided. This makes it easier for the wearer to align the article based on the rear pitch of the plurality of rear waist elastic members and the distance between the rear grip portion and the second absorbent body. Furthermore, in the absorbent article, when removing the second absorbent body, both the second absorbent body and the first absorbent body contract in the width direction due to the plurality of rear elastic members, making it easier to remove the rear part of the second absorbent body.
[0116] The predetermined rear pitch described above is preferably 3 mm or more, more preferably 4 mm or more, and even more preferably 5 mm or more, from the viewpoint of the effects described above. Furthermore, the predetermined rear pitch is preferably 20 mm or less, more preferably 15 mm or less, and even more preferably 10 mm or less. The above values of 20 mm, 15 mm, 10 mm, and 3 mm were determined for the same reasons as the front pitch.
[0117] Examples of the above-mentioned multiple rear elastic members include multiple rear-body elastic members. Preferably, these multiple rear-body elastic members extend from one locking portion to the other locking portion of a pair of locking portions in the rear-body region. Furthermore, these multiple rear-body elastic members can be joined to the material constituting the rear-body region by a joint made of hot-melt adhesive while extended relative to the material constituting the rear-body region.
[0118] In the pant-type absorbent article of this disclosure, if the rear waist area extends in the width direction and is provided with a plurality of rear elastic members arranged at a predetermined rear pitch in the longitudinal direction, then in the unfolded state, the rear edge of the second absorbent body may or may not overlap with the plurality of rear elastic members in the width direction, but it is preferable that they overlap. As a result, the rear end of the second absorbent body conforms more easily to the wearer's buttocks due to the contraction of the rear elastic members while the absorbent article is being worn, and the absorbent article has excellent fit.
[0119] In the pant-type absorbent article according to this disclosure, the second absorbent body may be joined to the first absorbent body by its entire surface, or by a part thereof, that is, it may have a body-to-body joining portion in which the second absorbent body is detachably joined to the first absorbent body, and a body-to-body non-joint portion in which the second absorbent body is not joined to the first absorbent body.
[0120] Preferably, the absorbent article has alternating sections of joints between main bodies and sections of non-joints between main bodies in the width direction. This allows the second absorbent body to fit more easily to the wearer's body at the non-joint sections in the width direction, resulting in superior fit.
[0121] Preferably, the joint portion between the main bodies is located at both ends in the width direction of the front end of the second absorbent body, and the non-joint portion between the main bodies is located in the center in the width direction of the front end of the second absorbent body. This arrangement allows the wearer to easily adjust the position of the second absorbent body by grasping the convex portion with their hand when wearing the absorbent article, as the elastic member around the front waist contracts, resulting in a superior fit for the absorbent article. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body, the convex shape at the center in the width direction of the front end of the second absorbent body allows the wearer to easily remove the second absorbent body by grasping the convex portion with their hand. Note that the ends in the width direction refer to the 30% area from both ends of the width direction of the second absorbent body, and the center in the width direction refers to the area between these two points.
[0122] In the pant-type absorbent article of this disclosure, if the rear waist area and / or rear crotch area extends in the width direction and is provided with a plurality of rear elastic members arranged at a predetermined rear pitch in the longitudinal direction, it is preferable that the joint between the main bodies is located at both ends in the width direction of the rear end of the second absorbent body, and the non-joint between the main bodies is located in the center in the width direction of the rear end of the second absorbent body. As a result, when wearing the absorbent article, the center in the width direction of the rear end of the second absorbent body forms a convex shape as the rear elastic members contract, making it easier for the wearer to adjust the position of the second absorbent body by grasping the convex part with their hand, and the absorbent article has excellent fit. Furthermore, when removing the second absorbent body, since the center in the width direction of the rear end of the second absorbent body forms a convex shape, it is easier for the wearer to remove the second absorbent body by grasping the convex part with their hand.
[0123] In the pant-type absorbent article according to this disclosure, the first absorbent body may further include a first absorbent body elastic member that extends from the front crotch area to the rear crotch area in a direction along the longitudinal direction. This makes it easier for the first absorbent body elastic member to conform the second absorbent body to the wearer's buttocks while the absorbent article is being worn, and the absorbent article has excellent fit.
[0124] In this specification, the direction along the longitudinal direction means that it is ±45° or less from the longitudinal direction. The direction along the longitudinal direction is preferably ±30° or less, more preferably ±20° or less, even more preferably ±10° or less, even more preferably ±5° or less, and even more preferably parallel to the longitudinal direction.
[0125] The first absorbent body elastic member described above can be composed of one or more linear elastic members (for example, filamentous elastic members), or it can be composed of a planar elastic member (for example, a stretchable nonwoven fabric).
[0126] When the first absorbent main body elastic member is composed of multiple linear elastic members, the multiple linear elastic members may have the same or different lengths in the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, the multiple linear elastic members may be arranged at the same widthwise pitch, or at different widthwise pitches.
[0127] The position of the elastic member of the first absorbent body in the thickness direction is preferably located on the non-skin side of the first absorbent core. Examples include the space between the first absorbent core and the first core wrap, the space between the first core wrap and the first back sheet, the space between the first back sheet and the sheet constituting the first absorbent body disposed on its non-skin side (e.g., a nonwoven fabric sheet, e.g., a hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheet), the space between the first absorbent body and the outer sheet, and the space between the two sheets constituting the outer sheet (e.g., a nonwoven fabric sheet, e.g., a hydrophobic nonwoven fabric sheet).
[0128] The first absorbent body elastic member can be joined to an adjacent sheet in the thickness direction with a stretch ratio of preferably 1.1 times or more, more preferably 1.5 times or more, and even more preferably 2.0 times or more, from the viewpoint of making it easier to bring the absorbent body into contact with the wearer's excretory opening. Furthermore, the first absorbent body elastic member can be joined to an adjacent sheet in the thickness direction with a stretch ratio of preferably 3.5 times or less, more preferably 3.2 times or less, and even more preferably 3.0 times or less, from the viewpoint described above.
[0129] The first absorbent body elastic member may or may not overlap with the non-joint portion between the bodies in the thickness direction, but it is preferable that at least a part of the first absorbent body elastic member overlaps with the non-joint portion between the bodies in the thickness direction, and it is more preferable that the entirety of the first absorbent body elastic member overlaps with the non-joint portion between the bodies in the thickness direction. As a result, the portion of the first absorbent body elastic member that overlaps with the non-joint portion between the bodies in the thickness direction is less affected even when the second absorbent body moves due to the wearer's body movements, and can hold the first absorbent body. Consequently, the absorbent article has excellent fit.
[0130] The second absorbent body may or may not have an expandable member that extends along the longitudinal direction in the crotch area, but it is preferable that it does not have such a member. This makes it less likely for the second absorbent body to contract differently from the first absorbent body in the longitudinal direction, and the absorbent article has excellent fit. If the second absorbent body is located in the front and / or rear torso area, for the same reason, it is preferable that the second absorbent body in that area does not have an expandable member that extends along the longitudinal direction.
[0131] The pant-type absorbent article according to this disclosure may be equipped with a front cover sheet that covers the front edge of the first absorbent body. This makes it less likely for the wearer to feel discomfort at the front edge of the first absorbent body and reduces the likelihood of bodily fluids leaking from the front edge of the first absorbent body. In the deployed state described above, if the front edge of the first absorbent body is positioned closer to the front edge of the second absorbent body than the front edge of the second absorbent body, it is preferable that the front cover sheet is positioned to cover the front edge of the first absorbent body but not the front edge of the second absorbent body. This makes it less likely for the absorbent article to tear at the front gripping portion when the front of the absorbent article is pulled up when wearing it, due to the front cover sheet covering the front edge of the first absorbent body. From this viewpoint, it is preferable that the front cover sheet covers at least a part of the front gripping portion, and more preferably covers the entire front gripping portion. Furthermore, while wearing the absorbent item, the front cover sheet that covers the front edge of the first absorbent body makes leakage less likely at the front edge of the first absorbent body. In addition, when removing the second absorbent body, the front cover sheet does not cover the front edge of the second absorbent body, resulting in superior removal of the second absorbent body.
[0132] The pant-type absorbent article relating to this disclosure may be equipped with a rear cover sheet that covers the rear edge of the first absorbent body. This reduces the wearer's discomfort with the rear edge of the first absorbent body and prevents bodily fluids from leaking from the rear edge of the first absorbent body.
[0133] In the above-described unfolded state, if the rear edge of the first absorbent body is positioned closer to the rear edge of the second absorbent body than the rear edge of the second absorbent body, it is preferable that the rear cover sheet is positioned to cover the rear edge of the first absorbent body but not the rear edge of the second absorbent body. This makes it less likely for the absorbent article to tear at the rear gripping portion when the rear of the absorbent article is pulled up while wearing it, due to the rear cover sheet covering the rear edge of the first absorbent body. From this viewpoint, it is preferable that the rear cover sheet covers at least a part of the rear gripping portion, and more preferably that it covers the entire rear gripping portion. Furthermore, while wearing the absorbent article, leakage at the rear edge of the first absorbent body is less likely to occur due to the rear cover sheet covering the rear edge of the first absorbent body. In addition, when removing the second absorbent body, the removal of the second absorbent body is excellent because the rear cover sheet does not cover the rear edge of the second absorbent body.
[0134] In the pant-type absorbent article according to this disclosure, the first absorbent body may be provided with a pair of leak-proof walls. In this case, in the unfolded state and in the thickness direction, at least one, preferably both, of the front edge and rear edge of the second absorbent body in the width direction may or may not be positioned between the pair of leak-proof walls and the material constituting the first absorbent body (e.g., the first top sheet), but it is preferable that they be positioned. As a result, at least one, preferably both, of the front edge and rear edge of the second absorbent body, the width direction size of the second absorbent body becomes close to the width direction size of the first absorbent body, and when the absorbent article is used, the pair of leak-proof walls can suppress leakage from the second absorbent body. Therefore, the absorbent article is less likely to leak when the second absorbent body is used.
[0135] In the pant-type absorbent article according to this disclosure, if the first absorbent body is provided with a pair of leak-proof walls, the pair of leak-proof walls may be provided with a pair of front leak-proof wall joints that join the pair of leak-proof walls to the top sheet in the front waist area. In this case, it is preferable that the pair of front leak-proof wall joints are positioned closer to the front edge than the front edge of the second absorbent body in the longitudinal direction. This makes it less likely for the portions of the pair of leak-proof walls closer to the front edge to curl up when the absorbent article is used, especially when the second absorbent body is used. As a result, the absorbent article is less likely to leak when the second absorbent body is used.
[0136] The outer edge of the joint between the main bodies, which is the outer edge in the width direction of the joint between the main bodies, can be positioned outside or inside the inner edge in the width direction of the pair of front leak-proof wall joints, or at a position that coincides with the inner edge of the front leak-proof wall joint, and it is preferable that it is positioned outside in the width direction of the inner edge of the front leak-proof wall joint. This makes it less likely for the longitudinal and widthwise ends of the front end of the second absorbent body to curl up while the absorbent article is being worn, making it less likely for the wearer to feel discomfort, and making it less likely for leakage to occur when the second absorbent body is in use.
[0137] In the pant-type absorbent article according to this disclosure, if the first absorbent body is provided with a pair of leak-proof walls, the pair of leak-proof walls may be provided with a pair of rear leak-proof wall joints that join the pair of leak-proof walls to the top sheet in the rear waist area. In this case, it is preferable that the pair of rear leak-proof wall joints are positioned closer to the rear edge than the rear edge of the second absorbent body in the longitudinal direction. This makes it less likely for the rear portion of the pair of leak-proof walls to curl up when the absorbent article is used, especially when the second absorbent body is used. As a result, the absorbent article is less likely to leak when the second absorbent body is used.
[0138] The outer edge of the joint between the main bodies, which is the outer edge in the width direction of the joint between the main bodies, can be positioned outside or inside the inner edge of the rear leak-proof wall joint, which is the inner edge in the width direction of each of the pair of rear leak-proof wall joints, or at a position that coincides with the inner edge of the rear leak-proof wall joint, and it is preferable that it is positioned outside in the width direction of the inner edge of the rear leak-proof wall joint. As a result, when wearing the absorbent article, the longitudinal and widthwise ends of the rear end of the second absorbent body are less likely to curl up, the wearer is less likely to feel discomfort, and leakage is less likely to occur when using the second absorbent body.
[0139] In the above-described unfolded state, the front edge of the first absorbent body elastic member may or may not be positioned closer to the centerline in the width direction than the front edge of the second absorbent body. Similarly, the rear edge of the first absorbent body elastic member may or may not be positioned closer to the centerline in the width direction than the rear edge of the second absorbent body.
[0140] In the above-described unfolded state, the front edge of the first absorbent body elastic member is positioned closer to the centerline in the width direction than the front edge of the second absorbent body, and the rear edge of the first absorbent body elastic member is positioned closer to the centerline in the width direction than the rear edge of the second absorbent body. In this case, the distance between the front edges from the front edge of the second absorbent body to the front edge of the first absorbent body elastic member may be longer or shorter than the distance between the rear edges from the rear edge of the second absorbent body to the rear edge of the first absorbent body elastic member. Preferably, the distance between the front edges is longer than the distance between the rear edges. As a result, in the absorbent article, the front end of the second absorbent body of the second absorbent body is less likely to contract in the width direction and form wrinkles due to the influence of the contraction force of the front waist elastic member, resulting in a superior fit when the absorbent article is worn. Furthermore, as a result, the rear end of the second absorbent body of the second absorbent body fits more easily to the wearer's buttocks, resulting in a superior fit when the absorbent article is worn.
[0141] From the above viewpoint, the distance between the front edges is preferably 1.5 times or more, more preferably 2.0 times or more, even more preferably 2.3 times or more, and even more preferably 2.6 times or more, longer than the distance between the rear edges. Also from the above viewpoint, the distance between the front edges is preferably 5.0 times or less, more preferably 4.5 times or less, even more preferably 4.0 times or less, and even more preferably 3.5 times or less, longer than the distance between the rear edges. Note that the distance between the front edges and the distance between the rear edges refer to the length in the direction parallel to the longitudinal direction.
[0142] From the above viewpoint, the distance between the front edges is preferably 5% or more, more preferably 10% or more, and even more preferably 13% or more of the length of the second absorbent body in the longitudinal direction. Also from the above viewpoint, the distance between the front edges is preferably 35% or less, more preferably 30% or less, and even more preferably 25% or less of the length of the second absorbent body in the longitudinal direction.
[0143] In the above-described unfolded state, the distance from the front edge of the second absorbent body to the center line in the width direction may be longer or shorter than the distance from the rear edge of the second absorbent body to the center line in the width direction. Preferably, the distance from the front of the second absorbent body is longer than the distance from the rear of the second absorbent body. This makes it less likely for the front end of the second absorbent body of the absorbent article to contract in the width direction and form wrinkles due to the contraction force of the front waist elastic member, resulting in a superior fit when the absorbent article is worn. In addition, the rear end of the second absorbent body of the second absorbent body fits more easily to the wearer's buttocks, resulting in a superior fit when the absorbent article is worn. Note that the distance from the front of the second absorbent body and the distance from the rear of the second absorbent body refer to the length in the direction parallel to the longitudinal direction.
[0144] In the above-described unfolded state, the front edge of the second absorbent body is positioned closer to the centerline in the width direction than the front edge of the first absorbent body, and the rear edge of the second absorbent body is positioned closer to the centerline in the width direction than the rear edge of the first absorbent body. In this case, the distance between the front body parts from the front edge of the first absorbent body to the front edge of the second absorbent body may be longer or shorter than the distance between the rear body parts from the rear edge of the first absorbent body to the rear edge of the second absorbent body. It is preferable that the distance between the front body parts is shorter than the distance between the rear body parts. As a result, in the absorbent article, the front end of the second absorbent body is less likely to contract in the width direction and form wrinkles due to the influence of the contraction force of the front waist elastic member, due to the proximity of the first absorbent body, and the absorbent article has a better fit while being worn. In addition, the first absorbent body fits more easily to the wearer's buttocks, and the absorbent article has a better fit while being worn.
[0145] From the above viewpoint, the distance between the front bodies is preferably 0.8 times or less, more preferably 0.7 times or less, and even more preferably 0.6 times or less, compared to the distance between the rear bodies. Also from the above viewpoint, the distance between the front bodies is preferably 0.2 times or more, more preferably 0.3 times or more, and even more preferably 0.4 times or more, compared to the distance between the rear bodies.
[0146] From the above viewpoint, the distance between the rear bodies is preferably 40% or less, more preferably 30% or less, and even more preferably 25% or less, relative to the longitudinal length of the first absorbent body. Also from the above viewpoint, the distance between the rear bodies is preferably 10% or more, more preferably 14% or more, and even more preferably 17% or more, relative to the longitudinal length of the first absorbent body. Note that the distance between the front bodies and the distance between the rear bodies refer to the length in a direction parallel to the longitudinal direction.
