Abstract
Description
[0001] 202402346
[0002] 1 / 23
[0003] Household refrigeration unit with food storage container and a food storage container held inside by a holding device.
[0004] One aspect of the invention relates to a household refrigeration appliance. The household refrigeration appliance has at least one storage compartment for food. This storage compartment can be a refrigerator compartment or a freezer compartment. The storage compartment is therefore a food storage compartment. The storage compartment is bounded by the walls of the household refrigeration appliance. Furthermore, the household refrigeration appliance has a separate food storage container.
[0005] Household refrigeration appliances with such container-in-container systems are known. For example, CN 20 2092 406 U discloses the insertion of an additional bearing tray into a drawer of a refrigeration appliance. The bearing tray is arranged to rest at least partially on an upper edge of the drawer.
[0006] This design means the bearing shell necessarily extends across the entire clear width of the drawer opening. Therefore, once the bearing shell is in place, access to the drawer's interior is either impossible or extremely difficult. Furthermore, adding other components to the drawer, such as a lid, becomes impossible, as a complete closure would then be unreasonable.
[0007] The object of the present invention is to create a household refrigeration appliance in which a container-in-container system is configured to better meet requirements, so that the handling and accessibility of the system is improved.
[0008] This problem is solved by a household refrigeration appliance having the features in claim 1.
[0009] One aspect of the invention relates to a household refrigeration appliance. The household refrigeration appliance has at least one storage compartment for food. The storage compartment can be a 202402346
[0010] 2 / 23
[0011] The storage compartment can be a refrigerator or freezer compartment. Therefore, the storage space is a food storage space. This space is bounded by the walls of the household refrigerator. Furthermore, the household refrigerator has a separate food storage container.
[0012] The food storage container has walls. It can be detachably attached to the storage compartment. This means it can be reversibly attached to and removed from the compartment without being damaged. The household refrigerator also includes a separate food storage container. This food storage container is separate from the food storage container. It can be detachably attached to, or is already attached to, one of the walls of the food storage container by means of a retaining device.
[0013] The holding device has at least one retaining groove. This groove is designed to allow a coupling tab of the holding device to engage detachably. The retaining groove is positioned downwards in the container wall, offset from the upper edge of a tub section of the food storage container. The coupling tab projects upwards when viewed vertically.
[0014] This creates a container-within-a-container system for the household refrigerator, simplifying the reversible attachment and removal of the food storage container inside the food storage container. Furthermore, it allows access to the volume of the food storage container, which is limited by the container walls, because the retaining groove is a separate device from the upper edge. This allows the food storage container to be positioned precisely and reversibly on a container wall, even with a gap between it and the upper edge of the tub section, without making contact with it. The upper edge of the tub section is not intended to support the food storage container.Rather, the upper edge of the food storage container remains unoccupied even when the food storage container is fitted with it. This allows other components, such as a lid for the food storage container, to be placed on this 202402346.
[0015] 3 / 23
[0016] The tub section is then attached. This allows for complete and unrestricted closure of the food storage container. In this state, unwanted leaks through the interface between the lid and the tub section can be avoided.
[0017] Furthermore, a retaining groove represents a superior component for securing the food storage container to a container wall. This groove is specifically designed for the coupling tab. The attachment of this coupling tab is mechanically stable, thus enabling the food storage container to be secured solely by this retaining groove. The food storage container can therefore be positioned without contact, both downwards and towards other container walls where the retaining groove is not present. This results in a very simple retaining device concept that nevertheless ensures a secure and mechanically stable attachment of the food storage container to one of the container walls inside the food storage container.
[0018] The retaining groove can be formed on the container wall. In this case, the coupling tab is formed on the food storage container. Alternatively, the retaining groove can be formed on the food storage container, while the coupling tab is formed on the container wall. These components are particularly well integrated and thus form a single piece with the container wall and the food storage container.
[0019] In one embodiment, the coupling tab is arranged vertically and cantilevers upwards. This exposed arrangement makes coupling with the retaining groove particularly easy. This allows for jam-free, spread-free, and precise assembly and disassembly. The user can always visually inspect the coupling tab to accurately insert it into the retaining groove and achieve the final, secure position.
[0020] In one embodiment, the retaining groove is limited in the vertical direction by a roof wall or a ceiling wall. This also achieves that 202402346
[0021] 4 / 23
[0022] The coupling tab, viewed in the vertical direction, cannot slip out of the retaining groove in the mounted end position by a simple linear vertical movement, or be raised so high that it slides out of the retaining groove solely by this vertical movement.
[0023] In one embodiment, a first edge section of the upper rim, formed in the area of the retaining groove, is flush with a second edge section of the upper rim formed outside the retaining groove. This creates a minimalist design with regard to the height of the upper rim. In particular, the entire upper rim can then be at the same height. This allows for particularly precise and leak-minimizing or leak-free placement of a lid. Manufacturing such a geometry is also simpler in this respect.
[0024] In one embodiment, the retaining groove is formed on the inner side of a side wall of the food storage container. In this context, the side wall represents a container wall that, in addition to a front and rear wall, forms the vertically oriented container walls. The food storage container, and in particular the tub section, may also have a bottom wall. The inner side of this side wall faces the volumetric space of the tub section. Thus, the retaining groove is integrated and therefore formed integrally with such a specific container wall and can be individually positioned. This allows a food storage container to be easily arranged inside or within the volumetric space of the tub section. Apart from the direct mechanical attachment to the container wall, the mounting is otherwise non-contacting and cantilevered from the other walls of the tub section.
[0025] In one embodiment, the retaining groove has an upwardly projecting pocket area. This pocket is bounded horizontally by a boundary wall in relation to the volume area or container volume of the tub section. In the assembled end position of the food storage container, the coupling tab projects vertically into this pocket area on the container wall. This results in a particularly advantageous retaining position. 202402346
[0026] 5 / 23
[0027] This prevents the coupling tab from slipping out of the retaining groove, both vertically and horizontally.
[0028] In one embodiment, the boundary wall extends uninterrupted over the entire length of the retaining groove. Thus, the retaining groove is limited towards the container volume, at least in this upwardly oriented pocket area or in this vertically oriented retaining groove area, which represents an undercut pocket area.
[0029] In one embodiment, the boundary wall can extend only partially along the entire length of the retaining groove. In particular, it is then only formed in sections. It can be provided that it is then only formed at the end regions of the retaining groove when viewed along its longitudinal axis. This allows for a minimalist design with regard to the size of this boundary wall, which nevertheless securely receives and holds the coupling tab.
[0030] In one embodiment, the retaining groove has a length that essentially corresponds to the length of the coupling tab. This ensures that the coupling tab is securely positioned within the retaining groove in the assembled end position, preventing displacement along the longitudinal axis of the groove. This effectively provides for only a single, predetermined, defined position of the food storage container on the container wall.
[0031] It is also possible that the retaining groove has a length greater than the length of the coupling tab, such that the coupling tab, in its assembled end position, is slidably arranged within the retaining groove along its longitudinal axis. In particular, this defined and intended sliding capability of the food storage container by a specific length is predetermined. Specifically, the length of the retaining groove is at least 10 percent longer than the length of the coupling tab. This allows for the continuous adjustment of various positions of the food storage container along the retaining groove on the container wall. This can offer advantages with regard to the desired mounting position. On the other hand, this sliding capability can also restrict access to the container volume, particularly in the area of 202402346.
[0032] 6 / 23
[0033] The process can be simplified below the food storage container in its final position. This is achieved by sliding the food storage container along the retaining groove while it is positioned within it.
[0034] In one embodiment, the holding device has a first retaining groove in a container wall. It can be provided that a separate second retaining groove is formed in a container wall. This can be in the same container wall or in a different container wall. This allows, for example, the food storage container to be attached to a single container wall at different positions, particularly at different heights and / or at different horizontal positions. Alternatively, in another embodiment, it can be selectively arranged on different container walls. This multiple configuration of a retaining groove system with several separate grooves thus enables the food storage container to be attached within the container volume depending on the situation and / or allows the remaining container volume to be used and equipped more individually.
[0035] In one embodiment, the holding device has a first retaining groove in a container wall of the food storage container and a separate second retaining groove in a wall of the door or the inner container. In particular, the second retaining groove is functionally and / or geometrically identical to the first retaining groove. This allows an identical food storage container, such as a door divider, to be selectively positioned in either the first or the second retaining groove.
[0036] In one embodiment, the at least one retaining groove is formed at least partially in a front half of the depth of the food storage container, in particular a front third of the depth of a side wall of the food storage container. This advantageously ensures accessibility even when the food storage container is arranged in the receiving space or is only partially withdrawn from it due to its reversible displacement capability.
[0037] 7 / 23
[0038] In one embodiment, the food storage container is transparent. This is advantageous because the remaining volume of the food storage container is largely visible even when the food storage container is installed within it. In particular, the container volume can then be at least partially viewed through the food storage container.
[0039] In one embodiment, the food storage container has a lid separate from the tub section. When attached, this lid rests on the upper edge of the tub section, effectively creating a closed food storage container. In particular, the lid can cover the food storage container from above.
[0040] In one embodiment, the retaining groove is formed integrally in the container wall. In another embodiment, it can also be part of a separate adapter that is separate from the container wall and can be detachably attached to the container wall.
[0041] This food storage container can, for example, be a door divider. In particular, it can then be used and positioned in a multifunctional or multi-location manner. For example, if the household refrigerator has a door with an inner wall facing the storage compartment, the door divider can optionally be positioned on this inner wall. This inner wall can also be a wall that defines the storage compartment when the door is closed. This inner wall can also have at least one retaining groove in which the coupling tab can be inserted and, in particular, hooked into place without damage. Specifically, the retaining groove of the inner wall of the door is functionally and / or geometrically identical to the retaining groove of a container wall of the food storage container. This allows an identical food storage container, such as a door divider, to be optionally placed on the inside wall of the door or inside this food storage container.
[0042] As already explained above, this upper edge of the tub section is not connected to the food storage container when the food storage container is loaded, 202402346
[0043] 8 / 23
[0044] Even when empty, the tray is either occupied by components of the food storage container or in direct contact with it. The lid may simply rest on the tray. However, it may also be securely attached, for example, by a snap-fit connection or similar mechanism. For instance, the tray in a freezer compartment, as an example of a storage space, could be designed as a drawer. The drawer can be removed from the storage space, e.g., the freezer compartment, without damage and can be reinserted. The aforementioned concept of multiple retaining grooves, one on a container wall of the food storage container and the other on an inner wall of a door, makes it possible to remove a food storage container with stored goods from the freezer compartment in the retaining groove of the food storage container located there and, for example, place it in the refrigerator compartment in the retaining groove on the inner wall of the door, so that the stored goods can be thawed there.
[0045] It is possible that the household refrigerator has several such tray sections for food storage containers. At least one tray section has at least one retaining groove, as described, on the inside of a container wall.

[0060] Figure 1 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of a household refrigeration appliance 1. The household refrigeration appliance 1 is designed for storing and preserving food. The household refrigeration appliance 1 can be a refrigerator or a freezer. It can also be a refrigerator-freezer combination appliance. 202402346
[0061] 10 / 23
[0062] The household refrigeration appliance 1 has a housing 2 or body. The housing 2 contains at least one storage compartment 3 for food. The storage compartment 3 can be a refrigerator compartment or a freezer compartment. The household refrigeration appliance 1 has an inner container 4. The inner container 4 defines the storage compartment 3 with walls. These walls can include vertical side walls 5 and 6, a rear wall 7, a top wall 8, and a bottom wall 9. It is also possible that the storage compartment 3 is not directly defined by the walls 5 to 9 of the inner container 4, but rather that there is at least one separate wall located within the storage compartment 3 that at least partially covers or clads one of these walls 5 to 9 of the inner container 4 on the side facing the storage compartment 3. Such a separate wall could, for example, be a panel wall.
[0063] Furthermore, the household refrigeration appliance has a door 10. The door 10 is shown here in the open position. It can pivot about a pivot axis oriented in the vertical direction (y-direction) of the household refrigeration appliance 1. The door 10 is movably mounted on the housing 2. The door 10 has a wall 11. This wall 11 is an interior wall. When the door 10 is closed, the wall 11 faces the receiving space 3. Thus, when the door 10 is closed, this door 11 also defines the boundaries of the receiving space 3.
[0064] The household refrigeration appliance 1 also has at least one food storage container. Such a food storage container 12 is shown in Fig. 1. It can, for example, be a so-called door divider. However, it is also possible that a food storage container 12 can be detachably attached to a wall 5 to 9, in particular the vertical side walls 5 and 6 of the inner container 4, or in particular, detachably suspended. A food storage container 12 can be formed by a tub-like or bowl-like body. It is also possible that a food storage container 12 additionally has a lid. In that case, a food storage container 12 can also be a closed box.
[0065] In Fig. 1, the number of food storage containers 12, as well as their position and geometry, are merely exemplary and by no means exhaustive. The202402346
[0066] 11 / 23
[0067] Further explanations for a food storage container 12 are presented here, particularly in the context of a door shelf. It should be mentioned again at this point that a food storage container and the following explanations apply not only to a door shelf, but also to a food storage container that can be attached to a wall 5 to 9 of the inner container 4. It is also possible that a food storage container 12 can optionally be attached to wall 11 or to one of the walls 5 to 9 using a holding device, which will be explained below.
[0068] A food storage container 12 can be detachably attached to one of the aforementioned walls 5 to 9, 11 by means of a holding device 13.
[0069] The holding device 13 has a retaining groove 14. The retaining groove 14 is, in particular, a wall-side retaining groove 14. This means that it is arranged on the wall to which the food storage container 12 is intended to be detachably attached. The retaining groove 14 is thus integrally formed on the retaining wall or mounting wall to which a food storage container 12 is detachably attached, in particular by way of suspension. In the exemplary embodiment, several retaining grooves 14 are formed in the exemplary wall 11, of which only some are provided with the reference lines for the sake of clarity.
[0070] A retaining groove 14 is formed integrally with the wall 11, which is also formed integrally. The wall 11 can be made of plastic. It can be manufactured, for example, by thermoforming or injection molding.
[0071] In the exemplary embodiment, a retaining groove 14 is, in particular, completely, horizontally oriented. Here, it is oriented in the width direction (x-direction) of the household refrigerator 1 when the door 10 is closed. It has a longitudinal axis A.
[0072] In this context, Fig. 2 shows an embodiment of a door 10 according to the invention for a household refrigerator 1. This door 10 corresponds here to the door 10 in Fig. 1, as it is movably mounted on the housing 2.
[0073] 12 / 23
[0074] Fig. 3 shows the door 10 facing the wall 11 and the food storage containers 12 removed. The multiple retaining grooves 14, which are oriented parallel to each other, are visible.
[0075] Furthermore, Fig. 1 shows an example of a food storage container 15. This can be arranged in a refrigerator compartment of the household refrigerator 1. In particular, it is provided that the household refrigerator 1 has a storage compartment for food, which is a freezer compartment. This can, for example, be located in a lower area of the household refrigerator 1. It can be thermally insulated from the storage compartment 3, if the latter is a refrigerator compartment. In particular, if such a freezer compartment is present, a food storage container 16 can also be provided in this freezer compartment.
[0076] Exemplary embodiments of a food storage container 15, 16 are described below. Figure 4 shows only a partial section of such a food storage container 16. The following explanations can also be applied to a food storage container 15 that, for example, as mentioned, is arranged in a refrigerator compartment of a household refrigerator. The food storage container 16 is separate from the receiving space 3 and, in particular, from the inner container 4. It can be moved, for example, in the depth direction of the household refrigerator 1 relative to the inner container 4, and in particular, pulled out and pushed in linearly. In the exemplary embodiment, the food storage container 16 has a tub section 17. This tub section 17 has a container volume 18. The container volume 18 is bounded by container walls 19, 20, as well as further vertical side walls and a bottom wall 21.The tub section 17 has an upper rim 22. In one embodiment, this upper rim 22 is formed on at least one container wall, here the container wall 19. Particularly when viewed vertically, it is formed at the same level, i.e., it runs horizontally. In one embodiment, this can apply to an entire upper rim 22 that extends around all vertical side walls.
[0077] Viewed vertically, a retaining groove 23 is integrated into the container wall 19, offset downwards. This retaining groove 23 is part of a holding device 24. A food-grade container is secured with this holding device 24.
[0078] 13 / 23
[0079] Storage container 25, with a container volume of 18, can be attached, removed, and detached without damage. The food storage container 25 is separate from the food storage container 16. The food storage container 25 preferably also has a trough-like base body or a trough section 26. In particular, the food storage container 25 is formed in one piece. It is made of plastic, for example, it can be an injection-molded component. The food storage container 25 has a side wall 27. This side wall 27 faces the wall 19 of the food storage container 16 in the assembled final state. A coupling tab 28 of the food storage container 25 faces the container wall 19 of the food storage container 16. This coupling tab 28 is formed integrally with the food storage container 25.The coupling tab 28 is also part of the holding device 24. As can be seen in Fig. 4, the food storage container 25 is arranged with the holding device 24 in a horizontal direction and cantilevered downwards in the container volume 18. It is thus mechanically connected locally at one point, in particular only with this coupling tab 28 and only with this container wall 19.
[0080] The retaining groove 23 has a cavity 29. The coupling tab 28 engages in this cavity. This cavity 29 of the retaining groove 23 is bounded towards the container volume 18 by a boundary wall 30. This boundary wall 30 extends along a longitudinal axis A of the retaining groove 23 over only a portion of the cavity 29. Specifically, this boundary wall 30 is only formed at the opposite ends of the cavity 29 when viewed along this longitudinal axis A. The coupling tab 28 is longer along the longitudinal axis A than the clear width between the sub-elements, particularly these end-end sub-elements of the boundary wall 30. As a result, the coupling tab 28, especially with its vertically oriented leg 31, also engages in pockets at the ends of the retaining groove 23. These pockets are thus formed as vertically oriented retaining groove sections. They are designed in particular as undercut areas. The coupling tab 28 is a tab projecting upwards from an upper edge of the side wall 27 in the vertical direction, in particular projecting upwards. It is designed in particular as a strip with the upwardly projecting leg 31. The coupling tab 28 can be configured in a 202402346.
[0081] 14 / 23
[0082] In a sectional view perpendicular to the longitudinal axis A, the structure is L-shaped. It then has a horizontal leg 32 and a vertically projecting leg 31. In one embodiment, the retaining groove 23, viewed vertically, can be bounded upwards by a ceiling wall or a roof wall 33. The roof wall 33 can extend over the entire length of the retaining groove 23, in particular over the entire length of the cavity 29. However, it is also possible that this roof wall 33 is only formed over partial areas. In particular, it is formed over partial areas in which this front boundary wall 30, facing the container volume 18, is also formed.
[0083] As can be seen in Fig. 4, the retaining groove 23 is offset downwards relative to the upper edge 22 when viewed in the vertical direction. This means that in the assembled final state shown in Fig. 4, or in this assembled final position of the food storage container 25 on the container wall 19, neither the food storage container 25 with its tub section 26 nor the upwardly projecting coupling tab 28 would abut or be in contact with the upper edge 22. The upper edge 22 is positioned higher than the coupling tab 28, at least in the area of the retaining groove 23. In particular, it is provided that a first edge section 22a of the upper edge 22, formed in the area of the retaining groove 23, is flush with a second edge section 22b of the upper edge 22, formed outside the retaining groove 23.This also applies in particular to further edge sections of the upper rim 22, which are formed, for example, on a container wall opposite a side wall 19, and / or are formed as a container wall oriented vertically towards a rear wall. Thus, such an upper rim 22 can be formed at the same height, at least for the rear wall and the opposite side walls, which represent container walls oriented vertically. In particular, a lid of an embodiment of a food storage container 16, not yet shown in Fig. 4, can then be fitted precisely onto this upper rim 22.
[0084] As can be seen in Fig. 4, the retaining groove 23 is formed on an inner surface 19a of the container wall 19, which is designed as a side wall. It is thus open in the horizontal direction towards the container volume 18. In the assembled end position of the food storage container 25 shown in Fig. 4, it is 202402346
[0085] 15 / 23
[0086] The food storage container 25 is designed to be positioned without contact with the upper edge 22 and at a distance from it. Therefore, no part of the food storage container 25 rests directly against or on the upper edge 22.
[0087] Figure 4 shows the pocket areas 34, 35 extending upwards in the vertical direction. In the exemplary embodiment, the end regions of the coupling tab 28, in particular the vertical leg 31, are inserted into these pockets when viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis A. As already mentioned, the front boundary wall 30 can extend uninterrupted along the entire length of the retaining groove 23, in particular the hollow area 29, when viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis A. Figure 4 shows only a partially formed front boundary wall 30.
[0088] It is possible that, viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis A, the retaining groove 23 has a dimension that essentially corresponds to the dimension of the coupling tab 28, in particular the vertical leg 31. This allows for precise, reversible attachment of the coupling tab 28 in the retaining groove 23. In another embodiment, it is also possible that the retaining groove 23, in particular the hollow area 29 viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis A, has a dimension that is, for example, at least 10 percent larger than the length of the coupling tab 28, in particular the vertical leg 31. This allows the food storage container 25 to be moved in the direction of the longitudinal axis A in the retaining groove 23 and thus in the assembled state. Various positions of the food storage container along the longitudinal axis A in the retaining groove 23 can therefore be continuously adjusted. As shown in Fig.As can also be seen in Figure 4, the retaining groove 23, viewed in the direction of depth, is formed at least partially in a front third of the depth of the side container wall 19.
[0089] Figure 5 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of a food storage container 16. In this example, the tub section 17 and a separate lid 36, placed on the upper rim 22, are shown. A food storage container 25 is shown in its assembled final position within the container volume 18. The holding device 24 is also a hanging device. Figure 5 also shows further container walls 37, which here form a 202402346
[0090] 16 / 23
[0091] The rear wall is shown, and 38, which represents another side wall oriented in the vertical direction, is shown.
[0092] Figure 6 shows a vertical sectional view of a portion of the food storage container 16 according to Figure 5. This section is shown along section line VI-VI in Figure 5. The suspended state of the food storage container 25 is visible. The L-shaped coupling tab 28 with its L-shaped legs 31 and 32 is shown in cross-section. The non-contact arrangement of the coupling tab 28 is shown, particularly with the leg 31, which projects furthest upwards, offset downwards from the upper edge 22.
[0093] Figure 7 shows a perspective sectional view of the container wall 22. A vertical section in the area of the retaining groove 23 is shown. The pocket area 35 is also visible.
[0094] In one embodiment, it is also possible that several separate retaining grooves 23 are formed on a container wall. These can be formed at different positions on the inner side of a container wall, either vertically and / or vertically. Additionally or instead, it is also possible that at least one retaining groove 23 is formed on the inner side of one container wall and at least one further retaining groove is formed on the inner side of a different container wall.
[0095] Figure 8 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of a food storage container 25. For example, this could be a door divider. As can be seen here, a vertical leg 31 projects upwards. This means that, viewed in the vertical direction, it extends above the tub section 26.
[0096] Figure 9 shows a further embodiment of a food storage container 25 in a perspective view. In contrast to the embodiment in Figure 8, here the vertical leg 31 is designed to cantilever downwards when viewed in the vertical direction. Thus, in this embodiment, it overlaps with the side wall 27, in particular completely overlapping with the 202402346
[0097] 17 / 23
[0098] Side wall 27 formed. This embodiment can then be realized with a retaining groove that is oriented downwards in the vertical direction and thus has at least one pocket area 34 and / or 35 that is formed downwards in the vertical direction.
[0099] Figure 10 shows a further embodiment of a food storage container 16 in a partial perspective view. Here, too, a separate food storage container 25 is shown in its assembled final position. As can be seen, the upper edge 22 of the container wall 19 is not completely at the same height along its corresponding length. Rather, a first edge section 22a is formed, which, viewed vertically, is lower than a further edge section 22b. The further edge section 22b is not intended to accommodate a coupling tab 28 of the food storage container 25 from above. Instead, only the downwardly offset edge section 22a is provided, which the food storage container 25, as shown in Figure 10, is designed to accommodate.9 from above onto this edge section 25a and attach accordingly.
[0100] In the exemplary embodiments, it is shown that the retaining groove 23 is integrated into a container wall and thus formed integrally with it. In another exemplary embodiment, it is also possible that a retaining groove is formed in an adapter separate from the container wall. Such an adapter can be detachably attached to a separate container wall. 202402346
