[0003] Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. Hei 9-100941

[0004] In the invention described in Patent Document 1, a fully closed state and a fully open state can be achieved by rotating the handle 16 by a constant angle (90°). In Patent Document 1, FIG. 1 shows the fully closed state and FIG. 2 shows the fully open state, and the difference between the upper and lower positions of the plug body 11 in these figures is the stroke. Since this stroke is determined by the position of the upper recess 23, the stroke cannot be adjusted in the flow control device described in Patent Document 1.

[0005] The present invention has been made in view of this point, and an object of the present invention is to provide an opening and closing valve capable of adjusting a stroke.

[0006] The present invention (1) is an on / off valve comprising: a valve body having an inlet passage, an outlet passage, and a valve chamber connecting the inlet passage and the outlet passage; a stem having a valve element at its lower end that opens and closes a flow path by contacting and separating from a valve seat formed on the valve body and disposed in the valve chamber; a bonnet disposed so as to be directly or indirectly connected to the valve body so as to be movable in the axial direction of the stem, having a through hole through which the stem passes, and having an annular inward flange formed above the through hole; a handle fixed to the upper end of the stem and capable of rotating the stem; and a biasing member disposed between the annular inward flange and an outward flange formed or disposed in the middle part of the stem, wherein the upper end of the bonnet has a lower recess corresponding to when the valve is fully closed and an upper recess corresponding to when the valve is fully open, and a rolling element that fits into the lower recess and the upper recess is disposed on the upper part of the stem by the rotation of the handle.

[0007] The on / off valve of the present invention (1) is disposed to be directly or indirectly connected to the valve body so as to be movable in the axial direction of the stem, and has a bonnet having a through hole through which the stem passes, with an annular inward flange formed above the through hole, and has a biasing member disposed between the annular inward flange and an outward flange formed or disposed in the middle part of the stem, so that the stroke can be adjusted by moving the bonnet up and down. Even if the valve opening is increased by raising the bonnet upward, the valve body can be pushed down by the biasing member so that it does not affect the fully closed state.

[0008] The present invention (2) is an on / off valve according to the present invention (1), wherein the bonnet comprises a second bonnet fixed to the valve body and a first bonnet that is screwed onto the second bonnet and is movable in the axial direction of the stem by rotation, and a lock nut for fixing the position of the first bonnet is further screwed onto the first bonnet.

[0009] In the present invention (2), the bonnet structure is divided into two parts, a first bonnet and a second bonnet, and the first bonnet and the second bonnet are screwed together, so the stroke can be adjusted by rotating the first bonnet. In addition, the position of the first bonnet can be fixed with a lock nut, so there is no variation in the stroke.

[0010] The present invention (3) is an on / off valve according to the present invention (1) or (2), having an annular flange sandwiched between the valve body and the second bonnet, and the annular flange and the stem connected by a bellows.

[0011] In the present invention (3), an annular flange is sandwiched between the valve body and the second bonnet, and the annular flange and the stem are connected by a bellows, so that fluid leakage along the outer surface of the stem can be prevented.

[0012] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an on / off valve whose stroke can be adjusted.

[0013] This is a partial cross-sectional view of the fully closed on / off valve of the present invention. It shows a longitudinal section of the first bonnet (A), the top surface of the first bonnet (B), and a cross-sectional unfolded view of the upper part of the first bonnet (C). This is a partial cross-sectional view of the fully open on / off valve of the present invention. This is a partial cross-sectional view of the on / off valve when the stroke is increased from the fully open state shown in Figure 3.

[0014] Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. The following embodiments are essentially preferred examples and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention, its applications, or its uses. Furthermore, terms such as "top" and "bottom" in this specification indicate positional relationships in the drawings, and the embodiments are not limited thereto.

[0015] Figure 1 is a partial cross-sectional view of the closed-state on / off valve of the present invention, and the on / off valve 1 comprises a valve body 10, a second bonnet 20, a first bonnet 30, a stem 40, a lock nut 50, a housing 60, and a handle 61. The valve body 10 has an inlet passage 11, an outlet passage 12, and a valve chamber 13 connecting these passages. The inlet passage 11 opens at the bottom of the valve chamber 13 and a valve seat 14 is formed therein. The outlet passage 12 opens at the side of the valve chamber 13. The valve body 10 has a projection 15 that protrudes upward, and a valve chamber opens at the upper end of the projection 15, and a male screw 16 is engraved on the outside of the projection 15. The second bonnet 20 has a female screw 21 that screws into the male screw 16 and is fixed to the valve body 10. A female screw 22 is engraved on the upper part of the second bonnet 20 and screws into the male screw 31 engraved on the first bonnet. By adjusting this screw connection, the first bonnet can be positioned vertically relative to the second bonnet, and the adjusted position can be fixed using a lock nut 50 that is screwed onto the male screw 31. The stem 40 is arranged to pass through the protrusion 15, the second bonnet 20, and the first bonnet 30.

[0016] A valve body 41 is attached to the lower end of the stem 40, and the valve body 41 and the valve seat 14 are in contact and separated to control the fluid flow. An annular groove 44 is formed in the middle of the stem 40, and an outward flange (spring receiver) 46 is positioned by a connecting pin 45. A biasing member (spring) 34 is disposed between the outward flange 46 and an annular inward flange 33 formed above the through hole 37 of the first bonnet 30, and the stem 40 is pressed in the fully closed direction by the biasing member 34.

[0017] The annular flange 43 is positioned on the upper part of the projection 15 and is pressed and fixed to the valve body 10 via the annular flange retainer 49 by screwing the valve body 10 and the second bonnet 20 together. A bellows 42 is attached between the lower end of the annular flange 43 and the lower end of the stem 40 to prevent fluid leakage from around the stem 40 to the outside. A sealing member 17 is provided between the annular flange 43 and the valve body 10 to seal the connection.

[0018] A rolling element 48, fixed to the stem 40 by a horizontal pin 47, is attached to the stem 40, and the rolling element is rotatable around the horizontal pin 47 as an axis. The handle 61 is fixed to the stem 40 by a horizontal pin or the like. The stem 40, along with the rolling element 48, is rotatable by the handle 61.

[0019] Figure 2(A) shows a longitudinal section of the first bonnet 30, Figure 2(B) shows a top view of the first bonnet 30, and Figure 2(C) shows a cross-sectional view of the upper part of the first bonnet 30. A lower recess 35 and an upper recess 36 are formed on the upper surface of the first bonnet 30. Rolling elements 47 can be fitted into the lower recess 35 and the upper recess 36, and the recess into which the rolling element 47 is fitted can be switched by rotating the stem 40. In Figure 2(C), when the rolling element 48 is fitted into the lower recess 35, the stem 40 is in its lowest position, the valve body 41 is pressed against the valve seat 14 by the biasing member 34, and the valve is in a closed state. When the rolling element 48 is fitted into the upper recess 36, the movement of the valve body 41 in the closing direction by the biasing member 34 is restricted by the engagement of the rolling element 48 in the upper recess 36, and the valve is in a fully open state. The rotation angle of the handle 61 in the fully closed and fully open states is 90°, but this is not mandatory and can be freely set according to the shape of the unfolded diagram in Figure 2(C).

[0020] Figure 3 shows the on / off valve 1 in the fully open state. The position of the first bonnet 30 is the same in the on / off valve 1 in the fully closed state in Figure 1 and in the on / off valve 1 in Figure 3. Here, stroke refers to the distance from the position of the valve body 41 in the fully closed state to the position of the valve body 41 in the fully open state. Since the distance from the valve body 41 to the rolling element 48 is constant, the stroke can be adjusted by changing the distance from the valve seat to the upper recess 36 into which the rolling element 48 fits in the fully open state. In the on / off valve 1, the stroke can be adjusted by adjusting the positional relationship between the first bonnet 30 and the second bonnet 20.

[0021] Figure 4 shows the fully open state of the opening / closing valve 1 with the first bonnet 30 raised upward to increase its stroke. To change from Figure 3 to Figure 4, simply loosen the lock nut 50 in Figure 3, loosen the male thread 31 of the first bonnet 30 by the desired stroke increase, and then tighten the lock nut 50 to fix the first bonnet 30 to the second bonnet 20.

[0022] As described above, the present invention can provide an on / off valve with adjustable stroke.
