Abstract

The present invention provides an absorbent article which comprises a non-removable first absorbent body and a removable second absorbent body and which makes it possible to suppress the effects of odors while maintaining the convenience of replacing the absorbent article. An underpants-type absorbent article (1) comprises an absorbent body (3) and has a front waist region (11), a rear waist region (15), and a crotch region (13). The absorbent body (3) is provided with a first absorbent body (5) that is disposed in the crotch region (13) and that is non-removably joined to the absorbent article (1), and a second absorbent body (7) that is disposed on the skin side of the first absorbent body (5) and that is removably joined to the absorbent article (1). At least the first absorbent body (5) has a fragrance region (FA) in which a fragrance (90) is provided.

[0001] This disclosure relates to absorbent articles in the form of panties.

[0002] Absorbent articles are known that include a non-removable first absorbent body and a removable second absorbent body. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses an absorbent article comprising an absorbent body and an additional absorbent assembly, wherein the absorbent body is divided into a front waist region, a groin region and a rear waist region according to its position on the human body when worn, the absorbent body includes a liquid-permeable surface layer, a liquid-impermeable bottom layer and an absorbent core between the liquid-permeable surface layer and the liquid-impermeable bottom layer, the additional absorbent assembly is placed on the liquid-permeable surface layer of the absorbent body, the additional absorbent assembly includes a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable bottom sheet and an absorbent body between the liquid-permeable top sheet and the liquid-impermeable bottom sheet, and the two longitudinal ends of the liquid-impermeable bottom sheet of the additional absorbent assembly are joined to the liquid-permeable surface layers of the front main region and the rear waist region of the absorbent body, respectively.

1. An absorbent article in the form of pants, comprising an absorbent body having longitudinal, widthwise, and thicknesswise directions perpendicular to each other, wherein the absorbent article, in its unfolded state and in the longitudinal direction, comprises a front waist region having a front edge, a rear waist region having a rear edge, and a crotch region positioned between the front and rear waist regions, wherein the absorbent article, in its unfolded state, has a widthwise centerline extending parallel to the widthwise direction at the center of the longitudinal direction, and the crotch region is divided by the widthwise centerline into a front crotch region near the front edge and a rear crotch region near the rear edge, wherein the absorbent body comprises a first absorbent body positioned in the crotch region and irremovably bonded to the absorbent article, and a second absorbent body positioned on the skin side of the first absorbent body and removably bonded to the absorbent article, wherein at least the first absorbent body has a fragrance-containing region where a fragrance is present.

2. The absorbent article according to claim 1, wherein the first absorbent body includes a first film member disposed on the non-skin side, the second absorbent body includes a non-air permeable second film member disposed on the non-skin side, and the fragrance-containing region is located in the first absorbent body at a position where the first film member and the second film member overlap in the thickness direction.

3. The absorbent article according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the first absorbent body includes a moisture-permeable first film member disposed on the non-skin side.

The absorbent article according to any one of claims 1 to 3, comprising a body-to-body joint portion in which the second absorbent body is detachably joined to the first absorbent body, and a body-to-body non-joint portion in which the second absorbent body is not joined to the first absorbent body, wherein the fragrance is present in the body-to-body joint portion.

5. The absorbent article according to any one of claims 1 to 4, further comprising an individual packaging bag for containing the absorbent article, wherein the individual packaging bag is made of a non-breathable film material.

The absorbent article according to any one of claims 1 to 5, further comprising an individual packaging bag for containing the absorbent article, wherein the individual packaging bag further includes a pair of lateral joints for sealing the individual packaging bag, and a vertical joint extending from one of the pair of lateral joints to the other.

The absorbent article according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the first absorbent body, in the deployed state, comprises: a first absorbent; and a first absorbent body elastic member, which is positioned on the non-skin side of the first absorbent body, extending from the front crotch region to the rear crotch region in a direction along the longitudinal direction, and the fragrance-containing region is positioned to overlap with the first absorbent body elastic member in the thickness direction.

8. The absorbent article according to claim 7, further comprising: a pair of inter-body joining portions arranged side by side with a gap in the width direction, which removably join the second absorbent body to the first absorbent body; and an inter-body non-joint portion arranged between the pair of inter-body joining portions in the width direction, which does not join the second absorbent body to the first absorbent body, wherein in the deployed state, the elastic member of the first absorbent body overlaps with the inter-body non-joint portion in the thickness direction.

The absorbent article according to any one of claims 1 to 8, further comprising, alternately in the width direction, inter-body joining portions for removably joining the second absorbent body to the first absorbent body, and non-inter-body joining portions for which the second absorbent body is not joined to the first absorbent body, wherein the inter-body joining portions include an adhesive for inter-body joining portions for removably joining the second absorbent body to the first absorbent body, and the total amount of the fragrance is less than the total amount of the adhesive for inter-body joining portions.
