[0001] The present application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 63 / 765,080, filed February 28, 2025, the disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference herein in its entirety.BACKGROUND
[0002] Small personal size cases, bags, pouches or other like devices are useful for holding a user’s keys, a phone, a wallet or other personal items. In many instances, these devices are made with a soft-sided construction of leather, fabric or polymeric sheet construction, with one or more zippers controlling access to an interior.
[0003] Various concerns arise in this area such as ease-of-use and the convenience in the way in which the devices can be carried.
[0004] Improvements are desired.SUMMARY
[0005] In one embodiment, a carry case system including a case including a case body with a reclosable opening, such as including a zipper, for accessing an interior of the case. A carry strap slides through a panel on the case for mounting the case to the carry strap. The carry strap includes two ends, each of which includes a carry strap clip. The carry strap can be mounted to another device, such as a water bottle or other object, with the carry strap clips both attached to the device. A case strap of the case mounts through a loop formed on the carry strap to hold the case at a spaced apart distance from an end of the carry strap.
[0006] In one example, the spaced apart distance of the case from an end of the carry strap is adjacent to a front torso of the user wearing the carry strap over a shoulder.
[0007] In another embodiment, a carry case system includes a case including a case body with a reclosable opening, such as including a zipper, for accessing an interior of the case. A carry strap includes two ends, each of which includes a carry strap clip. Thecarry strap can be mounted to the case, with the carry strap clips both attached to the case, such as at two loops on the case body.
[0008] In a further embodiment, a case is provided with a case body with a reclosable opening, such as including a zipper for accessing an interior of the case. The case body includes a soft-sided construction. The case includes a carry strap connected by two carry strap clips.

[0025] Reference will now be made in detail to exemplary aspects of the present disclosure that are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Wherever possible, the same reference numbers will be used throughout the drawings to refer to the same or like parts.
[0026] Referring now to FIGS. 1 and 2, a first embodiment of a carry case system 10 is shown including a case 20 with at least one reclosable opening 40, such as including a zipper 42, for accessing an interior of the case. The case 20 is affixed to a carry strap 100, to be worn by a user 12. The carry strap 100 includes two ends 104, 106, which can be affixed to another device 14, such as a water bottle, canteen, another case, or other object, allowing both the case 20 and the example water bottle 14 to be caried by the user 12 by the same carry strap 100.
[0027] The water bottle or other device 14 has two clip mating devices 15, such as loops, rings, bars, or pins, to mate with a first openable carry strap clip 110 and a second openable carry strap clip 112 on opposite ends of the carry strap 100.
[0028] As shown, the case 20 is affixed to the carry strap 100 to hold the case 20 at a spaced apart distance from an end of the carry strap 100. In one example, the spaced apart distance is at a convenient location adjacent to a front torso 16 of the user 12 wearing the carry strap 100 over a shoulder. Other locations are possible.
[0029] Referring now to FIG. 3, in another embodiment, a carry case system 200 includes case 20 affixed to the carry strap 100, in place of the water bottle 14 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. In this example, the case 20 is located adjacent to a user's hip area 18 while wearing the carry strap 100 over a shoulder.
[0030] In one example, the carry strap 100 is adjustable in length to allow for variations according to a user's desires for wearing the carry strap 100 at a certain length, for over the shoulder as show in the FIGS., or in a cross-body orientation.
[0031] The carry case system 10 includes features which allow quick adjustability and changeable arrangements with respect to case 20, water bottle 14, and other devices to be used with the carry strap 100. The arrangements shown in FIGS. 1-3 with the case 20 either mounted to an intermediate portion of the carry strap 100 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, or at the end of the carry strap 100 as shown in FIG. 3, are just two examples.
[0032] Referring now also to FIGS. 5-13, the case 20 has a case body 24. The case body 24 includes a rear panel 30. The case body 24 further includes the reclosable opening 40 to access an interior 26 of the case body. One example of a reclosable openingincludes the zipper 42. The case body 24 includes a soft-sided construction of leather, fabric or polymeric sheet construction.
[0033] The case 20 includes a sleeve 50 on the rear panel 30 of the case body 24. The sleeve 50 has a first end 52 and a second end 54. The sleeve 50 and the rear panel 30 define a passage 56 extending along a first axis 28 extending from a top 32 of the case 20 toward a bottom 34 of the case 20.
[0034] Two loops 60, 62 extend from the case body 24 adjacent the top 32. The loops 60, 62 are in the form of D shaped loops in the example shown.
[0035] A case strap 70 has a first end 72 and a second end 74. Each of the first end 72 and the second end 74 includes an openable case clip 76, 78, respectively. Each openable case clip 76, 78 is selectively attached to one of the two loops 60, 62, respectively. In the example, each case clip 76, 78 is a spring loaded loop clip that is manually opened, and automatically closed when released. Other openable clip designs can be used that automatically close once the clip is mounted to a mating structure or removed from a mating structure.
[0036] Referring also to FIGS. 4A and 4B, a carry strap 100 includes a strap body 102 having a first end 104 and a second end 106. The first carry strap clip 110 is at the first end 104 of the strap body 102. The second carry strap clip 112 is at the second end 106 of the strap body 102. In the example, each strap clip 110, 112 is a spring loaded loop clip that is manually opened, and automatically closed when released. Other openable clip designs can be used that automatically close once the clip is mounted to a mating structure or removed from a mating structure.
[0037] The strap body 102 has a loop portion 120 between the first end 104 of the strap body 102 and the second end 106 of the strap body 102. The loop portion 120 is positioned between a slider clip 130 and a strap loop ring 140. The loop portion 120 is adjustable in length for adjusting the total length of the carry strap 100.
[0038] The strap body 102 is positioned through the passage 56 of the case 20. The case strap 70 is positioned in the loop portion 120 adjacent the strap loop ring 140.
[0039] The strap body 102 is made up of a first strap portion 150 and a second strap portion 160. The first strap portion 150 extends from the first end 104 to the strap loop ring 140. In the example, the first strap portion 150 of the strap body 102 is a fixed length extending from the first end 104 to a second end 152 connected to the strap loop ring 140. In the example, the second strap portion 160 has a variable length. The second strap portion 160 extends from the second end 106 through the slider clip 130, and through thestrap loop ring 140, and then back to slider clip 130 terminating at an end 162 connected to a middle bar 132 of the slider clip 130. The area between the slider clip 130 and the strap loop ring 140 of the second strap portion 160 forms the loop portion 120. An opening 170 of loop portion 120 receives the case strap 70 to hold the case 20 at a defined distance above the first end 104 of the strap body 102.
[0040] Case body 24 includes various sides and / or panels in addition to rear panel 50. Front panel 80 is opposite the rear panel 30. Two side portions 82, 84, a top portion 86, and a bottom portion 88, the front panel 80, and the rear panel 30 form enclosed interior 26 for holding keys, a wallet, identification items, medicines, and / or other items. The interior 26 is accessible through the opening 40 controlled by the zipper 42.
[0041] In the example, the case body 24 has a length L extending from the top portion 86 to the bottom portion 88. The case body 24 has a width W extending between the two side portions 82, 84, which is shorter than the length L. The case body 24 has a depth D extending between the front panel 80 and the rear panel 30, which is shorter than the width W.
[0042] One method of use of the carry case system 10 includes feeding the first end 104 of the carry strap 100 through the passage 56 of the case 20. Both ends 104, 106 are attached to the mating devices 15 of the water bottle 14. A further step is to disconnect one of the ends 72, 74 of the case strap 70 from the case body 24, by releasing of the openable case clips 76, 78. A next step is to feed the disconnected end of the case strap 70 through the loop portion 120, and then reattaching the disconnected end to the case body 24 again. When the carry strap 100 is slung over a shoulder of the user, the case 20 is suspended over the first end 104 of the carry strap 100 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
[0043] Another method of use of the carry case system 10 includes starting with the arrangement of FIGS. 1 and 2, and then detaching the two ends 104, 106 of the carry strap 100 from the device 14. A further step is to detach one end 72, 74 of the case strap 70 from the case body 24. Next, the one detached end of the case strap 70 is removed from the loop portion 120 formed by the carry strap 100. A further next step is to then remove the carry strap 100 from the passage 56 of the case body 24. Then a further next step includes attaching the two ends 104, 106 of the carry strap 100 to the two loops 60, 62 of the case body 24. The case strap 70 can be removed entirely from the case body 24. The end result is the carry case system 200, as shown in FIG. 3. Optionally, the case strap 70 can remain attached to the case body 24 when the case body 24 is being carried by the carry strap 100 as in FIG. 3.
[0044] Having described the preferred aspects and implementations of the present disclosure, modifications and equivalents of the disclosed concepts may readily occur to one skilled in the art. However, it is intended that such modifications and equivalents be included within the scope of the claims which are appended hereto.
Claims
What is claimed is:
1. A carry case system comprising:a case including:a case body including a rear panel, the case body including a reclosable opening to access an interior of the case body;a sleeve on the rear panel of the case body, the sleeve having a first end and a second end;the sleeve and the rear panel defining a passage extending along a first axis; two loops extending from the case body;a case strap having a first end and a second end, each of the first end and the second end including an openable case clip, each openable case clip attached to one of the two loops;a carry strap including:a strap body having a first end and a second end;a first carry strap clip at the first end of the strap body;a second carry strap clip at the second end of the strap body;the strap body having a loop portion between the first end of the strap body and the second end of the strap body;the loop portion positioned between a slider clip and a strap loop ring; the strap body positioned in the passage of the case;the case strap positioned in the loop portion adjacent to the strap loop ring.
2. The carry case system of claim 1, further comprising a device connected at two locations to the first and second carry strap clips.
3. The carry case system of claim 2, wherein the device includes a water bottle.
4. The carry case system of claims 1-3, wherein the case body includes a front panel opposite the rear panel, two side portions, a top portion, and a bottom portion, wherein the front panel, the rear panel, the two side portions, the top portion, and the bottom portion form the interior, wherein the interior is accessible through the opening controlled by a zipper, wherein the two loops are located adjacent to the top portion, wherein the case body has alength L extending from the top portion to the bottom portion, wherein the case body has a width W extending between the two side portions, which is shorter than the length L, wherein the case body has a depth D extending between the front panel and the rear panel 30, which is shorter than the width W.
5. A method of assembly of a carry case system comprising:providing a case including a case body including a reclosable opening to access an interior of the case body, and a case strap selectively attachable to the case body at two locations;feeding one end of a carry strap through a sleeve on the case body; attaching both ends of the carry strap to a device;feeding one end of the case strap through a loop portion formed by the carry strap;attaching the one end of the case strap to the case body.
6. The method of claim 5, wherein the device includes a water bottle.
7. A carry case comprising:a case body including a rear panel, the case body including a reclosable opening to access an interior of the case body;a sleeve on the rear panel of the case body, the sleeve having a first end and a second end;the sleeve and the rear panel defining a passage extending along a first axis extending between the first end of the sleeve and the second end of the sleeve;two loops extending from the case body;a case strap having a first end and a second end, each of the first end and the second end including an openable case clip, each openable case clip attached to one of the two loops.
8. The carry case system of claim 7, wherein the case body includes a front panel opposite the rear panel, two side portions, a top portion, and a bottom portion, wherein the front panel, the rear panel, the two side portions, the top portion, and the bottom portion form the interior, wherein the interior is accessible through the opening controlled by a zipper, wherein the two loops are located adjacent to the top portion, wherein the case body has alength L extending from the top portion to the bottom portion, wherein the case body has a width W extending between the two side portions, which is shorter than the length L, wherein the case body has a depth D extending between the front panel and the rear panel 30, which is shorter than the width W.
9. The carry case system of claim 7, wherein the two loops are both located adjacent to one of the first end of the sleeve or the second end of the sleeve10. A carry case system comprising:a case including:a case body including a top, an opposite bottom, and a rear panel, the case body including a reclosable opening adjacent to the top to access an interior of the case body, the reclosable opening including a zipper;a sleeve on the rear panel of the case body, the sleeve having a first end and a second end;the sleeve and the rear panel defining a passage extending along a first axis extending in a direction from the top to the bottom of the case body;two loops extending from the case body adjacent to the top of the case body; a case strap having a first end and a second end, each of the first end and the second end including an openable case clip, each openable case clip attached to one of the two loops;a carry strap including:a strap body having a first end and a second end;a first carry strap clip at the first end of the strap body;a second carry strap clip at the second end of the strap body;the strap body having a loop portion between the first end of the strap body and the second end of the strap body;the strap body positioned in the passage of the case;the case strap positioned in the loop portion.
11. The carry case system of claim 10, further comprising a device connected at two locations to the first and second carry strap clips.
12. The carry case system of claim 11, wherein the device includes a water bottle.
13. The carry case system of claims 10-12, wherein the case body includes a front panel opposite the rear panel, two side portions, a top portion, and a bottom portion, wherein the front panel, the rear panel, the two side portions, the top portion, and the bottom portion form the interior, wherein the interior is accessible through the opening controlled by a zipper, wherein the two loops are located adjacent to the top portion, wherein the case body has a length L extending from the top portion to the bottom portion, wherein the case body has a width W extending between the two side portions, which is shorter than the length L, wherein the case body has a depth D extending between the front panel and the rear panel 30, which is shorter than the width W.
14. A method of assembly of a carry case system comprising:providing a case including a case body including a reclosable opening to access an interior of the case body, and a case strap selectively attachable to the case body at two locations;detaching two ends of a carry strap from a device;removing one end of the carry strap from a sleeve on the case body; detaching one end of the case strap from the case body, and removing the one end of the case strap from a loop portion formed by the carry strap;attaching the two ends of the carry strap to the same two locations of the case body.
15. The method of claim 14, wherein the device includes a water bottle.
16. A carry case system comprising:a case including:a case body including a top, an opposite bottom, and a rear panel, the case body including a reclosable opening adjacent to the top to access an interior of the case body, the reclosable opening including a zipper;a sleeve on the rear panel of the case body, the sleeve having a first end and a second end;the sleeve and the rear panel defining a passage extending along a first axis extending in a direction from the top to the bottom of the case body;two loops extending from the case body adjacent to the top of the case body; a case strap having a first end and a second end, each of the first end and the second end including an openable case clip, each openable case clip attached to one of the two loops;a carry strap including:a strap body having a first end and a second end;a first carry strap clip at the first end of the strap body;a second carry strap clip at the second end of the strap body;the strap body having a loop portion between the first end of the strap body and the second end of the strap body;wherein the case is mountable to the carry strap in at least two positions: wherein in a first position, the strap body is positioned in the passage of the case, the case strap is positioned in the loop portion, and the bottom of the case body is spaced apart from and above the first end of the carry strap; and wherein in a second position, the first carry strap clip and the second carry strap clip are each attached to a respective one of the two loops of the case.
