Description

COMPOSITION FOR CARING FOR AND / OR MAKING UP KERAIN MATERIALSTECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition. In particular, the present invention relates to a composition for caring for and / or making up keratin materials. In addition, the present invention also relates to a non-therapeutic method for caring for and / or making up keratin materials.BACKGROUND ART

[0002] The development of formulations dedicated to caring for and / or making up the skin and / or lips, is permanent.

[0003] In today's cosmetics market, consumer demands for product experiences are continuously rising. People are not only concerned with the efficacy of cosmetics but also place great emphasis on the sensory experience during application.

[0004] In recent years, with the advancement of technology and the diversification of consumer needs, the cosmetics industry has begun to pursue more innovative textures and sensory experiences. Among them, the concept of melting sensation has gradually gained attention as a novel product idea. Cosmetics with this unique texture can melt instantly upon contact with the skin, blending seamlessly with it and providing a lightweight, refreshing, and non-greasy experience.

[0005] However, developing a cosmetic formulation with a melting sensation is not an easy task.

[0006] In addition, microbial protection of cosmetic products delivering a melting sensation is rather challenging since some common preservatives do not work efficiently, for example for aspergillus niger.

[0007] There is thus still a need to formulate a composition, which can deliver a melting sensation and good anti-microbial ability at least for aspergillus niger.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] An object of the present invention is to provide a composition, which can deliver a melting sensation and good anti-microbial ability at least for aspergillus niger.

[0009] Accordingly, in a first aspect, the present invention relates to a composition, preferably for caring for and / or making up keratin materials, comprising:

[0010] (i) at least 2 wt. %of at least one C14-C30 fatty alcohol, relative to the total weight of the composition;

[0011] (ii) at least one anionic surfactant selected from C8-C22 fatty acid amide sulfonates, C8-C22 alkyl sulfates, C8-C22 alkyl phosphates, and combinations thereof;

[0012] (iii) at least one C5-C10 glycol; and

[0013] (iv) an organic acid and / or derivatives thereof selected from benzoic acids optionally substituted at the para, meta, and / or ortho positions with a group selected from C1-C6 alkoxy and C1-C6 alkyl groups, dehydroacetic acid, salts thereof, solvates thereof, and combinations thereof.

[0014] The inventors found that the composition of the present invention can deliver a melting sensation and good anti-microbial ability for aspergillus niger.

[0015] Preferably, the composition of the present invention also has good anti-microbial ability for candida albicans.

[0016] In a second aspect, the present invention relates to a non-therapeutic method for caring for and / or making up keratin materials, comprising applying the composition of the present invention to the keratin materials.

[0017] Other subjects and characteristics, aspects and advantages of the present invention will be set forth in the description that follows, and in part, will be obvious from the description, or may be learned by practice of the present invention.DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0152] 0: no melting sensation;

[0153] 1: a little melting sensation;

[0154] 2: moderate melting sensation;

[0155] 3: obvious melting sensation.

[0156] The scores given by the 8 trained skin care experts were averaged for each testing composition.

[0163] After 7 days, if the ratio of the number of Aspergillus niger at T0 / that at T7 days is not lower than 1000, it shows good anti-microbial ability; if the ratio is under 1000, it shows poor anti-microbial ability.

[0164] The results on anti-microbial ability on Aspergillus niger were summarized in Table 4.

[0165] Table 4

[0166] In addition, the testing samples for compositions of invention examples 1-3 were filled intojars and inoculum Candida albicans was added into the testing samples (T0) at 1.8-2.1 E6 UFC / g. The number of Candida albicans was checked at T0 and 7 days after T0 (T7 days) according to ISO11930.

[0167] After 7 days, if the ratio of the number of Candida albicans at T0 / that at T7 days is not lower than 1000, it shows good anti-microbial ability; if the ratio is under 1000, it shows poor anti-microbial ability.
