[0002] Description
[0003] Device for bandaging a bundle of goods
[0004] The invention relates to a device for bandaging a bundle of goods, comprising a device for feeding the bundled goods and a winding head for wrapping the bundled goods with a band.
[0005] Such a device is known, for example, from DE 10 2022 105 198 Al. In this device, a control unit has a table with data for individual sections of the bundled goods. The bundled goods are thereby wrapped section by section with the tape.
[0006] However, bundled goods often also have retaining clips for attachment to a vehicle body or labels or markings that must be subsequently attached to the bundled goods in a further device.
[0007] The invention is based on the problem of further developing a device of the type mentioned above in such a way that it can supplement the bundled goods with versatile markings or clips.
[0008] This problem is solved according to the invention by arranging an assembly device for mounting a further component on the bundled material next to the winding head.
[0009] This design allows the bundled goods to be fitted with the intended components, such as clips, markings, or the like, in the same device after being wrapped with the band. Thanks to the invention, no further steps are required to attach the components outside the device.
[0010] One could consider arranging the assembly device directly next to the winding head. According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, a uniform feed of the bundled material to the assembly device can also be ensured for short bundles if a feed module for advancing the wrapped bundled material is arranged between the winding head and the assembly device. This design allows for a reliable wrapping of the bundled material without interference from the assembly device.
[0011] According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the removal of the bundled material containing the other components is particularly easy if a feed unit is arranged behind the assembly device in the direction of movement of the bundled material.
[0012] Devices for bandaging bundled goods often have, in addition to the feed module on the winding head, a further feed unit that advances the bundled goods with all branched sections and plugs. According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the structural complexity of such a device can be kept particularly low if the mounting device is arranged between the feed module located close to the winding head and the feed unit.
[0013] According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, further simplification of the constructive design of the device is achieved if a working axis of the assembly device for mounting a further component is arranged coaxially to a working axis of the winding head.
[0014] Cable harnesses often contain various components such as retaining elements, winding clips, spot tapes, markings, labels, or tags. According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, such components can be easily assembled in the device in a combined process of banding and attaching the retaining elements, provided the assembly device has a storage magazine for the additional components.
[0015] According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the device can be prepared for different bundled materials if at least one module slot for receiving various prefabricated mounting devices is arranged next to the winding head. This design makes the device modular and allows it to be supplemented by one or more corresponding mounting devices. This makes the device particularly versatile.
[0016] The invention allows for numerous embodiments. To further illustrate its basic principle, two of these are shown in the drawing and described below. This shows in
[0017] Fig. 1 shows a device for bandaging a schematically represented bundle of goods,
[0018] Fig. 2 shows a winding head of the device from Figure 1,
[0019] Fig. 3 shows an enlarged view of a winding table arranged in the winding head from Figure 2, Fig. 4 shows an assembly device for mounting a retaining clip of the device from Figure 1,
[0020] Fig. 5 shows a mounting device for mounting a marking of the device from Figure 1.
[0021] Figure 1 shows a device 1 for bandaging a bundled item 2. The bundled item 2 to be bandaged is shown as an example, with several sections 3, at the ends of which connectors 4 are arranged. Such bundled items are, in particular, wiring harnesses known from automotive applications. Wiring harnesses are usually referred to as cable harnesses when containing electrical wires, but can also include fluid lines, such as windshield washer fluid lines. Wiring harnesses with multiple lines often have numerous branches and connectors 4 and are wrapped with self-adhesive tape by such devices 1. The bundled item 2 shown also has a retaining clip 5 for fastening, for example, to a vehicle body, and a marking 6, for example, a label, attached to one of the sections 3.
[0022] The device 1 has a linear hood 9, a winding head hood 8, and a process hood 9. A winding head 10, shown in Figure 2, is arranged below the winding head hood 8 for wrapping the bundled material 2 with a band 11, shown in Figure 3. The bundled material 2 is fed into the device 1 through a central opening 12 in the process hood 9. A working axis of the device 1, indicating the feeding direction, is shown with a dashed line. The linear hood 9 is shown in the open position and covers a feed unit 13 with several grippers 14 for moving the bundled material 2, an assembly device 15 for mounting an additional component, such as the marker 6 or the retaining clip 5, and a feed module 16 with two conveyor belts 17. Furthermore, the device 1 has an input unit 18 with a graphical user interface for entering and displaying data or a drawing of the bundled material 2 to be processed. The mounting device 15 is attached between the feed unit 13 and the feed module 16 in a module slot 19 of the device 1. The device also has further module slots 20 for additional mounting devices not shown.
[0023] The feed module 16 with the two conveyor belts 17 ensures a precise speed of the bundled material 2 during banding in the winding head 10, while the feed unit 13 with several grippers 14 for the various branches ensures the further transport of the processed bundled material 2.
[0024] Figure 2 shows a section of the winding head 10 located below the winding head hood 8 from Figure 1. The winding head 10 has a winding table 21 for supporting the bundled material 2 and a running ring 22. The running ring 22 is driven by an electrically driven belt drive. Figure 2 also shows the process hood 9 with the opening 12 for introducing the bundled material 2.
[0025] Figure 3 shows the winding head 10 from Figure 2 in an enlarged view from the opposite side compared to Figure 2. The winding head 10 has a belt roller 23 with the belt 11, which is used to wrap the bundled material 2. The belt 11 is guided around the bundled material 2, which lies on the winding table 21, by means of a conveyor drive that drives the running ring 22. The construction and operation of the winding head 10 are described in detail in DE 10 2022 105 198 A1, and reference is made to this document for further disclosure.
[0026] Figure 4 shows a section of a first embodiment of the assembly device 15. The assembly device 15 has a gripper 24 for holding the retaining clip 5 shown in Figure 1 and a fastening unit 25 for attaching the retaining clip 5 to the bundled goods 2 from Figure 1. A storage magazine 26 of the assembly device 15 for a plurality of retaining clips 5 is shown schematically. Furthermore, the assembly device 15 has a module connection 27 for attachment in one of the module slots 19, 20 of the device 1 from Figure 1. In Figure 4, the working axis from Figure 1 is shown with a dashed line.
[0027] Figure 5 shows another embodiment of an assembly device 115. The assembly device 115 has a storage magazine 126 designed as a marking roller for the markings 6 shown in Figure 1 and a module connection 127 for mounting in one of the module slots 19, 20 of the device 1 from Figure 1. The assembly device 115 has a fastening unit 125 for guiding the markings around the bundled material 2, which extends perpendicular to the plane of the drawing on the working axis from Figure 1. When the fastening unit 125 moves, the marking 6 shown in Figure 1 is pulled off the marking roller and adhered around the bundled material 2. In the simplest case, the marking 6 can be a piece of adhesive tape.
