Description
Method for setting up store advertisements, device, and recording media
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a technology for setting up advertisements in a store.
[0002] With the advancement of communication technology and changes in the social environment, e-commerce services are providing a wide range of goods and services to many users through e-commerce platforms (e.g., online platforms). Furthermore, e-commerce services also provide mediation services for transactions between multiple users. For instance, sellers can register their stores on online platforms to sell goods or services to consumers. In particular, advertising within online platforms has established itself as a means for sellers to promote their products and services. By registering advertisements for their stores, sellers can increase exposure to consumers and boost sales.
[0003] At least one embodiment of the present disclosure may provide a User Interface (UI) that allows a seller to conveniently register an advertisement for a store.
[0004] At least one embodiment of the present disclosure allows a seller to determine default values for various advertising setting values for setting up advertisements in a store.
[0005] At least one embodiment of the present disclosure may provide a preview of the actual screen on which an advertisement is displayed based on an advertisement setting value determined by a seller.
[0006] At least one embodiment of the present disclosure may provide an environment in which a seller can efficiently manage advertisements by providing a page containing statistical data regarding advertisements in a store.
[0007] The technical problems of the present disclosure are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned technical problems will be clearly understood by a person skilled in the art of the present disclosure from the description below.
[0008] A method according to one aspect of the present disclosure may be performed in a device comprising one or more processors and one or more memories storing instructions to be executed by said one or more processors. A method according to one aspect of the present disclosure comprises: a step in which said one or more processors receive a request from a user requesting a first page used to set an advertisement for a store; a step in which a default value is determined for each of said one or more advertisement settings related to the execution of said advertisement; a step in which, based on said default value, a first page information is generated for displaying said first page on said user's terminal; and a step in which said first page information is transmitted to said user's terminal, wherein the first page may include a UI for displaying said one or more advertisement settings, each having a setting value set to said default value, and for changing said setting value of said one or more advertisement settings according to user input.
[0009] In one embodiment, the step of determining a default value for each of the one or more advertising settings may include determining the setting value of the most recently set advertising setting on the user's terminal as the default value for each of the one or more advertising settings.
[0010] In one embodiment, the one or more memories store statistical data regarding advertising costs or advertising revenue for one or more advertisements previously set on the user's terminal, and the step of determining a default value for each of the one or more advertisement settings may include: determining, based on the statistical data stored in the one or more memories, the advertisement that had the highest advertising revenue relative to advertising costs among the one or more advertisements previously set on the user's terminal; and determining the setting value of the advertisement that had the highest advertising revenue relative to advertising costs as a default value for each of the one or more advertisement settings.
[0011] In one embodiment, the setting value of the one or more advertising settings comprises an advertising period, which is a period for posting the advertisement of the store; an advertising budget, which is the total cost to be used for the advertisement of the store; an advertising cost ratio, which is the ratio of a commission to be paid out of the sales generated by the advertisement of the store; and at least one of the advertising application stores to which the set advertisement will be applied.
[0012] In one embodiment, the one or more ad setting values may further include exclusion search terms, which are keywords that prevent an ad from being exposed to consumers even if searched.
[0013] In one embodiment, the step of determining a default value for each of the one or more advertising settings includes determining a first advertising cost ratio as a default value for the advertising cost ratio corresponding to a first time period and determining a second advertising cost ratio as a default value for the advertising cost ratio corresponding to a second time period, and the average of sales occurring in the first time period may be higher than the average of sales occurring in the second time period.
[0014] In one embodiment, the first advertising cost ratio may be higher than the second advertising cost ratio.
[0015] In one embodiment, the step of determining a default value for each of the one or more advertising settings may include: determining whether the user is a new customer who has no usage history of the store; and determining a third advertising cost ratio as a default value of the advertising cost ratio based on the determination that the user is a new customer, and determining a fourth advertising cost ratio lower than the third advertising cost ratio as a default value of the advertising cost ratio based on the determination that the user is not a new customer.
[0016] In one embodiment, the first page further includes a preview of an advertisement for the store displayed on the search page, and the step of providing the first page may further include a step of determining the preview based on the advertising cost ratio.
[0017] In one embodiment, the step of determining the preview based on the advertising cost ratio may include: determining how much the advertising cost of one or more other stores that have set up an advertisement and are classified into the same category as the store is set; determining the location where the advertisement of the store is displayed on the search page for the category based on the advertising cost ratio of each of the one or more other stores and the store; and determining the preview based on the location where the advertisement of the store is displayed on the search page.
[0018] In one embodiment, the step of determining the location where the advertisement of the store is displayed on the search page for the category may include the step of determining that, among the one or more other stores and the store, the advertisement is displayed at the top of the search page in order of highest advertising cost ratio.
[0019] In one embodiment, the step of providing the first page may include: determining a first preview in which an advertisement of the store is displayed at a first position on the search page based on a default value of the advertising rate; changing the advertising rate based on user input; and determining a second preview in which an advertisement of the store is displayed at a second position different from the first position on the search page based on the changed advertising rate.
[0020] In one embodiment, the step of providing the first page may include providing the first page containing information on advertising performance and expected sales resulting from advertising, which indicates the ratio of increase in sales when advertising is set relative to existing sales based on the advertising cost ratio.
[0021] In one embodiment, the step of determining one or more advertising setting values may include determining the advertising budget of the store to be unlimited or determining it to a specific value based on user input.

The exclusion keywords are intended to prevent consumers who already know the store from placing an order with the store through the ad. Since a commission (e.g., an ad fee) is incurred on sales generated through the ad, the commission can be minimized by preventing consumers who already know the store and have searched with the correct keyword from placing an order with the store through the ad. The processor (210) may determine the setting values of one or more ad settings based on user input for the first page. For example, the first page may include a change button for changing each ad setting value, and the processor (210) may provide a page or menu that can determine each ad setting value based on user input to the change button.
[0081] According to one embodiment, the first page may further include an accordion menu (e.g., "Advanced Options") for one or more ad settings. According to one embodiment, the processor (210) may additionally display a UI for determining ad settings in the ad settings menu (310) based on user input (e.g., touch) to the accordion menu. For example, the first page may display only a UI for determining ad settings for the ad period, ad budget, ad cost ratio, and applicable stores, and may not display a UI for determining exclusion search terms. Subsequently, depending on user input to the accordion menu, the processor (210) may additionally display a UI for determining exclusion search terms on the first page. The processor (210) may display or hide additional UIs based on user input to the accordion menu.
[0082] The processor (210) can determine a default value for each ad setting. The processor (210) can generate first page information based on the predetermined default value for each ad setting. Below, various embodiments in which the processor (210) determines a default value for an ad setting will be described in detail.
[0083] According to one embodiment, the processor (210) may determine the setting value of the most recently set advertisement setting on the seller terminal as the default value for each of one or more advertisement settings. For example, if a seller has registered one or more stores operated by the seller on an online platform, the seller may set advertisements for one or more stores on the same seller terminal. The processor (210) may obtain information regarding the setting value of an advertisement previously set on the seller terminal. Based on the information regarding the setting value of the previously set advertisement, the processor (210) may determine the default value of the advertisement setting for the store advertisement.
[0084] According to one embodiment, the processor (210) can determine the default value of the store’s advertising settings based on the advertisement that had the highest advertising revenue relative to advertising costs among one or more previously set advertisements. The memory of the device can store statistical data regarding advertising costs or advertising revenue for one or more previously set advertisements in the seller terminal. The processor (210) can obtain statistical data from the memory and, based on the statistical data, determine the advertisement that had the highest advertising revenue relative to advertising costs among one or more previously set advertisements. For example, the processor (210) can analyze the advertising revenue relative to advertising costs for each of one or more different advertisements over a set period. For example, the processor (210) can determine the advertisement with the highest ratio of advertising revenue relative to advertising costs by analyzing the advertising revenue relative to advertising costs for one month after each of one or more different advertisements is set. The processor (210) can determine the setting value of the other advertisement with the highest ratio of advertising revenue relative to advertising costs as the setting value for the store’s advertisement. Through this method, the seller can post an advertisement having a setting value whose effectiveness has already been verified through other advertisements.
[0085] According to one embodiment, one or more previously set advertisements may be advertisements set on a terminal of a seller other than the seller operating the target store. That is, they may be advertisements previously set for a store other than the target store. If one or more previously set advertisements are advertisements previously set for a store other than the target store, the other store may be a store that sells goods or services of the same category as the target store. For example, if the target store sells Korean food, the processor (210) may determine the default value of the target store's advertisement settings based on the ratio of advertisement revenue to advertisement cost of one or more advertisements set in other stores selling Korean food.
[0086] According to one embodiment, the processor (210) may determine different default values for advertising settings depending on the time period. For example, the processor (210) may determine a first advertising cost ratio as a default value for advertising settings corresponding to a first time period and a second advertising cost ratio as a default value for advertising settings corresponding to a second time period. The processor (210) may apply different default values for advertising cost ratios depending on the time period based on the average of sales generated in each time period. For example, if the average of sales generated in the first time period is higher than the average of sales generated in the second time period, the first advertising cost ratio may be higher than the second advertising cost ratio. That is, since competition among stores is fierce during time periods when sales are high, a higher advertising cost ratio may be set to increase exposure to consumers.
[0087] It will be obvious that the embodiments in which the processor (210) determines the default value of the ad settings are not limited to those described above, and that the default value of the ad settings can be determined in various ways.
[0088] The preview (320) is a menu that shows in advance how the advertisement for a store set by a seller will be displayed to consumers using an online platform. According to one embodiment, the processor (210) can determine the location where the store's advertisement will be displayed on the search page based on the determined advertisement setting value. For example, the processor (210) can determine the location where the store's advertisement will be displayed on the search page based on the advertising cost ratio. The processor (210) can show the advertisement displayed at the determined location to the seller in advance on a small screen.
[0089] The expected performance indicator (330) is a menu that shows the expected performance and expected sales of an advertisement based on the advertising cost ratio. The processor (210) can calculate how much the store's sales will increase compared to existing sales based on the advertising cost ratio set by the user, and determine the expected performance based on the increased sales.
[0090] The ad start button (340) is a button for a seller who has finished all the settings for the ad to actually register the store's ad on an online platform. The processor (210) can post the store's ad on an online platform based on user input to the ad start button (340).
[0091] The guidance message (350) may include guidance text regarding the advertisement. The processor (210) may display guidance text on the first page recommending that merchants who have never set up an advertisement for the store set up an advertisement. According to one embodiment, the processor (210) may provide the merchant terminal with separate page information containing more detailed guidance text regarding the advertisement based on user input for the View Details button.
[0092] FIG. 4 illustrates a page (400) for determining an advertising period according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. A processor (210) may provide a page (400) for determining the period for posting an advertisement for a store based on a change button for the advertising period on a first page (300). Referring to FIG. 4, the processor (210) may provide a page (400) including a calendar (410) based on a change button for the advertising period on a first page (300). According to one embodiment, the calendar (410) displayed on the page (400) may further include graphic effects for today's date and past dates. According to one embodiment, the processor (210) may determine an advertising start date based on user input to the calendar (410). For example, based on user input for May 20, 2024 on the calendar (410), the processor (210) may determine that date as the advertising start date.
[0093] FIG. 5 illustrates pages (500a, 500b) for determining an advertising budget according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. A processor (210) may provide pages (500a, 500b) for determining an advertising budget, which is the total cost to be used for advertising a store, based on a change button for the advertising budget on a first page (300). According to one embodiment, the advertising cost may be the total sum of commissions, which is a certain percentage (e.g., advertising cost ratio) of the sales generated through advertising. Referring to FIG. 5, the processor (210) may provide pages (500a, 500b) that include a UI for selecting "no limit" for the advertising budget or setting a daily budget. As the user selects "no limit," the processor (210) may continue to post advertisements for the store regardless of the advertising costs incurred (500a). Conversely, as the user sets a daily budget, the processor (210) may stop posting advertisements by comparing the set budget with the incurred advertising costs (500b). For example, if the advertising costs incurred are less than the set budget, the advertisement will continue to be displayed, but if the advertising costs incurred exceed the set budget, the display of the advertisement may be stopped.
[0094] FIG. 6 illustrates a page (600) for determining an advertising fee ratio according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. A processor (210) may provide a page (600) for determining an advertising fee ratio, which is the ratio of a commission to be paid out of sales generated from an advertisement of a store, based on a change button for the advertising fee ratio on a first page (300). Referring to FIG. 6, the processor (210) may provide a page (600) for setting an advertising fee ratio based on a change button for the advertising fee ratio on a first page (300). According to one embodiment, the page (600) may include a menu (610) for setting an advertising fee and a guidance message (620). The guidance message (620) may display different text depending on the advertising fee ratio set by the seller. For example, the wording may differ when an average advertising cost ratio is set (e.g., "You have set the average commission rate. Experience increased exposure and sales!"), when a below-average advertising cost ratio is set (e.g., "You have set a lower-than-average commission rate. If you want more exposure and increased sales, try increasing the commission rate!"), and when an above-average advertising cost ratio is set (e.g., "You have set a high commission rate. You will be exposed to more consumers than other stores!").
[0095] FIG. 7 illustrates pages (700a, 700b) for determining advertising cost ratios according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. According to one embodiment, a processor (210) may provide a UI that can set different advertising cost ratios depending on the customer type. The processor (210) may check whether a consumer has a history of ordering at the store in question. For example, the processor (210) may check whether there is a search history and order history for the store in question on the consumer terminal. The processor (210) may determine a consumer who has no history of ordering at the store in question as a first-time customer, and a consumer who has a history of ordering at the store in question as a repeat customer. The processor (210) may provide a page (700b) that includes a menu for determining advertising cost ratios depending on whether the consumer who searched for the store is a first-time customer or a repeat customer.
[0096] Referring to FIG. 7, the processor (210) may provide a page (700a) including a menu (710) for determining a basic advertising cost ratio and a toggle switch (720) for setting first-order customers. The processor (210) may determine the basic advertising cost ratio based on user input to the menu (710). Based on user input to the toggle switch (720), the processor (210) may determine whether to set different advertising cost ratios depending on the customer type. Page (700a) illustrates the case where the toggle switch (720) is in the off state. When the user touches the toggle switch (720) to switch it to the on state, page (700b) may further display an additional menu (730) for setting advertising costs to be applied to first-order customers and a menu (740) indicating advertising cost ratios applied to first-order customers and reorder customers, respectively.
[0097] The processor (210) can determine a preview of the store's advertisement based on the advertisement setting values. For example, the processor (210) can determine the location where the store's advertisement will be displayed on the search page based on the advertising cost ratio, and determine a preview of the store's advertisement based on the determined location.
[0098] For example, the processor (210) can determine the location where an advertisement for a store is displayed on a search page based on an advertising cost ratio set for one or more advertisements of other stores classified in the same category as the store. The processor (210) can determine that among the advertisements of stores classified in the same category, those with the highest advertising cost ratios are displayed at the top of the search page.
[0099] Referring to FIG. 8a, if the processor (210) determines that among the advertisements of a store classified in the Korean food category, the store has the highest advertising cost ratio, it may decide to place the store's advertisement at the top of the search page. That is, sellers can post advertisements in a location that is more exposed to consumers as the advertising cost ratio increases. According to one embodiment, the preview may further include a guide text (820) (e.g., "It will be displayed as the first advertisement when searching") regarding the location where the store's advertisement is displayed.
[0100] Referring to FIG. 8b, if the processor (210) determines that among the advertisements of a store classified in the Korean food category, the store's advertising cost ratio is the second highest, the processor may determine that the store's advertisement is positioned second from the top on the search page. According to one embodiment, the preview may further include a guide text (820) (e.g., "It is displayed as the second advertisement when searching") regarding the location where the store's advertisement is displayed.
[0101] FIG. 9 illustrates a page for determining an applicable store according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. A processor (210) may provide a page (900) for determining an applicable store based on a change button for an applicable store on a first page (300). Referring to FIG. 9, the processor (210) may provide a page (900) containing a list (910) of one or more stores registered by a seller on an online platform based on a change button for an applicable store on a first page (300). According to one embodiment, the list (910) of one or more stores may further include a checkbox for selecting each store. The processor (210) may determine an applicable store based on user input for each store's checkbox.
[0102] FIG. 10 illustrates a page for determining exclusion search terms according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. A processor (210) may provide a page (1000) for determining exclusion search terms based on a change button for exclusion search terms on a first page (300). The exclusion search terms are intended to reduce commissions by preventing consumers who already know the store from placing orders through advertisements. Referring to FIG. 10, the page (1000) for determining exclusion search terms may include an input window (1010) for entering exclusion search terms. The processor (210) may determine exclusion search terms based on user input to the input window (1010). Even if exclusion search terms are entered on an online platform, the processor (210) may not display advertisements for the store set as exclusion search terms. However, it will be obvious that the store may be displayed in search results according to the search algorithm of the online platform, rather than through advertisements. Consumers who are already familiar with the store can order the store's products or services without going through advertisements by entering accurate keywords.
[0103] FIG. 11 illustrates a second page (1100) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. The second page (1100) may be a dashboard that allows checking the performance of advertisements set by a seller. According to one embodiment, the second page (1100) may include an advertisement performance summary (1110), an advertisement revenue graph (1120), and an advertisement settings menu (1130). The advertisement performance summary (1110) may include statistical data regarding at least one of the number of advertisement orders, advertisement revenue, number of advertisement impressions, or advertisement costs. According to one embodiment, the advertisement performance summary (1110) may be the sum of the advertisement performance set for each of one or more stores selected in the advertisement settings menu (1130). The advertisement revenue graph (1120) may show changes in advertisement revenue over time. The ad settings menu (1130) displays the setting values for one or more currently set ads and may further include an ad modification menu (1132) for modifying the setting values of each ad and an ad deletion menu (1134) for deleting ads.
[0104] For example, the processor (210) can change the setting values of advertisements set for a store displayed in the advertisement setting menu (1130) based on user input for the advertisement modification menu (1132). According to one embodiment, the advertisement modification menu (1132) may include an advertisement cost ratio modification button, an advertisement period modification button, or an advertisement budget modification button. The processor (210) can provide a page that allows the setting values of an advertisement to be modified based on user input for each button.
[0105] For example, the processor (210) can delete at least one of the advertisements set for a store displayed in the advertisement settings menu (1130) based on user input to the advertisement deletion menu (1134).
[0106] FIG. 12 illustrates a page (1200) for modifying the advertising cost ratio on a second page (1100) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. Since the operation of determining the advertising cost ratio provided on the page (1200) of FIG. 12 may be similar to the operation performed on the pages (600, 700a, 700b) for determining the advertising cost described in FIG. 6 and 7, the description of the overlapping parts is omitted. A processor (210) can collectively change the setting values of one or more advertisements selected in the advertising setting menu (1130) of the second page (1100) according to input to the page (1200). Referring to FIG. 12, the processor (210) can determine, according to user input, a value (e.g., 10%) to collectively change the advertising cost ratio (e.g., 10%, 15%, 8%, 10%) applied to the advertisements of the stores selected in the advertising setting menu (1130).
[0107] FIG. 13 illustrates a page for determining an advertising period on a second page according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Since the operation for determining an advertising period provided on the page (1300) of FIG. 13 may be similar to the operation performed on the page (400) for determining an advertising period described in FIG. 4, the description of the overlapping parts is omitted. A processor (210) can collectively change the advertising period of one or more advertisements selected in the advertising setting menu (1130) of the second page (1100) according to input to the page (1300). Referring to FIG. 13, the processor (210) can determine, according to user input, a value to collectively change the advertising period (e.g., 2022.03.01. ~ 2022.03.31.) applied to the advertisements of the stores selected in the advertising setting menu (1130). Alternatively, the processor (210) may determine the advertising period to have no end date according to user input.
[0108] FIG. 14 illustrates a page for determining an advertising budget on a second page according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Since the operation of determining an advertising budget provided on the page (1400) of FIG. 14 may be similar to the operation performed on the pages (500a, 500b) for determining an advertising budget described in FIG. 5, the description of the overlapping parts is omitted. A processor (210) can collectively change the advertising budget of one or more advertisements selected in the advertising setting menu (1130) of the second page (1100) according to input to the page (1400). Referring to FIG. 14, the processor (210) can determine, according to user input, a value (e.g., 100,000) to collectively change the advertising budget (e.g., 50,000, 80,000, etc.) applied to the advertisements of the stores selected in the advertising setting menu (1130). Alternatively, the processor (210) may determine the advertising budget to be unlimited according to user input.
[0109] FIG. 15 illustrates a guide page (1500) for advertising settings according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. A processor (210) can check whether there is a history of previously setting up an advertisement on a seller terminal. As the processor (210) determines that there is no history of previously setting up an advertisement on the seller terminal, it can provide a guide page (1500) for advertising settings. The guide page (1500) may further include, for example, a button to apply for free consulting regarding store advertising.
[0110] FIG. 16 is a flowchart of a method for setting up an advertisement according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. A processor (210) of a device (110) may receive a request from a user requesting a first page used to set up an advertisement for a store (S1610). The user may be a seller who provides goods or services by registering their store on an online platform.
[0111] The processor (210) of the device (110) can determine a default value for each of one or more ad settings related to the execution of an ad (S1620). The setting value of one or more ad settings may include at least one of the following: an ad period, which is the period for posting the ad of the store; an ad budget, which is the total cost to be used for the ad of the store; an ad cost ratio, which is the ratio of the commission to be paid to the sales generated by the ad of the store; an ad application store to which the set ad will be applied; or an exclusion search term, which is a keyword to prevent the ad from being exposed to consumers even if searched. For example, the processor (210) can determine the ad setting value of the most recently set ad on the merchant terminal as the default value. For example, among one or more ads set on the merchant terminal, the processor (210) can determine the setting value of the previous ad that had the highest ratio of ad sales to ad costs as the default value.
[0112] According to one embodiment, the processor (210) of the device (110) may set different default values for advertising settings depending on the time period. For example, the processor (210) may determine a first advertising cost ratio as a default value for an advertising cost ratio corresponding to a first time period, and determine a second advertising cost ratio as a default value for an advertising cost ratio corresponding to a second time period. According to one embodiment, the average of sales occurring in the first time period may be higher than the average of sales occurring in the second time period, and in this case, the first advertising cost ratio may be higher than the second advertising cost ratio.
[0113] According to one embodiment, the processor (210) of the device (110) can determine whether the consumer is a new customer who has no usage history with the store. For example, the processor (210) can determine a third advertising cost rate as a default value for the advertising cost rate based on the determination that the user is a new customer, and determine a fourth advertising cost rate lower than the third advertising cost rate as a default value for the advertising cost rate based on the determination that the user is not a new customer.
[0114] The processor (210) of the device (110) can generate first page information for displaying the first page on the user's terminal based on default values (S1630). The first page may include at least one of an ad settings menu (310), a preview of the ad (320), an expected performance indicator (330), an ad start button (340), or an ad guidance message (350).
[0115] The processor (210) of the device (110) can determine the preview (320) based on the advertising cost ratio. For example, the processor (210) can determine how much the advertising cost is set for one or more other stores that have set up advertisements and are classified in the same category as the target store, and can determine the location where the target store's advertisement is displayed on the search page for the category based on the advertising cost ratio of each of the one or more other stores and the target store. For example, the processor (210) can determine that among the one or more other stores and the target store, they are displayed at the top of the search page in order of the highest advertising cost ratio. The processor (210) can determine the preview based on the location where the target store's advertisement is displayed on the search page.
[0116] The processor (210) of the device (110) can transmit the generated first page information to the user's terminal (S1640). The processor (210) can determine the setting value of the advertisement based on user input for the first page.
[0117] The processor (210) of the device (110) can generate and transmit to a user terminal second page information that includes advertising data, which is statistical data regarding advertisements for one or more second stores where an advertisement is set. According to one embodiment, the second page may include advertising data including at least one of the total number of advertising orders, total advertising revenue, total advertising exposure, or total advertising cost generated by the advertisement, a graph visualizing the total advertising revenue, or at least one of the advertising setting values for each of the target store and one or more second stores, for advertisements set for each of the target store and one or more second stores.
[0118] The processor (210) of the device (110) can provide an ad setting guide page based on the determination that there is no history of setting up an ad for the store.
[0119] Although the steps of the method or algorithm according to the present disclosure are described in a sequential order in the flowchart illustrated in FIG. 16, the steps may be performed in any order that can be arbitrarily combined according to the present disclosure, in addition to being performed sequentially. The description according to the flowchart does not exclude changes or modifications to the method or algorithm and does not imply that any step is essential or desirable. In one embodiment, at least some of the steps may be performed in parallel, iteratively, or heuristically. In one embodiment, at least some of the steps may be omitted or other steps may be added.
