Description

firefighting and disaster prevention bags

[0001] The present invention relates to a disaster prevention bag designed to carry and store electronic items such as laptops, chargers, and power banks.

[0002] Specifically, the invention relates to a fire-fighting bag designed to maximize user safety by extinguishing a fire in electronic items stored inside and preventing the fire from spreading to the outside.

[0003] Generally, portable electronic devices such as laptops, chargers, and power banks are equipped with lithium batteries, and their usage is increasing significantly along with the development of small devices requiring high capacity, such as mobile phones, tablets, and digital cameras.

[0004] Due to the diversity of applications for these lithium batteries, the demand for them is expected to increase exponentially in the future.

[0005] Meanwhile, lithium used in the above lithium battery is an inherently unstable element that reacts rapidly with moisture in the air and is prone to explosion, and the electrolyte poses a fire risk due to overheating.

[0006] In addition, if a lithium-ion battery undergoes thermal runaway, a large amount of gas is generated and a chain reaction of explosions occurs, making fire suppression difficult.

[0007] Accordingly, the lithium battery includes a safety protection circuit and is surrounded on the inside by hard plastic.

[0008] Consequently, although the probability of lithium batteries themselves failing is low, concerns about battery safety are rising due to several fires or explosions caused by their use.

[0009] In particular, as incidents of fires occurring on aircraft due to the explosion of portable power banks brought on board or the explosion of lithium batteries stored in airport cargo warehouses are occurring frequently, special measures against fire are required as there is a concern about the spread of fire when storing or using large quantities of lithium batteries.

[0010] Accordingly, a disaster prevention bag designed to carry and store electronic items such as laptops, chargers, and power banks is being proposed.

[0011] In Korean Utility Model Publication No. 20-2024-0001594 (Title: Portable fire extinguisher for electronic devices / Published September 24, 2024), as disclosed in the publication, a fire extinguisher is described that includes a bag comprising: a main body having a storage space formed on the inside; an opening and closing device for opening and closing the main body; and a handle portion disposed on the outside of the main body. The fire extinguisher is described that includes: a fire extinguishing agent storage portion located on the inner surface of the upper and lower portions of the main body and containing a fire extinguishing agent; a plurality of nozzles from which the fire extinguishing agent is sprayed from the fire extinguishing agent storage portion; an exhaust portion located on the outer surface of the lower portion of the main body and discharging gas and smoke; an exhaust port located on the inner surface of the lower portion of the main body and into which gas and smoke are sucked; and an exhaust line connecting the exhaust port to the exhaust portion.

[0012] In addition, Korean Patent Registration No. 10-1773844 (Title: Rescue Suit for Storage of Life-Saving Case Equipped with Fire Extinguisher and Compatible Bag / Published August 28, 2017), as disclosed in the publication, the invention comprises: configuring both sleeve portions to allow selective opening and closing via zippers; configuring the collar portion to allow selective opening and closing via zippers so that the neck can be inserted during a disaster situation and functions as a storage pocket during normal times; configuring vertical support straps to cross-connect the front and rear lower portions of the rescue suit at one or more points over the shoulders; fixing life straps that cross-connect with the support straps to the front and rear lower portions of the rescue suit integrally, but configuring a loose connecting knot between the intersection points on the front so as not to fix to the rescue suit; configuring buoyancy means integrally on the front and back of the rescue suit to allow it to float on water; and having a disaster rescue request display plate on either the front or back of the rescue suit. A relief uniform that doubles as a bag is described.

[0013] In addition, Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2019-0137603 (Title: Backpack-type Fire Extinguisher / Published on October 21, 2020.) describes a backpack-type fire extinguisher comprising, as disclosed in the publication, a 3.3kg powder fire extinguisher, a fire extinguisher formed with a larger capacity than existing ones to extinguish a fire in case of fire, a fixing buckle formed firmly using iron to connect the fire extinguisher and the backrest, a spray handle configured identically to the handle of existing fire extinguishers to spray the fire extinguisher, a gas mask configured to block external and internal air to prevent suffocation in case of fire smoke, a bag buckle configured to connect both sides so that the bag strap does not slip, a backrest bag formed in a backpack style to allow carrying a heavy weight on the back, and a safety pin configured identically to existing fire extinguishers to prevent accidental discharge.

[0014] Meanwhile, an automatic fire extinguishing agent supply box for lithium batteries is proposed to prevent chain explosions and fire spread in the event of a fire when storing and using multiple lithium battery cells, modules, or battery packs.

[0015] In other words, Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2020-0120194 (Title: Automatic Fire Extinguishing Agent Supply Box for Lithium Batteries / Published on October 21, 2020) describes an automatic fire extinguishing agent supply box that, as disclosed in the publication, has a structure in which an upper storage box is stacked on top of a lower storage box, wherein a fire extinguishing agent is stored in the upper storage box and a lithium battery is stored or installed in the lower storage box. The upper storage box has an inclined surface to allow the fire extinguishing agent to easily pour into the lower storage box in the event of a fire, and the bottom including the inclined surface has a number of holes, which are normally blocked by a combustible sheet, and in the event of a lithium battery fire, the combustible sheet melts due to the flames or heat, causing the fire extinguishing agent to pour down.

[0021] However, the aforementioned conventional bags and storage devices had a problem in that they were not suitable for use in disaster prevention bags designed to carry and store electronic items, such as auxiliary batteries containing lithium, which pose a high risk of fire.

[0022] In addition, there was a problem in that it could not be properly applied in cases where it was difficult to carry fire extinguishers (e.g., fire extinguishers cannot be brought into the cabin when boarding an airplane).

[0023]

[0024] The present invention is proposed to solve the aforementioned conventional problems, and the objective of the present invention is to provide a fire safety bag designed to carry and store electronic items such as laptops, chargers, and power banks, and to maximize user safety by extinguishing a fire in the event of a fire occurring in the electronic items stored inside, thereby preventing the fire from spreading to the outside.

[0025] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a fire prevention bag that is suitable for use even in cases where it is difficult to carry a fire extinguisher (e.g., when a fire extinguisher cannot be brought into the cabin when boarding an airplane), and also improves the pouch containing the auxiliary battery—which poses the greatest fire risk—into a double-layered structure, while minimizing smoke leakage and blocking air inflow during expansion to minimize the risk of fire.

[0026] A fire prevention bag according to the present invention for achieving the above-described objective of the present invention comprises: a bag body having a storage space formed inside with an opening that opens and closes inward and outward; and a fire prevention means provided in the bag body to extinguish a fire that occurs in the storage space; wherein the bag body is provided with a facility sub-space separated from the storage space by a partition wall; and the fire prevention means comprises: a fire detection sensor provided in the storage space where electronic items are stored to detect a fire; a power supply member provided in the facility sub-space to supply power to the fire detection sensor; a control member that receives detection data detected by the fire detection sensor and performs calculations through set data; and a fire extinguishing member that is driven by control through the control member to spray a 'fire extinguishing element' to extinguish a fire in the storage space.

[0027] The fire prevention bag according to the present invention, constructed in this manner, accommodates electronic items such as laptops, chargers, and power banks in the storage space of the bag body for carrying and storing, and when a fire occurs in the electronic items stored inside the storage space, a fire detection sensor detects it, and a control member configured to perform calculations based on the detected detection data extinguishes the fire by spraying fire extinguishing elements (powder extinguishing agent, gas extinguishing agent, liquid extinguishing agent, etc.) through a fire extinguishing member provided in the facility space, thereby having the effect of preventing the fire from spreading to the outside.

[0028] At this time, power is continuously supplied to the fire detection sensor and control unit through a power supply unit provided in the facility space, thereby maximizing operational stability.

[0029] In addition, it is suitable for use in cases where it is difficult to carry a fire extinguisher (e.g., fire extinguishers cannot be brought into the cabin when boarding an airplane), and the pouch containing the auxiliary battery, which poses the greatest fire risk, is improved to a double-layered structure, thereby minimizing smoke leakage and blocking air inflow when expanded, thus minimizing the risk of fire.

These embodiments are provided to more fully explain the present invention to those with average knowledge in the art. Accordingly, the shapes of elements in the drawings may be exaggerated to emphasize clearer explanations. It should be noted that in each drawing, identical components may be depicted with the same reference numeral. Detailed descriptions of known functions and configurations that are deemed to unnecessarily obscure the essence of the present invention are omitted.

[0039] FIGS. 1 to 9 are drawings showing a fire prevention bag (1) according to an embodiment of the present invention. The fire prevention bag (1) according to the present embodiment comprises: a bag body (2) having a storage space (A) formed inside that is opened and closed inward and outward; and a fire prevention means (3) provided in the bag body (2) to extinguish a fire that occurs in the storage space (A).

[0040] That is, electronic items (100), such as a laptop, charger, and power bank, are accommodated and carried in the storage space (A) of the bag body (2).

[0041] At this time, if a fire occurs in the storage space (A), it is extinguished through the fire extinguishing means (3) to prevent the fire from spreading to the outside.

[0042]

[0043] In the above, the bag body (2) may be provided with an opening (21) that is spatially connected to the outside and opened with respect to the storage space (A), a cover (22) that opens and closes the opening (21), and a handle (23) that can be held and attached by a user.

[0044]

[0045] In the disaster prevention bag (1) according to this embodiment, the bag body (2) is provided with a facility space (B) separated by a storage space (A) and a partition wall (4).

[0046] In addition, the fire extinguishing and fire prevention means (3) comprises: a fire detection sensor (31) provided in the storage space (A) where the electronic item (100) is stored to detect a fire; a power supply member (32) provided in the facility space (B) to supply power to the fire detection sensor (31); a control member (33) that receives detection data detected by the fire detection sensor (31) and performs calculations through set data; and a fire extinguishing member (34) that is driven by control through the control member (33) to spray a 'fire extinguishing element' to extinguish a fire in the storage space (A).

[0047] That is, as the storage space (A) and the facility sub-space (B) of the bag body (2) are separated by the partition wall (4), the stability of the storage quality of the electronic items (100) stored in the storage space (A) is secured, and the structural stability of the facility state and facility structure of the fire prevention means (3) installed in the facility sub-space (B) is realized.

[0048] In addition, when a fire occurs in the electronic item (100) stored inside the storage space (A), the fire detection sensor (31) detects it, and the detected detection data is transmitted to the control member (33) and calculated through the set setting data (program) to control the operation of the fire extinguishing member (34).

[0049] When the fire extinguishing member (34) is driven by the control of the above-mentioned control member (33), it extinguishes the fire by spraying out a fire extinguishing element (powder fire extinguishing agent, gas fire extinguishing agent, liquid fire extinguishing agent, etc.) to prevent the fire from spreading to the outside.

[0050] At this time, the power supply member (32) provided in the storage space (A) continuously supplies the necessary power to the fire detection sensor (31) and the control member (33).

[0051] Accordingly, stability in use is ensured.

[0052]

[0053] In the above, the fire detection sensor (31) may be composed of a ‘heat sensor’ configured to detect high heat generated when a fire occurs in the electronic item (100).

[0054]

[0055] In the above, the power supply member (32) may be made of a ‘rechargeable battery’ or ‘accumulator’ capable of charging electrical energy.

[0056]

[0057] The extinguishing element mentioned above may consist of a 'extinguishing agent' designed to perform extinguishing operations for electrical fires.

[0058]

[0059] Meanwhile, in the fire prevention bag (1) according to the present embodiment, the fire extinguishing member (34) may include: a fire extinguishing box (342) having a space portion in which the fire extinguishing element (341) is contained; a spray pipe (343) configured to spatially connect the space portion of the fire extinguishing box (342) and a spray hole (41) formed in the partition wall (4) to form a movement spray path of the fire extinguishing element (341); and an opening element (344) provided in the spray pipe (343) and configured to open the movement spray path of the fire extinguishing element (341) in the spray pipe (343) through the control of the control member (33).

[0060] That is, when the fire extinguishing element (341) is to be sprayed into the storage space (A) by driving the fire extinguishing element (344) by the control of the control member (33), the opening element (344) is operated to open the spray pipe (343), and the fire extinguishing element (341) contained in the fire extinguishing box (342) is sprayed into the storage space (A) through the spray pipe (343) and the spray hole (41), thereby extinguishing the fire that occurred in the electronic item (100) stored in the storage space (A).

[0061]

[0062] The opening element (344) above may be formed as an ‘opening / closing structure with an electronic valve’ configured to open / close the injection pipe (343); the configuration and structure thereof may be appropriately applied according to the user's choice.

[0063]

[0064] In the above, the fire extinguisher (342) may be provided with a 'spewing pressure element' configured to provide a jetting pressure to the fire extinguishing element (341) contained therein through the jetting pipe (343).

[0065] That is, when the spray pipe (343) is opened by the opening element (344) through the above-mentioned discharge pressure, the fire extinguishing element (341) contained in the fire extinguishing box (342) is discharged and sprayed into the storage space (A), thereby extinguishing the fire.

[0066]

[0067] In the above, the ejection pressure element is configured to form an ejection pressure for the extinguishing element (341); the configuration and structure thereof may be suitably applied according to the user's choice.

[0068]

[0069] In the fire prevention bag (1) according to the present embodiment, the bag body (2) may be equipped with a fire alarm speaker (5) that is driven by the control of the control member (33) to emit a fire alarm sound to the outside.

[0070] That is, when a fire occurs in an electronic item (100) stored inside the storage space (A), the fire detection sensor (5) detects it, and the detected detection data is transmitted to the control member (33) and calculated through the set setting data (program) to control the operation of the fire alarm speaker (5), thereby providing information about the occurrence of a fire to the outside as a 'warning sound'.

[0071]

[0072] In the disaster prevention bag (1) according to the present embodiment as described above, a storage space (C) may be formed inside the bag body (2), separated from the storage space (A) and the facility space (B) by a partition wall (6) to accommodate and store separate equipment (laptop, mouse, keyboard, accessories, etc.) (200).

[0073] That is, by forming a separate receiving space (C) separated from the storage space (A) and the facility space (B) inside the bag body (2) through the separation wall (6), various receiving items (200) selected by the user can be received, stored, and carried, thereby improving usability.

[0074]

[0075] In addition, in the disaster prevention bag (1) according to the present embodiment, the storage space (A) may be provided with a plurality of partition walls (7) spaced apart to form partitioned small spaces (a1)(a2)(a3)(a4) in which electronic items (100) are each accommodated.

[0076] That is, various electronic items (100), such as auxiliary batteries, mobile phones, electronic cigarettes, lighters, etc., can be isolated and stored and carried in each of the multiple divided spaces (a1)(a2)(a3)(a4) formed through the aforementioned dividing walls (7).

[0077] Accordingly, usability can be improved.

[0078]

[0079] Meanwhile, in the facility space (B) above, a plurality of fire extinguishing members (34) may be arranged and positioned to supply fire extinguishing elements (341) while being tailored to each of the divided spaces (a1), (a2), (a3), (a4).

[0080] That is, each of the above-mentioned fire extinguishing members (34) is controlled and driven through the control member (33), so that fire extinguishing elements (341) are sprayed independently to each of the electronic items (100) stored in each of the divided sub-spaces (a1)(a2)(a3)(a4) to extinguish the fire, thereby allowing the fire extinguishing work to be carried out more efficiently.

[0081]

[0082] In the fire prevention bag (1) according to the present embodiment, the inner side of the storage space (A) may be provided with a guide passage (D) that guides the fire extinguishing element (341) sprayed from the spray hole (41) of the partition wall (4) to make even contact with the entire surface of the electronic item (100).

[0083] That is, when the fire extinguishing element (34) is driven by the control of the control member (33) and the fire extinguishing element (341) is sprayed into the storage space (A) through the spray hole (41), it is guided to the entire range of the storage space (A) through the guide passage (D) and comes into contact with the fire that has occurred, so that the extinguishing operation can be carried out more quickly and stably.

[0084]

[0085] In the above, the guide passage (D) may be composed of a plurality of guide protrusions (8) that are formed protruding from the inner surface of the bag body (2) forming the storage space (A) and one side surface of the separation wall (6) to form a gap between the electronic items (100).

[0086] That is, the guide passage (D) can be formed between the guide protrusions (8).

[0087] At this time, the guide protrusions (8) have a length in a radial direction with the injection hole (41) as the reference center, so that the extinguishing element (341) ejected from the injection hole (41) is guided in a spreading manner and spread to make contact with the entire surface area of the electronic article (100) in an even distribution.

[0088]

[0089] The fire prevention bag (1) according to the present embodiment, as described above, is used to carry and store electronic items (100) and receiving equipment (200) in the storage space (A) and receiving space (C) of the bag body (2). When a fire occurs in an electronic item (100) stored inside the storage space (A), the fire detection sensor (31) detects it, and based on the detected detection data, the control member (33) performs calculations to control and drive the fire extinguishing member (34) provided in the facility sub-space (B). As a result, the fire extinguishing element (341) contained in the fire extinguishing box (342) is ejected into the storage space (A) through the spray hole (41), thereby extinguishing the fire generated in the electronic item (100) and preventing it from spreading to the outside. Furthermore, through the power supply member (32) provided in the facility sub-space (B), the fire detection sensor (31) and the The technical configuration is characterized by continuously supplying power to the fire alarm speaker (5) and the control member (33).
