Description

[0001] DESCRIPTION

[0002] PROPELLER FOR SPORT SHOOTING

[0003] FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0004] The present invention relates to a propeller for sport shooting that combines technological innovation, environmental sustainability and advanced functionality, with a propeller composed of a reusable support and a disposable plate. The propeller for sport shooting is applicable in the sports industry, specifically in the sport shooting industry.

[0005] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The prior art propellers are composed of a support usually made of fragile polystyrene and a core usually made of resistant polyethylene, they have several technical, environmental and functional drawbacks that limit their sustainability and acceptance, especially in particular markets.

[0007] The polystyrene support, by fragmenting into small, sharp fragments after the impact of the shot, generates significant risks for local wildlife in uncontrolled environments. These fragments, in addition to being difficult to collect manually, can cause, among other drawbacks, cuts in animals that accidentally ingest them. This problem is especially relevant in the private market, where the collection of fragments is manual and laborious, and often incomplete, which causes rejection among users and rural communities.

[0008] On the other hand, the current core, made of non-biodegradable polyethylene, persists in the environment when it is not collected, increasing the load of plastic waste in the natural environment. This situation contrasts with the growing social and regulatory demands around sustainability and the circular economy, which demand more environmentally friendly products.

[0009] Additionally, the current design of the propellers does not allow taking advantage of technological advances in materials and manufacturing that could significantly improve their functional performance, safety and environmental impact. This lack of innovation makes it difficult to adapt the sport shooting market to more modern, sustainable and efficient standards. The development of the propeller that is the subject of the invention focuses on solving the current limitations of existing materials and designs, especially with regard to safety, environmental sustainability and functionality in different use environments.

[0010] A first general objective is to design and develop a new generation of sports propellers that combine biodegradable materials and optimized geometries to meet the demands of flight, safety and environmental sustainability. The propellers are composed of two elements, support and plate. This objective implies the development of the propeller that is the subject of the invention that is characterized by using supports made of advanced materials, such as polyethylene of different densities and biodegradable plate based on corn or rice husks. The design ensures optimal flight behavior in terms of stability and trajectory, adapting to both particular and competitive use, and significantly reducing environmental impact by eliminating non-degradable plastic waste.

[0011] The second general objective is to develop and validate a technical solution that allows an efficient adaptation of the propellers to the competitive and particular environment. In general, a reusable propeller support is sought to facilitate its collection after firing, minimizing waste in the environment.

[0012] Another objective of the invention is to achieve more spectacularity in the practice of the sport shooting modality.

[0013] DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The object of the invention is a propeller for sport shooting that comprises a support made of high-density polyethylene, and a plate made of a material with a hardness and fragility such that it allows the resistance to rotation of the support in its operation in the machine and in flight, but at the same time has sufficient fragility to break when it receives the shot pellets, where the plate comprises two main anchorages and two housings and where the support comprises two blades facing each other and joined to each other through a central body.

[0015] The propeller plate that is the subject of the invention is made of a material to be chosen between polystyrene or a biodegradable polymer, since both materials offer hardness and fragility such that it allows the resistance to rotation of the support in its operation in the machine and in flight, but at the same time has sufficient fragility to break when it receives the shot pellets. The central body comprises a central part, two tangential perimeter protrusions, such that each tangential perimeter protrusion comprises a thickened end, and two facing protrusions, such that each facing protrusion has a shoulder.

[0016] Each blade comprises a blade body and a shaft, such that the shaft comprises a central hole configured to receive one of the facing protrusions of the central body, wherein said central hole has a curved wall configured so that the shoulder of the end of the facing protrusion rests on the curved wall and provides support both for a rotational movement of the blade with respect to the central body and for a linear movement inside the central hole of the facing protrusion,

[0017] In addition, each blade comprises a stub in the confluence zone between the shaft and the blade body, such that said stub is configured to be inserted into one of the main anchorages of the support,

[0018] In addition, each blade, in the confluence zone between the shaft and the blade body, comprises a protrusion with a thickened end, such that said thickened end is configured to join with the thickened end of a tangential perimeter protrusion of the central body forming an end configured to be introduced into the main anchorage of the plate and block a relative position between the blade and the central body.

[0019] In the propeller for sport shooting that is the subject of the invention, the thickened end of each tangential perimeter protrusion of the central body has a semi-circular shape, and the thickened end of the protrusion of each blade has a semi-circular shape.

[0020] In the propeller for sport shooting that is the subject of the invention, the plate comprises a dome-shaped casing.

[0021] In the propeller for sport shooting that is the subject of the invention, the protrusion of the confluence zone between the shaft and the blade body of each blade has a circular shape.

[0022] In the propeller for sport shooting that is the subject of the invention, the blade body with an approximately triangular shape.

[0023] With the propeller for sport shooting that is the subject of the invention, the material that is discarded in each shot is reduced, since in the propeller models for sport shooting known in the prior art, 40 grams of polystyrene (body and blades) were broken and 20 grams (plate)were reused, while with the propeller that is the subject of the invention, 40 grams (body and blades) are reused and less than 20 grams of bio polymer or polystyrene are broken.

[0024] As a general rule, the object of the invention is a target to practice propeller-shaped shooting, such that the propeller is inserted into a machine that makes it rotate at more than 3,500 rpm, until the propeller leaves the machine and flies, at which time a shooter shoots it with a hunting weapon or sport shooting, when the ammunition impacts the propeller, the propeller breaks, specifically the plate breaks and the propeller falls to the ground.

[0049] PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0050] The object of the invention is a propeller for sport shooting comprising a reusable support (1 ) made of high-density polyethylene, which is designed to withstand multiple impacts, and a plate (2) made of a material to be chosen from polystyrene or a biodegradable polymer that can be made from natural materials such as corn or rice husk.

[0051] The plate (2) is dome-shaped, where two main anchoring holes (3), two housings (4) and a central hole (5) are located, such that a part of the support (1 ) is located inside the plate (2).

[0052] The propeller support (1) that is the subject of the invention comprises two blades (6) facing each other and joined to each other through a central body (7).

[0053] The central body (7) of the support (1) comprises:

[0054] - circumference-shaped central part (8),

[0055] - two tangential perimeter protrusions (9) that are parallel to each other, such that each tangential perimeter protrusion (9) comprises a thickened end (10) that in one embodiment has a semi-circular shape, and

[0056] - two facing protrusions (11), such that each facing protrusion (11) has a shoulder (12).

[0057] Each blade (6) of the propeller that is the subject of the invention comprises a blade body (13) with an approximately triangular shape and an shaft (14) with a specific configuration defined below.

[0058] The circumference-shaped central part (8) of the central body (7) of the support (1 ) is the area of the propeller for sport shooting, that is the subject of the invention, through which the insertion to the launching machine of said propeller for the practice of shooting is executed.

[0059] The shaft (14) comprises a central hole (15) configured to receive one of the facing protrusions (11) of the central body (7), where said central hole (15) has a curved wall (16) configured so that the shoulder (12) of the end of the facing protrusion (11 ) rests on it and provides supportfor a rotational movement of the blade (6) with respect to the central body (7) that also generates a linear movement inside the central hole (15) of a facing protrusion (11) of the central body (7). Therefore, the support of the shoulder (12) of the end of the facing protrusion (11) of the central body (7) on the curved wall (16) of the central hole (15) of the shaft (14) of the blade (6), produces a double movement of the blade (6) with respect to the body (7), a rotational movement of the blade (6) and a translational movement inside the central hole (15).

[0060] In each blade (6), in the confluence zone between the shaft (14) and the blade body (13), it is located comprises a protrusion (17) of circular shape, such that said protrusion (17) also has an end with a thickened end (18) which in an embodiment has a semi-circular shape, such that said thickened end (18) comes into contact with the thickened end (10) of a tangential perimeter protrusion (9) of the central body (7) configuring a circular shape.

[0061] Each blade (6) comprises a stub (19) in the confluence zone between the shaft (14) and the blade body (13), such that said stub (19) is configured to be inserted into one of the housings (4) of the plate (2).

[0062] In the propeller that is the subject of the invention, the blade (13) can be in two extreme positions:

[0063] - a first position or flight position of the propeller, where the thickened end (10) of the tangential perimeter protrusion (9) of the central body (7) contacts the thickened end (18) of the protrusion (17) of the blade (6) configuring a circular shape that is introduced into one of the housings (4) of the plate (2) blocking the position of the blade (6) with respect to the central body (7) of the support (1); and

[0064] - a second position or fall position, in which the plate (2) does not appear (disappears due to the impact of a shot) and therefore there is no fixing of the thickened end (10) of the tangential perimeter protrusion (9) with the thickened end (18) of the protrusion (17) of the blade (6). In this position, due to the torque exerted on the blades (6) by the air and the centrifugal force on the blades (6), said blades change their position, reversing the thrust and causing the propeller to fall to the ground.
