Description

Information configuration methods, communication nodes and storage media Technical Field

[0001] This application relates to the field of communication technology, such as an information configuration method, a communication node, and a storage medium. Background Technology

[0002] The Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) is a key component of 5G NR networks, used for cell search and synchronization. It consists of a Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS) and a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS), helping User Equipment (UE) determine cell time and frequency synchronization. The SSB is transmitted at the physical layer, enabling the UE to identify and access the network. In 5G networks, the SSB can be always-on (AO-SSB) or on-demand (OD-SSB), allowing the network to dynamically send SSBs under specific conditions to optimize resource allocation and improve network efficiency. SSB measurements are crucial for cell selection, reselection, and handover decisions, and are used in L1 and L3 Radio Resource Management (RRM) measurements to ensure network performance and quality of service. In the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), the application of OD-SSB in secondary cells (SCells) for network energy conservation enhancement can be mainly divided into two categories: Case 1, where OD-SSB is not configured in the SCell; and Case 2, where OD-SSB is configured in the SCell for periodic measurement transmission. For both cases, how the radio side configures and activates the relevant resources is crucial and requires further research. Summary of the Invention

[0043] This application provides a method for configuring OD-SSB configuration information and activating / deactivating the Medium Access Control-Control Element (MAC CE) in a secondary cell (SCell) during network energy saving in either a connectionless or connected mode on the terminal side. This method offers the following advantages: it provides a way for the base station to configure and activate network resources, enabling dynamic adjustment of SCell resource allocation according to actual needs, reducing unnecessary energy consumption, and optimizing the performance and resource utilization of the communication system.

[0044] The following describes the information configuration method, communication nodes, and their technical effects.

[0045] Figure 2 is a first flowchart illustrating an information configuration method provided in an embodiment of this application. As shown in Figure 2, the method provided in this embodiment is applicable to a first communication node (also referred to as a first communication node device, or a first node, or a first device). The method includes the following steps.

[0046] S110, Generate at least one OD-SSB configuration information for the SCell of the second communication node.

[0047] In this embodiment, a communication node refers to a device or entity with communication capabilities, such as a UE, BS, gNB, router, or satellite. The first communication node and the second communication node are two different communication devices or entities. For example, the first communication node is a gNB, and the second communication node is a UE.

[0048] In multi-carrier communication systems, in addition to the primary cell (PCell), multiple secondary cells are configured to share the data transmission task in order to improve system capacity and data transmission efficiency. In this embodiment, SCell refers to the secondary cell managed or used by the second communication node. The second communication node has at least one SCell, and each SCell corresponds to at least one OD-SSB configuration information.

[0049] In this embodiment, for at least one SCell of the second communication node, relevant configuration information for controlling OD-SSB, i.e., OD-SSB configuration information, is created. Since different application scenarios and business requirements may require different configurations, at least one OD-SSB configuration information needs to be generated for each SCell so that an appropriate configuration can be selected according to the specific situation to control the transmission and use of OD-SSB on the SCell, thereby achieving efficient synchronization and resource management.

[0050] The following are some ways OD-SSB configuration information can exist: 1. SCell configuration information can be included in the SCell add and modify list (e.g., SCellToAddModList), and OD-SSB configuration information can be included within the SCell configuration information. 2. OD-SSB configuration information can be included in the frequency band configuration information, allowing all SCells within the same frequency range (FR) to share the same set of OD-SSB parameters. 3. For dedicated OD-SSB configuration information, such as a list of OD-SSB configuration information in the cell group configuration (e.g., CellGroupConfig), this list can contain multiple OD-SSB configuration information. 4. For dedicated Measurement Object (MO) configuration, an OD-SSB configuration information or a list of OD-SSB configuration information can be included in the NR's MO. 5. Introducing a separate OD-SSB configuration message. 6. Add an OD-SSB SCell add / modify list field (e.g., SCellToAddModList) to the Radio Resource Control (RRC) reconfiguration information (e.g., RRCReconfiguration message) to represent the OD-SSB configuration message.

[0051] In one embodiment, the OD-SSB configuration information mainly includes the complete SSB configuration parameters of the OD-SSB itself (such as the SSB's time slot, frequency position, power settings, etc.) and / or the configuration information related to OD-SSB measurement.

[0052] In one embodiment, the OD-SSB configuration information includes basic configuration information, which is the configuration information used by the OD-SSB when it is not activated by the Media Access Control-Control Unit (MAC CE). It should be noted that when there is only one OD-SSB configuration information, the OD-SSB configuration information is the basic configuration information; when there is more than one OD-SSB configuration information, the OD-SSB configuration information includes the basic configuration information, as well as the OD-SSB pre-configuration information described below.

[0053] In at least one OD-SSB configuration information corresponding to a SCell, the basic configuration information can be identified by explicit indication information, such as: index number, 1 bit indication information, or information element used to identify the basic configuration information; the basic configuration information can also be identified by implicit indication information, such as: the OD-SSB configuration information corresponding to a fixed sequential number (such as the first one) in the list information is the basic configuration information.

[0054] The aforementioned basic configuration information and OD-SSB pre-configuration information may include at least one of the following: SCell index information, SSB subcarrier spacing information, OD-SSB dedicated configuration identifier (ID) information, OD-SSB index information, OD-SSB configured ID information, OD-SSB physical cell ID information, the number N of OD-SSB bursts, OD-SSB burst location, time domain offset, and OD-SSB-based synchronization signal / Primary Broadcast Channel Block Measurement Timing configuration. Configuration (SMTC) window information, SMTC window information for OD-SSB pre-configuration resources, measurement ID information, OD-SSB period information, such as: 5ms, 10ms, 20ms, 40ms, 80ms, 160ms, 320ms, 640ms, average equivalent radiated power of the resource element carrying the SSS, in dBm, time-domain location of the on-demand synchronization signal block transmitted in an SSB, SSB frequency, OD-SSB mode (selectable from three, corresponding to 4 / 8 / 64 SSBs respectively), indication information of whether the measurement is based on the OD-SSB mode, and the synchronization signal / physical broadcast channel (Synchronization Signal / Physical Broadcast) information for each beam. The measurement results of the Channel (SS / PBCH) block are defined as the maximum average number of measurements, and an absolute threshold is defined. Only when the measurement results of the SS / PBCH block exceed this threshold will they be considered for subsequent measurement result integration and reporting. It indicates whether the UE can use the timing information of a cell on the target frequency band to derive the SSB index value. It also includes Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) measurement based on the synchronization reference signal, which contains two parameters: measurementSlots and endSymbol. measurementSlots indicates the time slots in which the UE can perform RSSI measurements. The `endSymbol` defines the symbol range for measurements within these time slots, measurement report information: the type of triggering event, the measurement quantity to be reported, the report type period or event trigger, the number of UE Rx-Tx time difference measurement reports, the period of periodic reports, measurement interval configuration information: gap mode offset, measurement gap length, measurement repetition period, measurement gap timing advance, initial activation state: defining the SCell's OD-SSB initial state (activated / deactivated), and status indication: defining the SCell's OD-SSB state (activated / deactivated).

[0055] Furthermore, regarding the number N of OD-SSB bursts, in one embodiment, the terminal behavior may include at least one of the following: 1. If a deactivation instruction is received before the broadcast count N expires, the terminal stops measuring OD-SSB; for AO-SSB measurement, the terminal behavior includes at least one of the following: if AO-SSB exists, the AO-SSB measurement is not affected, the AO-SSB measurement is resumed, or the AO-SSB measurement is not resumed; 2. If an activation instruction is received before the broadcast count N expires, the terminal continues its previous behavior; and if a predefined MAC CE with a fixed format is used, only one activation instruction is needed, and no additional index or other information is required; 3. After the broadcast count N expires, the terminal stops measuring OD-SSB; for AO-SSB measurement, the terminal behavior includes at least one of the following: if AO-SSB exists, the AO-SSB measurement is not affected, the AO-SSB measurement is resumed, or the AO-SSB measurement is not resumed.

[0056] Furthermore, to ensure dynamic adjustment of OD-SSB configuration, in one embodiment, when the number of OD-SSB configuration information is greater than one, the OD-SSB configuration information also includes OD-SSB pre-configuration information for MAC CE activation. The OD-SSB pre-configuration information may include at least one of the following: 1. An index list of pre-configured OD-SSB resources for a single SCell. 2. An index list of pre-configured resources for all OD-SSBs in a single SCell list. 3. An index list of pre-configured resources for all OD-SSBs in a single frequency band. 4. Pre-configuration information for one or two OD-SSBs per SCell. 5. One SCell OD-SSB configuration information corresponds to one SMTC configuration information.

[0057] This includes an index list for pre-configured OD-SSB resources within a single SCell, with index values such as 1, 2, 3, and 7, and each index corresponding to a set of parameters for pre-configuring OD-SSBs. Alternatively, it can be an index list for pre-configured resources of all OD-SSBs within a list of SCells or a frequency band, with index values such as 1, 2, 3, 7, and 15, and each index corresponding to a set of parameters for pre-configuring OD-SSBs. A set of parameters for pre-configuring OD-SSBs may not be limited to a single SCell and can correspond to multiple SCells.

[0058] The aforementioned OD-SSB pre-configuration information may also include at least one of the following: center frequency location, subcarrier spacing, power setting parameters, period information, time domain offset, number of OD-SSB bursts, time domain location information, SCell identification information (i.e., SCell ID), OD-SSB configuration information identification information (i.e., OD-SSB configuration information ID), pre-configuration index information for each OD-SSB, and SMTC window pre-configuration information based on OD-SSB.

[0059] S120: Send OD-SSB configuration information to the second communication node by means of SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated OD-SSB configuration information, dedicated MO configuration, introducing a separate OD-SSB configuration message, or adding OD-SSB SCell add / modify list fields in RRC reconfiguration information.

[0060] The SCell configuration information in this embodiment may include various parameter settings for the SCell, such as the SCell's operating mode, cell ID, carrier frequency, etc. The first communication node can use the SCell configuration information as a means to send OD-SSB configuration information.

[0061] In this embodiment, the frequency band configuration information can be related parameter settings for the frequency band used for communication, such as the frequency band range, center frequency, bandwidth, etc. Because OD-SSB needs to be transmitted and received on a specific frequency band, the frequency band configuration information is the basis for accurately transmitting OD-SSB configuration information. The first communication node can use the frequency band configuration information to determine the relevant settings of OD-SSB configuration information in the frequency domain and transmit them to the second communication node.

[0062] In this embodiment, the dedicated configuration information for the OD-SSB can be configuration parameters specifically for the OD-SSB itself, such as the OD-SSB's transmission period, transmission power, time-domain location, modulation and coding scheme, etc. The first communication node can send the specific parameter requirements for the OD-SSB (i.e., the OD-SSB configuration information) to the second communication node through the dedicated configuration information, so that the second communication node can operate according to these configurations.

[0063] In this embodiment, the dedicated MO configuration can be configuration information for a specific management object. The first communication node can send the management and control parameters (i.e., OD-SSB configuration information) related to OD-SSB to the second communication node through the dedicated MO configuration information to achieve effective management and operation of OD-SSB.

[0064] Figure 3 is a first schematic diagram of information transmission and reception between communication nodes provided in an embodiment of this application. The figure shows that the first communication node sends OD-SSB configuration information to the second communication node through SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated OD-SSB configuration information, dedicated MO configuration, introducing a separate OD-SSB configuration message, or adding an OD-SSB SCell add / modify list field to the RRC reconfiguration information. The configuration information may include basic configuration information and OD-SSB pre-configuration information for MAC CE activation. It should be noted that the information configuration method described above configures the OD-SSB configuration information in the SCell while the terminal side (i.e., the second communication node) is in a connected state.

[0065] Furthermore, to ensure timely determination of the measurement window during OD-SSB dynamic adjustment, in the case of measurement based on the SMTC window, an optional embodiment is that the OD-SSB configuration information (such as basic configuration information or OD-SSB pre-configuration information) includes the correspondence between the OD-SSB configuration information and the OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information. In another optional embodiment, the SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated OD-SSB configuration information, dedicated MO configuration, separate OD-SSB configuration messages, or OD-SSB SCell add / modify list fields may also include the correspondence between the OD-SSB configuration information and the OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information. Therefore, the information configuration method of this application may further include: sending the correspondence to the second communication node by means of SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated OD-SSB configuration information, dedicated MO configuration, introducing separate OD-SSB configuration messages, or adding the OD-SSB SCell add / modify list fields to the RRC reconfiguration information.

[0066] The correspondence can include at least one of the following methods: 1. The association between the index value of all OD-SSB configuration information in a SCell and the corresponding OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information. 2. The association between all OD-SSB configuration information in a SCell list and the corresponding OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information. 3. The association between all OD-SSB configuration information in a frequency band and the corresponding OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information. 4. The association between one SCell OD-SSB configuration information and one SMTC configuration information.

[0067] Specifically, for each OD-SSB configuration information in a SCell, its index value is bound to the pre-configuration information of a corresponding SMTC window. This allows the UE to identify the pre-configured resources of the OD-SSB and the pre-configuration information of the SMTC window through a single index indication. For a list of SCells or all OD-SSB configuration information in a frequency band, a list of pre-configuration information indices for SMTC windows is defined, each corresponding to one another. The index values are, for example, 1, 2, 3, 7, and 15. Each index corresponds to a set of pre-configuration information for the SMTC window used to pre-configure the OD-SSB. A set of parameters for pre-configuring the OD-SSB corresponds to only one SMTC window.

[0068] The configuration information of the SMTC window based on OD-SSB, the pre-configuration information of the SMTC window, or the SMTC window information for pre-configuring resources of OD-SSB shall include at least one of the following: SCell ID, OD-SSB configuration ID information, pre-configuration index information of each OD-SSB, period of the measurement window, offset, time-domain location information of the on-demand synchronization signal block transmitted in an OD-SSB, average effective radiated power (i.e., (Effective Power Radiated Emission, EPRE) in dBm) of the resource elements carrying SSS when the network transmits on-demand synchronization signal blocks, a set of SSBs to be measured during the SMTC measurement duration, a list of physical cell identifiers, and the duration.

[0069] Furthermore, to enable the terminal side (i.e., the second communication node) to promptly and flexibly deactivate unnecessary measurements after activating OD-SSB measurements, in one optional embodiment, the OD-SSB configuration information (such as basic configuration information or OD-SSB pre-configuration information), OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information, or pre-configured SMTC window information includes an OD-SSB measurement deactivation indication. In another optional embodiment, the SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated OD-SSB configuration information, dedicated MO configuration, separate OD-SSB configuration messages, or OD-SSB SCell add / modify list fields may also include OD-SSB status indication information corresponding to the SCell, used to indicate the status of the OD-SSB. The OD-SSB status indication information may include an OD-SSB measurement activation indication or an OD-SSB measurement deactivation indication. Therefore, the information configuration method of this application may further include: sending OD-SSB status indication information to the second communication node through SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated OD-SSB configuration information, dedicated MO configuration, introducing a separate OD-SSB configuration message, or adding the OD-SSB SCell add / modify list field to the RRC reconfiguration information. When the second communication node receives the pre-configured deactivation indication information, it performs relevant operations, such as determining whether to start or stop OD-SSB measurements based on the OD-SSB status indication information.

[0070] Figure 4 is a second schematic diagram of information transmission and reception between communication nodes provided in an embodiment of this application. The figure shows that the first communication node sends the deactivation indication of OD-SSB measurement to the second communication node by means of SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated configuration information of OD-SSB, dedicated MO configuration, introducing a separate OD-SSB configuration message, or adding the OD-SSB SCell add / modify list field in the RRC reconfiguration information.

[0071] The deactivation indication may include at least one of the following: 1. A timer for deactivation: The timer is started when the terminal activates the OD-SSB, and the OD-SSB configuration is deactivated when the timer expires. 2. A time threshold for deactivation: The timer is started when the terminal activates the OD-SSB, and the OD-SSB configuration is deactivated when the timer exceeds the threshold. 3. An indication of whether to deactivate upon receiving a SCell activation indication message. 4. An indication of whether to deactivate after completing SCell activation.

[0072] Furthermore, even when the terminal (i.e., the second communication node) is in a connectionless state (such as RRC-idle and / or RRC-inactive state), OD-SSB measurements may still need to be performed. First, the second communication node indicates its support for connectionless OD-SSB measurements via capability indication information. Therefore, when configuring OD-SSB measurements as described above, the OD-SSB measurement configuration for connectionless states also needs to be pre-configured for the second communication node, enabling it to perform relevant measurements when entering a connectionless state.

[0073] In one embodiment, the second communication node supports OD-SSB measurements in a connectionless state. The information configuration method of this application further includes one of the following: 1. When configuring OD-SSB configuration information in a connected state, sending first indication information to the second communication node, the first indication information indicating that the OD-SSB configuration information is applicable to the connectionless state. 2. When configuring OD-SSB configuration information in a connected state, sending OD-SSB configuration information for the connectionless state to the second communication node, denoted as first configuration information. 3. When configuring OD-SSB configuration information in a connected state, sending a dedicated message to the second communication node, the dedicated message including the first configuration information for OD-SSB in the connectionless state. The information included in the first configuration information is as described above for the OD-SSB configuration information applied to the connected state, and will not be repeated here. When the second communication node receives the OD-SSB configuration information for the connectionless state, it stores the relevant configuration information and performs related measurements based on the configuration information when entering the connectionless state.

[0074] Figure 5 is a third schematic diagram of information transmission and reception between communication nodes provided in the embodiment of this application. The figure shows that the first communication node sends non-connected OD-SSB configuration information to the second communication node by means of SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated OD-SSB configuration information, dedicated MO configuration, introducing a separate OD-SSB configuration message, or adding the OD-SSB SCell add / modify list field in the RRC reconfiguration information.

[0075] When the terminal (i.e., the second communication node) is in a connected state, after receiving the OD-SSB configuration information configured by the base station (i.e., the first communication node), the second communication node's behavior includes at least one of the following: 1. Upon receiving configuration information to activate OD-SSB, the second communication node performs relevant measurements based on the configuration and stores the relevant configuration information. 2. Upon receiving configuration information to deactivate OD-SSB, the second communication node stores the relevant configuration information and waits for the base station to activate it via MAC CE. 3. Upon receiving pre-configuration information regarding OD-SSB and / or SMTC, the UE stores the relevant pre-configuration information and waits for the base station to activate it via MAC CE.

[0076] In one embodiment, the information configuration method of this application may further include: sending MAC CE indication information to a second communication node, wherein the MAC CE indication information is used to indicate the activation and / or deactivation of SCell OD-SSB measurement and / or corresponding SMTC configuration.

[0077] The first communication node can send a predefined MAC CE format to the second communication node by using the Logical Channel Identifier (LCID) reserved in the Downlink Shared Channel (DLSCH).

[0078] In one embodiment, the indication information of the MAC CE can be represented in at least one of the following ways: an 8-bit fixed format, a 32-bit fixed format, an 8-bit fixed format and extended bits, a 32-bit fixed format and extended bits, and no fixed format.

[0079] The following describes a predefined MAC CE in a fixed format of 8-bit or 32-bit:

[0080] When the first communication node sends indication information to the second communication node via an 8-bit or 32-bit fixed-format MAC CE, the indication information of the MAC CE may include at least one of the following: 1. Capable of simultaneously indicating the activation and deactivation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration for each SCell. 2. Capable of only indicating the activation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration for each SCell. 3. Capable of only indicating the deactivation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration for each SCell.

[0081] The second communication node can determine the MAC CE indication information using a predetermined LCID or reserved bits. For example, different LCID values can be set to distinguish different types of predefined MAC CE indication information. Alternatively, a reserved bit set to 0 indicates support for OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration activation and deactivation for each SCell, while a reserved bit set to 1 indicates support for only OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration deactivation for each SCell.

[0082] Figure 6a shows a schematic diagram of indication information for a MAC CE with a fixed 8-bit format, indicating the measurement status of OD-SSB on up to 7 SCells; Figure 6b shows a schematic diagram of indication information for a MAC CE with a fixed 32-bit format, indicating the measurement status of OD-SSB on up to 31 SCells. In a predefined MAC CE capable of simultaneously indicating OD-SSB activation and deactivation for each SCell, the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration status of each SCell uses 0 and 1 to represent different OD-SSB measurement states. For example, Ci set to 0 indicates deactivation, and set to 1 indicates activation, where Ci represents the i-th SCell. In a predefined MAC CE capable of only indicating OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration activation for each SCell, the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration status of each SCell uses 0 or 1 to represent the activated OD-SSB measurement state. For example, Ci set to 0 indicates activation, or set to 1 indicates activation. In a predefined MAC CE that can only instruct the deactivation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration for each SCell, the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration status of each SCell is represented by 0 or 1 to indicate the deactivated OD-SSB measurement status. For example, Ci is set to 0 to indicate deactivation, or set to 1 to indicate deactivation. In one embodiment, for a predefined MAC CE with a fixed format, the following design method can also be used:

[0083] Method 1, for cases 1 and 2, provides a set of OD-SSB configuration information and / or corresponding SMTC configuration information through RRC, and activates the OD-SSB of the corresponding SCell through MAC CE. That is, the configuration information takes effect after the OD-SSB of the corresponding SCell is activated by MAC CE.

[0084] The predefined MAC CE indicates the measurement status of OD-SSB on a maximum of 7 or 31 SCells. The OD-SSB status of each SCell is represented by 0 and 1, indicating different OD-SSB measurement states. For example, Ci set to 0 indicates deactivation, and set to 1 indicates activation. When the terminal receives the above predefined MAC CE, the terminal's behavior includes at least one of the following: 1. In case 1, the terminal receives the activation of the OD-SSB configuration and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration and performs related measurements; the terminal receives the deactivation of the OD-SSB configuration and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration and stops related measurements; 2. In case 2, the terminal receives the activation of the OD-SSB configuration and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration and performs related measurements; the terminal receives the deactivation of the OD-SSB configuration and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration and stops related measurements. During this process, the AO-SSB configuration and measurement are not affected; that is, after the OD-SSB configuration is activated, both AO-SSB and OD-SSB are effective, and the terminal measures both AO-SSB and OD-SSB. 3. In scenario 2, the terminal receives the activation of the OD-SSB configuration and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration and performs related measurements; the terminal receives the deactivation of the OD-SSB configuration and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration and stops related measurements. After receiving the activation of the OD-SSB configuration, the terminal switches from the AO-SSB configuration to the OD-SSB configuration, meaning that the AO-SSB configuration is no longer effective after the OD-SSB configuration is activated, and the terminal only measures the OD-SSB; after receiving the deactivation, the terminal switches from the OD-SSB configuration to the AO-SSB configuration, meaning that the OD-SSB configuration is no longer effective, and the terminal only measures the AO-SSB.

[0085] Method 2, for cases 1 and 2, provides two sets of OD-SSB configuration information and / or corresponding SMTC configuration information through RRC signaling, one set as the default configuration before activation, and the other set as the OD-SSB pre-configuration information after activation.

[0086] The predefined MAC CE indicates the measurement status of OD-SSB pre-configuration on a maximum of 7 or 31 SCells. The OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration status for each SCell is represented by 0 and 1, indicating different OD-SSB measurement statuses. For example, Ci set to 0 indicates deactivation of all OD-SSB configurations, and set to 1 indicates activation of OD-SSB pre-configuration. When the terminal receives the above predefined MAC CE, the terminal's behavior includes at least one of the following: 1. If the previous OD-SSB default configuration is active, the terminal instructs the activation of pre-configuration information and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration to override the default configuration information via MAC CE; or the terminal instructs the activation of the OD-SSB default configuration information via MAC CE. This process does not affect AO-SSB configuration and measurement; that is, after OD-SSB configuration is activated, both AO-SSB and OD-SSB are effective, and the terminal measures both AO-SSB and OD-SSB. 2. If the previous OD-SSB default configuration is active, the MAC CE instructs the activation of the pre-configuration information and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration to override the default configuration information, or the MAC CE instructs the deactivation of the OD-SSB default configuration information. After receiving the activation instruction for the OD-SSB configuration, the terminal switches from the AO-SSB configuration to the OD-SSB configuration. That is, after OD-SSB configuration activation, the AO-SSB configuration no longer takes effect, and the terminal only measures OD-SSB. After receiving the deactivation instruction, the terminal switches from the OD-SSB configuration to the AO-SSB configuration. That is, the OD-SSB configuration no longer takes effect, and the terminal only measures AO-SSB. 3. If the previous OD-SSB default configuration is deactivated, then the MAC CE activates the OD-SSB pre-configuration information and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration. This process does not affect the AO-SSB configuration and measurement. That is, after OD-SSB configuration activation, both AO-SSB and OD-SSB take effect, and the terminal measures both AO-SSB and OD-SSB. 4. If the previous OD-SSB default configuration was in a deactivated state, then the OD-SSB pre-configuration information and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration are activated according to the MAC CE. After receiving the activated OD-SSB configuration, the terminal switches from the AO-SSB configuration to the OD-SSB configuration, meaning that after the OD-SSB configuration is activated, the AO-SSB configuration no longer takes effect, and the terminal only measures the OD-SSB. After receiving the deactivated configuration, the terminal switches from the OD-SSB configuration to the AO-SSB configuration, meaning that the OD-SSB configuration no longer takes effect, and the terminal only measures the AO-SSB. 5. If the OD-SSB pre-configuration information is in an activated state, then the MAC CE instructs the deactivation of the OD-SSB pre-configuration information and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration.

[0087] The following describes a fixed 8-bit or 32-bit format and a predefined MAC CE with extended bits:

[0088] When the first communication node sends indication information to the second communication node via a MAC CE with a fixed format of 8 bits or 32 bits and extended bits, the indication information of the MAC CE can be at least one of the following: 1. Capable of simultaneously indicating the activation and deactivation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration of each SCell. 2. Capable of only indicating the activation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration of each SCell. 3. Capable of only indicating the deactivation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration of each SCell.

[0089] The second communication node can identify the indication information of the MAC CE by using a predetermined LCID or by determining whether the MAC CE contains extended bits. For example, different LCID values can be set to represent predefined MAC CE indication information. Another example is using the same predefined LCID, but indicating whether activation is only supported by indicating the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration of each SCell based on whether the MAC CE contains optional extended bits. That is, if the predefined MAC CE does not contain extended bits, then the MAC CE is only used for deactivation indication; if the predefined MAC CE contains extended bits, then the MAC CE may only support activation indication, or simultaneously support both activation and deactivation indication.

[0090] For a predefined MAC CE that supports any of the following indication functions: it can simultaneously indicate the activation and deactivation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration for each SCell; it can only indicate the activation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration for each SCell; or it can only indicate the deactivation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration for each SCell, Figure 7a shows a schematic diagram of indication information for a MAC CE containing a fixed format of 8 bits and extended bits, indicating the measurement status of the OD-SSB on up to 7 SCells, and Figure 7b shows a schematic diagram of indication information for a MAC CE containing a fixed format of 32 bits and extended bits, indicating the measurement status of the OD-SSB on up to 31 SCells.

[0091] In a predefined MAC CE that simultaneously indicates the activation and deactivation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration for each SCell, the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration status for each SCell uses 0 and 1 to represent different OD-SSB measurement states; for example, Ci set to 0 indicates deactivation, and set to 1 indicates activation. In a predefined MAC CE that can only indicate the activation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration for each SCell, the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration status for each SCell uses 0 or 1 to represent the activation state of the OD-SSB measurement. In a predefined MAC CE that can only indicate the deactivation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration for each SCell, the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration status for each SCell uses 0 or 1 to represent the deactivated OD-SSB measurement state; for example, Ci set to 0 indicates deactivation, or set to 1 indicates deactivation. This MAC CE does not contain extended bits.

[0092] The extended bit may include at least one of the following information: the pre-configured SCell index number, the SCell identification information, the time domain offset, the time domain location information, the identification information of the OD-SSB configuration information, the period information, and the number of OD-SSB bursts.

[0093] In one embodiment, in the case of a MAC CE format where the extended bits include a pre-configured SCell index number or the identifier information of OD-SSB configuration information (i.e., OD-SSB configuration information ID), the number of bits occupied by the extended bits depends on the maximum value of the index number or ID number; that is, the number of bits in the extended bits can be 1 bit, 2 bits, 3 bits, or 4 bits, respectively. Figures 7a and 7b illustrate a MAC CE format where the extended bits occupy 2 bits to carry the index number.

[0094] In Figures 7a and 7b, the above format also applies when the index number is replaced with the OD-SSB configuration information ID. The position of each index number or OD-SSB configuration information ID is fixed; that is, the index number (or OD-SSB configuration information ID) is associated with Ci. For example, index i (or OD-SSB configuration information ID value i) corresponds to Ci and is used to indicate the measurement status and pre-configured parameters of the OD-SSB for the i-th SCell.

[0095] Furthermore, the position of each index number or OD-SSB configuration information ID is not fixed in the MAC CE format, that is: only the index number (or OD-SSB configuration information ID) is indicated for the SCell that needs to be activated. The extended bits of the predefined MAC CE need to contain SCell ID information (or information of i in Ci) and index number (or OD-SSB configuration information ID); Figures 8a and 8b show the MAC CE format in which the extended bits occupy 2 bits to carry the index number and 3 (5) bits to carry the SCell ID information. Among them, the position of each index number or OD-SSB configuration information ID is not fixed, that is, the index number (or OD-SSB configuration information ID) and Ci are associated through the SCell ID value. For example, the index number or OD-SSB configuration information ID value corresponding to the SCell ID information i (or information identifying i in Ci) corresponds to Ci and is used to indicate the measurement status of the OD-SSB of the i-th SCell and the pre-configured related parameters.

[0096] In one embodiment, in the case of a MAC CE format where the extended bits include periodic information, the number of bits occupied by the extended bits depends on the number of periods supported in the periodic information; that is, the number of bits in the extended bits can be 3 bits or 4 bits. Figures 9a and 9b illustrate a MAC CE format where the extended bits occupy 3 bits to carry periodic information. The position of each periodic information is fixed, meaning the periodic information number is associated with Ci. For example, periodic information i corresponds to Ci and is used to indicate the measurement status and periodic information of the OD-SSB of the i-th SCell.

[0097] Furthermore, the position of each cycle information in the MAC CE format is not fixed; that is, the cycle information is only indicated for the SCell that needs to be activated. The extended bits of the predefined MAC CE need to contain SCell ID information (or the information of i in Ci) and cycle information; Figures 10a and 10b show the MAC CE format in which 3 bits of the extended bits carry cycle information and 3 (5) bits carry SCell ID information. Among them, the position of each cycle information is not fixed, that is, the cycle information and Ci are associated through the SCell ID value. For example, the cycle information corresponding to SCell ID information i (or the information identifying i in Ci) corresponds to Ci and is used to indicate the measurement status and cycle information of the OD-SSB of the i-th SCell.

[0098] In one embodiment, in a MAC CE format where the extended bits include periodic information and the number of OD-SSB bursts, the number of bits occupied by the extended bits depends on the number of periods and the number of OD-SSB bursts supported in the periodic information; that is, the number of bits in the extended bits is a combination of periodic information (3 bits or 4 bits) and OD-SSB burst count information (2 bits, 3 bits, 4 bits, 5 bits). Figures 11a and 11b show a MAC CE format where the extended bits occupy 3 bits to carry periodic information and 4 bits to carry OD-SSB burst count information. The positions of each periodic information and burst count information are fixed; that is, the periodic information number and burst count information number are associated with Ci. For example, periodic information i and burst count information i correspond to Ci, used to indicate the OD-SSB measurement status, periodic information, and burst count information of the i-th SCell.

[0099] The following describes a predefined MAC CE without a fixed format:

[0100] When the first communication node sends indication information to the second communication node via a MAC CE without a fixed format, the indication information of the MAC CE can be at least one of the following: 1.

[0101] The second communication node can determine the MAC CE indication information using a predetermined LCID or reserved bits. For example, different LCID values can be set to represent predefined MAC CE indication capabilities. Alternatively, a reserved bit set to 0 indicates support for OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration activation and deactivation for each SCell, while a reserved bit set to 1 indicates support for OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration deactivation for each SCell.

[0102] As shown in Figures 12a to 12d, the predefined MAC CE, which indicates the activation and / or deactivation of the OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration for each SCell, uses a fixed-length 8-bit or 16-bit representation to indicate the OD-SSB-related information for each SCell. The predefined MAC CE may include at least one of the following information: a pre-configured index number, a pre-configured OD-SSB configuration information ID, periodic information, the number of OD-SSB bursts, activation status, and deactivation status.

[0103] In one embodiment, when a predefined MAC CE contains a pre-configured index number or a pre-configured OD-SSB configuration information ID, the position of each index number or OD-SSB configuration information ID is not fixed in the MAC CE format. That is, it only indicates the index number (or OD-SSB configuration information ID) of the SCell that needs to be activated or deactivated. The predefined MAC CE needs to contain SCell ID information, index number (or OD-SSB configuration information ID), and status information, which may occupy 8 bits or 16 bits. Figures 12a and 12b show the case of occupying 8 bits, in which 2 bits are used to carry the index number, 3 (5) bits are used to carry the SCell ID information, and 1 bit is used to carry the status information in the MAC CE format.

[0104] The location of each index number or OD-SSB configuration ID is in a non-fixed MAC CE format. For example, the index number (or OD-SSB configuration ID value i) contained in SCell ID information i corresponds to Ci, and is used to indicate the measurement status and pre-configured parameters of the OD-SSB in the i-th SCell. In the figure, the reference numeral C indicates the activation and / or deactivation status of the OD-SSB.

[0105] In one embodiment, when the predefined MAC CE includes periodic information, the position of the periodic information is not fixed in the MAC CE format; that is, the periodic information is only indicated for SCells that need to be activated or deactivated. The predefined MAC CE needs to include SCell ID information, periodic information, and status information, which may occupy 8 bits or 16 bits. Figure 12c shows the 8-bit case, where 3 bits are used to carry periodic information, 4 bits are used to carry SCell ID information, and 1 bit is used to carry status information. Figure 12d shows the 16-bit case, where 4 bits are used to carry periodic information, 5 bits are used to carry SCell ID information, and 1 bit is used to carry status information.

[0106] For MAC CE formats where the periodic information location is not fixed, such as SCell ID information i, its corresponding status identifier C and periodic information are used to indicate the measurement status of the OD-SSB of the i-th SCell cell and the pre-configured periodic information. The status identifier C is used to indicate the activation and / or deactivation status of the OD-SSB.

[0107] The following describes a predefined MAC CE function for OD-SSB:

[0108] In one embodiment, the MAC CE for OD-SSB includes at least one of the following functions: activating OD-SSB status, modifying and activating OD-SSB configuration, and adding and activating OD-SSB configuration.

[0109] In one embodiment, configuration information of the SCell OD-SSB and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration information is provided via RRC signaling, and the OD-SSB is activated via MAC CE. This method includes at least one of the following: 1. For case 1, OD-SSB configuration information and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration information are provided via RRC, and the OD-SSB of the corresponding SCell is activated via MAC CE. That is, the configuration information takes effect after the corresponding SCell OD-SSB is activated by MAC CE. 2. For case 2, multiple sets of OD-SSB configuration information and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration information are provided via RRC signaling, one set serving as the default configuration before activation, and the remaining one or more sets serving as the OD-SSB configuration information after activation. Specifically, the RRC signaling configures two sets of OD-SSB and / or the corresponding SMTC, one set serving as the default configuration before activation, and MAC CE activates the other set of OD-SSB configuration and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration. That is, the second set of configuration takes effect after the corresponding SCell OD-SSB is activated by MAC CE. If RRC signaling configures two or more OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configurations, one of which serves as the default configuration before activation, the MAC CE indicates which OD-SSB configuration and / or corresponding SMTC configuration (e.g., the index of the OD-SSB configuration and / or corresponding SMTC configuration) to activate. The indicated OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration takes effect after the MAC CE activates the corresponding SCell OD-SSB. For example, if two OD-SSB configurations and / or corresponding SMTC configurations are configured, with the first set as the default configuration, the MAC CE activates the corresponding SCell OD-SSB and / or corresponding SMTC configuration and indicates whether to activate the second or third OD-SSB configuration.

[0110] In one embodiment, the configuration information of the SCell OD-SSB and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration information is provided via RRC signaling, and the OD-SSB configuration is modified via MAC CE. For scenario 2, RRC signaling provides the configuration information of the SCell OD-SSB and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration information, and MAC CE provides the updated OD-SSB configuration and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration information, such as the period.

[0111] In one embodiment, SCell OD-SSB configuration information and / or partial information of the corresponding SMTC configuration (such as information other than the period) are provided through RRC signaling. The MAC CE supplements the SCell OD-SSB configuration information and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration information (such as period information), and the whole system takes effect after the MAC CE activates the OD-SSB and / or the corresponding SMTC configuration of the corresponding SCell.

[0112] Figure 13 is a second flowchart illustrating an information configuration method provided in an embodiment of this application. As shown in Figure 13, the method provided in this embodiment is applicable to a second communication node (also referred to as a second communication node device, a second node, or a second device). The method includes the following steps.

[0113] S210, Receive at least one OD-SSB configuration information sent by the first communication node via SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated OD-SSB configuration information, dedicated MO configuration, introducing a separate OD-SSB configuration message, or adding an OD-SSB SCell add / modify list field in the RRC reconfiguration information.

[0114] In this embodiment, the first communication node generates at least one OD-SSB configuration information for the SCell of the second communication node, and sends the OD-SSB configuration information to the second communication node by means of SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated OD-SSB configuration information, dedicated MO configuration, introducing a separate OD-SSB configuration message, or adding an OD-SSB SCell add / modify list field to the RRC reconfiguration information. The second communication node receives at least one OD-SSB configuration information sent by the first communication node.

[0115] In one embodiment, the OD-SSB configuration information includes basic configuration information, which is the configuration information used by the OD-SSB when it is not activated by the Media Access Control-Control Unit (MAC CE). It should be noted that when there is only one OD-SSB configuration information, that OD-SSB configuration information is the basic configuration information.

[0116] Furthermore, to ensure dynamic adjustment of OD-SSB configuration, in one embodiment, when the number of OD-SSB configuration information is greater than one, the OD-SSB configuration information also includes OD-SSB pre-configuration information for MAC CE activation.

[0117] The aforementioned OD-SSB pre-configuration information may also include at least one of the following: center frequency location, subcarrier spacing, power setting parameters, period information, time domain offset, number of OD-SSB bursts, time domain location information, SCell identification information (i.e., SCell ID), OD-SSB configuration information identification information (i.e., OD-SSB configuration information ID), pre-configuration index information for each OD-SSB, and OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information.

[0118] Furthermore, to ensure timely determination of the measurement window under dynamic OD-SSB adjustment, in an optional embodiment where measurements are performed based on the SMTC window, the OD-SSB configuration information (such as basic configuration information or OD-SSB pre-configuration information) includes the correspondence between the OD-SSB configuration information and the OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information. Therefore, the information configuration method of this application may further include: the second communication node receiving the correspondence sent by the first communication node via SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated OD-SSB configuration information, dedicated MO configuration, introducing separate OD-SSB configuration messages, or adding the OD-SSB SCell add / modify list fields to the RRC reconfiguration information.

[0119] The correspondence can include at least one of the following methods: 1. The association between the index values of all OD-SSB configuration information in a SCell and the corresponding OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information. 2. The association between all OD-SSB configuration information in a SCell list and the corresponding OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information. 3. The association between all OD-SSB configuration information in a frequency band and the corresponding OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information. 4. The association between configuring one or two OD-SSB pre-configuration information for a SCell.

[0120] Furthermore, to enable the terminal side (i.e., the second communication node) to promptly and flexibly deactivate unnecessary measurements after activating OD-SSB measurements, in one optional embodiment, the OD-SSB configuration information (such as basic configuration information or OD-SSB pre-configuration information), OD-SSB-based SMTC window pre-configuration information, or pre-configured SMTC window information includes an OD-SSB measurement deactivation indication. Therefore, the information configuration method of this application may further include: the second communication node receiving OD-SSB status indication information sent by the first communication node through SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated configuration information of OD-SSB, dedicated MO configuration, introducing a separate OD-SSB configuration message, or adding the OD-SSB SCell add / modify list field in the RRC reconfiguration information; and activating or deactivating OD-SSB measurement based on the OD-SSB status indication information.

[0121] The deactivation indication may include at least one of the following: 1.

[0122] Furthermore, even when the terminal (i.e., the second communication node) is in a connectionless state (such as RRC-idle and / or RRC-inactive state), OD-SSB measurements may still need to be performed.

[0123] In one embodiment, the second communication node supports OD-SSB measurement in a connectionless state. The information configuration method of this application further includes one of the following: 1. The second communication node receives first indication information sent by the first communication node, and performs OD-SSB measurement on the SCell based on the OD-SSB configuration information when the second communication node is in a connectionless state. The first indication information is used to indicate that the OD-SSB configuration information is applicable to the connectionless state. 2. The second communication node receives first configuration information for OD-SSB in the connectionless state sent by the first communication node, and performs OD-SSB measurement on the SCell based on the first configuration information when the second communication node is in a connectionless state. 3. The second communication node receives a dedicated message sent by the first communication node, and performs OD-SSB measurement on the SCell based on the dedicated message when the second communication node is in a connectionless state. The dedicated message includes the first configuration information for OD-SSB in the connectionless state. The information included in the first configuration information is the same as the OD-SSB configuration information applied to the connected state described above, and will not be repeated here.

[0124] In one embodiment, the information configuration method of this application may further include: a second communication node receiving indication information of MAC CE sent by a first communication node, the indication information of MAC CE being used to indicate the activation and / or deactivation of OD-SSB measurement and / or corresponding SMTC configuration of SCell; the second communication node activating and / or deactivating OD-SSB measurement and / or corresponding SMTC configuration of SCell based on the indication information of MAC CE.

[0125] The indication information of MAC CE can be represented in at least one of the following ways: an 8-bit fixed format, a 32-bit fixed format, an 8-bit fixed format and extended bits, a 32-bit fixed format and extended bits, and no fixed format.

[0126] The extended bits include at least one of the following: pre-configured SCell index number, SCell identification information, time-domain offset, time-domain location information, OD-SSB configuration information identification information, periodic information, and OD-SSB burst count.

[0127] The details of a predefined MAC CE with a fixed format of 8 bits or 32 bits, a predefined MAC CE with a fixed format of 8 bits or 32 bits and extended bits, and a predefined MAC CE without a fixed format have been described in the above embodiments and will not be repeated here.

[0128] S220. Perform OD-SSB measurement on SCell based on OD-SSB configuration information.

[0129] In this embodiment, the second communication node performs a series of measurements on the OD-SSB signal on the SCell based on the received OD-SSB configuration information. These measurements may include parameters such as OD-SSB signal strength (e.g., received signal strength indication), signal quality (e.g., signal-to-noise ratio), and synchronization accuracy. By measuring these parameters, the second communication node can evaluate the communication quality of the SCell, determine the optimal signal reception method, and make subsequent radio resource management decisions (e.g., whether to switch to another cell, adjust transmission parameters, etc.), thereby ensuring the stability and efficiency of communication. In the communication system, the second communication node uses the OD-SSB configuration information to measure the OD-SSB signal on the SCell it manages or uses, which can achieve better communication performance and resource management.

[0130] Figure 14 is a first structural schematic diagram of an information configuration device provided in an embodiment of this application. This device can be configured in a first communication node. As shown in Figure 14, the device 300 includes:

[0131] Information generation module 310 can be used to generate at least one OD-SSB configuration information for the SCell of the second communication node;

[0132] The information sending module 320 can be used to send the OD-SSB configuration information to the second communication node by means of SCell configuration information, frequency band configuration information, dedicated configuration information of OD-SSB, dedicated MO configuration, introducing a separate OD-SSB configuration message, or adding OD-SSB SCell add / modify list field in RRC reconfiguration information.
