[0050] It is understood that the data involved in this technical solution (including but not limited to the data itself, the acquisition or use of the data) shall comply with the requirements of relevant laws, regulations and related provisions.

[0051] As mentioned above, with the development of computer technology, users can generate special effects images from images to be edited using image editing applications. Special effects images are static images with preset effects information applied to the image to be edited. Compared to static images, dynamic videos can provide a richer visual experience. However, image editing applications in related technologies do not have video generation capabilities, resulting in a poor user experience.

[0052] Figure 1 is a schematic flowchart of a media content generation method provided in an embodiment of this disclosure. This embodiment is applicable to media content editing scenarios, such as special effects image generation or special effects video generation scenarios. The method is applied to a first application. The first application represents a client with image editing capabilities. For example, the client includes a web client, an application client, or a mini-program client. The method can be executed by a media content generation device, which can be implemented in software and / or hardware, optionally through an electronic device, such as a mobile terminal, a PC, or a server.

[0053] As shown in Figure 1, the method includes:

[0054] S110. Display first media content and first control on the first page, wherein the first media content is a special effects image generated by applying a target image template to the media content to be edited.

[0055] The first page can be a preview page for the first application. It displays the special effects image generated by applying the target image template to the image to be edited. The target image template is a selected special effects template associated with the first application. A special effects template refers to a template with special effects. For example, special effects may include one or more of the following: comic book style, clay style, graffiti style, picture book style, or traditional Chinese style. Special effects templates can be stored in a preset template library.

[0056] The media content to be edited represents the media content to be edited. Media content includes images and / or video frames. The media content to be edited can be obtained from a local photo album. Alternatively, it can be obtained by taking a photo. Alternatively, it can be obtained based on images and / or videos sent by other users. Alternatively, images and / or videos can be downloaded from the internet as media content to be edited.

[0057] The special effects image has a similar effect to the target image template. For example, the media content to be edited and the target image template are input into a pre-trained image generation model. Based on the image generation model, the model learns the special effects of the target image template and generates a first media content with a similar effect to the target image template.

[0058] The first control is used to trigger the video generation recommendation event. If the video generation recommendation event is triggered, the target video template associated with the target image template will be displayed. Using the target video template as the entry point for the second application provides a convenient way to switch between applications, allowing users to quickly enter the second application and generate special effects videos through it.

[0059] Since the first page represents a preview page for the first application, it can include a preview area and a control display area. The preview area displays the first media content, while the control display area displays the controls for the first application.

[0060] For example, displaying the first media content and the first control on the first page includes:

[0061] The first media content is displayed in the preview area of the first page, and the first control is displayed in the location associated with the first media content.

[0062] This embodiment of the disclosure displays the first control in a prominent position within the preview area, which is associated with the first media content. This makes it easier for users to see the first control intuitively, improves the user experience, and increases the conversion rate of the video generation function.

[0063] Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of a first page provided in an embodiment of this disclosure. As shown in Figure 2, first media content is displayed in the preview area 220 of the first page 210. A first control 230 is displayed at the bottom of the first media content. A preset reminder text is displayed on the first control 230. The preset reminder text may be a prompt text associated with the video generation operation.

[0064] Optionally, displaying the first media content and the first control on the first page includes:

[0065] The first media content is displayed in the preview area of the first page, and the first control is displayed in the control display area of the first page, wherein the preview area and the control display area are different areas of the first page.

[0066] This embodiment of the disclosure can ensure the integrity of the preview of the first media content by displaying the first control in the control display area, and avoid the first control from obscuring part of the first media content and affecting the display effect of the first media content.

[0067] Figure 3 is a schematic diagram of another first page provided in an embodiment of this disclosure. As shown in Figure 3, the first media content is displayed in the preview area 320 of the first page 310. A drop-down list control 340 is displayed in the control display area 330 at the top of the first page 310. The drop-down list control 340 includes a first control 350.

[0068] S120. In response to the triggering operation of the first control, a second page is displayed, in which the media content set associated with the first media content and the target video template are displayed, wherein the target video template represents the video of the target object in the target image template.

[0069] The media content set represents a collection of multiple media content connection results obtained by connecting the first media content and the media content to be edited using different dynamic effects. For example, dynamic effects may include preset transition effects. By adding preset transition effects between the first media content and the media content to be edited, a media content connection result is obtained. Different preset transition effects correspond to different media content connection results.

[0070] The second page displays a set of media content associated with the first media content, and a target video template corresponding to the target image template. The target object in the target image template is in a static state. The target video template represents a dynamic video effect of the target object in the target image template. At least one image effect template in the first application has a corresponding video effect template. At least one image effect template includes the target image template. The video effect template includes the target video template corresponding to the target image template. For example, the server obtains at least one image effect template within the first application. For example, based on at least one of the following: usage, comments, favorites, etc., at least one image effect template is selected from the image effect templates associated with the first application. For any image effect template among the at least one image effect templates, the cover image of the current image effect template is used as the first frame image. The first frame image is input into a pre-trained video generation model, and the video generation model performs video generation processing based on the first frame image to generate the video effect template corresponding to the current image effect template. The video generation model can be a video generation model associated with the second application. That is, the video effect template corresponding to the current effect template is generated based on the first frame image by the video generation model associated with the second application. Video effect templates are stored in a preset effect template library within the second application. The video generation model associated with the second application can be a generation model configured on the server side of the second application and / or a generation model built into the client side of the second application. The template information for each video effect template includes at least one of the following: template image, descriptive text, and generation model information. The preset effect template library is used to store video effect templates associated with the second application.

[0071] In some embodiments, after generating a video effect template corresponding to the current image effect template, the current image effect template and the video effect template are associated, and the video effect template is stored in a preset template material library in the first application. The preset template material library includes image effect templates and corresponding video effect templates. Alternatively, the preset template material library includes corresponding video effect templates for image effect templates, as well as the association between the template identifier of the image effect template and the video effect template.

[0072] For example, in response to the triggering operation of the first control, a second page is displayed, showing the media content set associated with the first media content and the target video template, including:

[0073] In response to the triggering operation of the first control, the target video template is retrieved from the preset template material library based on the target image template, and the media content set is obtained. The second page is then displayed, showing the media content set and the target video template.

[0074] For example, in response to a trigger operation of the first control, a set of media content generated by connecting the first media content and the media content to be edited with different dynamic effects is obtained. Also, based on the template identifier of the target video template corresponding to the target image template, the target video template is obtained from a preset template material library. Alternatively, the preset template material library is traversed based on the target image template to obtain the target video template corresponding to the target image template.

[0075] Figure 4 is a schematic diagram of a second page provided in an embodiment of this disclosure. As shown in Figure 4, a first media content 420 and a first control 430 are displayed on a first page 410. In response to a triggering operation of the first control 430, a second page 440 is displayed. The second page 440 displays a collection of media content associated with the first media content 420. The collection of media content includes multiple media content connection results 450 and a target video template 460.

[0076] Optionally, in response to a triggering operation on the media content set, the resulting media content connection is determined. The dynamic effects of this connection are then displayed on a second page. For example, a first media content connected via a preset transition effect and the media content to be edited are shown.

[0077] S130. In response to the triggering operation of the target video template, generate second media content based on the first media content and the target video template, wherein the second media content is a special effects video generated by applying the target video template to the first media content.

[0078] For example, in response to a triggering operation of the target video template, the first media content and the target video template are input into the video generation model, and the second media content is output through the video generation model. The special effects of the second media content are similar to those of the target video template, and the target object in the second media content is the same as that in the first media content.

[0079] Optionally, the step of generating second media content based on the first media content and the target video template in response to the triggering operation of the target video template includes:

[0080] In response to a triggering operation of the target video template, the selected state of the target video template and a second control are displayed on the second page. In response to a triggering operation of the second control, the first media content and the template identifier of the target video template are sent to the second application to launch the second application, which then generates second media content based on the first media content and the target video template.

[0081] The second application represents a client with video generation capabilities. Based on the first media content, the second application generates second media content with similar special effects to the target video template. The first application sends the template identifier of the first media content and the target video template to the second application, triggering the second application's launch event to start the second application and convert the first application into a background application, thus enabling switching from the first application to the second application.

[0082] In some embodiments, if the second application is not installed on the electronic device, in response to the launch event of the second application, a list of candidate applications from the app store is displayed. In response to a trigger operation from the candidate application list, the second application is downloaded and installed. After the second application is installed, in response to a login operation of the second application, a preset page from the second application is displayed. This preset page may be a third page.

[0083] In other embodiments, if a second application is already installed on the electronic device, a preset page in the second application is displayed in response to the launch event of the second application.

[0084] Optionally, displaying the selected state of the target video template on the second page includes: playing the target video template on the second page.

[0085] In this embodiment, the video cover of the target video template is displayed on the second page before the target video template is triggered, which can reduce the consumption of rendering resources and improve rendering efficiency. The target video template is only displayed and played after the target video template is triggered to showcase its dynamic effects.

[0086] For example, the second page displays a static target video template, static media content link results, and a preset publishing control. After clicking the target video template, the second page displays the selected state of the target video template and a second control. The selected state includes the target video template's border displaying a preset effect and the target video template being in a playback state. During playback, the target object within the target video template displays dynamic effects. The second control represents the entry point for the second application. In response to the triggering operation of the second control, the first media content and the template identifier of the target video template are sent to the second application, launching the second application to generate second media content based on the first media content and the target video template.

[0087] Optionally, the cover image of the target video template can be dynamically preprocessed to make the target object present a dynamic effect during the playback of the template video template, which can reduce the occupation of rendering resources and reduce the performance consumption of the image processor.

[0088] Figure 5 is a schematic diagram of another second page provided in an embodiment of this disclosure. As shown in Figure 5, the second page 510 displays a target video template 520, a media content connection result 530, and a preset publishing control 540. In response to the triggering operation of the target video template 520, the target video template 520 is played, and the second control 550 is displayed on the second page 510 to display the dynamic effect of the target object 560 in the target video template on the second page 510.

[0089] In this embodiment of the technical solution, a first application displays a second page by triggering a first control on a first page. The second page displays a collection of media content associated with the first media content and a target video template. In response to a triggering operation on the target video template, second media content is generated based on the first media content and the target video template. The second media content is a special effects video generated by applying the target video template to the first media content. Since the first media content is a special effects image generated by applying a target image template to the media content to be edited, and the second media content is a special effects video generated by applying the target video template to the first media content, it is possible to generate a special effects video of the first application's special effects image through the collaborative processing of different types of image processing functions. This optimizes the media content generation scheme and improves the user experience.

[0090] Figure 6 is a flowchart illustrating another media content generation method provided in this embodiment. Based on the above embodiments, this embodiment specifically defines a second page to be displayed in response to the triggering operation of the first control, wherein the media content set associated with the first media content and the target video template are displayed on the second page.

[0091] As shown in Figure 6, the method includes:

[0092] S610. Display a set of candidate image templates on the editing page or template page, wherein the candidate image templates in the set of candidate image templates include special effects information, and the set of candidate image templates includes the target image template.

[0093] In some embodiments, a content loading entry is displayed on the homepage of the first application. In response to a triggering operation of the content loading entry, a local photo album is displayed. In response to a selection operation in the local photo album, the media content to be edited and a set of preset tags are displayed on the editing page. Optionally, in response to a triggering operation of the content loading entry, a shooting page can also be displayed. In response to a shooting operation on the shooting page, an editing page is displayed, showing the media content to be edited and the set of preset tags. The embodiments of this disclosure do not specifically limit the loading method of the media content to be edited. The set of preset tags includes template tags, filter tags, sticker tags, and text tags, etc. In response to a triggering operation of a template tag in the set of preset tags, a set of candidate image templates can be displayed at the bottom of the editing page.

[0094] In other embodiments, a set of candidate image templates arranged according to a preset layout style is displayed on the template page of the first application.

[0095] S620. In response to the triggering operation of the target image template, generate the first media content based on the special effects information in the target image template and the media content to be edited.

[0096] For example, the selection operation of the target image template in the candidate image template set on the editing page generates a first media content with a similar effect to the target image template based on the target image template and the media content to be edited.

[0097] Optionally, in response to the selection of a target image template from the candidate image template set on the template page, the details page of the target image template is displayed. The details page of the target image template displays its cover image and preset controls. In response to the triggering of the preset controls, the local photo album is displayed. In response to the selection operation in the local photo album, based on the target image template and the media content to be edited, first media content with effects similar to those of the target image template is generated.

[0098] S630. Connect the first media content and the media content to be edited according to the preset dynamic effect to obtain multiple media content connection results, and determine the media content set according to the multiple media content connection results.

[0099] For example, for any of the various preset dynamic effects, the first media content and the media content to be edited are connected according to the current dynamic effect to obtain the media content connection result corresponding to the current dynamic effect. Thus, a media content set is formed based on the media content connection results corresponding to each preset dynamic effect.

[0100] S640. Display first media content and first control on the first page, wherein the first media content is a special effects image generated by applying a target image template to the media content to be edited.

[0101] S650. In response to the triggering operation of the first control, obtain the target video template from the preset template material library according to the target image template, and obtain the media content set.

[0102] S660. Display the second page, in which the media content set and the target video template are displayed.

[0103] For example, the second page is displayed, showing the media content connection results arranged according to a preset layout style and a static target video template. For instance, depending on business needs, a static target video template can be inserted between two adjacent media content connection results on the second page. The static target video template indicates that the target object in the target video template is in a static state.

[0104] S670. In response to the triggering operation of the target video template, generate second media content based on the first media content and the target video template, wherein the second media content is a special effects video generated by applying the target video template to the first media content.

[0105] The technical solution of this disclosure, by displaying a set of candidate image templates on an editing page or template page, and responding to a triggering operation of a target image template in the candidate image template set, generates first media content based on the special effects information in the target image template and the media content to be edited. This allows the image template set to be displayed on different pages, facilitating users to generate the first media content through different links and simplifying the operation complexity. On the first page, the first media content and a first control are displayed. Responding to a triggering operation of the first control, a target video template is retrieved from a preset template material library based on the target image template, and a set of media content is obtained. On the second page, the media content connection results and the target video template are displayed according to a preset layout style, thereby achieving the effect of displaying the target video template in a prominent position on the second page. Since the target video template is in a static state, only the cover image of the target video template can be rendered, thereby reducing the occupation of rendering resources and improving rendering efficiency.

[0106] Figure 7 is a flowchart illustrating another media content generation method provided in this embodiment of the present disclosure, which is applied to a second application. The second application can generate second media content based on the first media content of the first application and a target video template. The second application represents a client with video editing capabilities. For example, the client includes a web client, an application client, or a mini-program client, etc. This method can be executed by a media content generation device, which can be implemented in software and / or hardware, optionally through an electronic device, such as a mobile terminal, a PC, or a server, etc.

[0107] As shown in Figure 7, the method for generating second media content based on the first media content of the first application and the target video template through the second application includes:

[0108] S710. Display the target video template and the third control on the third page, wherein the target video template represents the video of the target object in the target image template associated with the first application.

[0109] The third page represents a preset interactive page in the second application. The third control is used to trigger a generation event for a video identical to the target video template. The first application sends the first media content and the template identifier of the target video template to the second application, launching the second application. After the second application launches, it retrieves the target video template from the preset effects template library based on the template identifier of the target video template.
