[0028] The present text and drawings are only provided for exemplary purposes, to help understand the present disclosure. They should not be construed as limiting the scope of the appended claims of the present disclosure in any way. Although certain embodiments and examples have been provided, it is clear to a person skilled in the art that without departing from the scope of the present disclosure, on the basis of the content of the present disclosure, changes could be made to the shown embodiments and examples.

[0029] Fig. 1 shows an interface device for an active antenna according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0030] As shown in Fig. 1, an interface device for an active antenna 140 may include a power supply module 110, a diagnostic module 120, and an attenuation module 130.

[0031] The power supply module 110 may be configured to output a power supply current to the active antenna 140. As shown in Fig. 1, the power supply module 110 may supply power to the active antenna 140 through a power supply loop. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the power supply module 110 may include a low dropout regulator (LDO) . The power supply module 110 may convert an unstable direct current (DC) voltage (e.g., Vin) into a stable direct current output voltage (e.g., Vout) while maintaining a low input-output voltage difference. Due to the linear operating characteristic of the LDO circuit, the LDO circuit can usually provide very low output noise. The LDO circuit may provide a very precise output voltage, with an error usually between 1%and 2%. The LDO circuit can quickly respond to a change in the output power supply current (e.g., Iout) to maintain the stability of the output voltage (e.g., Vout) . The structure of the power supply module 110 is exemplary, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto.

[0032] The diagnostic module 120 may be configured to detect a value of the power supply current Iout output by the power supply module 110, and output, based on the value of the power supply current Iout, a diagnostic signal indicating whether the active antenna 140 is disconnected. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the diagnostic module 120 may include a current sensing element such as a current transformer. When the active antenna 140 is not disconnected, the output current Iout may be maintained in a first current range. When the active antenna 140 is disconnected, the output current Iout may be maintained in a second current range lower than the first current range. For example, the second current range may be from zero to a first current threshold. The diagnostic module 120 may determine, based on the magnitude of the power supply current Iout, whether the active antenna 140 is disconnected, and output a diagnostic signal indicating whether the active antenna 140 is disconnected to a second processing unit 160. The structure of the diagnostic module 120 is exemplary, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto.

[0033] The second processing unit 160 may include a central processing unit (CPU) , a digital signal processor (DSP) , a graphics processing unit (GPU) , a micro control unit (MCU) , a domain controller (DCU) , or other forms of processing units having a data processing capability and / or a program execution capability, such as a field programmable gate array (FPGA) , etc., and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The second processing unit 160 may be, or may not be, a part of the TCU. The second processing unit 160 may determine, based on the diagnostic signal, whether the active antenna 140 is disconnected. When the active antenna 140 is disconnected, the second processing unit 160 may control a prompt component of a vehicle to prompt a user that the active antenna 140 of the vehicle has been disconnected. For example, the second processing unit 160 may prompt the user that the active antenna 140 of the vehicle has been disconnected, by controlling one or more of a display, a speaker, a lighting device, an actuating device, and the like.

[0034] The active antenna 140, through internally integrated active devices, can provide additional gain and amplification when receiving and sending signals, thereby improving signal intensity and quality. In a receiving mode, the active antenna 140 may receive a weak electromagnetic wave signal and convert the electromagnetic wave signal into a high-frequency alternating current signal, and then an internally integrated amplifier amplifies the high-frequency alternating current signal to improve a signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity. The structure of the active antenna 140 is exemplary, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. As shown in Fig. 1, the active antenna 140 may input the high-frequency alternating current signal into a first processing unit 150 through a high-frequency alternating current signal input loop. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the active antenna 140 may be an active antenna for a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) , but the present disclosure is not limited thereto.

[0035] The first processing unit 150 may be a signal processing unit of the TCU. The first processing unit 150 may include an analog-to-digital conversion module, a baseband processing module, and an application processing module (not shown in Fig. 1) . The analog-to-digital conversion module may convert an analog signal input by the active antenna 140 into a digital signal. The baseband processing module may demodulate and decode the digital signal. The application processing module may determine one or more of positioning and time information based on the demodulated and decoded signal. The structure of the first processing unit 150 is exemplary, and a person skilled in the art may understand that the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The maximum intensity of the high-frequency alternating current signal that the first processing unit 150 can withstand may be less than an intensity of the high-frequency alternating current signal provided by the active antenna 140. That is, the gain of the active antenna 140 may be too large, and therefore the high-frequency alternating current signal provided by the active antenna may damage the first processing unit 150.

[0036] The attenuation module 130 may be configured to, when the active antenna 140 is not disconnected, attenuate the alternating current signal received by the active antenna 140 and output the attenuated alternating current signal. For example, the attenuation module 130 may include elements such as a resistor, to attenuate the intensity of the high-frequency alternating current signal to a range that the first processing unit 150 can withstand.

[0037] Fig. 2A shows another interface device for an active antenna according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Components in Fig. 2A that are the same as or similar to those in Fig. 1 will not be described repeatedly.

[0038] As shown in Fig. 2A, the diagnostic module 120 may include a current detection circuit 121, a first resistor R1, and a first capacitor C1.

[0039] As shown in Fig. 2, the current detection circuit 121 may include a first terminal, a second terminal, and a third terminal. The first terminal of the current detection circuit 121 may be connected to the power supply module 110, the second terminal of the current detection circuit 121 may be connected to the active antenna 140, and the third terminal of the current detection circuit 121 may be connected to the second processing unit 160. The current detection circuit 121 may be configured to detect a magnitude of the power supply current Iout flowing through the first terminal and the second terminal of the current detection circuit, and generate a sensing current proportional to the magnitude of the power supply current Iout. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the current detection circuit 121 may generate a sensing current Isense that is proportional to the power supply current Iout by a factor s, for example, Iout = Isense × s, where s is a scale factor greater than 1, for example. The third terminal of the current detection circuit 121 may output the sensing current Isense proportional to the magnitude of the power supply current Iout.

[0040] The first terminal of the first resistor R1 may be connected to the third terminal of the current detection circuit 121, and the second terminal of the first resistor R1 may be grounded. The first resistor R1 may be configured to convert the sensing current into a sensing voltage Vsense used as the diagnostic signal. That is, the first resistor R1 may function as a pull-up resistor. For example, the first resistor R1 may convert the sensing current Isense into the sensing voltage Vsense that the second processing unit 160 can withstand. The sensing voltage Vsense = Isense × R1. According to the numerical relationship between Isense and Iout, it may be determined that Vsense = Iout × R1 / s. A resistance value of the first resistor R1 may be, for example, 10 kΩ, or may be another resistance value.

[0041] The first terminal of the first capacitor C1 may be connected to the third terminal of the current detection circuit, and the second terminal of the first capacitor C1 may be grounded. The first capacitor C1 may be configured to filter out a ripple of the sensing voltage Vsense, so as to output a stable diagnostic signal to the second processing unit 160.

[0042] Fig. 2B shows another interface device for an antenna according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Components in Fig. 2B that are the same as or similar to those in Fig. 2A will not be described repeatedly.

[0043] As shown in Fig. 2B, the diagnostic module 120 may further include a second resistor R2 and a second capacitor C2.

[0044] The first terminal of the second resistor R2 may be connected to the third terminal of the current detection circuit 121, and the second terminal of the second resistor R2 may be connected to the second processing unit 160 to output the diagnostic signal. The second resistor R2 may function as a current limiter. When the active antenna 140 is installed in the vehicle and the power supply module 110 starts to output the power supply current, the second resistor R2 may limit an inrush current or a surge current transmitted from the current detection circuit 121 to the second processing unit 160, so as to avoid damage to the second processing unit 160.

[0045] The first terminal of the second capacitor C2 may be connected to the second terminal of the second resistor R2, and the second terminal of the second capacitor C2 may be grounded. The second capacitor C2 may further filter out a ripple of the sensing voltage Vsense, so as to output a more stable diagnostic signal to the second processing unit 160. By providing the second capacitor C2, it is possible to accommodate the current detection circuit 121 that outputs a relatively fluctuating sensing voltage Isense, thereby reducing manufacturing requirements and costs of the current detection circuit 121.

[0046] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a power supply voltage of the power supply module 110 may be 5 V. When the power supply module 110 outputs a power supply voltage of 5 V and the active antenna 140 is disconnected, the load terminal (i.e., the active antenna 140) is an open circuit, and at this time, the output current Iout is 0 A. According to Vsense = Iout × R1 / s, it may be known that Vsense = 0 V. The second processing unit 160 may determine, based on a diagnostic signal of 0 V output by the diagnostic module 120, that the active antenna 140 is in a disconnected state.

[0047] When the power supply module 110 outputs a normal power supply voltage of 5 V and the active antenna 140 is not disconnected, a load terminal (i.e., the active antenna 140) is normally connected, and at this time, the output current Iout is a normal current consumed by the active antenna 140. According to the above description, as the diagnostic signal, Vsense = Iout × R1 / s. The second processing unit 160 may determine, based on the diagnostic signal output by the diagnostic module 120 as Vsense, that the active antenna 140 is normally connected and not disconnected.

[0048] Fig. 3 shows another interface device for an active antenna according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Components in Fig. 3 that are the same as or similar to those in Fig. 2 will not be described repeatedly.

[0049] As shown in Fig. 3, the interface device for an active antenna 140 further includes a low-pass filter 310 and an electrostatic suppression element 320.

[0050] The low-pass filter 310 may include a first terminal and a second terminal. The first terminal of the low-pass filter 310 may be connected to the second terminal of the current detection circuit 121, and the second terminal of the low-pass filter 310 may be connected to the active antenna 140. The low-pass filter 310 may allow the power supply voltage to be supplied from the power supply module 110 to the active antenna 140, and prevent the high-frequency alternating current signal received by the active antenna 140 from flowing back into the power supply module 110, and prevent the high-frequency alternating current signal received by the active antenna 140 from generating signal shunting, which causes the high-frequency alternating current signal received and processed by the first processing unit 150 to be inaccurate. For example, the low-pass filter 310 may prevent a GNSS signal sent by the active antenna 140 to the first processing unit 150 from being inaccurate, thereby preventing inaccurate GNSS positioning or inability to position.

[0051] The low-pass filter 310 may include an inductor L1 and a third capacitor C3. The first terminal of the inductor L1 may be connected to the second terminal of the current detection circuit 121, and the second terminal of the inductor L1 may be connected to the antenna. The inductor L1 may function to isolate the high-frequency alternating current signal received by the active antenna 140 from flowing back into the power supply module 110. The first terminal of the third capacitor C1 may be connected to the first terminal of the inductor L1, and the second terminal of the third capacitor C2 may be grounded. The third capacitor C1 may further filter the power supply voltage output by the power supply module 110, so as to filter out a voltage ripple of the direct current power supply voltage. Although only one third capacitor C1 is shown, more third capacitors C1 may be provided as needed.

[0052] The first terminal of the electrostatic suppression element 320 may be connected to the active antenna 140, and the second terminal of the electrostatic suppression element 320 may be grounded. The electrostatic suppression element 320 may include one or more of a transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode, a multilayer varistor (MLV) , a metal oxide varistor (MOV) , a polymer ESD protection device, and a glass ceramic ESD protection device. When the active antenna 140 is plugged or unplugged, an electrostatic discharge pulse may be generated. Such an electrostatic discharge pulse may damage the TCU, causing elements included in the TCU to fail. In addition, when the power supply 110 is powered off or the active antenna 140 is disconnected, the inductor L1 may also generate an induced pulse, and such an induced pulse may also cause elements included in the TCU to fail. When the electrostatic discharge pulse is generated due to plugging or unplugging of the active antenna 140, or when the induced pulse is generated by L1 in the case in which the power supply 110 is powered off and the active antenna is disconnected, the electrostatic suppression element 320 may operate to discharge the pulse, thereby protecting the elements included in the TCU.

[0053] Fig. 4A shows another interface device for an active antenna according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Components in Fig. 4A that are the same as or similar to those in Fig. 3 will not be described repeatedly.

[0054] As shown in Fig. 4A, the attenuation module 130 may include a fourth capacitor C4, a fifth capacitor C5, and an alternating current signal attenuation component 131.

[0055] The alternating current signal attenuation component 131 may be configured to attenuate the high-frequency alternating current signal provided by the active antenna 140, and output the attenuated high-frequency alternating current signal to the first processing unit 150.

[0056] The fourth capacitor C4 and the fifth capacitor C5 may function to isolate direct current signals. A first terminal of the fourth capacitor C4 may be connected to the active antenna 140, and a second terminal of the fourth capacitor C4 may be connected to a first terminal of the alternating current signal attenuation component 131; and a first terminal of the fifth capacitor C5 may be connected to a second terminal of the alternating current signal attenuation component 131, and a second terminal of the fifth capacitor C5 may be configured to output the attenuated alternating current signal.

[0057] The fourth capacitor C4 may isolate the direct current power supply voltage output by the power supply module 110, so as to prevent the direct current power supply voltage from being input to the first processing unit 150. That is, when the power supply module 110 is normally supplying power and the active antenna 140 is not disconnected, the fourth capacitor C4 may filter out the direct current power supply voltage and output the high-frequency alternating current signal provided by the active antenna 140 for attenuation by the alternating current signal attenuation component 131. When the power supply module 110 is normally supplying power and the active antenna 140 is disconnected, the fourth capacitor C4 may filter out the direct current power supply voltage and no longer output the high-frequency alternating current signal, and therefore the alternating current signal attenuation component 131 may no longer perform an attenuation operation in this case.

[0058] The fifth capacitor C5 may isolate an influence of a connection manner (e.g., grounding) of the alternating current signal attenuation component 131 on a signal receiving terminal of the first processing unit 150, thereby further improving accuracy of the high-frequency alternating current signal received by the first processing unit 150.

[0059] Fig. 4B shows another interface device for an active antenna according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Components in Fig. 4B that are the same as or similar to those in Fig. 4A will not be described repeatedly.

[0060] As shown in Fig. 4B, the alternating current signal attenuation component 131 may include a π-shaped resistor. For example, the alternating current signal attenuation component 131 may include a third resistor R3, a fourth resistor R4, and a fifth resistor R5. A person skilled in the art may understand that the structure of the alternating current signal attenuation component 131 is merely exemplary, and alternating current signal attenuation components of other structures are also possible.

[0061] A first terminal of the third resistor R3 may be connected to a second terminal of the fourth resistor C4 and configured to receive the high-frequency alternating current signal provided by the active antenna 140, and a second terminal of the third resistor R3 may be connected to a first terminal of the fifth resistor C5 and configured to output the attenuated high-frequency alternating current signal to the first processing unit 150. A first terminal of the fourth resistor R4 may be connected to the first terminal of the third resistor R3, and a second terminal of the fourth resistor R4 may be grounded. A first terminal of the fifth resistor R5 may be connected to the second terminal of the third resistor R3, and a second terminal of the fifth resistor R5 may be grounded. In this manner, an excessively large antenna gain of the active antenna 140 may be mitigated. For example, the attenuation module 130 may attenuate the intensity of the high-frequency alternating current signal output by the active antenna 140 to be below the maximum intensity that the first processing unit 150 can withstand, thereby enabling the first processing unit 150 to normally process the high-frequency alternating current signal provided by the active antenna 140 and avoiding damage to the first processing unit 150.

[0062] The fifth capacitor C5 may isolate an influence of grounding of the fifth resistor R5 and the fourth resistor R4 on the signal receiving terminal of the first processing unit 150, thereby further improving accuracy of the high-frequency alternating current signal received by the first processing unit 150.

[0063] Although the interface device according to the present disclosure has been described above with separate embodiments, a person skilled in the art may understand that the interface devicees in Fig. 1 to Fig. 4B may be combined or split in any form without departing from the scope of the present disclosure.

[0067] Fig. 6 shows a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0068] The vehicle 600 may include, but is not limited to, a sedan, a tractor unit (with or without a trailer) , a bus, a recreational vehicle, a minivan or a sport utility vehicle (SUV) , etc.

[0069] As shown in Fig. 6, the vehicle 600 may include an electronic apparatus 610, which may be one or more of the interface devicees described above with reference to Fig. 1 to Fig. 4 and the TCU 500 described above with reference to Fig. 5.

[0071] Although the present disclosure has been described using exemplary embodiments, various changes and modifications may be suggested to a person skilled in the art. The present disclosure is intended to encompass such changes and modifications that fall within the scope of the appended claims.

[0072] Nothing described in the present invention should be construed as implying that any specified element, step or function is an essential element that must be included in the scope of the claims. The scope of the patent subject matter is only defined by the claims.
