Abstract
Description
Outdoor unit of an air conditioner
[0001] The present invention relates to an outdoor unit of an air conditioner.
[0002] There has been known an outdoor unit of an air conditioner in which an electric wire is drawn out from an electrical component box arranged at an upper part of a machine room, and connected to a device or the like arranged at a lower part of the machine room (Patent Document 1).
[0003] Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2005-172376
[0004] However, in the above technique, the electric wire hangs down from the electrical component box, which causes slack in the electric wire, and there is a risk that the electric wire may come into contact with members other than the device to which the electric wire is connected. At the lower part of the machine room, devices or members that reach high temperatures, or devices or members that vibrate are arranged. When the slack portion of the electric wire comes into contact with the high-temperature device or member, the coating of the electric wire may be deteriorated by heat. In addition, when the slack portion of the electric wire comes into contact with a vibrating device or member, the electric wire hits the device or member each time vibration occurs, which may cause coating breakage or wire breakage.
[0005] The disclosed technology has been made in view of the above, and an object thereof is to provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner that suppresses deterioration of electric wire coating due to heat, and breakage of electric wire coating and electric wire disconnection due to contact.
[0006] One aspect of the outdoor unit of an air conditioner disclosed in the present application includes: a casing whose interior is partitioned into a blower chamber and a machine room; a compressor arranged in the machine room; an electrical component unit arranged above the compressor; a lower device arranged at a lower portion of the machine room; and a plurality of holding portions that hold an electric wire connecting the electrical component unit and the lower device. A target member including at least one of a vibration member and a high-temperature member is arranged in the machine room. The plurality of holding portions are arranged above the target member, and a distance between the holding portions arranged at both ends in an arrangement direction of the plurality of holding portions is larger than a distance between both ends of an upper proximal portion, which is a portion of the target member close to the electric wire held by the plurality of holding portions.
[0007] According to one aspect of the outdoor unit of an air conditioner disclosed in the present application, it is possible to suppress deterioration of electric wire coating due to heat, and breakage of electric wire coating and electric wire disconnection due to contact.
[0008] Figure 1 is a refrigerant circuit diagram of an air conditioner. Figure 2 is an exploded view showing a portion of the outdoor unit disassembled. Figure 3 is a right side view of the outdoor unit with a portion of the casing removed. Figure 4 is a front view of the machine room of the outdoor unit with a portion of the casing removed. Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view taken along line V-V in Figure 4. Figure 6 is a perspective view showing the area near the retaining part.
[0009] The following describes in detail, with reference to the drawings, an embodiment of the outdoor unit of the air conditioner disclosed in this application. However, the following embodiment does not limit the outdoor unit of the air conditioner disclosed in this application.
[0010] <Air Conditioner Configuration> Figure 1 is a refrigerant circuit diagram of the air conditioner 1. The air conditioner 1 comprises an outdoor unit 2 and an indoor unit 3. The air conditioner 1 cools or heats the room in which the indoor unit 3 is located by circulating the refrigerant between the indoor unit 3 and the outdoor unit 2.
[0011] The indoor unit 3 comprises an indoor heat exchanger 4 and an indoor fan 5. The outdoor unit 2 comprises a compressor 7, a four-way valve 8, an outdoor heat exchanger 9, an outdoor fan 10, an expansion valve 11, and an accumulator 12. In the air conditioner 1, the compressor 7, the four-way valve 8, the outdoor heat exchanger 9, the expansion valve 11, the indoor heat exchanger 4, and the accumulator 12 are connected by refrigerant piping 13 to form a refrigerant circuit 14.
[0012] The indoor heat exchanger 4 exchanges heat between the refrigerant and the indoor air taken into the indoor unit 3. The indoor air is taken into the indoor unit 3 by the rotation of the indoor fan 5. When the air conditioner 1 is in cooling operation, the indoor heat exchanger 4 functions as an evaporator. When the air conditioner 1 is in heating operation, the indoor heat exchanger 4 functions as a condenser.
[0013] The indoor fan 5 is positioned near the indoor heat exchanger 4. The indoor fan 5 rotates using a fan motor (not shown) to draw air into the indoor unit 3. As the fan motor rotates, the indoor fan 5 blows out the indoor air that has undergone heat exchange with the refrigerant by the indoor heat exchanger 4 into the room.
[0014] The compressor 7 is, for example, a variable-capacity compressor whose operating capacity can be changed. A four-way valve 8 is connected to the refrigerant discharge side of the compressor 7. An accumulator 12 is connected to the refrigerant suction side of the compressor 7.
[0015] The four-way valve 8 is a valve for switching the direction of refrigerant flow in the refrigerant circuit 14. The four-way valve 8 has a first port 8a, a second port 8b, a third port 8c, and a fourth port 8d. The first port 8a is connected to the refrigerant discharge side of the compressor 7. The second port 8b is connected to one of the refrigerant inlets and outlets of the outdoor heat exchanger 9. The third port 8c is connected to the refrigerant inlet side of the accumulator 12. The fourth port 8d is connected to one of the refrigerant inlets and outlets of the indoor heat exchanger 4.
[0016] The outdoor heat exchanger 9 exchanges heat between the refrigerant and the outdoor air taken into the outdoor unit 2. The outdoor air is taken into the outdoor unit 2 by the rotation of the outdoor fan 10. When the air conditioner 1 is in cooling operation, the outdoor heat exchanger 9 functions as a condenser. When the air conditioner 1 is in heating operation, the outdoor heat exchanger 9 functions as an evaporator.
[0017] The outdoor fan 10 is positioned near the outdoor heat exchanger 9. The outdoor fan 10 rotates with a fan motor (not shown) to draw outside air into the outdoor unit 2. The rotation of the fan motor of the outdoor fan 10 also causes the outside air, which has undergone heat exchange with the refrigerant by the outdoor heat exchanger 9, to be released to the outside of the outdoor unit 2.
[0018] One refrigerant inlet / outlet of the expansion valve 11 is connected to the other refrigerant inlet / outlet of the outdoor heat exchanger 9, and the other refrigerant inlet / outlet is connected to the other refrigerant inlet / outlet of the indoor heat exchanger 4. The expansion valve 11 is, for example, an electronic expansion valve. By adjusting the valve opening, the expansion valve 11 reduces the pressure (expands) of the refrigerant passing through it and adjusts the amount of refrigerant flowing to the indoor unit 3.
[0019] The refrigerant inlet side of the accumulator 12 is connected to the third port 8c of the four-way valve 8, and the refrigerant outlet side of the accumulator 12 is connected to the refrigerant suction side of the compressor 7. The accumulator 12 is formed as a hollow pressure vessel. The accumulator 12 separates the refrigerant that flows into it into gaseous refrigerant and liquid refrigerant. The accumulator 12 allows only the separated gaseous refrigerant to be drawn into the compressor 7.
[0020] <Operation of the Air Conditioner> The operation of the air conditioner 1 will be explained below. In Figure 1, the flow of refrigerant when the air conditioner 1 is performing heating operation is shown by dashed arrows. The flow of refrigerant when the air conditioner 1 is performing cooling operation is shown by solid arrows.
[0021] When the air conditioner 1 is operating in heating mode, the four-way valve 8 connects the first port 8a and the fourth port 8d, and also connects the second port 8b and the third port 8c. When the air conditioner 1 is operating in heating mode, the refrigerant discharged from the compressor 7 flows into the first port 8a of the four-way valve 8 and into the indoor heat exchanger 4 from the fourth port 8d of the four-way valve 8. The refrigerant that flows into the indoor heat exchanger 4 condenses by exchanging heat with the indoor air taken into the indoor unit 3. The indoor air, heated by the heat exchange with the refrigerant, is blown into the room from the indoor unit 3.
[0022] The refrigerant condensed by the indoor heat exchanger 4 passes through the expansion valve 11, is depressurized, and then flows into the outdoor heat exchanger 9. The refrigerant that flows into the outdoor heat exchanger 9 evaporates by exchanging heat with the outside air that flows into the outdoor unit 2. The refrigerant evaporated by the outdoor heat exchanger 9 flows into the second port 8b of the four-way valve 8, flows out from the third port 8c of the four-way valve 8, passes through the accumulator 12, is drawn into the compressor 7, and is compressed again.
[0023] When the air conditioner 1 is in cooling operation, the four-way valve 8 connects the first port 8a and the second port 8b, and also connects the third port 8c and the fourth port 8d. When the air conditioner 1 is in cooling operation, the refrigerant discharged from the compressor 7 flows into the first port 8a of the four-way valve 8 and flows into the outdoor heat exchanger 9 from the second port 8b of the four-way valve 8. The refrigerant that flows into the outdoor heat exchanger 9 condenses by exchanging heat with the outside air taken in by the outdoor unit 2.
[0024] The refrigerant condensed by the outdoor heat exchanger 9 passes through the expansion valve 11, is depressurized, and then flows into the indoor heat exchanger 4. The refrigerant that flows into the indoor heat exchanger 4 evaporates by exchanging heat with the indoor air taken in by the indoor unit 3. The indoor air cooled by the heat exchange with the refrigerant is then blown out of the indoor unit 3 into the room.
[0025] The refrigerant evaporated by the indoor heat exchanger 4 flows into the fourth port 8d of the four-way valve 8, flows out from the third port 8c of the four-way valve 8, passes through the accumulator 12, is drawn into the compressor 7, and is compressed again.
[0026] <Outdoor Unit Configuration> Next, the configuration of the outdoor unit 2 will be explained. Figure 2 is an exploded view showing a part of the outdoor unit 2. The outdoor unit 2 houses a compressor 7, a four-way valve 8 (see Figure 3), an outdoor heat exchanger 9, an outdoor fan 10, an expansion valve 11 (see Figure 3), and an accumulator 12 (see Figure 3) in a housing 20.
[0027] In the following, when the outdoor unit 2 is placed on a horizontal mounting surface G (see Figure 3), the vertical direction will be defined as downward, and the direction opposite to the vertical direction will be defined as upward, as the up-down direction. Furthermore, the direction in which air is blown out by the outdoor fan 10 of the outdoor unit 2 will be defined as forward, and the direction opposite to forward will be defined as backward, as the front-rear direction. In addition, the direction perpendicular to the up-down direction and the front-rear direction will be defined as the left-right direction. When viewing the outdoor unit 2 from the front, the right side will be defined as the right, and the left side as the left.
[0028] The enclosure 20 is formed in the shape of a rectangular box, with its width being greater than its depth. The enclosure 20 comprises a bottom plate 21, a top panel 22, a first side panel 23, and a second side panel 24. The bottom plate 21 is positioned to face the mounting surface G. The top panel 22 is positioned above the bottom plate 21. The top panel 22 is positioned to face the bottom plate 21.
[0029] The first side panel 23 connects the bottom plate 21 and the top panel 22. The first side panel 23 is formed to bend in an L-shape when viewed from above. The first side panel 23 comprises a left side panel 23a and a front panel 23b. The left side panel 23a forms the left side of the outdoor unit 2.
[0030] The front panel 23b forms the front of the outdoor unit 2. An air outlet 23c is formed in the front panel 23b. The air outlet 23c is positioned in front of the outdoor fan 10. The air outlet 23c is designed to blow out outside air that has undergone heat exchange by the outdoor heat exchanger 9 to the outside of the outdoor unit 2. A fan guard 25 is provided on the front panel 23b. The fan guard 25 is provided so as to cover the air outlet 23c.
[0031] The first side panel 23 is detachably fixed to the bottom plate 21 and the top panel 22, and can be removed during maintenance or replacement of the outdoor fan 10, outdoor heat exchanger 9, compressor 7, etc. With the first side panel 23 removed, the outdoor fan 10, outdoor heat exchanger 9, compressor 7, etc. can be accessed from the front during maintenance.
[0032] The second side panel 24 connects the bottom plate 21 and the top panel 22. The second side panel 24 is formed to bend in an L-shape when viewed from above. The second side panel 24 comprises a right side panel 24a and a rear panel 24b. The right side panel 24a forms the right side of the outdoor unit 2. The rear panel 24b forms a part of the rear of the outdoor unit 2.
[0033] The second side panel 24 is detachably fixed to the bottom plate 21 and the top panel 22, and is removed when performing maintenance or replacement of the four-way valve 8, expansion valve 11, etc. With the second side panel 24 removed, the four-way valve 8, expansion valve 11, etc. can be accessed from the right side when performing maintenance.
[0034] The interior of the housing 20 is divided into a blower room 28 and a machine room 29 by a partition plate 26. The blower room 28 and the machine room 29 are aligned in the left-right direction. An electrical unit 30 (electrical section) is provided above the partition plate 26. Specifically, the electrical unit 30 is provided between the upper end of the partition plate 26 and the top panel 22. The electrical unit 30 is provided across both the blower room 28 and the machine room 29.
[0035] The electrical unit 30 includes a power supply board (not shown) that supplies drive power to each device of the outdoor unit 2, and a control board 31 (see Figure 5) that controls each device of the outdoor unit 2 and communicates with the indoor unit 3. The electrical unit 30 is provided with multiple connectors 33 to which multiple wirings 32 (hereinafter referred to as "electric wires 32") such as power lines (connecting the external AC power supply to the power supply board) and control lines (connecting each device to the control board 31) are connected. Each connector 33 is provided in such a way that it can be easily accessed when the first side panel 23 is removed. The connectors 33 are provided on one end in the front-to-back direction. Specifically, the connectors 33 are provided on the front side of the electrical unit 30.
[0036] The fan room 28 houses the outdoor heat exchanger 9 and the outdoor fan 10, etc. The machine room 29 houses a part of the outdoor heat exchanger 9, the compressor 7, the four-way valve 8, the expansion valve 11, the accumulator 12, the terminal block 35, the terminal block fixing part 36, etc., as shown in Figure 3. Figure 3 is a right side view of the outdoor unit 2 with a part of the housing 20 removed.
[0037] The compressor 7 is located on the front side of the machine room 29. The compressor 7 is attached to the bottom plate 21. An electrical unit 30 is located above the compressor 7. The accumulator 12 is located behind the compressor 7. The four-way valve 8 is located above the compressor 7 and the accumulator 12.
[0038] The expansion valve 11 is positioned behind the accumulator 12. The expansion valve 11 is positioned on the rear side of the machine room 29. The expansion valve 11 is positioned at the bottom (downward side) of the machine room 29.
[0039] The terminal block 35 is positioned above the compressor 7. The terminal block 35 is positioned below the electrical unit 30. In other words, the terminal block 35 is positioned between the compressor 7 and the electrical unit 30 in the vertical direction. The terminal block 35 is connected to an external AC power supply (not shown) via a power cable (not shown). The terminal block 35 is connected to the power supply board of the electrical unit 30 via a high-voltage cable (not shown).
[0040] The terminal block fixing portion 36 is positioned above the compressor 7. The terminal block fixing portion 36 is attached, for example, to the electrical unit 30. The terminal block fixing portion 36 is formed, for example, by pressing a metal plate.
[0041] A terminal block 35 is fixed to the terminal block fixing portion 36. Specifically, the terminal block 35 is fixed to the surface 36a of the terminal block fixing portion 36. That is, the surface 36a is the mounting surface to which the terminal block 35 is attached. The surface 36a is positioned to face the right side panel 24a of the second side panel 24 (see Figure 4). When the second side panel 24 is not attached, the surface 36a is formed such that the terminal block 35 faces forward when the terminal block fixing portion 36 is viewed from the right side of the housing 20. The surface 36a is inclined so that its upper end is located to the left of its lower end.
[0042] The terminal block 35 is fixed to the surface 36a of the terminal block fixing portion 36 by a screw member 38. The screw member 38 penetrates the terminal block fixing portion 36 from the surface 36a to the back surface 36b (see Figure 4). The back surface 36b is the surface opposite to the surface 36a.
[0043] A holding portion 40 is provided on the terminal block fixing portion 36, as shown in Figure 4. Specifically, the holding portion 40 is attached to the back surface 36b of the terminal block fixing portion 36. The holding portion 40 holds the electric wires 32a and 32b that connect the electrical unit 30 and the lower device 41 of the machine room 29. Figure 4 is a front view of the machine room 29 of the outdoor unit 2 with a part of the housing 20 removed.
[0044] The lower device 41 is a device disposed on the opposite side to the connector 33 of the electrical unit 30 in the front-rear direction. Specifically, as shown in Figure 3, the lower device 41 is a device disposed on the rear side of the machine room 29. The lower device 41 is also a device disposed on the lower side of the machine room 29. For example, the lower device 41 is a device disposed on a lower side than a target member 44 described later.
[0045] The lower device 41 is, for example, an expansion valve 11 and a temperature sensor 42. The temperature sensor 42 is provided on a refrigerant pipe 13a connecting the expansion valve 11 and an outdoor heat exchanger 9. The temperature sensor 42 detects the temperature of refrigerant flowing from the expansion valve 11 into the outdoor heat exchanger 9, or the temperature of refrigerant flowing from the outdoor heat exchanger 9 into the expansion valve 11. An electric wire 32a connects a control board 31 of the electrical unit 30 and the expansion valve 11. An electric wire 32b connects the control board 31 of the electrical unit 30 and the temperature sensor 42. Note that the lower device 41 is not limited to the above. The lower device 41 includes various devices depending on the arrangement of each component in the machine room 29.
[0046] As shown in Figure 4, the holding portion 40 is provided on the back surface 36b of a terminal block fixing portion 36. For example, the holding portion 40 is formed in a C-shape when viewed from the front-rear direction. Note that the shape of the holding portion 40 is not limited to a C-shape, and may be any shape that can hold the electric wires 32a and 32b, such as a U-shape or a J-shape.
[0047] A plurality of the holding portions 40 are provided. As shown in Figure 5, the plurality of holding portions 40 are provided to be aligned in the front-rear direction. Two holding portions 40 are provided aligned in the front-rear direction. The number of the holding portions 40 is not limited to two. Three or more holding portions 40 may be provided. Figure 5 is a sectional view taken along line V-V of Figure 4.
[0048] The plurality of holding portions 40 hold the electric wires 32a, 32b. The plurality of holding portions 40 hold the electric wires 32a, 32b such that the portions of the electric wires 32a, 32b between the plurality of holding portions 40 are parallel to the installation surface G (see FIG. 4) of the outdoor unit 2. That the electric wires 32a, 32b are parallel to the installation surface G means a state where the electric wires 32a, 32b are not slack between the plurality of holding portions 40. By holding the electric wires 32a, 32b in parallel with a space therebetween via the plurality of holding portions 40 relative to the installation surface G in this manner, even if the electric wires 32a, 32b are slightly displaced in the front-rear direction due to vibration, the state where the electric wires 32a, 32b are not slack can be maintained, and contact between the electric wires 32a, 32b and the target member 44 can be suppressed.
[0049] The plurality of holding portions 40 are arranged above the target member 44. The target member 44 is a member that may cause deterioration or tearing of the coating of the electric wires 32a, 32b, or disconnection of the electric wires 32a, 32b when the electric wires 32a, 32b come into contact therewith if the electric wires 32a, 32b slack. The target member 44 includes at least one of a vibrating member and a high-temperature member.
[0050] The vibrating member is a member that may cause tearing of the coating of the electric wires 32a, 32b or disconnection of the electric wires 32a, 32b due to beating caused by its own vibration when it comes into contact with the electric wires 32a, 32b. The vibrating member is, for example, a member that vibrates when the air conditioner 1 operates, or a member directly connected to a vibrating member. The vibrating member may also be a member that may come into contact with the electric wires 32a, 32b due to vibration when the outdoor unit 2 is conveyed, thereby causing tearing of the coating of the electric wires 32a, 32b or disconnection of the electric wires 32a, 32b.
[0051] The high-temperature member is a member that may deteriorate the electric wires 32a, 32b due to heat. The high-temperature member is a member that reaches a predetermined temperature or higher when the air conditioner 1 operates. The predetermined temperature is a predetermined temperature. The heat-resistant temperature of the coating of the electric wires 32a, 32b is predetermined, and the predetermined temperature is a temperature equal to or higher than the heat-resistant temperature of the electric wires 32a, 32b.
[0052] The target component 44 is positioned between the front side of the electrical unit 30 and the lower device 41. The target component 44 is, for example, a compressor 7, which is a vibrating component, and a refrigerant pipe 13b through which the refrigerant discharged from the compressor 7 flows. The compressor 7 vibrates when it is driven, and the refrigerant pipe 13b connected to the compressor 7 also vibrates as the vibration of the compressor 7 is transmitted to it. Furthermore, the target component 44 is, for example, a high-temperature component, the compressor 7, and a refrigerant pipe 13b through which the refrigerant discharged from the compressor 7 flows. Since the refrigerant discharged from the compressor 7 is at a high temperature, the refrigerant pipe 13b also becomes hot along with the compressor 7.
[0053] As shown in Figure 5, the holding portion 40 is configured such that the distance L1 between the holding portions 40 located at both ends in the front-rear direction is greater than the distance L2 between the ends of the upper adjacent portion 44a of the target member 44.
[0054] The upper proximity portion 44a is a portion of the target member 44 that is close to the electric wires 32a and 32b held by a plurality of holding portions 40. Specifically, the upper proximity portion 44a is a portion of the target member 44 that protrudes upward and is a portion that is highly likely to come into contact with the electric wires 32a and 32b if they become slack. For example, the upper proximity portion 44a includes portions of the refrigerant piping 13b near the vertices 13c and 13d of the upwardly curved portion.
[0055] The distance L2 between the two ends of the upper proximity portion 44a in the target member 44 is the distance between the two ends of the upper proximity portion 44a in the direction of arrangement of the multiple holding portions 40. That is, the distance L2 between the two ends of the upper proximity portion 44a in the target member 44 is the distance between the two ends of the upper proximity portion 44a in the front-rear direction. Specifically, the distance L2 between the two ends of the upper proximity portion 44a in the target member 44 is the distance between the frontmost upper proximity portion 44a and the rearmost upper proximity portion 44a. For example, the distance L2 between the two ends of the upper proximity portion 44a in the target member 44 is the distance between the vertices 13c and 13d of the refrigerant pipe 13b.
[0056] Of the multiple holding parts 40, the holding parts 40 located at both ends are positioned outside the upper adjacent portion 44a in the arrangement direction of the holding parts 40. Specifically, the holding part 40 located at the front end is positioned forward of the apex 13c of the refrigerant pipe 13b. The holding part 40 located at the rear end is positioned behind the apex 13d of the refrigerant pipe 13b.
[0057] As shown in Figure 6, the multiple holding parts 40 are arranged so that the fixed electric wires 32a and 32b do not come into contact with the screw members 38 that fix the terminal block 35 (see Figure 3) to the terminal block fixing part 36. Specifically, the multiple holding parts 40 are arranged so that the protruding part 38a of the screw member 38, which protrudes from the back surface 36b of the terminal block fixing part 36, does not come into contact with the electric wires 32a and 32b. For example, the multiple holding parts 40 are arranged so that the distance between the electric wires 32a and 32b, which are parallel to the installation surface G, and the protruding part 38a of the screw member 38 is greater than or equal to a predetermined distance. The predetermined distance is a distance set in advance, which is the distance at which the electric wires 32a and 32b and the protruding part 38a of the screw member 38 do not come into contact, for example, 4 mm. Figure 6 is a perspective view showing the vicinity of the holding parts 40. Furthermore, as long as the distance between the electric wires 32a and 32b and the protruding portion 38a of the screw member 38 is greater than or equal to a predetermined distance, the electric wires 32a and 32b do not necessarily have to be parallel to the installation surface G between the multiple holding portions 40.
[0058] As shown in Figure 5, the electric wires 32a and 32b are connected from the connector 33 (see Figure 4) of the electrical unit 30, through a plurality of holding parts 40, to the lower device 41 (see Figure 3). One end of the electric wires 32a and 32b is connected to the front side of the electrical unit 30. The other end of the electric wires 32a and 32b is connected to the lower device 41 (see Figure 3). The electric wires 32a and 32b are routed so as to pass over the target member 44 and are connected to the connector 33 of the electrical unit 30 and the lower device 41.
[0059] The outdoor unit 2 of the air conditioner 1 comprises a housing 20, a compressor 7, an electrical unit 30, a lower unit 41, and a plurality of holding parts 40. The housing 20 is divided internally into a blower room 28 and a machine room 29. The compressor 7 is located in the machine room 29. The electrical unit 30 is located above the compressor 7. The lower unit 41 is located below the machine room 29. The plurality of holding parts 40 hold the electric wires 32a and 32b that connect the electrical unit 30 and the lower unit 41. A target member 44, which includes at least one of a vibrating member and a high-temperature member, is located in the machine room 29. The plurality of holding parts 40 are located above the target member 44. In the arrangement direction of the plurality of holding parts 40, the distance between the holding parts 40 located at both ends is greater than the distance between the ends of the upper proximity portion 44a, which is the part of the target member 44 closest to the electric wires 32a and 32b held by the plurality of holding parts 40.
[0060] As a result, the outdoor unit 2 of the air conditioner 1 can prevent the wires 32a and 32b from sagging and prevent the wires 32a and 32b, which are fixed by the multiple holding parts 40, from coming into contact with the upper adjacent part 44a. For example, since the wires 32a and 32b are held parallel to the installation surface G by the multiple holding parts 40 and do not sag, even if the target member 44 vibrates, it is possible to prevent the wires 32a and 32b from coming into contact with the target member 44. Therefore, the outdoor unit 2 can prevent the insulation of the wires 32a and 32b from deteriorating due to the heat of the target member 44. In addition, the outdoor unit 2 can prevent the insulation from tearing or the wires 32a and 32b from coming into contact with the target member 44.
[0061] The multiple holding parts 40 hold the electric wires 32a and 32b such that the electric wires 32a and 32b between the multiple holding parts 40 are parallel to the installation surface G of the outdoor unit 2.
[0062] This prevents the wires 32a and 32b from sagging and, because the wires 32a and 32b are parallel to the installation surface G of the outdoor unit 2, it prevents the wires 32a and 32b from slipping off the holding part 40. Furthermore, even if the wires 32a and 32b shift slightly in the front-rear direction due to vibration, the wires 32a and 32b can maintain a state of not sagging. This prevents the wires 32a and 32b from coming into contact with the target member 44. Therefore, the outdoor unit 2 can prevent the insulation of the wires 32a and 32b from deteriorating due to heat. In addition, the outdoor unit 2 can prevent the wires 32a and 32b from coming into contact with the target member 44, which could cause the insulation to tear or the wires 32a and 32b to break.
[0063] The retaining parts 40 located at both ends of the multiple retaining parts 40 are positioned outside the upper adjacent part 44a in the front-to-back direction, which is the arrangement direction of the multiple retaining parts 40.
[0064] As a result, the outdoor unit 2 can prevent the electric wires 32a and 32b from coming into contact with the upper, adjacent portion 44a of the target member 44. Therefore, the outdoor unit 2 can prevent the insulation of the electric wires 32a and 32b from deteriorating due to heat. In addition, the outdoor unit 2 can prevent the electric wires 32a and 32b from coming into contact with the target member 44, which could cause the insulation to tear or the electric wires 32a and 32b to break.
[0065] The outdoor unit 2 includes a terminal block 35 and a terminal block fixing part 36. The terminal block 35 is positioned vertically between the compressor 7 and the electrical unit 30. The terminal block fixing part 36 is used to fix the terminal block 35. Multiple holding parts 40 are provided on the terminal block fixing part 36.
[0066] Multiple holding parts 40 provided on the terminal block fixing part 36 can hold the electric wires 32a and 32b. Therefore, contact between the electric wires 32a and 32b and the upper adjacent part 44a of the target member 44 can be suppressed. Consequently, the outdoor unit 2 can suppress deterioration of the insulation of the electric wires 32a and 32b due to heat. In addition, the outdoor unit 2 can suppress contact between the electric wires 32a and 32b and the target member 44, which could cause tearing of the insulation or breakage of the electric wires 32a and 32b.
[0067] The terminal block 35 is fixed to the surface 36a of the terminal block fixing portion 36 by a screw member 38. Multiple holding portions 40 are provided on the back surface 36b opposite to the surface 36a. The screw member 38 penetrates the terminal block fixing portion 36 from the surface 36a to the back surface 36b. The distance between the protruding portion 38a of the screw member 38 protruding from the back surface 36b and the electric wires 32a, 32b between the multiple holding portions 40 is greater than or equal to a predetermined distance.
[0068] This prevents the outdoor unit 2 from coming into contact with the screw member 38 and the electric wires 32a and 32b, and prevents the insulation of the electric wires 32a and 32b from being torn by the screw member 38.
[0069] The electric wires 32a and 32b are connected at one end to the front side of the electrical unit 30 and at the other end to the lower device 41 located at the rear of the machine room 29. The target member 44 is positioned between the front side of the electrical unit 30 and the lower device 41. The electric wires 32a and 32b are routed so as to pass over the target member 44.
[0070] By routing the electric wires 32a and 32b to avoid the target member 44, it is possible to connect the lower device 41 located at the rear of the machine room 29 to the front of the control board 31 with the electric wires 32a and 32b while preventing the electric wires 32a and 32b from coming into contact with the target member 44.
[0071] In the above embodiment, an example was described in which the terminal block 35 is fixed to the terminal block fixing part 36 by a screw member 38, but the invention is not limited to this. The terminal block 35 may also be fixed to the terminal block fixing part 36 by an engagement mechanism such as a claw. In this case, the plurality of holding parts 40 are provided so that the protruding parts such as claws do not come into contact with the electric wires 32a and 32b.
[0072] The air conditioner 1 described in the above embodiment may be an air conditioner that adjusts the room temperature by circulating a liquid that exchanges heat with a refrigerant, such as water.
[0073] Although examples have been described above, the examples are not limited to those described above. Furthermore, the components described above include those that can be easily imagined by a person skilled in the art, those that are substantially the same, and those that are equivalent. Moreover, the components described above can be combined as appropriate. Furthermore, at least one of the various omissions, substitutions, and modifications of the components can be made without departing from the gist of the examples.
