[0012] The embodiments for carrying out the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. (Operating principle of the information processing device according to this embodiment)
[0013] The operating principle of the information processing device (hereinafter simply referred to as "this device") 100 according to this embodiment will be explained using Figures 1 and 2. Figure 1 is a diagram showing the connection relationship between this device 100 and other devices, and Figure 2 is a functional block diagram of this device 100.
[0014] As shown in Figure 1, the device 100 is connected to a user terminal 280 via a communication network 300. The communication network 300 can be either wired or wireless. The user terminal 280 can be any computer with communication capabilities, but it is preferably a mobile information terminal such as a smartphone. The device 100 is also connected to a server 310 managed by another business operator. As shown in Figure 2, the device 100 includes a target application storage means 110, a user terminal information acquisition means 120, an application identification means 130, and an advertising implementation means 140.
[0015] The target application storage means 110 stores a list of target applications 230, which are software applications (hereinafter simply referred to as "applications") 220 capable of delivering advertisements 210. The target applications 230 are applications installed on the user terminal 280 that are capable of receiving advertisements 210, and the advertisements 210 notified to the advertising application 230 are viewed by the user 270 via the display device provided on the user terminal 280.
[0016] The user terminal information acquisition means 120 acquires user terminal identification information 290, which is information collected by the user terminal 280 and used to identify the user terminal 280 when notifying an advertisement 210 specifying the user terminal 280 and the target application 230 installed on the user terminal 280, and information 250 regarding the usage time of each application 220 installed on the user terminal 280, in association with each other.
[0017] The user terminal identification information 290 is information used to identify the user terminal 280 when an advertisement 210 is notified to an application 220 (230) installed on the user terminal 280, and is what is known as an advertisement ID (advertising identifier).
[0018] The information 250 regarding the usage time of app 220 preferably utilizes information regarding the battery consumption history of each app on the user terminal 280. The information 250 regarding the battery consumption history of each app is information regarding the usage time and percentage of battery usage for each app 220 installed on the user terminal 280. This information regarding the battery consumption history of each app can be displayed on the display device of the user terminal 280 by, for example, navigating to "Settings" → "Battery" → "Battery usage" on an Android® OS (Operating System).
[0019] Furthermore, the information 250 regarding the usage time of app 220 may preferably utilize information regarding the list of usage times for each app on the user terminal 280. The information regarding the list of usage times for each app is information regarding the usage time for each app 220 installed on the user terminal 280. This information regarding the list of usage times for each app can be accessed, for example, on the Android® OS, by navigating to "Settings" → "Apps" → "Usage Time," and it will be displayed as "Activity Details" on the display device of the user terminal 280.
[0020] The information acquired by the user terminal information acquisition means 120 is collected by an information collection application 240 installed on the user terminal 280, which has an information collection function.
[0021] Furthermore, the user terminal information acquisition means 120 may acquire user terminal identification information 290 collected by the user terminal 280 and information 250 regarding the usage time of the target application 230 in association with each other. Here, the information 250 regarding the usage time of the target application 230 does not cover all applications 220 installed on the user terminal 280, but is limited to information regarding the target application 230. The information collection application 240 has a list of target applications 230 and collects information 250 regarding the usage time of only the target application 230 among the applications 220 installed on the user terminal 280.
[0022] Furthermore, the user terminal information acquisition means 120 acquires user terminal identification information 290 collected by the user terminal 280, and information 260 on a predetermined number of apps 220 (target apps 230) in order of longest usage time, which is identified based on information 250 on the usage time of apps 220 (target apps 230) that can deliver advertisements 210 installed on the user terminal 280. This process makes it possible to identify target apps 230 that the user 270 frequently uses on the user terminal 280. The information collection app 240 has a list of target apps 230 and collects information 250 on usage time only for a predetermined number of target apps 230 among the apps 220 installed on the user terminal 280.
[0023] The application identification means 130 identifies a predetermined number of target applications 220 in descending order of usage time, based on the usage time information 250 for each application 220 obtained by the user terminal information acquisition means 120. The application identification means 130 refers to the information stored in the target application storage means 110 and identifies a predetermined number of target applications 230 in descending order of usage time, limited to the target applications 230 from among the applications 220 included in the usage time information 250. Through this process, the target applications 230 that the user 270 frequently uses on the user terminal 280 can be identified.
[0024] Furthermore, the application identification means 130 identifies a predetermined number of target applications 230 in order of longest usage time, based on the information 250 regarding the usage time of the target applications 230 obtained by the user terminal information acquisition means 120. Through this process, it is possible to identify the target applications 230 that the user 270 frequently uses on the user terminal 280.
[0025] The advertising implementation means 140 performs processing to deliver advertisements 210 to a predetermined number of applications 220 (230) identified by the application identification means 130, by specifying the user terminal identification information 290 obtained by the user terminal information acquisition means 120. The processing to deliver advertisements 210 may take the form of one business operator, which is the administrator of this device 100, delivering the advertisements 210 itself, or one business operator may request another business operator to deliver the advertisements 210. By delivering advertisements 210 to target applications 230 that are frequently used by the user 270 on the user terminal 280, the likelihood of the advertisements 210 being seen by the user 270 can be increased, thereby improving the efficiency of the advertisements 210.
[0026] Based on the above operating principle, this device 100 can increase the likelihood that consumers, the users 270 at the distribution destination, will see the advertisement 210, thereby improving the efficiency of the advertisement 210. (Hardware configuration of the information processing device according to this embodiment)
[0027] An example of the hardware configuration of the device 100 will be explained using Figure 3. Figure 3 is a diagram showing an example of the hardware configuration of the device 100. [0030] The communication interface 550 is an interface for exchanging data with other devices 280 and 310 that connect to a communication network 300 such as a wired or wireless LAN (Local Area Network) or the Internet and provide communication functions.
[0031] The input device 560 is a device for inputting data into the main device 100, such as a keyboard. The display device (output device) 570 is a device consisting of an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) or the like, and functions as a user interface when the user uses the functions of the main device 100 or makes various settings. The storage medium I / F 580 is an interface for sending and receiving data with storage media 590 such as CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, and USB memory.
[0032] Each of the means of this device 100 may be realized by the CPU 510 executing a program corresponding to each means stored in the ROM 520 or auxiliary storage device 540. Alternatively, each of the means of this device 100 may be realized by the processing related to each means being implemented as hardware. Alternatively, the program according to the present invention may be read from an external server device via the communication I / F 550, or read from a storage medium 590 via the storage medium I / F 580, and the device 100 may execute the program. (Example of processing by the information processing device according to this embodiment) (1) Example of processing when the application identification means 130 is required
[0033] Using Figure 4, we will explain an example of processing by the device 100, specifically when an application identification means 130 is required. Figure 4 is a flowchart showing the flow of processing in an example of processing by the device 100, specifically when an application identification means 130 is required.
[0034] In S10, the user terminal information acquisition means 120 acquires user terminal identification information 290 and information 250 regarding the usage time of each application 220 installed on the user terminal 280, associating them together. Here, the user terminal identification information 290 is information used to identify the user terminal 280 when specifying the application 220 (230) installed on the user terminal 280 to notify the advertisement 210, and is what is known as an advertisement ID (advertising identifier).
[0035] Furthermore, the user terminal information acquisition means 120 may acquire user terminal identification information 290 collected by the user terminal 280 and information 250 regarding the usage time of the target application 230 in association with each other. Here, the information 250 regarding the usage time of the target application 230 is not limited to all applications 220 installed on the user terminal 280, but is limited to information relating to the target application 230.
[0036] In S20, the application identification means 130 identifies a predetermined number of target applications 220 in descending order of usage time, based on the information 250 regarding the usage time of each application 220 acquired in S10. The application identification means 130 refers to the information stored in the target application storage means 110 and identifies a predetermined number of target applications 230 in descending order of usage time, limited to the target applications 230 from among the applications 220 included in the usage time information 250. Through this process, the target applications 230 that the user 270 frequently uses can be identified on the user terminal 280.
[0037] Furthermore, the application identification means 130 may also identify a predetermined number of target applications 230 in order of longest usage time, based on information 250 regarding the usage time of the target applications 230 acquired by the user terminal information acquisition means 120. This process makes it possible to identify target applications 230 that are frequently used by the user 270 on the user terminal 280.
[0038] In S30, the advertising implementation means 140 performs processing to deliver advertisements 210 to a predetermined number of applications 220 (230) identified in S20, specifying the user terminal identification information 290 acquired in S10. Here, the processing to deliver advertisements 210 may take the form of one business operator, which is the administrator of this device 100, delivering the advertisements 210 itself, or one business operator may request another business operator to deliver the advertisements 210. By delivering advertisements 210 to target applications 230 that are frequently used by the user 270 on the user terminal 280, the likelihood of the advertisements 210 being seen by the user 270 can be increased, thereby improving the efficiency of the advertisements 210.
[0039] By performing the above processing, the device 100 can increase the likelihood that the consumer user 270 will see the advertisement 210, thereby increasing the efficiency of the advertisement 210. (2) Example of processing when the app identification means 130 is not required
[0040] Using Figure 5, we will explain an example of processing by the device 100 in a case where the application identification means 130 is not required. Figure 4 is a flowchart showing the flow of processing in an example of processing by the device 100 in a case where the application identification means 130 is not required.
[0041] In S110, user terminal information acquisition means 120 acquires, in association with each other, user terminal identification information 290 collected by a user terminal 280, and information 260 related to a predetermined number of applications 220 (target applications 230) that are identified in descending order of usage time based on information 250 related to usage time of an application 220 (target application 230) in which an advertisement 210 installed on the user terminal 280 can be distributed. Through this processing, the target application 230 frequently used by a user 270 in the user terminal 280 can be identified.
[0042] Note that the information acquired by the user terminal information acquisition means 120 is collected by an information collection application 240 that is installed on the user terminal 280 and has an information collection function. The information collection application 240 includes list information of the target applications 230, and collects information 250 related to usage time by limiting to a predetermined number of target applications 230 among the applications 220 installed on the user terminal 280.
[0043] In S120, advertisement execution means 140 performs processing for distributing an advertisement 210 by designating the user terminal identification information 290 acquired in S110 to the predetermined number of applications 220 (230) acquired in S110. Here, the processing for distributing the advertisement 210 may be in a form where one business operator, who is the administrator of the present apparatus 100, distributes the advertisement 210 by itself, or may be in a form where one business operator requests another business operator to distribute the advertisement 210. By distributing the advertisement 210 to the target application 230 frequently used by the user 270 in the user terminal 280, the possibility that the advertisement 210 will be seen by the user 270 can be improved, thereby increasing the efficiency of the advertisement 210.
[0044] By performing the processing as described above, the present apparatus 100 can increase the possibility that the user 270 as a consumer who is a distribution destination will see the advertisement 210, thereby increasing the efficiency of the advertisement 210.
