[0010] The skin is an important organ responsible for various physiological functions, such as protecting the human body from the external environment, acting as a barrier to prevent internal moisture and beneficial components from leaking out, regulating body temperature, and excretion.
[0011] However, as human skin is the outermost part of the body that comes into direct contact with the outside world, it is continuously subjected to the direct effects of oxidation and continues to age.
[0012] The factors causing skin aging can be divided into internal and external factors. Aging caused by internal factors includes intrinsic aging, which occurs when the secretion of various hormones regulating metabolism decreases and the function and activity of immune and skin cells decline, leading to a reduction in the biosynthesis of necessary immune and essential proteins. On the other hand, aging caused by external factors includes photoaging, which is caused by ultraviolet rays and pollutants such as pollution, wind, and temperature.
[0013] As aging occurs, skin cells are damaged, pigmentation occurs, wrinkles increase, elasticity decreases, and skin dryness intensifies; furthermore, the direct functions of the skin's major components are lost, leading to the appearance of melasma, freckles, and age spots.
[0014] Recently, as awareness of plant-derived natural ingredients has increased, there has been active interest and research into technologies utilizing extracts from various medicinal and edible plants—which contain large amounts of bioactive substances with minimal side effects and harm to the human body—in whitening cosmetics. Consequently, the development of pharmaceuticals, bio-products, and cosmetics utilizing natural materials is following suit.
[0015] However, its use is restricted due to insufficient whitening effects, skin safety concerns, and stability issues within formulations when incorporated into cosmetics. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop cosmetic formulations that satisfy the demands of consumers seeking natural products.
[0016] Meanwhile, Galyanggang (scientific name: Alpinia officinarum) is a plant belonging to the ginger family and is also called Yanggang. Its seeds are called Hongdugu, and they are used as a medicinal herb along with the roots. Galyanggang has a rhizome that is cylindrical in shape, mostly curved and branched, measuring 5 to 9 cm in length and 10 to 15 mm in diameter. The outer surface is reddish-brown with fine, dense longitudinal wrinkles, and features dark brown, wavy bypass nodes. The internodes are 2 to 10 mm long, and one side bears a round root scar. The texture is hard and tough, and it does not break easily. The broken surface is grayish-brown or reddish-brown and fibrous, with the central column occupying about one-third of the total volume.
[0017] When viewing a cross-section of galangal under a microscope, the outermost layer consists of the epidermis, and the epidermal cells sometimes contain dendritic material. The cuticle and the center are composed of parenchyma tissue, separated by the endothelium, and scattered vascular bundles surrounded by fibers. The parenchyma tissue contains scattered parenchyma cells containing brown oily material, and these cells contain calcium oxalate crystals and starch granules. The starch granules are mainly simple, but complex starch granules are also present. Galangal has a distinctive odor and a very spicy taste.
[0018] The objective of the present invention is to identify a component having whitening activity from the natural product galangal, establish optimal extraction conditions, and provide a whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract and a method for manufacturing the same, which can maximize whitening function by utilizing the whitening functional galangal extract as an active ingredient in the whitening soothing ampoule composition.

[0044]
[0045] Hereinafter, a whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the attached drawings.
[0046] Figure 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating the whitening mechanism of galangal powder discovered during the process of devising the present invention.
[0047] As shown in FIG. 1, a whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract according to an embodiment of the present invention contains galangal extract as an active ingredient.
[0048] This galangal extract has a whitening mechanism. In this case, the galangal extract used is obtained by immersing 50 to 150 g of galangal powder in 2,000 ml of water, heating, and then filtering. More preferably, the galangal extract is obtained by immersing 80 to 120 g of galangal powder in 2,000 ml of water.
[0049] When preparing this galangal extract, it is preferable to soak the galangal powder in water for a soaking time of 6 to 24 hours, and more preferably for 15 to 20 hours.
[0050]
[0051] A whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract according to an embodiment of the present invention contains galangal extract as an active ingredient and is added in an amount of 1 to 10 weight% relative to 100 weight% of the total whitening soothing ampoule composition.
[0052] More specifically, a whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises 1 to 10 weight% galangal extract, 15 to 25 weight% anti-aging agent, 0.1 to 3 weight% surfactant, 20 to 40 weight% organic solvent, 0.05 to 1 weight% pH adjuster, 0.1 to 5 weight% skin conditioning agent, and the remainder being purified water.
[0053]
[0054] Galangal extract is added as an active ingredient to the composition of a whitening soothing ampoule to maximize the whitening function and maintain clear and transparent skin. It is preferable to add 1 to 10 weight percent of this galangal extract based on 100 weight percent of the total composition of the whitening soothing ampoule, and more preferable to add 4 to 6 weight percent. If the amount of galangal extract added is less than 1 weight percent, it may be difficult to maximize the whitening function due to the low amount; if the amount of galangal extract added exceeds 10 weight percent, it is undesirable as it may reduce the stability of the formulation.
[0055]
[0056] Antioxidants are added to form a moisturizing barrier on the inside and outside of the skin to supply moisture to the skin and maintain a hydrated state, thereby exhibiting the functions of wrinkle improvement and anti-aging. Such antioxidants include one or more selected from ascorbic acid, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, tocopheryl acetate, and arbutin.
[0057] It is preferable that such an anti-aging agent be added in an amount of 15 to 25 weight% based on 100 weight% of the total composition of the whitening soothing ampoule, and more preferable that it be added in an amount of 20 to 24 weight%. If the amount of the anti-aging agent added is less than 15 weight%, it may be difficult to properly exhibit wrinkle improvement and anti-aging effects, and if the amount of the anti-aging agent added is excessively in excess of 25 weight%, it is undesirable as it may reduce the stability of the formulation.
[0058]
[0059] Surfactants lower the surface tension of particles to form smaller particle sizes and serve to stably solubilize hydrophilic components in water. Surfactants may include one or more selected from polyethylene glycol ether, sodium stearoyl glutamate, sodium lauryl glutamate, glyceryl stearate citrate, and distearyl dimonium chloride.
[0060] It is preferable that such surfactants be added in an amount of 0.1 to 3 weight% based on 100 weight% of the total composition of the whitening soothing ampoule, and more preferable that they be added in an amount of 0.3 to 1.0 weight%. If the amount of surfactant added is less than 0.1 weight%, the stabilization effect may be negligible when applied as a formulation, so particle formation may not occur, and if the amount of surfactant added is excessively added in an amount exceeding 3 weight%, there is a risk of skin irritation.
[0061]
[0062] Organic solvents may include, but are not limited to, one selected from propanediol, 1-2-hexanediol, phenoxyethanol, propylene glycol, and dipropylene glycol, and may be used without limitation as long as they are used in the relevant technical field.
[0063] It is preferable that such organic solvents be added in an amount of 20 to 40 weight% based on 100 weight% of the total composition of the whitening soothing ampoule, and more preferable that they be added in an amount of 30 to 35 weight%. If the amount of organic solvent added is less than 20 weight%, the spreadability and moisturizing feel may be reduced, and if the amount of organic solvent added is excessively high, exceeding 40 weight%, it may be difficult to ensure formulation stability.
[0064]
[0065] pH adjusters are added to the composition of the whitening soothing ampoule to adjust the pH. The pH adjusters may include one or more selected from sodium citrate, KOH, NaOH, tetraethylammonium, alginate, etc., but are not limited thereto.
[0066] It is preferable that such a pH adjuster be added in an amount of 0.05 to 1 weight% based on 100 weight% of the total composition of the whitening soothing ampoule, and more preferable that it be added in an amount of 0.1 to 0.5 weight%. If the amount of pH adjuster added is less than 0.05 weight%, the amount added is negligible and may make pH adjustment difficult, and if the amount of pH adjuster added exceeds 1 weight%, it may make it difficult to ensure formulation stability.
[0067]
[0068] Skin conditioning agents not only increase the moisture content of the skin's surface layer and make the skin soft and smooth, but also form a barrier on the skin's surface to inhibit moisture loss and restore skin elasticity, thereby improving dry or damaged skin tissue.
[0069] These skin conditioning agents may include one or more selected from retinol, Coptis japonica root extract, Crinum asiaticum extract, snail mucus filtrate, Arnica montana flower extract, burdock root extract, garlic extract, pine needle extract, rosemary leaf extract, Matricaria extract, tangerine peel extract, tea tree extract, kelp extract, broccoli extract, Codonopsis pilosula root extract, Chrysanthemum zawadskii extract, Witch hazel leaf extract, allantoin, ethylhexylglycerin, and adenosine.
[0070] It is preferable that the skin conditioning agent be added in an amount of 0.1 to 5 weight% based on 100 weight% of the total composition of the whitening soothing ampoule, and more preferable that it be added in an amount of 1.5 to 3.5 weight%. If the amount of skin conditioning agent added is less than 0.1 weight%, the amount added is negligible, making it difficult to properly exert the effect of the skin conditioning agent; and if the amount of skin conditioning agent added exceeds 5 weight%, it may be difficult to ensure formulation stability.
[0071]
[0072] Purified water is used to dissolve active ingredients and may be water obtained through one or more distillations or purified through a filter.
[0073]
[0074] In addition, the whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract according to an embodiment of the present invention may further include one or more selected from 0.01 to 0.5 weight% of a thickening agent, 0.05 to 0.3 weight% of a fragrance, 0.03 to 0.5 weight% of a binder, 0.001 to 0.1 weight% of a chelating agent, and 0.01 to 0.2 weight% of a reducing agent.
[0075] Thickeners serve to increase the viscosity of the whitening soothing ampoule composition. These thickeners may include one or more selected from carbomer, acrylate, acrylate / C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, xanthan gum, and cellulose gum.
[0076] It is preferable that such a thickening agent be added in an amount of 0.01 to 0.5 weight% based on 100 weight% of the total composition of the whitening soothing ampoule, and more preferable that it be added in an amount of 0.05 to 0.3 weight%. If the amount of the thickening agent added is less than 0.01 weight%, there is a concern that it may not properly perform its role as a viscosity increasing agent because the amount added is negligible, and if the amount of the thickening agent added exceeds 0.5 weight%, the viscosity of the whitening soothing ampoule composition may become excessively high, causing stickiness.
[0077] Fragrances serve to impart various scents to cosmetic compositions. Fragrances may be used without restriction as long as they are commonly used in the relevant technical field.
[0078] It is preferable that the fragrance be added in an amount of 0.05 to 0.3 weight% based on 100 weight% of the total composition of the whitening soothing ampoule. If the amount of fragrance added is less than 0.05 weight%, there is a concern that the scent may not last for a long time when the whitening soothing ampoule composition is applied to the user's skin. If the amount of fragrance added exceeds 0.3 weight%, it is not desirable as it may act as a factor that only increases manufacturing costs without further enhancing the effect.
[0079] The binder serves to strengthen the liquid crystal wall film by forming a gel network structure of the whitening soothing ampoule composition. One or more binders selected from pullulan, PVP, etc. may be used, but are not limited thereto.
[0080] It is preferable that such a binder be added in an amount of 0.03 to 0.5 weight% based on 100 weight% of the total composition of the whitening soothing ampoule. If the amount of binder added is less than 0.03 weight%, there is a risk that the liquid crystal formation will not be distinct because the amount added is negligible, and if the amount of binder added exceeds 0.5 weight%, there is a risk that the viscosity will increase excessively and the sticky feeling will increase, so this is not desirable.
[0081] Chelating agents can be used without limitation as long as they are components capable of binding to and inactivating metallic ions that adversely affect stability or properties. Chelating agents may include disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate (EDTA-2Na), citric acid anhydride, sodium citrate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate anhydride, sodium metaphosphate, etc. It is preferable that such chelating agents be added in an amount of 0.001 to 0.1 weight% based on 100 weight% of the total composition of the whitening soothing ampoule.
[0082] Reducing agents enhance the activity of active ingredients in the skin by supplying hydrogen atoms or removing oxygen, and not only play a role in eliminating reactive oxygen species generated during metabolic processes and providing antioxidant effects, but also exhibit wrinkle improvement effects. It is preferable that such reducing agents consist of glutathione.
[0083] It is preferable that such a reducing agent be added in an amount of 0.01 to 0.2 weight% based on 100 weight% of the total composition of the whitening soothing ampoule.
[0084]
[0085] To summarize, the whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract according to an embodiment of the present invention can maximize the whitening function by identifying a component with whitening activity from the natural product galangal, establishing optimal extraction conditions, and utilizing the whitening functional galangal extract in the whitening soothing ampoule composition.
[0086] As a result, the whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract according to the embodiment of the present invention exhibits excellent whitening improvement effects without adverse skin reactions when the galangal extract is added to the whitening soothing ampoule composition, because the component having whitening activity in galangal was identified and optimal extraction conditions were established.
[0087]
[0088] Hereinafter, a method for preparing a whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described.
[0089] FIG. 2 is a process flowchart illustrating a method for preparing a whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0090] As shown in FIG. 2, a method for preparing a whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a galangal grinding step (S110), a soaking solution forming step (S120), a soaking solution heating step (S130), a galangal extract obtaining step (S140), and a whitening soothing ampoule composition forming step (S150).
[0091]
[0092] Galangal crushing step (S110)
[0093] In the galangal crushing step (S110), galangal is crushed to form galangal powder.
[0094] Grinding can be performed by using a grinder to grind the material into thin particles, but is not limited to this.
[0095]
[0096] Immersion solution formation step (S120)
[0097] In the immersion solution formation step (S120), galangal powder is immersed in water to form an immersion solution.
[0098] It is advisable to use purified water for immersion.
[0099] It is preferable to prepare this soaking solution by soaking 50 to 150 g of galangal powder in 2,000 ml of water for 6 to 24 hours. More preferably, it is preferable to prepare the soaking solution by soaking 80 to 120 g of galangal powder in 2,000 ml of water for 15 to 20 hours.
[0100]
[0101] Heating step of the immersion solution (S130)
[0102] In the soaking solution heating step (S130), the soaking solution is heated to extract the galangal component.
[0103] When heating the immersion solution, it is preferable to perform the process at a temperature of 60 to 110°C for 4 to 10 hours. More preferably, when heating the immersion solution, it is preferable to perform the process at a temperature of 80 to 100°C for 6 to 8 hours.
[0104]
[0105] Step of obtaining galangal extract (S140)
[0106] In the step of obtaining galangal extract (S140), the steeped liquid is filtered to obtain galangal extract.
[0107] When filtering such immersion liquid, it is more desirable to perform vacuum filtration.
[0108]
[0109] Step of forming a whitening soothing ampoule composition (S150)
[0110] In the step of forming the whitening soothing ampoule composition (S150), an anti-aging agent, an organic solvent, a pH adjuster, a surfactant, a skin conditioning agent, and the remaining amount of purified water are added to the galangal extract and stirred to form the whitening soothing ampoule composition.
[0111] In this step, it is preferable to perform stirring at a speed of 1,500 to 3,500 rpm for 30 to 90 minutes under conditions of 60 to 80°C. When stirring, if the heating temperature is below 60°C, it is difficult for each component to completely dissolve, and if the heating temperature exceeds 80°C, it may cause problems such as increased manufacturing costs due to excessive energy consumption.
[0112] In addition, if the stirring speed is less than 1,500 rpm or the stirring time is less than 30 minutes, the components may not be completely dissolved, making it difficult to ensure dispersibility. If the stirring speed exceeds 3,500 rpm or the stirring time exceeds 90 minutes, it may act as a factor that only increases manufacturing costs without any further effect, making it uneconomical.
[0113] When stirring, it is more desirable to perform ultrasonic treatment at a frequency of 20 to 40 KHz and an output voltage of 5 to 15 W, in order to further improve the solubility of each component. When ultrasonics are applied, if the frequency is less than 20 KHz or the output voltage is less than 5 W, the cavitation effect caused by the application of ultrasonics is negligible, making it difficult to properly exhibit the effect of improving solubility; and if the frequency of ultrasonics exceeds 40 KHz or the output voltage exceeds 15 W, there is a risk that each component may be damaged due to excessive ultrasonic application, so this is not desirable.
[0114] In this step, the whitening soothing ampoule composition preferably comprises 1 to 10 weight% of galangal extract, 15 to 25 weight% of an anti-aging agent, 0.1 to 3 weight% of a surfactant, 20 to 40 weight% of an organic solvent, 0.05 to 1 weight% of a pH adjuster, 0.1 to 5 weight% of a skin conditioning agent, and the remainder being purified water.
[0115] In addition, the whitening soothing ampoule composition may further include one or more selected from 0.01 to 0.5 weight% of a thickening agent, 0.05 to 0.3 weight% of a fragrance, 0.03 to 0.5 weight% of a binder, 0.001 to 0.1 weight% of a chelating agent, and 0.01 to 0.2 weight% of a reducing agent.
[0116]
[0117] A whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract prepared by the method according to an embodiment of the present invention can maximize the whitening function by identifying a component with whitening activity from the natural product galangal, establishing optimal extraction conditions, and utilizing the whitening functional galangal extract in the whitening soothing ampoule composition.
[0118] As a result, the whitening soothing ampoule composition formulated with a whitening functional galangal extract prepared by the method according to the embodiment of the present invention exhibits excellent whitening improvement effects without adverse skin reactions when the galangal extract is added to the whitening soothing ampoule composition, because the component having whitening activity in galangal was identified and optimal extraction conditions were established.
[0119]
