Description

Lighting device for displays

[0001] The present invention relates to a lighting device for a display, and more specifically, to a lighting device for a display in which a panel on which a light source element is mounted is injection-molded into a grid-shaped plane and then bent to correspond to the shape of the display housing so as to be mounted in the housing.

[0002] As injection molding technology advances, it has become possible to inject various shapes, and accordingly, the diverse injection molded shapes that can be manufactured enhance the quality and characteristics of products and determine product competitiveness.

[0003] However, not all three-dimensional shapes can be injected, and depending on the core configuration of the injection mold, there are difficulties in realizing the shape due to undercuts and drafts.

[0004] In the case of a panel for mounting light source elements in a display, holes for mounting multiple light source elements are formed, and the panel must be formed with a stable structure so that it can be coupled to a housing and maintain its shape.

[0005] In particular, when applying a conventional general mold structure as shown in FIG. 12 to manufacture a panel corresponding to the curved shape of a display, not only is it impossible to produce it by injection molding while maintaining the original shape and spacing due to the draft angle and undercut, but even if a slide core is used, the reverse draft angle (D2 <D1)로 인해 곡선 형상의 패널을 사출할 수 없는 문제점이 있다.

[0006] The background technology of the present invention is disclosed in Korean Published Patent Application No. 10-2023-0139837 (Published on October 6, 2023; Title of Invention: LED lighting device for display and method for manufacturing the same).

[0007] The present invention aims to provide a lighting device for a display capable of injecting a panel, on which a light source element is mounted, into a grid-shaped plane.

[0008] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a lighting device for a display that can realize display products of various curved shapes by allowing the panel to be bent and mounted to correspond to the shape of the display housing.

[0009] A lighting device for a display according to the present invention may include a housing, a lighting mounting panel part having a plurality of openings and bent into a shape corresponding to the housing and coupled to the housing, and a light-emitting module part having a plurality of light source elements inserted into the openings.

[0010] The lighting-mounted panel portion may include a base portion having a partition line portion such that a plurality of the openings are arranged in a matrix, and a panel coupling portion protruding from at least one side of the base portion and coupled to the housing.

[0011] The above bulkhead line section may include a plurality of first panel lines spaced apart, a plurality of second panel lines spaced apart and connected to the first panel lines, and a plurality of intersection lines where the first panel lines and the second panel lines intersect.

[0012] The above lighting-mounted panel portion may further include a plurality of core portions protruding vertically from the plurality of the above intersection lines to the base portion.

[0013] The above core portion can be formed in a cross shape.

[0014] Multiple core parts may be spaced apart.

[0015] The above opening can be formed by the first panel line and the second panel line.

[0016] The light source element can be coupled to each of the above openings.

[0017] The above opening can be formed in a square shape.

[0018] The above housing may include a housing body spaced apart from the lighting-mounted panel part and a housing insert part into which the panel coupling part is inserted.

[0019] The above panel coupling part can be coupled to the housing insert part in a sliding manner.

[0020] A lighting device for a display according to the present invention can mount a panel on which a light source element is mounted by injecting it into a grid-shaped plane and then bending it to correspond to the shape of the display housing.

[0021] Accordingly, it is possible to implement flexible shapes that are difficult to realize with conventional flat shapes, and to manufacture display products with various curved designs.

[0047] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, a lighting device for a display according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a housing (10), a lighting mounting panel part (20), and a light-emitting module part (30).

[0048] The housing (10) is a component that forms the external structure of a lighting device for a display according to the present invention, provides safety and robustness of the lighting device, and provides a basic frame on which a display is mounted. For example, the housing (10) is designed to be installed on a game device or a wall so that the display is stably fixed in that location. As illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 3, the housing (10) may be formed in a shape such that the lighting mounting panel part is formed in a curved shape, and a circuit board, etc., provided in the light-emitting module part (30) may be embedded in the space formed between the housing (10) and the lighting mounting panel part.

[0049] The housing (10) may include a housing body (110) and a housing insert (120).

[0050] The housing body (110) is positioned spaced apart from the lighting mounting panel part (20). For example, the housing body (110) provides a space where electronic components or wiring constituting the light-emitting module part (30) can be stably mounted. Additionally, the housing body (110) can be designed in various shapes and sizes so that the lighting device for a display according to the present invention can be appropriately installed in an environment such as a game device or a wall. For example, when attached to a wall, it may be designed in a shape close to the wall to save space, and in a game environment, it may be designed in a mixed shape of straight lines and curves depending on the size or placement of the screen.

[0051] A panel coupling portion (230) of a lighting-mounted panel portion (20) is inserted into the housing insertion portion (120), and will be described later along with the description of the lighting-mounted panel portion (20).

[0052] The lighting-mounted panel portion (20) is provided with a plurality of openings (210) and is bent into a shape corresponding to the housing (10) and coupled to the housing (10). For example, the lighting-mounted panel portion (20) is injection-molded into a grid-shaped planar structure to efficiently arrange light source elements (310) and enable a uniform distribution of light. The plurality of openings (210) formed in the lighting-mounted panel portion (20) form a specific arrangement to constitute the screen of the display.

[0053] As the lighting mounting panel part (20) is formed in a flat structure and is provided with multiple core parts (240) formed spaced apart from each other, the lighting mounting panel part (20) has flexibility and can be bent and adjusted into a curved shape. Through this, the shape can be deformed into a curved shape corresponding to the housing (10) as well as a general flat shape, so that even if the lighting device for a display according to the present invention is configured as a mixed shape of straight lines and curves, it can provide a display environment to the user without interruption in the curved area.

[0054] The light-emitting module (30) is provided with a plurality of light source elements (310) inserted into the opening (210). For example, the circuit board of the light-emitting module (30) is mounted inside the housing (10), and the light source elements (310) connected to the circuit board are coupled to each of the openings (210).

[0055] As light source elements (310) are combined with each of the openings (210) and arranged in a regular array, uniformly distributed light can be provided, and brightness uniformity can be maintained so that no specific area becomes brighter or darker on the lighting-mounted panel part (20).

[0056] FIGS. 4 to 11 are drawings illustrating a lighting mounting panel part (20) of a lighting device for a display according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0057] Referring to FIGS. 4 to 11, the lighting-mounted panel part (20) may include an opening (210), a base part (220), a panel joining part (230), and a core part (240).

[0058] The openings (210) are multiple holes or gaps provided in the lighting-mounted panel section (20) and provide a space into which a light source element (310) is inserted. The arrangement and size of the openings (210) may be changed depending on the type of light source element (310) to be combined, the area and resolution of the lighting-mounted panel section (20), etc.

[0059] The base section (220) is provided with a partition line section so that a plurality of openings (210) are arranged in a matrix. For example, the base section (220) may include a first panel line (221), a second panel line (222), and an intersection line (223) to reinforce the arrangement of the openings (210) and the strength of the panel in the lighting-mounted panel section (20), and to maintain structural stability.

[0060] The first panel lines (221) are provided in multiple numbers and are spaced apart at regular intervals in the first direction. At this time, it is preferable that the spacing of the first panel lines (221) be formed to correspond to the size of the light source element (310) coupled to the opening (210).

[0061] The second panel line (222) is provided in multiple numbers and is spaced apart at regular intervals in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, which is the direction of the first panel line (221). At this time, it is preferable that the spacing of the second panel line (222) be formed to correspond to the size of the light source element (310) coupled to the opening (210).

[0062] The intersection line (223) is provided in multiple numbers and is a line in the area where the first panel line (221) and the second panel line (222) intersect. For example, the intersection line (223) forms a grid shape at the point where the first panel line (221) and the second panel line (222) meet, and the openings (210) can be accurately positioned based on this intersection line (223). The intersection line (223) allows the openings (210) to be regularly aligned within the bulkhead line section.

[0063] The above-described first panel line (221), second panel line (222), and intersection line (223) are formed to form a flat plane, and the opening (210) can be formed, for example, by having the first panel line (221) positioned on the left and right sides and the second panel line (222) positioned on the upper and lower sides.

[0064] The panel coupling portion (230) protrudes from at least one side of the base portion (220) and is coupled to the housing (10). For example, the panel coupling portion (230) is inserted into the housing body (110) so that the lighting-mounted panel portion (20) can be coupled to the housing (10). The panel coupling portion (230) protrudes from the base portion (220) so as to correspond to an area connected to the housing insert portion (120) formed in the housing body (110), and as the panel coupling portion (230) is coupled to the housing insert portion (120) in a sliding manner, it facilitates the installation and maintenance of the lighting-mounted panel portion (20) in the housing (10).

[0065] Referring to FIG. 2, the panel coupling portion (230) may have a coupling projection (231) protruding from at least one side, and the housing insertion portion (120) may have a projection insertion portion (121) having a shape corresponding to the coupling projection (231). Accordingly, after the panel coupling portion (230) is slidably coupled to the housing insertion portion (120), the structural coupling of the coupling projection (231) and the projection insertion portion (121) prevents the lighting mounting panel portion (20) from being uncoupled from the housing (10) in a direction other than the sliding coupling direction.

[0066] The core portion (240) protrudes perpendicularly from the base portion (220) from each of the multiple intersection lines (223). At this time, the core portion (240) is formed to protrude from the back surface of the base portion (220). The back surface of the base portion (220) refers to the direction facing the housing (10), and the front surface refers to the direction in which the light of the optical element is emitted. That is, the core portion (240) protrudes perpendicularly from the base portion (220) at the intersection line (223) on the back surface of the base portion (220), and as the core portion (240) protrudes from the base portion (220), it helps to increase the intensity of the lighting-mounted panel portion (20) and to ensure that the light source element (310) is accurately positioned.

[0067] The above-described opening (210) is formed in a square shape so that each opening (210) maintains a regular and aligned form, and depending on the arrangement and shape characteristics of the core part (240) and the opening (210), the lighting mounting panel part (20) can be bent to form a curved shape. That is, the structure in which the core part (240) protrudes in a cross shape and the arrangement of the square openings (210) allow the lighting mounting panel part (20) to be flexibly bent, thereby providing flexibility for the display device to be transformed from a flat shape into a curved shape, and enabling bending to realize various shapes and designs.

[0068] Although the present invention has been described with reference to the embodiments illustrated in the drawings, this is merely illustrative, and those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications and equivalent alternative embodiments are possible therefrom.

[0069] Therefore, the technical scope of protection of the present invention should be determined by the following patent claims.
