Abstract
Description
[0001] TWO-PIECE UNIVERSAL OPERATING ROOM CEILING LAMP COVER
[0002] Technological Field:
[0003] The present invention relates to operating room ceiling lamp covers that allow the control of operating room ceiling lamps in a sterile and contamination-free manner.
[0004] In particular, the present invention relates to a new operating room ceiling light cover that is designed and manufactured in two pieces and is compatible with operating room ceiling lights of all sizes.
[0005] State of the Art:
[0006] Operating room ceiling lamp covers are products that allow the use of operating room ceiling lamps without allowing cross contamination on the operator's side. Operating room ceiling lamp covers are sterile. For this reason, it should be used in operating rooms. The invention subject to the description is related to the covers mentioned here.
[0007] Operating room ceiling lamp covers have tabs that fit into the ceiling lamp handles. These tabs have two groups to be compatible with handles of different sizes. For example, in application number 2023 / 008579, there is a lower tab group and an upper tab group. These tab groups have different lengths. In this way, when the handle size is small, one group of nails can grip the handle, while when it is large, the other group of tabs or both of them can grip the handle.
[0008] In the application numbered 2023 / 008579, the lower tab group and the upper tab group were produced in one piece. This situation causes productiondifficulties. Another disadvantage is that it cannot fit ceiling lamp holders of different sizes or ceiling lamp parts that are new or will be released. Since they are a single piece product, the lower and upper tab groups must be produced from the same material. In this case, flexibility and rigidity adjustment cannot be made. The ability to manufacture the lower and upper tab groups from separate materials will pave the way for the use of one group for flexibility and the other for rigidity.
[0009] Operating room ceiling lamp covers are generally produced from rigid and semirigid plastic materials. Operating room ceiling lamp covers are generally produced in different sizes for operating room ceiling lamps of certain sizes and in order to use operating room ceiling lamps of different sizes, it is necessary to install an intermediate adapter piece on the operating room ceiling lamp. In other words, the body and cover of the operating room ceiling lamp covers are combined with an adapter or interconnection piece. This situation creates operational difficulties for operators and causes loss of time.
[0010] In the state of the art, ceiling lamp covers of different sizes are used for operating room ceiling lamps of different sizes. This situation, which stems from the need for the main body of the case to grip the ceiling lamp handle, has been overcome with designs containing tabs of different lengths on the body part. For example, in the US patent document numbered US7757352B2, which was encountered in the literature research, there are tab structures of different sizes, small and large, placed in a conical body. These tab structures grip ceiling lamp handles of different sizes, providing a usable structural cover for ceiling lamps of different sizes. However, these tab structures do not fit all operating room ceiling lamp covers due to their structure and size. The retaining tab structure carries the risk of tearing the protective flexible cover and creates a risk of contamination. For example, looking at drawing number 2 of the patent document numbered US7757352B2, it can be seen that the tabs numbered 34 are in contact with the cover numbered 24. In this case, the cover may tear. The same situation can be seen in drawing number 5 of the relevant patent. In theinvention subject to the description, a design that is both two-piece, universal (compatible with ceiling lamps of different sizes) and whose tab structures do not come into contact with the case has been put forward.
[0011] In the state of the art, two-piece operating room ceiling lamp covers are used. The biggest problem with these covers is that the upper and lower pieces separate from each other. The main reason for the separation is that the locking system that provides the connection between them is single-stage.
[0012] Consequently, an operating room ceiling lamp cover is required in which the state of the art is exceeded, the disadvantages are eliminated.
[0013] Brief Description of the Invention:
[0014] The invention is an operating room ceiling lamp cover which exceeds the state of the art, eliminates the disadvantages and has some additional features.
[0015] The object of the invention is to provide a fully universal operating theatre ceiling lamp cover, which can be adapted to all operating theatre ceiling lamps with essentially two-piece construction.
[0016] A further object of the present invention is to provide a ceiling light cover in which, thanks to the two-piece tab group structure, one of the tab groups is interchangeable to ensure compatibility with the ceiling light handle.
[0017] A further object of the present invention is to provide a ceiling light cover which, thanks to its two-piece tab group structure, can be configured (by means of material selection) so that one of the tab groups is rigid and the other is flexible.
[0018] A further object of the present invention is to provide a ceiling lamp cover in which, thanks to its two-piece tab group structure, the tab groups can be produced separately, thus facilitating production.A further object of the invention is to provide an operating theatre ceiling lamp cover in which the tabs on the body are positioned so as not to create a risk of puncture and contamination of the cover.
[0019] Another object of the invention is to provide an operating theatre ceiling lamp cover which eliminates the risk of contact and risk of contamination between the operator contact surface and the operating theatre ceiling lamp thanks to the two-piece sealed structure formed by the combination of the body and the cover.

[0043] A. Ceiling lamp handleDescription of the Invention:
[0044] In this detailed description, the inventive ceiling lamp cover (1) is described by means of examples only for clarifying the subject matter such that non-limiting effect is created.
[0045] Figure 1 shows the perspective view of the ceiling lamp cover (1) before installation. Accordingly, the invention consists of the body (10) and flexible cover (14) section. The flexible cover (14) is a sterile element made of plastic material that can be transparent, translucent and opaque, and has the capacity to stretch. Its function is to eliminate the risk of contamination by surrounding the operating room ceiling lamp. The body (10), on the other hand, is a sterile element made of plastic material that can be transparent, semi-transparent and opaque, allowing the flexible cover (14) to be mounted on the ceiling lamp. It has a conical form (101) in order to be compatible with the operating room ceiling lamp assembly. In the invention subject to the description, the body (10) and the flexible cover (14) are joined together in a leak-proof manner by at least one of the following methods: gluing, heat bonding, laser welding, ultrasonic welding or heat welding. The ceiling lamp cover (1) which is the subject of the invention includes a lower tab group (11) and an upper tab group (12). The function of the lower tab group (11) and the upper tab group (12) is to fix the ceiling lamp cover (1) to the ceiling lamp handle (A). (Figure 4, Figure 5)
[0046] The feature of the ceiling lamp cover (1) which is the subject of the invention is that the lower tab group (11) and the upper tab group (12) are designed in two pieces. In the invention, the lower tab group (11) is integrally formed with the body (10). The upper tab group (12) is installed on the body (10). Thanks to the two-piece tab group design;
[0047] • The production of the body (10) having both the upper tab group (12) and the lower tab group (11 ) is facilitated.
[0048] • The upper tab group (12) is interchangeable with versions that are compatible with ceiling lamp handles (A) of different sizes and shapes.• Likewise, in case of deformation or errors that may occur in the upper tab group (12), it is possible to perform maintenance by replacing only the upper tab group (12) and not the entire body (10), thanks to its replaceability. The same applies to the lower tab group (11). In case of deformation in the lower tab group (11), a solution can be found by changing only the body (10).
[0049] • In the invention, thanks to the two-piece design of the upper tab group (12) and the lower tab group (11), it has been possible to produce these parts from different materials. In this case, the lower tab group (11) can be manufactured from a rigid material to provide rigidity, and the upper tab group (12) can be manufactured from a flexible material to provide the necessary flexibility. The opposite of this situation is also possible. Similarly, for ceiling lamp handles (A) requiring a flexible upper tab group (12), the upper tab group (12) made of flexible material can be used, and for ceiling lamp handles (A) requiring rigidity, the upper tab group (12) made of rigid material can be used. In this way, functionality advantage is provided.
[0050] Figure 2 shows the sectional view of the ceiling lamp cover (1) which is the subject of the invention, and Figure 3 shows the detailed view. In the invention, the lower tab group (11) is formed as a single piece with the body (10). The lower tab group (11 ) consists of a lower tab group body (111), and a plurality of lower tabs (113) with flexibility are arranged on the inner wall of the lower tab group body (111). (Figure 1, Figure 3) In the invention, the function of both the lower tabs (113) and the upper tabs (124) to be mentioned in the following section is to fix the body (10) to the ceiling lamp handle (A). (Figure 4, Figure 5) On the outer wall of the lower tab group body (111), there is a protrusion (112) where the upper tab group (12) will be placed.
[0051] In the invention, the upper tab group (11) is a separate piece that can be mounted on the lower tab group (11) and the body (10), and consists of the upper tab group body (121). The upper tab group body (121) has an upper tabgroup base (122) at the ground section. Ribs (125) can be used to increase the strength between the upper tab group base (122) and the upper tab group body (121). A large number of upper tabs (124) with flexibility are arranged on the inner wall of the upper tab group body (121). The upper tabs (124), together with the lower tabs (113), ensure the fixing of the body (10) to the ceiling lamp handle (A). In the invention, the flexibility and rigidity capabilities of the lower tabs (113) and upper tabs (124) may be different. (Due to material selection) At the same time, the number and length of the lower tabs (113) and upper tabs (124) may also be different. In this way, it is possible to adapt to ceiling lamp handles (A) of different sizes. There is a recess (123) on the inner wall of the upper tab group body (121 ) which is placed in the protrusion (112) on the lower tab group (11) during the assembly of the lower tab group (11) and the upper tab group (12).
[0052] In the invention, the lower tab group (11) and the upper tab group (12) are assembled to each other with a two-stage locking system. The first stage of this locking system is provided by the recess (123) in the upper tab group (12) and the protrusion (112) in the lower tab group (11). The second stage is provided by the mounting slot (13) on the body (10) and the upper tab group base (122). The upper tab group base (122) is placed in the mounting slot (13) on the body (10) and locks the upper tab group (12) and the body (10) together. Meanwhile, a leak-proof connection is ensured as the protrusion (112) in the lower tab group (11) is placed in the recess (123) in the upper tab group (12).
[0053] The invention subject to the description can also be used for operating room ceiling lamps of different sizes. It achieves this with its lower tab group (11) and upper tab group (12). The lower tab group (11) and the upper tab group (12) aim to grip the ceiling lamp handle (A), which is the part of the ceiling lamp that can be grasped by hand, by squeezing the tabs (113, 124). The tabs in the lower tab group (11) are shorter than the tabs in the upper tab group (12). This situation can also be the opposite for a ceiling lamp handle (A) of different sizes. This is one of the most important advantages of the two-piece lower tab group(11) and upper tab group (12). The upper tab group (12) can be changed to provide the necessary adaptation for ceiling lamp handles (A) of different shapes or sizes.
[0054] The lower tab group (11) does not have any function in the assembly of the ceiling lamp handle (A) with a small diameter ratio as shown in Figure 4 of the invention. As seen in Figure 4, the upper tab group (12) has stretched and grasped the ceiling lamp handle (A). In Figure 5, a ceiling lamp handle (A) with a larger diameter ratio is configured. As can be seen, the lower tab group (11) flexes in this case and grasps the ceiling lamp handle (A).
[0055] Although only two tab groups are mentioned in the invention, more than one intermediate tab group can be used, at least one of which is longer than the lower tab group (11) and shorter than the upper tab group (12). This will vary depending on the design. Another issue that will vary depending on the design is the form and length dimensions of the tabs (113, 124) in the tab groups (11, 12).
[0056] As can be seen, the operating room ceiling lamp cover (1) which is the subject of the invention has a two-piece, universal (compatible with ceiling lamps of different diameters) design. Its most important feature is that it prevents the tab tips from coming into contact with the flexible cover (14). When the tab tips are prevented from contacting the flexible cover (14), tearing, puncturing or deformation of the flexible cover (14) is prevented. In the invention, this is achieved by placing the tabs (113, 124) of the tab groups (11, 12) on the inner wall. The tips of the tabs placed on the inner wall cannot come into contact with the flexible cover (14) during the installation of the ceiling lamp handle (A).
