Description

Communication methods and devices Technical Field

[0001] This application relates to the field of wireless communication technology, and in particular to a communication method and apparatus. Background Technology

[0002] Current in-vehicle storage solutions typically use fixed-capacity, fixed-speed memory devices, such as in-vehicle infotainment system storage, USB flash drives, and SD cards. These storage specifications are designed to meet the minimum requirements of the applications that the vehicle needs to store by default. Storage failures usually require in-vehicle repair, and the limited in-vehicle storage space cannot accommodate users' new application storage needs (multimedia data caching, game application storage, and the need for anonymous storage of private data, etc.). Expanding storage capacity with new memory cards may face challenges such as overly technical specifications that are difficult for users to understand, and compatibility issues. Summary of the Invention

[0003] This application provides a communication method and apparatus that can send application data of a target application to a first device when the vehicle terminal malfunctions, has insufficient storage space, or insufficient processing power. This expands the storage space of the vehicle terminal while improving the efficiency and reliability of obtaining the expanded capacity, thereby ensuring the smooth operation of the target application on the vehicle terminal.

[0004] In a first aspect, this application provides a communication method applied to an in-vehicle terminal in a vehicle. The method includes: determining that the in-vehicle terminal is currently in a first state, the first state including a storage space failure state, a storage space shortage state, and / or the required data processing or post-processing capability exceeds the capability of the in-vehicle terminal; acquiring at least one first device, the first device being capable of receiving application data of a target application, the target application being an application currently running on the in-vehicle terminal; and sending new application data of the target application to the at least one first device.

[0005] The above method can be applied to vehicle-mounted terminals, which can be terminal devices, modules within terminal devices (such as chip systems), or logical nodes, logical modules, or software capable of implementing all or part of the functions of the terminal devices. There are no limitations on this.

[0006] From a technical perspective, when it is determined that the vehicle-mounted terminal is experiencing a storage space failure, insufficient storage space, or insufficient data processing capability, it automatically acquires an external first device capable of receiving application data from the target application to receive new application data from the target application. This process does not require manual intervention from the user to expand the storage space of the vehicle-mounted terminal, improving the efficiency and reliability of obtaining expanded capacity, thereby ensuring the smooth operation of the target application on the vehicle-mounted terminal.

[0007] In one feasible implementation, the first device further satisfies a first condition, which includes at least one of the following: the available storage space is not less than a preset space, the storage rate is not less than a preset rate; a preset data processing capability exists; a preset wireless communication technology is supported; or the remaining power is not less than a preset power.

[0008] Before sending the new application data of the target application to the first device, it is determined that the first device is capable of receiving the new application data and meets a first condition. This ensures that the first device can successfully receive and store the new application data of the target application, avoiding data transmission failures, incomplete data transmission, or data loss due to data processing failures caused by the first device not meeting the first condition. This guarantees the reliability of the transmission and storage of the new application data of the target application.

[0009] In one feasible implementation, the method further includes: determining preset condition parameters based on the operating status of the target application and / or the destination of the vehicle, wherein the preset condition parameters include at least one of the following: preset space, preset speed, preset data processing capability, preset wireless communication technology, and preset battery level.

[0010] The vehicle terminal determines preset condition parameters based on the operating status of the target application and / or the vehicle's destination, ensuring the real-time nature and usability of the determined preset condition parameters.

[0011] In one feasible implementation, the data processing capabilities include: data encryption capability, data hiding capability, data compression capability, data encoding or recoding capability, data modification capability, and / or conditional destruction capability.

[0012] In one feasible implementation, the method further includes: sending a probe message to at least one first device, the probe message being used to request first condition parameters of the first device, the first condition parameters including at least one of the following: available storage space, storage rate; data processing capability; supported wireless communication technology; or remaining battery power; receiving a reply message from at least one first device, the reply message including the first condition parameters; and determining, based on the reply message, that at least one first device satisfies the first condition.

[0013] In one feasible implementation, sending a probe message to at least one first device includes: sending at least one probe message corresponding to a preset wireless communication technology to at least one first device in turn, wherein the transmission rate corresponding to the preset wireless communication technology is not less than a preset rate; determining that at least one first device satisfies a first condition based on a reply message includes: the reply message of a second device corresponds to the first wireless communication technology, and it is determined that the second device satisfies a storage rate of not less than a preset rate under the first wireless communication technology, wherein the second device is any one of the at least one first device.

[0014] When the vehicle-mounted terminal communicates wirelessly with the first device, it sends a probe message and obtains the first condition parameter of the first device based on the received reply message. This process ensures that the obtained first condition parameter is the same as the first condition parameter that the first device intends to provide. This, in turn, ensures the first device's subjective acceptance of receiving new application data from the target application.

[0015] In one feasible implementation, the method further includes: detecting and obtaining a connection interface of at least one first device; running a read / write test in the at least one first device through the connection interface to obtain a first condition parameter of the at least one first device, the first condition parameter including at least one of the following: available storage space, storage rate; data processing capability; supported wireless communication technology; or remaining power; and determining that the at least one first device meets the first condition based on the first condition parameter.

[0016] When the vehicle-mounted terminal communicates with the first device via wired connection, the vehicle-mounted terminal automatically performs a read / write test on the first device and obtains the first condition parameters of the first device. This process ensures the objectivity of the obtained first condition parameters, thereby ensuring the accuracy of the vehicle-mounted terminal's decision-making.

[0017] In one feasible implementation, sending new application data of a target application to at least one first device includes: sending new application data of the target application to a third device, wherein the third device satisfies at least one of the following: the third device is the first device among at least one first device that satisfies the most first conditions; the third device is the first device among at least one first device that has the highest device performance; the third device is the first device among at least one first device that sends feedback information indicating that the third device agrees to receive new application data of the target application; or the third device is the first device among at least one first device that is used least frequently.

[0018] In one feasible implementation, the performance of the device is characterized by at least one of the following: the strength of data processing capability, the size of storage space, the storage speed, and the amount of remaining power.

[0019] In this method, at least one first device is identified, and a third device can be identified from among the at least one first device through further filtering and / or sorting. Then, the new application data of the target application is sent to the third device. This allows the new application data of the target application to be sent only to a small number of, or even a single, third devices, minimizing the load on the first device and ensuring its usability. Furthermore, concentrating the new application data of the target application on a small number of devices improves data management efficiency.

[0020] In one feasible implementation, the first device is a mobile phone, tablet, or vehicle-mounted mobile terminal.

[0021] In one feasible implementation, the method further includes: determining that the vehicle terminal is in a second state, the second state including a storage space repair state or a storage space replenishment state; sending a first indication message to at least one first device, the first indication message being used to instruct the new application data of the target application to be sent back to the vehicle terminal; and receiving the new application data of the target application from at least one first device.

[0022] In this method, when the vehicle-mounted terminal is in a first state, it sends newly added application data of the target application it is running to a first device for storage. The first state includes a storage space failure state, a storage space shortage state, and / or a situation where the required data processing or post-processing capabilities exceed the capabilities of the vehicle-mounted terminal. When the vehicle-mounted terminal is in a second state, it instructs the first device to send the stored newly added application data of the target application back to the vehicle-mounted terminal. This process ensures that, when conditions permit, the newly added application data of the target application is stored on the vehicle-mounted terminal, thus guaranteeing the convenience of using application data when the vehicle-mounted terminal executes the target application. Simultaneously, it frees up space on the first device, ensuring the quality of use of the first device.

[0023] In one feasible implementation, the method further includes: acquiring a first specification and / or a first storage format of newly added application data of a target application sent by the vehicle terminal; determining, based on the first specification, a third space occupied by the newly added application data of the target application sent; and / or determining, based on the first storage format, a third data processing capability required for the newly added application data of the target application sent; determining that the vehicle terminal satisfies that the storage space is not less than the third space; and / or determining that the vehicle terminal has a third data processing capability.

[0024] This method ensures that the vehicle terminal is currently able to receive and / or process new application data of the target application sent back by the first device.

[0025] Secondly, this application provides a communication method, characterized in that it is applied to a first device, the method comprising: receiving new application data of a target application from an in-vehicle terminal, the new application data being sent when the in-vehicle terminal device is in a first state, the first state including a storage space failure state, a storage space shortage state, and / or the required data processing or post-processing capability exceeding the capability of the in-vehicle terminal; and storing the new application data of the target application.

[0026] The first device in the above method can be a terminal device, or a module (such as a chip system) within a terminal device, or a logical node, logical module, or software capable of implementing all or part of the functions of the terminal device. There are no limitations on this.

[0027] From a technical perspective, when the vehicle-mounted terminal experiences storage space failure, insufficient storage space, or inadequate data processing capabilities, the first device receives new application data from the target application. This process ensures that the first device, when necessary, acts as a storage space expansion device for the vehicle-mounted terminal, receiving new application data from the target application. This minimizes the communication resource consumption between the first device and the vehicle-mounted terminal, thereby ensuring the efficiency of the first device while expanding the storage space of the vehicle-mounted terminal.

[0028] In one feasible implementation, the method further includes: sending a first condition parameter to the vehicle terminal, the first condition parameter including at least one of the following: available storage space, storage rate; data processing capability; supported wireless communication technology; or remaining battery power; receiving new application data of a target application from the vehicle terminal; the first specification of the new application data of the target application is determined based on the available storage space, storage rate, and / or remaining battery power, and the first storage format of the new application data of the target application is determined based on the data processing capability.

[0029] In this method, a first device provides a first condition parameter to the vehicle terminal, and then the first device receives new application data of the target application from the vehicle terminal. The first specification and first storage format of the new application data of the target application are determined according to the first condition parameter. This ensures the feasibility of the first device receiving, processing, and / or storing the new application data of the target application, and guarantees the reliability of data transmission between the first device and the vehicle terminal.

[0030] In one feasible implementation, before sending the first condition parameter to the vehicle terminal, the method further includes: receiving a probe message from the vehicle terminal, the probe message being used to request the first condition parameter of the first device, the first condition parameter including at least one of the following: storage space; storage rate; data processing capability; supported wireless communication technology; or remaining battery power; or receiving a read / write test run request from the vehicle terminal and allowing the vehicle terminal to run a read / write test.

[0031] In one feasible implementation, the method further includes: receiving first indication information from an in-vehicle terminal, the first indication information being used to instruct the sending of new application data from the target application back to the in-vehicle terminal; and sending the new application data of the target application to the in-vehicle terminal.

[0032] In one feasible implementation, the method further includes performing at least one of the following operations on the newly added application data of the stored target application: destroying, encrypting, or hiding.

[0033] Thirdly, a communication device is provided, the communication device including units or modules for performing the possible methods in either the first or second aspect described above.

[0034] Fourthly, embodiments of this application provide a communication device, the communication device including at least one processor coupled to a memory; wherein the at least one processor is configured to execute a computer program or instructions stored in the memory, such that the methods that may be implemented in any of the first to second aspects described above are executed.

[0035] Fifthly, embodiments of this application provide a communication system, which includes a vehicle-mounted terminal and a first device, wherein the vehicle-mounted terminal is used to perform the method described in any one of the first aspects, and the first device is used to perform the method described in any one of the second aspects.

[0036] Sixthly, embodiments of this application provide a computer-readable storage medium, characterized in that the computer-readable storage medium stores computer instructions, which, when executed, cause the computer to perform the method described in any of the above methods.

[0037] In a seventh aspect, embodiments of this application provide a computer program product, the computer program product comprising: computer program code, which, when executed by a computer, causes the computer to perform the method described in any of the above methods.

[0038] Eighthly, embodiments of this application provide a chip coupled to a memory for reading and executing program instructions in the memory, so that the device in which the chip is located implements the method described in any of the above methods. Attached Figure Description

[0050] The following detailed embodiments further illustrate the objectives, technical solutions, and beneficial effects of this application. It should be understood that the following are merely specific embodiments of this application and are not intended to limit the scope of protection of this application. Any modifications, equivalent substitutions, improvements, etc., made based on the technical solutions of this application should be included within the scope of protection of this application.

[0051] In the various embodiments of this application, unless otherwise specified or in case of logical conflict, the terminology and / or descriptions of different embodiments are consistent and can be referenced by each other. The technical features of different embodiments can be combined to form new embodiments according to their inherent logical relationship.

[0052] The system architecture involved in the embodiments of this application is described below.

[0053] For example, please refer to Figure 1, which shows a schematic diagram of an interactive system provided in an embodiment of this application. As can be seen, the interactive system includes an electronic device 110 and a vehicle 120. Communication between the electronic device 110 and the vehicle 120 can be achieved through a cloud 130. Alternatively, the electronic device 110 and the vehicle 120 can also directly communicate via wired or wireless means.

[0054] For example, the electronic device 110 can install and run one or more applications (Apps). These applications may include, but are not limited to, various apps such as gallery, music, or email. It may also include an app for serving the vehicle 120 (referred to as a service app in this embodiment). For example, assuming the vehicle 120 is a vehicle, the service app could be an app serving that vehicle, commonly referred to as a car owner app. For example, the service app can be used to provide various car owner services or vehicle function management services, etc., and this embodiment does not impose any limitations on this.

[0055] Exemplary, the aforementioned electronic device 110 may include, but is not limited to, any electronic product based on a smart operating system, which can interact with the user through input devices such as keyboards, virtual keyboards, touchpads, touchscreens, and voice control devices. Examples include smartphones (shown as an example in Figure 1), tablet computers (Tablet PCs), handheld computers, wearable electronic devices (smart bracelets or smartwatches, etc.), personal computers (PCs), and desktop computers. The smart operating system includes, but is not limited to, any operating system that enriches device functionality by providing various apps, such as Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, or Huawei HarmonyOS. It is understood that the description of the electronic device 110 herein is merely illustrative and does not constitute a limitation on the embodiments of this application.

[0056] It is understood that the above description of the projection module is merely an example and does not constitute a limitation on the embodiments of this application.

[0057] For example, in some possible implementations, the vehicle 120 can be replaced by a vehicle such as a ship or an airplane, or by a device such as a robot or a drone, or by various smart home devices such as a home projector, a television, or a camera. This application embodiment does not limit the specific application scenarios of this solution.

[0058] For example, the cloud 130 may be a server or server cluster deployed with cloud services, a data center including cloud servers, or a server in a local area network, metropolitan area network, or wide area network, etc., and this application embodiment does not limit this. For example, the cloud service may be a public cloud or a private cloud service. The cloud 130 can communicate with the electronic device 110 and the vehicle 120, thereby enabling communication between the electronic device 110 and the vehicle 120 through the cloud 130.

[0059] For example, the wireless communication between the electronic device 110 and the vehicle 120 can be cellular mobile communication and short-range communication, specifically, for example, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SNES, ultra-wideband (UWB) and other communication technologies.

[0060] It is understood that the above description of the interactive system provided in the embodiments of this application in Figure 1 is merely an example and does not constitute a limitation on the embodiments of this application.

[0061] The prior art involved in the embodiments of this application is described below.

[0062] Existing in-vehicle storage solutions include fixed-capacity, fixed-speed memory, such as built-in vehicle storage, USB flash drives, and SD cards. These storage specifications are designed as a baseline based on the default applications required by the vehicle, and storage failures typically require in-vehicle repair. Furthermore, suppose applications in the vehicle have additional storage needs, such as multimedia data caching, game application storage, and the need for anonymous storage of private data. Based on this, existing in-vehicle storage solutions may face the following problems:

[0063] 1) It relies on a single USB flash drive / SD card or in-vehicle storage to record data for functions such as driving and sentry mode. Once the storage device malfunctions, it usually requires repair and replacement of parts, and users cannot solve the problem on-site in a timely manner.

[0064] 2) The vehicle's internal storage space is limited, and increasing storage will lead to a significant increase in costs for OEMs.

[0065] 3) Users purchase their own SD cards or USB flash drives for external storage (such as requiring Class 10 speed, USB 3.0 interface, exFAT file system, and not supporting NTFS, etc.). Ordinary users are limited by their professional knowledge and are prone to encountering compatibility issues.

[0066] 4) The current recommended storage speed and other specifications for in-vehicle systems only take into account the speed required by pre-installed applications, which poses a risk to the storage capacity of user-added applications (APPs).

[0067] 5) The storage needs of new user applications cannot be met (e.g., the new traffic exceeds the capacity of the vehicle's USB flash drive / memory card, or further data processing capabilities are required, such as encryption, hiding, compression, merging, cropping, etc.).

[0068] Based on the above description, this application provides a communication method that can overcome the problems that the above-mentioned in-vehicle storage solutions may face. Referring to Figure 2, which is a flowchart of a communication method provided by an embodiment of this application, the method includes the following steps:

[0069] 201. The vehicle terminal determines that the vehicle terminal is currently in a first state, which includes a storage space failure state, a storage space shortage state, and / or the required data processing or post-processing capabilities exceed the capabilities of the vehicle terminal.

[0070] The vehicle-mounted terminal described in this application refers to the vehicle depicted in Figure 1 above. Therefore, the vehicle-mounted terminal can be a standalone terminal device in the vehicle, or it can be a module or chip with processing functions in the vehicle. This embodiment does not limit this.

[0071] The current first state of the vehicle terminal includes at least one of the following states:

[0072] 1) Storage space failure. This includes physical damage to the memory card, or functional issues such as the memory card being malfunctioning, encrypted, or incompatible.

[0073] 2) Insufficient storage space. Whether storage space is sufficient can be judged by absolute values, such as if the remaining space is less than 4% of the total space, or less than 50 megabytes (MB), then storage space is insufficient. Alternatively, it can be judged by relative values, such as if the estimated storage space required to run the current app to the destination is A1, and the remaining space in the vehicle's storage is less than A1 * 5%, then storage space is insufficient.

[0074] 3) The required data processing or post-processing capabilities exceed the capabilities of the vehicle terminal.

[0075] For a target app that is expected to launch or has already launched, the in-vehicle terminal can first obtain the data processing capabilities and / or post-processing capabilities required to run the target app. Post-processing capabilities refer to subsequent processing of the generated data, including encryption, compression, hiding, and conditional destruction. Data processing capabilities refer to the processing performed during the data generation process, including data encoding / decoding and data modification.

[0076] 202. The vehicle terminal acquires at least one first device, the first device being able to receive application data of a target application, the target application being the application currently running on the vehicle terminal.

[0077] The vehicle terminal can acquire one or more first devices, where the first device is a device capable of receiving application data from the target application.

[0078] The first device can be a device capable of communicating with the in-vehicle terminal. Alternatively, the first device can be a device with the same app installed as the in-vehicle terminal. Both devices can have a vehicle management app installed, which manages and maintains all apps running on the in-vehicle terminal (including the target app). Alternatively, both devices can have a target app installed, which is the app currently running on the in-vehicle terminal or an app expected to run.

[0079] Optionally, the first device is a mobile phone, tablet, or vehicle-mounted mobile terminal.

[0080] Among them, mobile phones are devices for users' private communication, tablets are devices for users' entertainment, and in-vehicle mobile terminals are devices used in the in-vehicle environment that can also be moved. Therefore, the first device can also be other devices such as devices for users' private communication, devices for users' entertainment, and in-vehicle mobile devices.

[0081] Optionally, the vehicle-mounted terminal may acquire one or more first devices by acquiring one or more device identifiers and determining that the device corresponding to the device identifier is the first device.

[0082] For example, the vehicle-mounted terminal broadcasts messages via short-range communication. Upon receiving these messages, the user equipment (UE) sends feedback information to the vehicle-mounted terminal. This feedback information carries the UE's device identifier, including its media access control (MAC) address, IP address, and serial number. The vehicle-mounted terminal then identifies the first device based on the received device identifier.

[0083] Alternatively, the user may have registered or logged into an account on the app via the in-vehicle terminal, and also registered or logged into an account on the app via their own device. In this case, the in-vehicle terminal can obtain the device identifier of the user's device from the app's server and determine the first device corresponding to that identifier.

[0084] 203. The vehicle-mounted terminal sends the newly added application data of the target application. Correspondingly, the first device receives the newly added application data of the target application.

[0085] After identifying the first device, the vehicle terminal can send the newly added application data of the target application to at least one first device. The at least one first device receives the newly added application data of the target application and stores it.

[0086] The newly added application data for the target application includes application data generated during the real-time operation of the target application, as well as data generated from subsequent processing of the generated application data. The newly added application data of the target application sent to the first device does not need to be stored again in the vehicle terminal.

[0087] As can be seen, in this embodiment, when it is determined that the vehicle terminal is experiencing a storage space failure, insufficient storage space, or insufficient data processing capability, an external first device capable of receiving application data from the target application is automatically acquired to receive new application data from the target application. This process does not require manual user intervention in expanding the storage space of the vehicle terminal, improving the efficiency and reliability of obtaining expanded capacity, thereby ensuring the smooth operation of the target application on the vehicle terminal.

[0088] In addition to being able to receive application data from the target application, the first device may also need to meet other conditions.

[0089] Referring to Figure 3A, which is a flowchart of another communication method provided in an embodiment of this application, the method includes the following steps:

[0090] 301. The vehicle terminal determines that the vehicle terminal is currently in a first state, which includes a storage space failure state, a storage space shortage state, and / or the required data processing or post-processing capabilities exceed the capabilities of the vehicle terminal.

[0091] This step can be referred to in the description of step 201 above, and will not be repeated here.

[0092] 302. The vehicle terminal acquires at least one first device, the first device being able to receive application data of a target application, the target application being the application currently running on the vehicle terminal; the first device also satisfies a first condition, the first condition including at least one of the following: available storage space is not less than a preset space, storage rate is not less than a preset rate; there is a preset data processing capability; it supports a preset wireless communication technology; or the remaining power is not less than a preset power.

[0093] The first device identified by the vehicle-mounted terminal, in addition to meeting the condition of being able to receive application data from the target application, also meets a first condition. Whether the first condition is met is determined by comparing the condition parameters of the first device with preset condition parameters. Therefore, determining whether the first device meets the first condition includes two processes: A. Obtaining the first condition parameters of the first device; B. Comparing the first condition parameters with the preset condition parameters.

[0094] The first conditional parameter includes at least one of the following:

[0095] 1) Available storage space of the first device.

[0096] The available storage space of the first device can refer to all the available storage space of the first device, or it can refer to the available space other than the storage space required for the operation of the first device, or it can refer to the available space that the first device can specifically provide to the target application. This embodiment does not limit this.

[0097] 2) Storage rate of the first device.

[0098] The storage rate of a first device can be characterized by one or more of the following: the wireless communication technology it supports, the speed at which it reads the storage medium, and the processing power of its processor. For example, each wireless communication technology has a different communication rate, and therefore a different storage rate. For instance, Wi-Fi 6 has a peak rate of 9.6 gigabits per second (Gbps) and an average rate of 2.4 Gbps; Wi-Fi 7 has a peak rate of 23.06 Gbps and an average rate of 5.8 Gbps. Different storage media, such as hard drives and flash memory, have different read rates. Different processor processing powers, such as 3.5 gigahertz (GHz) or 5 GHz, can also result in different storage rates.

[0099] 3) Data processing capability of the first device.

[0100] The data processing capabilities involved in this embodiment may include: data compression capability, which refers to the ability to encode original data using less space, thereby reducing the space occupied by the data and improving transmission efficiency; data encryption capability, which refers to the ability to convert data (also known as plaintext) into ciphertext using a key, thereby ensuring data privacy; data hiding capability, which refers to the ability to convert data into an unreadable form using a specific algorithm, which can only be restored by the person holding the decryption key, also ensuring data privacy; data encoding or re-encoding capability, where data encoding refers to using a coded symbol to represent a piece of information or a string of data for easy memorization; data re-encoding refers to the process of re-encoding or converting data into a new encoding format for better processing, storage, or transmission of data; data modification capability, which refers to the ability to add, delete, modify, and query data, specifically including operations such as adding, deleting, and modifying data. These operations can help users adjust and optimize data according to their needs; and conditional destruction capability, which refers to the ability of the device to automatically or remotely activate the data or physical hardware destruction function under specific conditions or triggering mechanisms to ensure that sensitive or critical information is not leaked or misused.

[0101] 4) The wireless communication technology supported by the first device.

[0102] Wireless communication technologies may include the aforementioned 5G communication, 6G communication, or newer cellular mobile communication, or short-range communication technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular network, and UWB. Different wireless communication technologies correspond to different communication rates; for example, the communication rate of Wi-Fi 7 is greater than that of Wi-Fi 6.

[0103] 5) Remaining battery power of the first device.

[0104] The remaining battery power of the first device can be expressed as an absolute value, such as 1000 milliampere-hours (mAh). It can also be expressed as a percentage, such as 60%.

[0105] The method by which the vehicle-mounted terminal obtains the first conditional parameters of the first device can vary depending on the communication method between the vehicle-mounted terminal and the first device. For example, if the vehicle-mounted terminal and the first device communicate via wired connection, the vehicle-mounted terminal can directly read the first conditional parameters of the first device. If the vehicle-mounted terminal and the first device communicate wirelessly, the vehicle-mounted terminal can obtain the first conditional parameters by sending a message request to the first device.

[0106] Optionally, in a wireless communication scenario, the method by which the vehicle-mounted terminal obtains the first condition parameters of the first device can be referred to Figure 3B, which is a flowchart of another communication method provided in an embodiment of this application. The method includes steps 301 to 303, and further includes the following steps:

[0107] 3021. The vehicle terminal sends a probe message to at least one first device. The probe message is used to request first condition parameters of the first device. The first condition parameters include at least one of the following: available storage space, storage rate; data processing capability; supported wireless communication technology; or remaining power.

[0108] For a detailed description of the first conditional parameter, please refer to the descriptions of items 1) to 5) above, which will not be repeated here.

[0109] When the vehicle terminal and the first device are connected wirelessly, the vehicle terminal can send a corresponding probe message to each of the first devices to request the first condition parameters.

[0110] 3022. The first device sends a reply message, which includes the first condition parameter. Correspondingly, the vehicle terminal receives the reply message.

[0111] After receiving the probe message, the first device parses the information within it and determines that the probe message is used to request the first condition parameter. The first device can then obtain its own first condition parameter and send it to the vehicle terminal via a reply message.

[0112] Alternatively, if the first device does not agree to provide the first condition parameter to the vehicle terminal, it may choose not to send a reply message. Or it may indicate in the reply message that it will not provide the first condition parameter.

[0113] 3023. The vehicle terminal determines, based on the reply message, that at least one first device satisfies the first condition.

[0114] The vehicle terminal determines that the first device meets the first condition based on the received reply message. Specifically, it determines that the first device meets the first condition by comparing the first condition parameter with the preset condition parameter.

[0115] Optionally, sending a probe message to at least one first device includes: sending at least one probe message corresponding to a preset wireless communication technology to at least one first device in turn, wherein the transmission rate corresponding to the preset wireless communication technology is not less than a preset rate.

[0116] Determining that at least one first device satisfies a first condition based on a reply message includes: the reply message of the second device corresponds to a first wireless communication technology, and it is determined that the second device satisfies a storage rate of not less than a preset rate under the first wireless communication technology, wherein the second device is any one of at least one first device.

[0117] The vehicle-mounted terminal can use preset wireless communication technologies (which can be its own supported wireless communication technologies or wireless communication technologies selected from its supported technologies that are expected to be used) to send probe messages in turn. For example, preset wireless communication technologies include Bluetooth communication and Wi-Fi communication.

[0118] Optionally, the transmission rate of the preset wireless communication technology is not less than the preset rate. That is to say, the vehicle terminal may support many wireless communication technologies, and can first select a wireless communication technology with a transmission rate not less than the preset rate to send probe messages based on its own required preset rate.

[0119] For example, the vehicle terminal determines that the first wireless communication technology with a speed not less than a preset rate includes Bluetooth communication and Wi-Fi communication. Therefore, the vehicle terminal sends a probe message 1 via Bluetooth communication and a probe message 2 via Wi-Fi communication. If at least one of the first devices, a second device, supports the preset wireless communication technology, the second device can use the corresponding wireless communication technology to send a reply message. For example, the second device can send reply message 1 to the vehicle terminal via Bluetooth communication. However, since the second device does not support Wi-Fi communication, it cannot receive probe message 2 and therefore cannot send the corresponding reply message 2. After receiving reply message 1, the vehicle terminal can determine that the second device supports Bluetooth communication. Not receiving reply message 2 indicates that the second device does not support Wi-Fi communication. Furthermore, it determines that the storage speed of the second device under Bluetooth communication is not less than the preset rate.

[0120] Steps 3021 to 3023 described above describe the scenario where the vehicle terminal and the first device are communicating wirelessly, and the second device provides the first condition parameter to the vehicle terminal. In other cases, whether the second device provides the first condition parameter to the vehicle terminal requires the user's permission. Refer to Figure 3C, which is a schematic diagram of user permission for providing the first condition parameter according to an embodiment of this application. As shown in Figure 3C, after receiving the probe message, the second device will display "Provide first condition parameter?" on the screen, or more specifically, the specific content of the first condition parameter. After viewing the screen, the user can select "Yes" or "No". If the user selects "Yes", the second device sends a reply message; if the user selects "No", the second device sends a rejection message to indicate refusal to provide the first condition parameter, or does not send any message.

[0121] Optionally, in a wired communication scenario, the method by which the vehicle-mounted terminal obtains the first condition parameters of the first device can be referred to Figure 3D, which is a flowchart of another communication method provided in an embodiment of this application. This method includes steps 301 to 303, and also includes the following steps:

[0122] 3024. The vehicle terminal detects and obtains at least one connection interface of the first device.

[0123] 3025. The vehicle terminal runs a read / write test in at least one first device through a connection interface to obtain first condition parameters of at least one first device. The first condition parameters include at least one of the following: available storage space, storage rate; data processing capability; supported wireless communication technology; or remaining power.

[0124] 3026. The vehicle terminal determines, based on the first condition parameter, that at least one first device satisfies the first condition.

[0125] Since the vehicle-mounted terminal communicates with the first device via a wired connection, the vehicle-mounted terminal can directly detect the connection interface with the first device. Then, the vehicle-mounted terminal runs a read / write test on the first device through the connection interface to directly obtain the first condition parameters. Finally, the vehicle-mounted terminal determines whether the first device meets the first condition based on a comparison between the first condition parameters and preset condition parameters.

[0126] Similarly, before the vehicle terminal can obtain the first condition parameters of the first device by running a read / write test, it needs the user's permission. See Figure 3E for a specific example, which illustrates another method of providing the first condition parameters for user permission according to an embodiment of this application. As shown in Figure 3E, when the first device detects that the read / write test software is running, it displays "Allow running the read / write test software?" on the screen. After viewing the screen, the user can select "Yes" or "No". If the user selects "Yes", the read / write test software runs on the first device; if the user selects "No", the read / write test software cannot run on the first device.

[0127] After the vehicle-mounted terminal obtains the first condition parameters of the first device, it compares the first condition parameters with preset condition parameters to determine whether the first device meets the first condition. The preset condition parameters include one or more of the following: preset space, preset speed, preset data processing capability, preset wireless communication technology, and preset battery level.

[0128] The preset condition parameters can be pre-set, obtained by the vehicle terminal from other devices, or determined by the vehicle terminal through data processing and analysis based on its own current situation.

[0129] Optionally, the method further includes: the vehicle terminal determining preset condition parameters based on the operating status of the target application and / or the destination of the vehicle.

[0130] Specifically, the target application's operating status includes running or paused states, and the operating status may include continuous or intermittent running states. Based on the target application's operating status, the amount of application data generated by the target application per unit time and the corresponding first (average) storage rate can be predicted. Then, based on the vehicle's destination, the first operating time required by the target application and the first power consumption required by the target application are determined.

[0131] Then, the vehicle-mounted terminal can determine the preset condition parameters using the following methods:

[0132] a. Determine the preset space based on the first running time and first storage rate required by the target application.

[0133] b. Determine a preset storage rate and / or a preset wireless connection technology based on the first storage rate.

[0134] c. Determine the preset power level based on the initial power required by the target application.

[0135] d. Determine the preset data processing capabilities based on the data storage format corresponding to the target application.

[0136] For example, if the target application's data storage format is a compressed file, then the preset data processing capabilities include data compression capabilities; if the target application's data storage format is editable data, then the preset data processing capabilities include data modification capabilities, etc.

[0137] After determining the first condition parameters corresponding to the first device and the preset condition parameters required by the vehicle terminal according to the above method, the two are compared to determine that the first device meets the first condition. Then, the vehicle terminal can send the new application data of the target application to the first device.

[0138] 303. The vehicle-mounted terminal sends the newly added application data of the target application. Correspondingly, the first device receives the newly added application data of the target application.

[0139] When the vehicle-mounted terminal sends new application data of a target application to at least one first device, it may send data to one first device or to multiple first devices. When sending data to multiple first devices, it may send complete new application data of the target application to each device or send partial new application data of the target application to each device. This application embodiment does not limit this.

[0140] As can be seen, in this embodiment, before sending the new application data of the target application to the first device, it is determined that the first device is capable of receiving the new application data of the target application, and it is also determined that the first device meets a first condition. This ensures that the first device can successfully receive and store the new application data of the target application, avoiding data transmission failures, incomplete data transmission, or data loss due to data processing caused by the first device not meeting the first condition. This guarantees the reliability of the transmission and storage of the new application data of the target application.

[0141] In the above embodiments, at least one first device satisfies certain conditions. However, if there are multiple first devices that satisfy certain conditions, a more suitable (unique) first device can be further selected from the multiple first devices.

[0142] Based on this, please refer to Figure 4A, which is a flowchart of another communication method provided by an embodiment of this application. The method includes the following steps:

[0143] 401. The vehicle terminal determines that the vehicle terminal is currently in a first state, which includes a storage space failure state, a storage space shortage state, and / or the required data processing or post-processing capabilities exceed the capabilities of the vehicle terminal.

[0145] 403. The vehicle terminal identifies at least one third device among the first devices.

[0146] The third device can be a unique device identified from at least one of the first devices, or it can be multiple devices.

[0147] Specifically, the third device satisfies at least one of the following:

[0148] ①The third device is the first device that satisfies the first condition the most among at least one first device.

[0149] The specific content of the first condition is as described above. Since there may be multiple first conditions, and a first device may satisfy one first condition or multiple first conditions, if there are two first devices, namely first device 1 and first device 2, where first device 1 satisfies more first conditions than first device 2, then first device 1 can be identified as the third device.

[0150] ②The third device is the first device with the highest performance among at least one first device.

[0151] Different primary devices have different performance characteristics. Device performance can be characterized by at least one of the following: data processing capability, storage space size, storage speed, and remaining battery power.

[0152] Stronger data processing capability can be characterized by having more data processing power, or by having more of the more critical data processing capabilities. For example, data encoding and data modification capabilities are critical data processing capabilities, and a device possessing these two capabilities is considered to have stronger data processing capability. Storage space size can be the total storage space of the first device, or the storage space the first device can use to store application data for the target application. Storage speed can be determined based on the wireless communication technology supported by the first device, the storage medium used by the first device, or a combination of both. Remaining battery power can be characterized as the absolute value of the remaining battery power, or as the proportion of remaining battery power to total battery power. The above parameters can also be combined to determine the performance level of the device; for example, when data processing capabilities are the same, performance can be further determined based on the remaining battery power.

[0153] ③ The third device is at least one of the first devices that sends feedback information, and the feedback information indicates that the third device agrees to receive new application data from the target application.

[0154] In some cases, the vehicle terminal can send an inquiry message to at least one first device (each) to inquire whether it agrees to receive new application data from the target application. See Figure 4B for details. Figure 4B is a schematic diagram of a process for determining a third device according to an embodiment of this application. As shown in Figure 4B, each first device receives the inquiry message and then sends feedback information based on its own situation (whether it has idle CPU processing power, etc.) or based on user operation. The feedback information can indicate agreement to receive new application data from the target application.

[0155] ④ The third device is the first device with the lowest frequency of use among at least one first device.

[0156] The usage frequency of each primary device can be statistically analyzed by the primary device itself and then sent to the vehicle-mounted terminal. Alternatively, if the vehicle-mounted terminal is wired to the primary device, it can read the program's running status on the primary device through the connection interface. If a program is constantly running, it indicates high usage frequency; otherwise, it indicates low usage frequency.

[0157] The conditions ① to ④ above can be used individually or in combination to determine the third device. When used to determine the third device individually, the priority order of the multiple first devices is determined according to each condition, and the third device is determined according to this priority order. Refer to Figure 4C, which is a schematic diagram of determining the priority order of multiple first devices according to an embodiment of this application. As shown in Figure 4C, for four first devices, there are four priority orders:

[0158] A. Sort by the number of items that meet the first condition, with the items that meet the first condition appearing first in the sort order.

[0159] B. Sort the equipment according to its performance, with higher performance items appearing first.

[0160] C. Sort by priority based on whether feedback information has been sent, with those that have sent feedback information ranked higher; or if all feedback information has been sent, sort by the time it takes to send the feedback information.

[0161] D. Sort by frequency of use, with the least frequent usage appearing first.

[0162] The vehicle terminal selects a third device based on the priority order corresponding to that condition. Typically, only the third device with the highest priority will receive the new application data for the target application. For example, in priority order A, the highest priority is device 2. In priority order B, the highest priority is device 1.

[0163] If the highest-priority third device refuses to receive, cannot receive, or fails to receive, the vehicle terminal then sends the new application data for the target application to the next highest-priority third device according to priority order, until it is confirmed that the data has been completely sent successfully. This process includes sending part of the application data to the highest-priority third device, and then sending another part of the application data to the next highest-priority third device. This will not be elaborated further.

[0164] When conditions ① through ④ are used to determine the third device, the priority order of each first device can be determined based on the comprehensive score of the four conditions. For example, suppose that for each condition, the first priority device is worth 1 point, the second priority device is worth 0.8 points, the third priority device is worth 0.5 points, and the fourth priority device is worth 0.2 points. Then, the comprehensive scores for the four first devices in Figure 4C are: First Device 1: 1.9 points; First Device 2: 2.5 points; First Device 3: 3.4 points; First Device 4: 2.2 points. Therefore, the comprehensive priority order from high to low is: First Device 3 → First Device 2 → First Device 4 → First Device 1.

[0165] 404. The vehicle-mounted terminal sends the new application data for the target application. Correspondingly, the third device receives the new application data for the target application.

[0166] After identifying at least one third device among the first devices, the vehicle terminal sends the new application data of the target application to the third device. The third device receives the new application data of the target application and stores the new application data in the appropriate format according to the requirements of the target application.

[0167] As can be seen, in this embodiment, at least one first device is identified, and a third device can be identified from among the at least one first device through further filtering and / or sorting. Then, the new application data of the target application is sent to the third device. This allows the new application data of the target application to be sent only to a small number or even a single third device, minimizing the occupancy of the first device and ensuring the quality of use of the first device. Simultaneously, concentrating the new application data of the target application on a small number of devices improves data management efficiency.

[0168] The above embodiments describe a scenario where the in-vehicle terminal needs to transfer newly added application data of the target application to the first device. In other cases, the newly added application data of the target application can be transferred back to the in-vehicle terminal.

[0169] Referring to Figure 5, which is a flowchart of another communication method provided in an embodiment of this application, the method includes:

[0170] 501. The vehicle terminal determines that the vehicle terminal is currently in a first state, which includes a storage space failure state, a storage space shortage state, and / or the required data processing or post-processing capabilities exceed the capabilities of the vehicle terminal.

[0171] 502. The vehicle terminal acquires at least one first device, the first device being able to receive application data of the target application, the target application being the application currently running on the vehicle terminal.

[0172] 503. The vehicle-mounted terminal sends the new application data of the target application. Correspondingly, the first device receives the new application data of the target application.

[0173] The descriptions of steps 501 to 503 can be found in the descriptions of steps 201 to 203 above, and will not be repeated here.

[0174] 504. The vehicle terminal determines that the vehicle terminal is in the second state, which includes the storage space repair state or the storage space replenishment state.

[0175] 505. The vehicle terminal sends a first instruction message, which is used to instruct the newly added application data of the target application to be sent back to the vehicle terminal; correspondingly, the first device receives the first instruction message.

[0176] If the first state of the vehicle terminal is insufficient storage space or storage space failure, and the vehicle terminal detects that it has changed from the first state to the second state, it can send a first indication message to request the first device to send the newly added application data of the target application back to the vehicle terminal.

[0177] If the first state of the vehicle terminal is that the data processing or post-processing capability exceeds the capability of the vehicle terminal, the vehicle terminal may send a first instruction message after detecting that it is in the second state or determining that it has sent all the new application data of the target application to the first device to request the first device to return the received new application data of the target application to the vehicle terminal.

[0178] Alternatively, the method may further include: the vehicle terminal acquiring a first specification and / or a first storage format of the newly added application data of the target application that has been sent by the vehicle terminal; determining, according to the first specification, the third space occupied by the newly added application data of the target application that has been sent; and / or determining, according to the first storage format, the third data processing capability required by the newly added application data of the target application that has been sent; determining that the vehicle terminal satisfies that the storage space is not less than the third space, and / or determining that the vehicle terminal has a third data processing capability.

[0179] Once the vehicle-mounted terminal determines that it is in the second state, it can further determine whether it meets the third condition for receiving new application data from the target application. The third condition includes at least one of the following: the vehicle-mounted terminal's storage space is not less than the third space occupied by the new application data of the target application; the vehicle-mounted terminal possesses the third data processing capability required for the new application data of the target application. If the vehicle-mounted terminal meets the third condition, it can request the new application data of the target application sent to the first device to be returned to the vehicle-mounted terminal.

[0180] 506. The first device sends the new application data for the target application. Correspondingly, the vehicle terminal receives the new application data for the target application.

[0181] After receiving the first instruction from the vehicle terminal, the first device sends the new application data of the target application back to the vehicle terminal.

[0182] Optionally, the method further includes: the first device performing at least one of the following operations on the newly added application data of the target application stored therein: destroying, encrypting, or hiding.

[0183] For the first device, having already sent the newly added application data of the target application back to the vehicle terminal, this application data can be destroyed, or encrypted and hidden, and then sent back to the vehicle terminal when needed. Alternatively, the first device can receive second instruction information from the vehicle terminal, which indicates the processing method for the newly added application data of the target application, and the first device processes the newly added application data of the target application based on the second instruction information.

[0184] As can be seen, in this embodiment, when the vehicle terminal is in a first state, it sends the newly added application data of the target application it is running to a first device for storage. The first state includes a storage space failure state, a storage space shortage state, and / or a data processing or post-processing capability exceeding the vehicle terminal's capacity. When the vehicle terminal is in a second state, it instructs the first device to send the stored newly added application data of the target application back to the vehicle terminal. This process ensures that, when conditions permit, the newly added application data of the target application is stored on the vehicle terminal, thus guaranteeing the convenience of using application data when the vehicle terminal executes the target application. Simultaneously, it frees up space on the first device, ensuring the quality of use of the first device.

[0185] This embodiment describes a method that combines the vehicle terminal's indication of returned application data with the methods described in steps 201-203. In other cases, the vehicle terminal's indication of returned application data can also be combined with the methods described in steps 301-303 or 401-404 to achieve the corresponding technical effects. Further details will not be provided here.

[0186] The methods provided in the embodiments of this application have been described above. For example, the controller is primarily responsible for instruction decoding and issuing control signals for the operations corresponding to the instructions. The ALU is primarily responsible for performing fixed-point or floating-point arithmetic operations, shift operations, and logical operations, and can also perform address operations and translations. Registers are primarily responsible for storing register operands and intermediate operation results temporarily stored during instruction execution. In specific implementations, the processor's hardware architecture can be an ASIC architecture, a microprocessor without interlocked piped stages architecture (MIPS), an advanced reduced instruction set machine (RISC) machine (ARM) architecture, or a network processor (NP) architecture, etc. The processor can be single-core or multi-core.
