[0057] A driver is provided in a first aspect of embodiments.

[0058] Fig. 1 is a block diagram of a driver in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0059] As shown in Fig. 1, a driver 100 includes an input module 1, a dimmer module 2, an output module 3, a converter 4, a controller 5 and a DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) circuit 6.

[0060] The input module 1 is configured to receive AC or DC power. The AC power may be provided by main supply of 230V; the DC power may be provided by a DC supply grid of e.g. 48V, 350V or 700V or a central emergency backup system providing 230V DC. For example, the driver 100 may be capable of being powered by DC and  / or AC as the DC supply may be the DC supply grid of e.g. 48V, 350V or 700V or the central emergency backup system providing 230V DC if the main supply of 230V AC fails.

[0061] The dimmer module 2 is configured to receive dimming signal. The dimming signal may be received from a dimming device out of the driver 100, for example, the dimming device may generate the dimming signal in accordance with a dimming operation of user, and sends the dimming signal to the dimmer module 2.

[0062] The output module 3 is configured to output DC power that is generated by the convertor 4. The output module 3 may be connected to a load, so as to provide DC power to the load. For example, the load may be LED (Light Emitting Diode) .

[0063] The converter 4 is configured to convert the received AC or DC power (from the input module 1) to the outputted DC power according to the dimming signal, so that the output module 3 may output the DC power. For example, under the control of the dimming signal, the converter 4 may generate the DC power in a range of 0V~10V. The working principles of the converter 4 and the dimmer module 2 may be referred to related art.

[0064] The controller 5 is configured to generate reporting. For example, the reporting may include at least one of energy reporting, failure reporting and life cycles reporting. For example, the controller 5 may monitor operation status of the driver 100, and generate the reporting in a predetermined format.

[0065] The DALI circuit 6 is configured to be connected to the controller 5. The DALI circuit 6 may receive the reporting from the controller 5, and sends the reporting out from the driver 100. The working principles of the DALI circuit 6 may be referred to related art.

[0066] According to the embodiments, the DALI circuit 6 enables the driver 100 with dimmer module 3 to send reporting cost-effectively while maintaining compatibility with existing dimmer.

[0067] As shown in Fig. 1, the DALI circuit 6 is connected to the converter 4. The DALI circuit 6 may receive controlling signal from outside of the driver 100. The converter 4 is further configured to convert the received AC or DC power to the outputted DC power according to the controlling signal, for example, the controlling signal can realize DALI level control.

[0068] In at least one embodiment, when the dimming signal is not received by the dimmer module 2, the converter 4 may convert the received AC or DC power to the outputted DC power according to the controlling signal.

[0069] In another embodiment, when the dimming signal and the controlling signal are both received, priority may be defined among a control by the dimming signal and a control by the controlling signal.

[0070] For example, the control by the dimming signal has priority to the control by the controlling signal. That is to say, when a moment when the dimmer module 2 receives the dimming signal coincides with the moment when the DALI circuit 6 receives the controlling signal, the converter 4 converts the received AC or DC power to the outputted DC power according to the dimming signal, the controlling signal may be ignored.

[0071] For another example, the control by the controlling signal has priority to the control by the dimming signal. That is to say, when a moment when the dimmer module 2 receives the dimming signal coincides with the moment when the DALI circuit 6 receives the controlling signal, the converter 4 converts the received AC or DC power to the outputted DC power according to the controlling signal, the dimming signal may be ignored.

[0072] In yet another embodiment, when the driver 100 is switched to a DALI mode, the converter 4 converts the received AC or DC power to the outputted DC power according to the controlling signal. For example, the driver 100 may work in two modes: the first mode (for example, dimming mode) and the second mode (for example, DALI mode) . In the first mode, the converter 4 converts the received AC or DC power to the outputted DC power according to the dimming signal received by the dimmer module 2. In the second mode (for example, DALI mode) , the converter 4 converts the received AC or DC power to the outputted DC power according to the controlling signal receive by the DALI circuit 6.

[0073] For example, the driver 100 may receive a signal to control the driver 100 to switch to the first model or the second model. For another example, the driver 100 may include a switch (not shown in Fig. 1) , when operated, the switch may switch the driver 100 to the first model or the second model.Second aspect of embodiments

[0074] A driving system is provided in the second aspect of embodiments.

[0075] In the second aspect of embodiments, the driving system is used for driving a lighting device, for example, the lighting device may be LED.

[0076] Fig. 2 is a block diagram of a driver system in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0077] As shown in Fig. 2, the driving system 200 includes a driver 100 according to the first aspect of embodiments and at least one DALI controller 201. Each of the DALI controller 201 is configured to be connected with at least one drive 100, and communicate with each DALI circuit 6 of the driver 100. For example, one DALI controller 201 is connected with 2 DALI circuits 6.
