Description
A battery early warning method, system and device
[0001] This application is based on and claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 202510484407.4, filed on April 17, 2025, entitled “A Battery Warning Method and System”, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field
[0002] This application relates to the field of battery safety monitoring technology, specifically to a battery early warning method, system, and device. Background Technology
[0003] In the field of battery applications, lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and solid-state batteries are widely used. However, as their lifespan gradually decreases during cycling, the safety risks they face are constantly increasing.
[0004] Traditional battery safety testing methods primarily rely on real-time monitoring of battery voltage and temperature. Once the voltage or temperature exceeds a pre-set specific value, the system automatically activates a power-off protection mechanism. However, this method has significant limitations. Many safety hazards often only cause changes in voltage or temperature at the moment of their occurrence, making it impossible for personnel to take timely and effective remedial measures, which may lead to serious consequences.
[0005] To improve this situation, some products have recently incorporated pressure sensors inside the battery to monitor changes in internal pressure. When the internal pressure rises to a specific value, the system promptly issues an alarm signal, alerting staff to conduct a comprehensive overhaul. This innovative method, to some extent, improves warning time and provides a new approach to ensuring battery safety.
[0006] However, since the internal pressure of a battery changes with temperature fluctuations during normal operation, there is a dilemma when setting a standard pressure value. If the standard pressure value is set too high, some potential safety risks will be difficult to detect in time; if the standard pressure value is set too low, false alarms will occur frequently, leading to a significant increase in unnecessary maintenance work and a sharp rise in maintenance costs. Summary of the Invention
[0007] In view of the above problems, this application provides a battery early warning method, system and device to solve the problem that the standard air pressure value based on a single parameter setting cannot accurately monitor battery safety risks in the prior art.
[0008] According to one aspect of the embodiments of this application, a battery warning method is provided, comprising the steps of:
[0009] When the battery is charged at room temperature under a preset charging regime or discharged under a preset discharging regime, the battery temperature and pressure values are acquired in real time.
[0010] Select the standard atmospheric pressure value and lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery, and obtain the current atmospheric pressure change rate of the battery;
[0011] Determine if the current air pressure of the battery is less than the standard air pressure corresponding to the current temperature. If so, the battery is determined to be in normal working condition. Otherwise, determine if the rate of change of the current air pressure of the battery is greater than or equal to the lithium plating alarm threshold. If so, the battery is determined to be in abnormal working condition.
[0012] When the battery is determined to be in an abnormal operating state, a warning signal is issued;
[0013] The rate of change of the battery's current air pressure is defined as the ratio of the change in air pressure to the change in temperature at the current temperature value compared to the previous temperature value.

[0023] In some optional implementations, the gas pressure value corresponding to the current temperature of the test battery is selected, specifically including the following steps:
[0024] The minimum air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery in multiple tests is selected as the air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery in the room temperature test.
[0025] In some optional implementations, a lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current battery temperature is selected, specifically including the following steps:
[0026] The room temperature test battery is pre-charged in a room temperature environment using a room temperature test charging regime or a room temperature test discharging regime, and the temperature and pressure values of the room temperature test battery are obtained in real time.
[0027] The low-temperature test battery is pre-charged in a low-temperature environment using a low-temperature test charging regime or a low-temperature test discharging regime, and the temperature and pressure values of the low-temperature test battery are obtained in real time.

Select any value between the current pressure change rate of the battery at room temperature and the current pressure change rate of the battery at low temperature as the lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value.
[0029] Among them, the current pressure change rate of the room temperature test battery is defined as the ratio of the pressure change to the temperature change corresponding to the current temperature value and the previous temperature value of the room temperature test battery. The specifications of the room temperature test battery are the same as those of the battery. The room temperature test charging system is the same as the preset charging system. The room temperature test discharging system is the same as the preset discharging system. The current temperature value of the room temperature test battery is the same as the current temperature value of the battery. The previous temperature value of the room temperature test battery is the same as the previous temperature value of the battery.
[0030] The current pressure change rate of the low-temperature test battery is defined as the ratio of the pressure change to the temperature change corresponding to the previous temperature value. The specifications of the low-temperature test battery are the same as those of the battery. The low-temperature test charging regime is the same as the preset charging regime. The low-temperature test discharging regime is the same as the preset discharging regime. [0035] In some optional implementations, obtaining the current pressure change rate of the room temperature test battery and the current pressure change rate of the low temperature test battery specifically includes the following steps:

[0055] Exemplary embodiments of the present application will now be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Although exemplary embodiments of the present application are shown in the drawings, it should be understood that the present application may be implemented in various forms and should not be limited to the embodiments set forth herein.
[0056] To address the problem in the prior art that standard air pressure values based on a single parameter setting cannot accurately monitor battery safety risks, this embodiment discloses a battery early warning method, as shown in Figure 1, which includes the following steps:
[0057] S10. When the battery is charged at room temperature under a preset charging regime or discharged under a preset discharging regime, the battery temperature and pressure values are acquired in real time.
[0058] In this step, it is important to clarify that batteries have specific specifications and parameters. The charging regime refers to a series of specifications and parameter settings that the battery follows during the charging process, mainly including charging current, charging voltage, charging time, and charging method. The discharging regime is similar to the charging regime, which is the specification and parameter settings for the battery discharging process, including discharging current, discharging cut-off voltage, discharging time, and discharging method.
[0059] In addition, in this embodiment, the temperature and pressure values of the battery are obtained based on the temperature sensor and pressure sensor integrated inside the battery. Since the temperature sensor and pressure sensor are integrated inside the battery, the installation positions of the pressure sensor and temperature sensor are close and fixed, thereby synchronously monitoring the temperature and pressure inside the battery.
[0060] Specifically, the pressure sensor and temperature sensor are mounted on the top cover of the battery, and the selected temperature sensor and pressure sensor have a defined range and accuracy.
[0061] Therefore, this step can be specifically understood as follows: when the battery is charged at a constant power with a preset charging power in a normal temperature environment, the temperature and pressure values of the battery are obtained in real time through temperature sensors and air pressure sensors; or, when the battery is discharged at a constant power with a preset discharge power in a normal temperature environment, the temperature and pressure values of the battery are obtained in real time through temperature sensors and air pressure sensors.
[0062] Before data acquisition in this step, determine the sampling frequency and sampling time of the temperature sensor and the pressure sensor. Then, when the battery is charged at a preset power or discharged at a preset power in a normal temperature environment, the temperature and pressure values of the battery are obtained in real time through the temperature sensor and the pressure sensor.
[0063] In this embodiment, the sampling frequency refers to the number of times the temperature sensor and the barometric pressure sensor collect data per second.
[0064] For example, if the sampling frequency of both the temperature sensor and the pressure sensor is set to 10Hz, then the temperature sensor will measure the battery temperature 10 times per second, and the pressure sensor will also measure the battery pressure 10 times per second, recording the corresponding temperature and pressure values. In this case, the time interval between two adjacent temperature measurements is 1 / 10 = 0.1 seconds, and the time interval between two adjacent pressure measurements is 1 / 10 = 0.1 seconds.
[0065] This can be understood as the temperature sensor and the pressure sensor acquiring a new set of temperature and pressure values every 0.1 seconds.
[0066] Sampling time: refers to the total time taken for the temperature sensor and the pressure sensor from the start of sampling to the end of sampling.
[0067] For example, if the battery is set to monitor its temperature and pressure for 10 minutes, then these 10 minutes constitute the sampling time. Throughout the sampling time, the temperature sensor and the pressure sensor continuously collect temperature and pressure values according to the set sampling frequency.
[0068] Current temperature value: refers to the latest temperature value obtained by the temperature sensor at a specific moment.
[0069] For example, in the above example with a sampling frequency of 10Hz, if the current time is the 5th second, then the current temperature value is the 50th (5×10=50) temperature data point collected by the temperature sensor at the 5th second. It reflects the instantaneous temperature state of the battery at this moment.
[0070] Previous temperature value: refers to the temperature value obtained before the current temperature value.
[0071] Taking a sampling frequency of 10Hz as an example, if the current time is the 5th second, then the previous temperature value was the temperature data collected at the 4.9th second, which is the 49th temperature data point. By comparing the current temperature value with the previous temperature value, we can understand the change in battery temperature within a sampling interval and thus analyze the temperature trend. If the current temperature value is greater than the previous temperature value, it indicates that the battery temperature is rising; conversely, it indicates that the temperature is falling.
[0072] Current air pressure value: Similar to the current temperature value, it refers to the latest air pressure value obtained by the air pressure sensor at a specific moment.
[0073] For example, taking a sampling frequency of 10Hz as an example, if the current time is the 5th second, then the current air pressure value is the 50th (5×10 =50) air pressure data collected by the air pressure sensor at the 5th second. It reflects the instantaneous air pressure of the battery at this moment.
[0074] Previous pressure value: refers to the pressure value obtained before the current pressure value.
[0075] Taking a sampling frequency of 10Hz as an example, if the current time is the 5th second, then the previous air pressure value was the air pressure data collected at the 4.9th second, which is the 49th air pressure data point. By comparing the current air pressure value with the previous air pressure value, we can understand the change in battery air pressure within a sampling interval, which helps to analyze the trend of air pressure changes and whether there are any abnormal changes.
[0076] S20. Select the standard air pressure value and lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery, and obtain the current air pressure change rate of the battery.
[0077] In this step, based on the battery specifications in step S10, as well as the current temperature and pressure values, the standard pressure value and lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value of batteries with the same specifications are selected, and the current pressure change rate of the battery is obtained.
[0078] The rate of change of the battery's current air pressure is defined as the ratio of the change in air pressure to the change in temperature at the current temperature value compared to the previous temperature value.
[0079] It can be understood that the change in air pressure between the current temperature value and the previous temperature value is the difference between the current air pressure value and the previous air pressure value, and the change in temperature between the current temperature value and the previous temperature value is the difference between the current temperature value and the previous temperature value.
[0080] S30. Determine whether the current air pressure value of the battery is less than the standard air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value. If so, determine that the battery is in normal working condition. Otherwise, determine whether the rate of change of the current air pressure of the battery is greater than or equal to the lithium plating alarm threshold. If so, determine that the battery is in abnormal working condition.
[0081] Specifically, this step involves: based on the standard atmospheric pressure value and lithium plating alarm threshold of the battery at the current temperature selected in step S20, comparing the current atmospheric pressure value at the current temperature with the standard atmospheric pressure value. If the current atmospheric pressure value of the battery is less than the standard atmospheric pressure value at the current temperature, the battery is determined to be in normal working condition. If the current atmospheric pressure value of the battery is greater than or equal to the standard atmospheric pressure value at the current temperature, the rate of change of the current atmospheric pressure of the battery is compared with the lithium plating alarm threshold. If the rate of change of the current atmospheric pressure of the battery is greater than or equal to the lithium plating alarm threshold, the battery is determined to be in abnormal working condition.
[0082] It is understandable that the standard atmospheric pressure value corresponding to the current temperature of the battery refers to the atmospheric pressure value that the battery typically has at the current temperature when it is in normal working condition. Since the internal atmospheric pressure of the battery changes with temperature fluctuations during normal operation, in order to avoid some potential safety risks going undetected, the standard atmospheric pressure value needs to be set relatively low. This ensures that if the current atmospheric pressure value of the battery is lower than the standard atmospheric pressure value corresponding to the current temperature, it can be accurately determined that the battery is in normal working condition.
[0083] In this embodiment, the condition for determining that the battery is in an abnormal operating state is: the current air pressure value of the battery is greater than or equal to the standard air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value, and the rate of change of the current air pressure of the battery is greater than or equal to the lithium plating alarm threshold. That is, when the current air pressure value of the battery is greater than or equal to the standard air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value, it is initially determined that the battery is in an abnormal operating state. Since the internal air pressure of the battery changes with temperature fluctuations during normal operation, in order to avoid frequent false alarms, it is necessary to further determine whether the rate of change of the current air pressure of the battery is greater than or equal to the lithium plating alarm threshold.
[0084] Specifically, when lithium plating occurs in a battery, indicating an abnormal operating state, the battery's pressure will exhibit abnormal changes. Specifically, the difference between the current and previous pressure values will be significant, while the difference between the current and previous temperature values will be small. This results in a large ratio between the current and previous pressure differences and the current and previous temperature differences. Therefore, by determining whether the rate of change in the battery's current pressure is greater than or equal to the lithium plating alarm threshold, the likelihood of lithium plating can be more accurately determined. Based on these two criteria, the system can more accurately determine whether a battery is in an abnormal operating state, particularly lithium plating, thereby improving the accuracy of lithium plating warnings, reducing the probability of false positives and the associated repair costs, and eliminating the influence of temperature on pressure, allowing for more precise setting of standard pressure values.
[0085] S40. When the battery is determined to be in an abnormal working state, a warning signal is issued.
[0086] In this step, when step S30 determines that the battery is in an abnormal working state, a warning signal will be issued to remind staff to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the battery.
[0087] In this embodiment, the battery is in an abnormal operating state, specifically including the battery being in a lithium plating state.
[0088] The battery early warning method provided in this embodiment acquires the battery's temperature and air pressure values in real time, determines whether the battery is in an abnormal working state based on the standard air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value and the lithium plating alarm threshold, and issues an early warning when the battery is in an abnormal working state. This avoids the inability to cross-verify when using only air pressure or temperature as a single parameter for early warning, thus improving the accuracy of the early warning, reducing the probability of false lithium plating judgment and the maintenance costs caused by false judgment, and eliminating the influence of temperature on air pressure, further allowing for more precise setting of the standard air pressure value.
[0089] This embodiment is a preferred embodiment, and the selection of the standard atmospheric pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery has been optimized.
[0090] Specifically, as shown in Figure 2, selecting the standard atmospheric pressure value corresponding to the current temperature of the battery involves the following steps:
[0091] S211. The room temperature test battery is pre-charged in a room temperature environment using a room temperature test charging regime or a room temperature test discharging regime, and the temperature and pressure values of the room temperature test battery are obtained in real time.
[0092] In this step, based on the preset charging power and preset discharging power mentioned in step S10, when the room temperature test battery is charged at a constant power in a room temperature environment with a room temperature test charging power, the temperature and pressure values of the room temperature test battery are obtained in real time through a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor; or, when the room temperature test battery is discharged at a constant power in a room temperature environment with a room temperature test discharging power, the temperature and pressure values of the room temperature test battery are obtained in real time through a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor.
[0093] S212. Select the air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery at room temperature as the standard air pressure value of the battery at the current temperature value.
[0094] In this step, based on the temperature and pressure values of the room temperature test battery obtained in real time in step S211, the current temperature value of the room temperature test battery is extracted, and the pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the room temperature test battery is selected according to the current temperature value of the room temperature test battery, and this pressure value is used as the standard pressure value of the battery at the current temperature value.
[0095] In this embodiment, it should be clarified that the specifications of the battery used for room temperature testing are the same as those of the battery itself; the charging regime for room temperature testing is the same as the preset charging regime; the discharging regime for room temperature testing is the same as the preset discharging regime; and the current temperature value of the battery used for room temperature testing is the same as that of the battery itself. Specifically, the charging power for room temperature testing is the same as the preset charging power, and the discharging power for room temperature testing is the same as the preset discharging power.
[0096] Preferably, in this embodiment, the pressure value corresponding to the current temperature of the room-temperature test battery is selected as the standard pressure value of the battery at the current temperature, specifically including the following steps:
[0097] S2121. Based on the temperature and pressure values of the battery at room temperature, a first linear function expression is fitted to show that the pressure and temperature values of the battery at room temperature are linearly related.
[0098] In this step, the first linear function relationship between the pressure and temperature values of the room-temperature test battery, obtained through fitting, is expressed by the following formula:
[0099] P1 = a1 * T1 + b1;
[0100] Where T1 represents the temperature value of the battery under normal temperature test, P1 represents the air pressure value corresponding to the temperature value, a1 represents the first slope, and b1 represents the first intercept.
[0101] S2122. Based on the first linear function relationship, calculate the air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the room temperature test battery, and use it as the standard air pressure value of the battery at the current temperature value.
[0102] In this step, the current temperature value of the room temperature test battery is substituted into the first linear function relationship mentioned above to calculate the air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the room temperature test battery, and this air pressure value is used as the standard air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery.
[0103] This embodiment, as a preferred embodiment, selects the air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature of the battery at room temperature as the standard air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature of the battery, and also includes the following steps:
[0104] S2123. Calculate the sum of the air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery under normal temperature testing and the battery's factory air pressure value, and use it as the standard air pressure value of the battery corresponding to the current temperature value.
[0105] In this step, the standard atmospheric pressure value of the battery at the current temperature can also be calculated using the following formula:
[0106] P 标准 =P0+a1*T1+b1;
[0107] Where P0 represents the battery's factory pressure, P 标准 The standard atmospheric pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value is represented by T1, the current temperature value of the battery under normal temperature test is represented by a1, and the first slope and the first intercept are represented by b1.
[0108] In this embodiment, the battery's factory pressure is generally 0. Increasing the battery's factory pressure as a benchmark can make the standard pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery more accurate.
[0109] In some preferred embodiments, the gas pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the test battery is selected, specifically including the following steps:
[0110] The minimum air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery in multiple tests is selected as the air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery in the room temperature test.
[0111] This step specifically involves: continuously and accurately recording the temperature value T1 and the corresponding air pressure value P1 during multiple charge-discharge tests on the battery at room temperature for each test. All test data are then categorized and organized according to temperature values to form multiple datasets of air pressure values corresponding to different temperature values.
[0112] For example, after multiple tests, the current temperature value may yield a series of corresponding air pressure values. Then, the minimum air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value is selected as the air pressure value of the battery at the current temperature for room temperature testing.
[0113] In this embodiment, the standard atmospheric pressure value corresponding to the current temperature of the battery is obtained based on the first linear function relationship. This parameter is used as a reference standard for subsequent judgment of abnormal battery operating status, thereby improving the accuracy of lithium plating warning.
[0114] This embodiment, as a preferred embodiment, optimizes the selection process for the lithium plating alarm threshold.
[0115] Specifically, as shown in Figure 3, selecting the lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current battery temperature involves the following steps:
[0116] S221. The room temperature test battery is pre-charged in a room temperature environment using a room temperature test charging regime or a room temperature test discharging regime, and the temperature and pressure values of the room temperature test battery are obtained in real time.
[0117] In this step, it is important to clarify that the specifications of the battery used for the room temperature test are the same as those of the battery itself, the charging regime for the room temperature test is the same as the preset charging regime, and the discharging regime for the room temperature test is the same as the preset discharging regime. Specifically, the charging power for the room temperature test is the same as the preset charging power, and the discharging power for the room temperature test is the same as the preset discharging power.
[0118] Therefore, in this step, the temperature of the ambient temperature is maintained, and the temperature and pressure values of the ambient temperature test battery are obtained, including: the temperature and pressure values of the ambient temperature test battery in real time obtained by temperature and pressure sensors when the ambient temperature test battery is charged at constant power in an ambient temperature environment with ambient temperature test charging power; or the temperature and pressure values of the ambient temperature test battery in real time obtained by temperature and pressure sensors when the ambient temperature test battery is discharged at constant power in an ambient temperature environment with ambient temperature test discharging power.
[0119] S222. The low-temperature test battery is pre-charged in a low-temperature environment using a low-temperature test charging regime or a low-temperature test discharging regime, and the temperature and pressure values of the low-temperature test battery are obtained in real time.
[0120] In this step, it is important to clarify that the specifications of the battery used for the low-temperature test are the same as those of the battery itself, the charging regime for the low-temperature test is the same as the preset charging regime, and the discharging regime for the low-temperature test is the same as the preset discharging regime. Specifically, the charging power for the low-temperature test is the same as the preset charging power, and the discharging power for the low-temperature test is the same as the preset discharging power.
[0121] Therefore, in this step, maintaining the temperature of the low-temperature environment and obtaining the temperature and pressure values of the low-temperature test battery includes: firstly, when the low-temperature test battery is charged at a constant power in a low-temperature environment with a low-temperature test charging power, so that the negative electrode of the low-temperature test battery reaches the lithium plating state, and during this process, the temperature and pressure values of the low-temperature test battery are obtained in real time through temperature sensors and pressure sensors; or secondly, when the low-temperature test battery is charged at a constant power in a low-temperature environment with a low-temperature test charging power, so that the negative electrode of the low-temperature test battery reaches the lithium plating state, and during this process, the temperature and pressure values of the low-temperature test battery are obtained in real time through temperature sensors and pressure sensors, and then when the low-temperature test battery is discharged at a constant power in a low-temperature environment with a low-temperature test discharge power, the temperature and pressure values of the low-temperature test battery are obtained in real time through temperature sensors and pressure sensors.
[0122] S223. Obtain the current pressure change rate of the room temperature test battery and the current pressure change rate of the low temperature test battery, and select any value between the current pressure change rate of the room temperature test battery and the current pressure change rate of the low temperature test battery as the lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery.
[0123] In this step, the current rate of change of air pressure of the room temperature test battery is calculated using the temperature and air pressure values obtained in step S221 above.
[0124] The temperature and pressure values of the low-temperature test battery obtained in step S222 above are used to calculate the current rate of change of the pressure of the low-temperature test battery.
[0125] The rate of change of the current air pressure of the room temperature test battery is defined as the ratio of the change in air pressure to the change in temperature at the current temperature value to the previous temperature value. The current temperature value of the room temperature test battery is the same as the current temperature value of the battery, and the previous temperature value of the room temperature test battery is the same as the previous temperature value of the battery.
[0126] The rate of change of the current air pressure of the low-temperature test battery is defined as the ratio of the change in air pressure to the change in temperature at the current temperature value to the previous temperature value. The current temperature value of the low-temperature test battery is the same as the current temperature value of the battery, and the previous temperature value of the low-temperature test battery is the same as the previous temperature value of the battery.
[0127] This embodiment, as a preferred embodiment, obtains the current pressure change rate of the room temperature test battery and the current pressure change rate of the low temperature test battery. An arbitrary value between these two rates is selected as the lithium plating alarm threshold for the battery at the current temperature. The specific steps include:
[0128] Based on the temperature and pressure values of the battery at room temperature, a first linear function relationship between the pressure and temperature values of the battery at room temperature is obtained by fitting.
[0129] The first linear function relationship is expressed by the following formula:
[0130] P1 = a1 * T1 + b1;
[0131] Where T1 represents the temperature value of the battery under normal temperature test, P1 represents the air pressure value corresponding to the temperature value, a1 represents the first slope, and b1 represents the first intercept.
[0132] Based on the temperature and pressure values of the low-temperature test battery, a second linear function relationship between the pressure and temperature values of the low-temperature test battery is obtained by fitting.
[0133] The second linear function relationship is expressed by the following formula:
[0134] P2 = a2 * T2 + b2;
[0135] Where T2 represents the temperature value of the battery in the low-temperature test, P2 represents the air pressure value corresponding to the temperature value, a2 represents the second slope, and b2 represents the second intercept.
[0136] Between the first slope of the first linear function and the second slope of the second linear function, any value is selected as the lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery.
[0137] Specifically, the value of the lithium plating alarm threshold h is between the first slope and the second slope, i.e., h∈(a₁, a₂).
[0138] By selecting the lithium plating alarm threshold h, it can be seen that when h∈(a₁, a₂), lithium plating may occur in the battery, that is, the battery may be in an abnormal working state and needs to be inspected.
[0139] This embodiment, as a preferred embodiment, obtains the current pressure change rate of the room temperature test battery and the current pressure change rate of the low temperature test battery, specifically including the following steps:
[0140] The minimum rate of change of current air pressure in multiple tests for the room temperature test battery was selected as the rate of change of current air pressure for the room temperature test battery; the minimum rate of change of current air pressure in multiple tests for the low temperature test battery was selected as the rate of change of current air pressure for the low temperature test battery.
[0141] Specifically, based on the temperature and pressure values of multiple sets of room temperature test batteries, the current pressure change rate of multiple sets of room temperature test batteries is calculated, and the minimum current pressure change rate is taken as the current pressure change rate of the room temperature test battery.
[0142] Similarly, based on the temperature and pressure values of multiple sets of low-temperature test batteries, the current pressure change rate of multiple sets of low-temperature test batteries is calculated, and the minimum current pressure change rate is taken as the current pressure change rate of the low-temperature test battery.
[0143] In this embodiment, a single room-temperature test battery can be used. This battery is charged at a constant power or discharged at a constant power in a room-temperature environment using a room-temperature test charging power. The temperature and pressure values of the battery are acquired in real time. Based on these values, a first linear function is fitted to show a linear relationship between the pressure and temperature, and the first slope of this function is determined. Similarly, a single low-temperature test battery can be used. This battery is charged at a constant power or discharged at a constant power in a low-temperature environment using a low-temperature test charging power. The temperature and pressure values are acquired in real time. Based on these values, a second linear function is fitted to show a linear relationship between the pressure and temperature, and the second slope of this function is determined. Finally, an arbitrary value is selected between the first slope of the first linear function and the second slope of the second linear function as the lithium plating alarm threshold for the battery at the current temperature.
[0144] In some optional embodiments, multiple room temperature test batteries can be used. Multiple room temperature test batteries are charged at a constant power or discharged at a constant power at a constant power at a constant temperature in a room temperature environment. The temperature and pressure values of multiple sets of room temperature test batteries are acquired in real time. Based on the temperature and pressure values of multiple sets of room temperature test batteries, a first linear function relationship between the pressure and temperature values of multiple sets of room temperature test batteries is fitted. The first slope of the multiple sets of first linear function relationships is determined, and the smallest first slope among the multiple sets of first slopes is selected as the first slope of the first linear function relationship. Multiple batteries can be used for low-temperature testing. These batteries are charged at a constant power or discharged at a constant power in a low-temperature environment. The temperature and pressure values of these batteries are acquired in real time. Based on these values, a second linear function is fitted, showing a linear relationship between the pressure and temperature. The second slope of this second linear function is determined, and the smallest slope among the multiple slopes is selected as the second slope of the second linear function. Then, an arbitrary value is selected between the first slope of the first linear function and the second slope of the second linear function as the lithium plating alarm threshold for the battery at the current temperature.
[0145] In this embodiment, the temperature setting range for the normal temperature environment is 20°C to 30°C; the temperature setting range for the low temperature environment is -5°C to -15°C.
[0146] Preferably, the ambient temperature selected in this embodiment is 25°C; the low temperature temperature selected in this embodiment is -10°C.
[0147] In this embodiment, the battery is charged at a constant power of 0.5P at room temperature; the battery for room temperature testing is charged at a constant power of 0.5P at room temperature; and the battery for low temperature testing is charged at a constant power of 0.5P at low temperature. Similarly, the battery is discharged at a constant power of 0.5P at room temperature; the battery for room temperature testing is discharged at a constant power of 0.5P at room temperature.
[0148] In some alternative implementations, embodiments of this application also provide a battery warning system.
[0149] As shown in Figure 4, the battery warning system includes: a data acquisition module 100, a data processing module 200, a judgment module 300, and a warning module 400. The data acquisition module 100, the data processing module 200, the judgment module 300, and the warning module 400 are connected in communication.
[0150] The data acquisition module 100 is used to acquire the temperature and pressure values of the battery in real time during charging or discharging, and send the temperature and pressure values to the data processing module 200 and the judgment module 300.
[0151] Specifically, when the battery is charged at room temperature under a preset charging regime or discharged under a preset discharging regime, the data acquisition module 100 acquires the battery's temperature and pressure values in real time and sends these values to the data processing module 200 and the judgment module 300.
[0152] The data acquisition module 100 includes a temperature sensor and a barometric pressure sensor.
[0153] The data processing module 200 is used to select the standard air pressure value and lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery, obtain the current air pressure change rate of the battery and send it to the judgment module 300.
[0154] Specifically, the data processing module 200 selects the standard atmospheric pressure value corresponding to the current temperature of the battery as follows:
[0155] The system pre-charges or discharges the battery at room temperature in a room temperature environment using a room temperature charging regime or a room temperature discharging regime, and acquires the temperature and pressure values of the battery in real time. The data processing module 200 selects the pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery as the standard pressure value of the battery at the current temperature value.
[0156] Among them, the specifications of the battery for room temperature testing are the same as those of the battery, the charging regime for room temperature testing is the same as the preset charging regime, the discharging regime for room temperature testing is the same as the preset discharging regime, and the current temperature value of the battery for room temperature testing is the same as that of the battery.
[0157] The specific implementation process of the data processing module 200 selecting the lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery is as follows:
[0158] The room temperature test battery is pre-charged in a room temperature environment using a room temperature test charging regime or a room temperature test discharging regime, and the temperature and pressure values of the room temperature test battery are obtained in real time.
[0159] The low-temperature test battery is pre-charged in a low-temperature environment using a low-temperature test charging regime or a low-temperature test discharging regime, and the temperature and pressure values of the low-temperature test battery are obtained in real time.
[0160] Obtain the current pressure change rate of the battery at room temperature and the current pressure change rate of the battery at low temperature. Select any value between the current pressure change rate of the battery at room temperature and the current pressure change rate of the battery at low temperature as the lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value.
[0161] The current pressure change rate of the room temperature test battery is defined as the ratio of the pressure change to the temperature change corresponding to the previous temperature value. The specifications of the room temperature test battery are the same as those of the battery. The room temperature test charging regime is the same as the preset charging regime. The room temperature test discharging regime is the same as the preset discharging regime. The current temperature value of the room temperature test battery is the same as the current temperature value of the battery. The previous temperature value of the room temperature test battery is the same as the previous temperature value of the battery.
[0162] The current pressure change rate of the low-temperature test battery is defined as the ratio of the pressure change to the temperature change corresponding to the previous temperature value. The specifications of the low-temperature test battery are the same as those of the battery. The low-temperature test charging regime is the same as the preset charging regime. The low-temperature test discharging regime is the same as the preset discharging regime. The current temperature value of the low-temperature test battery is the same as the current temperature value of the battery. The previous temperature value of the low-temperature test battery is the same as the previous temperature value of the battery.
[0163] The determination module 300 is used to determine whether the current air pressure value of the battery is less than the standard air pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value, and whether the current air pressure change rate of the battery is greater than or equal to the lithium plating alarm threshold, thereby determining whether the battery is in an abnormal working state, and sending the determination result of the battery being in an abnormal working state to the warning module 400.
[0164] Specifically, based on the standard atmospheric pressure value and lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value selected by the data processing module 200, the determination module 300 compares the current atmospheric pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value obtained by the data acquisition module 100 with the standard atmospheric pressure value. When the current atmospheric pressure value of the battery is less than the standard atmospheric pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value, the battery is determined to be in normal working condition. When the current atmospheric pressure value of the battery is greater than or equal to the standard atmospheric pressure value corresponding to the current temperature value, the rate of change of the current atmospheric pressure of the battery is compared with the lithium plating alarm threshold. When the rate of change of the current atmospheric pressure of the battery is greater than or equal to the lithium plating alarm threshold, the battery is determined to be in abnormal working condition.
[0165] The early warning module 400 is used to issue early warning signals.
[0166] Specifically, when the judgment module 300 determines that the battery is in an abnormal working state, the warning module 400 will issue a warning signal to remind the staff to carry out a comprehensive inspection of the battery.
[0167] In this embodiment, the specific process by which the data acquisition module 100 of the battery early warning system acquires the temperature and pressure values of the battery during charging or discharging is the same as the process for acquiring the temperature and pressure values of the battery in the above-described battery early warning method, and will not be repeated in this embodiment.
[0168] The selection process of the standard pressure value and lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery in the data processing module 200 is the same as the selection process of the standard pressure value and lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value of the battery in the battery early warning method described above. The calculation process of the current pressure change rate of the battery is the same as the calculation process of the current pressure change rate of the battery in the battery early warning method described above. It will not be repeated in this embodiment.
[0169] The determination process of the determination module 300 for determining the normal working state or abnormal working state of the battery is the same as the determination process of the normal working state or abnormal working state of the battery in the above-mentioned battery early warning method, and will not be repeated in this embodiment.
[0170] The battery early warning system provided in this application acquires the battery's temperature and pressure values in real time through the data acquisition module 100. Based on the standard pressure value and lithium plating alarm threshold corresponding to the current temperature value selected by the data processing module 200, the judgment module 300 determines whether the battery is in an abnormal working state. When the battery is in an abnormal working state, the early warning module 400 issues an early warning. This avoids the inability to perform cross-verification when using only pressure or temperature as a single parameter for early warning, thus improving the accuracy of lithium plating early warning, reducing the probability of false lithium plating judgment and the maintenance costs caused by false judgment, and eliminating the influence of temperature on pressure, further allowing for more precise setting of the standard pressure value.
