[0046] In the following description, specific details such as particular system architectures and techniques are set forth for illustrative purposes and not for limiting purposes, so as to provide a thorough understanding of this disclosure. However, those skilled in the art will understand that this disclosure may be implemented in other embodiments without these specific details. In other instances, detailed descriptions of well-known systems, apparatuses, circuits, and methods have been omitted so as not to obscure the description of this disclosure with unnecessary detail.

[0047] To make the objectives, technical solutions, and advantages of this disclosure clearer, specific embodiments will be described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0048] Referring to Figure 1, it shows a schematic diagram of the structure of an intelligent computing center provided in an embodiment of this disclosure. The intelligent computing center includes a power supply system, a heat source, and a liquid cooling system; the liquid cooling system dissipates heat from the heat source; the power supply system supplies power to the heat source.

[0049] Referring to Figure 1, a liquid cooling system may include control equipment and a liquid cooling unit, with the liquid cooling unit being controlled by the control equipment. For example, the control equipment may send a liquid supply control command to the liquid cooling unit, which then provides cooling medium to the heat source according to the command, thereby cooling, reducing temperature, and dissipating heat, enabling the heat source to operate within its normal temperature range and avoiding any impact on its performance and lifespan.

[0050] The liquid supply control command can be a temperature control command to control the temperature of the cooling medium, such as the final set temperature mentioned later; the liquid supply control command can also be a flow rate or velocity control command to control the flow rate or velocity of the cooling medium; and so on. The cooling medium can be water or an aqueous solution of ethylene glycol, or other coolable media, without specific limitations.

[0051] A heat source can be any device in a computing center that requires heat dissipation, also known as a load. For example, a heat source can be at least one of the following: computing devices, network devices, storage devices, and power supply devices. Computing devices can include at least one of the following: central processing unit (CPU), graphics processing unit (GPU), tensor processing unit (TPU), field-programmable gate array (FPGA), and server; network devices can include at least one of the following: switch and router; storage devices can include at least one of the following: hard disk and storage controller; and power supply devices can include at least one of the following: power distribution unit, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), and energy storage devices.

[0052] The control device can be a controller, such as a digital signal processor (DSP) or a controller in a liquid cooling system, and so on.

[0053] In the intelligent computing center, the power supply system can provide power to the heat source. The control equipment can obtain the power supply capacity of the power supply system to the heat source, and then generate a liquid supply control command based on the power supply capacity, which is sent to the liquid cooling unit. The liquid cooling unit supplies liquid to the heat source for cooling based on the liquid supply control command, so that the heat source can achieve the purpose of cooling and heat dissipation.

[0054] The control method of the liquid cooling system provided in the embodiments of this disclosure will be described below based on Figure 1 and in conjunction with Figure 2.

[0055] Referring to Figure 2, it shows a flowchart of the implementation of a liquid cooling system control method with cold and electric linkage provided in an embodiment of the present disclosure. The main body executing the liquid cooling system control method with cold and electric linkage is the control device.

[0056] As shown in Figure 1, the liquid cooling system dissipates heat from the heat source, which is powered by the power supply system. Referring to Figure 2, the method is described in detail below:

[0057] In S101, the power supply power of the power supply system to the heat source is obtained.

[0058] The heat source in this embodiment is a device whose heat is absorbed by the liquid cooling unit in the liquid cooling system. It may include at least one heat dissipation device in the intelligent computing center, such as at least one of the above-mentioned computing devices, network devices, storage devices, and power supply devices.

[0059] Referring to Figure 1, the power supply power from the power supply system to the heat source can be obtained based on the power supply system. In practical applications, the power supply frequency when the power supply system supplies power to the heat source can be obtained through any feasible method. For example, the power supply power from the power supply system to the heat source can be directly measured using a power meter or multimeter; alternatively, the voltage and current of the heat source can be measured, and the power supply power can be calculated from the voltage and current; and so on.

[0060] When the heat source includes multiple devices, the power supply of the heat source can be the sum of the power supply of the multiple devices. For example, if a liquid cooling unit cools and dissipates heat for multiple devices, then the heat source includes all of those devices.

[0061] It should be noted that the embodiments of this disclosure can obtain the real-time power supply of the power supply system to the heat source, or it can obtain the power supply of the power supply system to the heat source once at a time interval. The duration of this period can be set according to actual needs, for example, it can be the set duration mentioned later, or it can be longer or shorter than the set duration.

[0062] In S102, the amount of heat generated by the heat source within a set time period is determined based on the power supply.

[0063] This embodiment of the disclosure can determine the heat generated by the heat source within a set time period based on the power supply, thereby determining the amount of heat that the cooling medium in the liquid chiller needs to absorb. This heat reflects the change in power consumption of the heat source, allowing the temperature compensation value of the liquid chiller to be determined accordingly. This enables the liquid chiller to respond promptly to the rapidly increasing heat dissipation demand caused by the rapid increase in power consumption of the heat source.

[0064] In order to enable the liquid cooling system to respond quickly, the set duration can be a relatively short duration. The specific value of the set duration can be set according to actual needs, and no specific restrictions are imposed here.

[0065] In S103, the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system is determined based on heat.

[0066] Specifically, the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system can be the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling unit, which refers to the temperature that the liquid cooling unit needs to compensate for in response to changes in the power consumption of the heat source.

[0067] The embodiments disclosed herein can determine the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system based on the heat generated by the heat source within a set time period, so as to compensate for the initial set temperature of the liquid cooling system.

[0068] In S104, the initial set temperature of the liquid cooling system is compensated according to the temperature compensation value to obtain the final set temperature, and the liquid cooling system is controlled according to the final set temperature.

[0069] The initial set temperature of the liquid cooling system, also known as the initial set temperature of the liquid cooling unit, is the set temperature of the cooling medium in the liquid cooling system (or liquid cooling unit) before considering the aforementioned heat effect. The final set temperature is the set temperature of the cooling medium in the liquid cooling system (or liquid cooling unit) after considering the aforementioned heat effect; that is, the set temperature after compensating the initial set temperature with the aforementioned temperature compensation value, and can also be called the target set temperature.

[0070] The liquid cooling unit in the liquid cooling system is controlled by a final set temperature so that the temperature of the cooling medium in the liquid cooling unit meets the aforementioned final set temperature.

[0071] This embodiment of the disclosure determines the heat generated by the heat source within a set time period by the power supply power of the power supply system to the heat source. Then, based on the heat, the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system is determined, and the initial set temperature of the liquid cooling system is compensated according to the temperature compensation value to obtain the final set temperature. The liquid cooling system is controlled by the final set temperature, so that the set temperature of the liquid cooling system can be compensated based on the power consumption change of the heat source. This allows the liquid cooling system to respond in a timely manner to the heat dissipation demand caused by the rapid change in the power consumption of the heat source, and avoids the heat source temperature from being too high and affecting performance.

[0072] The above embodiments describe the overall implementation process of the liquid cooling system control method with cold and electric linkage, which involves determining the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system based on heat. The following describes in detail how to determine the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system based on the heat.

[0073] In some embodiments, S103 may include:

[0074] Based on heat, determine the compensation temperature for power quantity and the compensation temperature for power abrupt changes.

[0075] The temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system is determined based on the compensation temperature for power quantity and the compensation temperature for power abrupt changes.

[0076] In this embodiment, the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system consists of two parts: the compensation temperature for power quantity and the compensation temperature for power abrupt changes. The compensation temperature for power quantity can also be referred to as the response temperature to power quantity, and the compensation temperature for power abrupt changes can also be referred to as the response temperature to power abrupt changes.

[0077] Since power generates heat when a heat source is working, and sudden changes in power will cause sudden changes in heat, the embodiments of this disclosure have targeted response temperatures for both situations to absorb the heat generated in both situations.

[0078] The compensation temperature for power quantity can be understood as a temperature compensation value based on the power quantity, specifically representing the response temperature corresponding to the cooling required by the power, and characterizing the response to the power quantity; the compensation temperature for power fluctuation can be understood as a temperature compensation value based on the power fluctuation, specifically representing the response temperature corresponding to the cooling required by the power fluctuation, and characterizing the dynamic performance response.

[0079] In some embodiments, determining the compensation temperature for power quantity and the compensation temperature for power abrupt changes based on heat includes:

[0080] According to ΔT1=-K P W determines the compensation temperature ΔT1 for the power quantity; where W is the heat, K P This is the compensation coefficient for the power quantity;

[0081] according to Determine the compensation temperature ΔT2 for the power mutation; where K D This is the compensation coefficient for sudden power changes; It is the differential of heat, which can also be understood as the rate of change of heat over time.

[0082] Among them, the compensation coefficient K for power quantity P and the compensation coefficient K for power mutation D It can be determined through relevant experiments or based on relevant experience; no specific restrictions are imposed here.

[0083] In some embodiments, determining the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system based on the compensation temperature for power quantity and the compensation temperature for power abrupt changes includes:

[0084] The sum of the compensation temperature for power quantity and the compensation temperature for power abrupt changes is taken as the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system.

[0085] Based on the heat generated by the heat source within a set time period, the embodiments of this disclosure determine the compensation temperature for the power quantity and the compensation temperature for the power fluctuation, respectively. Based on the compensation temperature for the power quantity and the compensation temperature for the power fluctuation, the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system is determined, so that the final set temperature can respond to the power and dynamic performance of the heat source and meet the liquid cooling requirements of the heat source.

[0086] Based on the foregoing embodiments, S103 may further include:

[0087] Compare the absolute value of the heat with the size of the preset detection dead zone;

[0088] If the absolute value of the heat is less than or equal to the preset detection dead zone, the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system is 0.

[0089] Accordingly, the above-mentioned determination of the compensation temperature for power quantity and the compensation temperature for power abrupt changes based on heat includes:

[0090] If the absolute value of the heat is greater than the preset detection dead zone, then the compensation temperature for the power quantity and the compensation temperature for the power mutation quantity are determined based on the heat.

[0091] The size of the preset detection dead zone can be determined based on relevant engineering experience.

[0092] When the absolute value of the heat is less than or equal to the preset detection dead zone, it indicates that the heat is small and no response is needed, or the minimum response temperature of the liquid cooling system is not reached (i.e., absorbing this heat may not result in a temperature change). Therefore, the temperature compensation value of the liquid cooling system is 0. When the absolute value of the heat is greater than the preset detection dead zone, the heat is large and reaches the minimum response temperature of the liquid cooling system. The temperature compensation value can be calculated based on the method of the aforementioned embodiment.

[0093] The following section will explain how to determine the amount of heat generated by a heat source within a set time period based on the power supply.

[0094] In some embodiments, S102 may include:

[0095] By performing a sliding integral on the power supply, the amount of heat generated by the heat source within a set time period can be determined.

[0096] This embodiment of the disclosure can perform a sliding integral on the power supply of the heat source each time the power supply is collected, to determine the heat generated by the heat source within a set time period. The sliding integral refers to integrating the signal within a time window, which slides forward over time. The duration of the sliding integral time window is the aforementioned set time period.

[0097] In some embodiments, the above-described method of determining the heat generated by the heat source within a set time period by performing a sliding integral on the power supply includes:

[0098] according to Determine the heat W generated by the heat source within a set time period; where P is the power supply, Δt is the set time period, and t is the start time of the set time period.

[0099] The time window of this embodiment is from t to t+Δt; where t changes with time.

[0100] In some embodiments, in S104, the above-mentioned compensation of the initial set temperature of the liquid cooling system based on the temperature compensation value to obtain the final set temperature includes:

[0101] The sum of the temperature compensation value and the initial set temperature is used as the final set temperature.

[0102] In some possible implementations, after compensating the initial set temperature of the liquid cooling system according to the temperature compensation value to obtain the final set temperature in S104 above, the following may also be included:

[0103] The final set temperature is limited, and the limited final set temperature is used as the final target set temperature.

[0104] Accordingly, in S104 above, the liquid cooling system is controlled according to the final set temperature, including:

[0105] The liquid cooling system is controlled based on the final target temperature set above.

[0106] In some possible implementations, following S103 above, the following may also be included:

[0107] The above temperature compensation value is subjected to amplitude limiting to obtain the amplitude-limited temperature compensation value;

[0108] Accordingly, in S104 above, compensating the initial set temperature of the liquid cooling system based on the temperature compensation value to obtain the final set temperature may include:

[0109] The initial set temperature of the liquid cooling system is compensated based on the temperature compensation value after the limiting process to obtain the final set temperature.

[0110] Among them, the limiting process can adopt the limiting method in related technologies to prevent the temperature compensation value or the final set temperature from being greater than the corresponding preset maximum value or less than the corresponding preset minimum value.

[0111] For example, if the temperature compensation value is greater than the corresponding preset maximum value, then the temperature compensation value after the limiting process is its corresponding preset maximum value; if the temperature compensation value is less than the corresponding preset minimum value, then the temperature compensation value after the limiting process is its corresponding preset minimum value; if the temperature compensation value is between the corresponding preset minimum value and the corresponding preset maximum value, then the temperature compensation value after the limiting process is still the above-mentioned temperature compensation value.

[0112] Similarly, if the final set temperature is greater than the corresponding preset maximum value, the final set temperature after limiting is its corresponding preset maximum value; if the final set temperature is less than the corresponding preset minimum value, the final set temperature after limiting is its corresponding preset minimum value; if the final set temperature is between the corresponding preset minimum value and the corresponding preset maximum value, the final set temperature after limiting is still the same as the above final set temperature.

[0113] The preset maximum and minimum values corresponding to the temperature compensation value and the final set temperature can be set according to actual needs, and no specific limitations are made here.

[0114] The liquid cooling system control method with cold and electricity linkage provided in this disclosure can improve the cooling capacity response speed of the liquid cooling system by feeding back the power consumption of the heat source; and can improve the dynamic performance of the liquid cooling system by determining the temperature compensation value based on the proportional-derivative method.

[0115] It should be understood that the sequence number of each step in the above embodiments does not imply the order of execution. The execution order of each process should be determined by its function and internal logic, and should not constitute any limitation on the implementation process of the embodiments of this disclosure.

[0127] according to Determine the compensation temperature ΔT2 for the power mutation; where K D This is the compensation coefficient for sudden power changes; This is the differential of heat.
