[0001] Cross-references to related applications

[0002] This application claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 2025104590383, filed on April 14, 2025, entitled "A Wheel-Driven Track-Type Gravity Flow Energy Storage System and Energy Storage Method", and Chinese Patent Application No. 2025206896187, filed on April 14, 2025, entitled "A Track-Type Gravity Flow Energy Storage System", the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field

[0003] This application relates to the field of gravity energy storage, and more specifically, to an orbital gravity flow energy storage system and energy storage method. Background Technology

[0004] In recent years, my country's electricity demand has maintained a steady growth trend, and the proportion of new power generation technologies such as wind and solar power in energy utilization has also been gradually increasing. However, renewable energy sources, mainly wind and solar power, are characterized by randomness, volatility, and intermittency, and cannot fully meet the society's electricity demand. Therefore, it is necessary to utilize energy storage systems to regulate the demand for electricity generation and consumption.

[0005] Current energy storage methods include gravity storage, electrochemical storage, chemical storage, and thermal storage. However, electrochemical, chemical, and thermal storage methods suffer from energy loss, making them unsuitable for long-term energy storage, and they also generally present safety issues.

[0006] Gravity-based energy storage methods, such as pumped hydro storage and flywheel storage, have high requirements for terrain and space, making them difficult to deploy widely. Therefore, gravity energy storage that generates electricity based on elevation differences is gradually attracting attention.

[0007] Existing gravity energy storage systems employ large loads and sequential lifting and lowering, which mainly present the following technical problems:

[0008] The intermittent load generated by the sequential lifting of energy storage blocks results in discontinuous charging and discharging.

[0009] The problem of real-time load matching is that the weight of the load is fixed during a single power generation process, so the power generation is also fixed and cannot be dynamically adjusted according to the actual load demand. Summary of the Invention

[0046] In an optional embodiment, the transport mechanism includes a load frame, on which a connecting rod for mounting the energy storage block is provided;

[0048] In an optional implementation, the energy storage block corresponds one-to-one with the transport mechanism, or the energy storage block corresponds to the transport mechanism at intervals, and the speed of the transport mechanism following the traction rope is adjustable, thereby realizing the adjustable gravity flow.

[0049] Secondly, the present invention provides an orbital gravity flow energy storage method, implemented using the orbital gravity flow energy storage system described in the foregoing embodiments, including an energy storage stage and a discharge stage:

[0050] During the energy storage phase, the energy storage blocks located in the stacking yard at the bottom of the energy storage system are continuously transported from bottom to top through the track-type gravity flow energy storage system, and a continuous gravity flow is formed by lifting the energy storage blocks;

[0051] During the discharge phase, the energy storage blocks located at the top of the energy storage system are continuously transported from top to bottom through the orbital gravity flow energy storage system, forming a continuous energy flow through the descent of the energy storage blocks.

[0052] In an optional embodiment, the transport mechanism is equidistantly connected to the traction rope;

[0053] The energy storage block can correspond to the transport mechanism or can correspond to the transport mechanism at intervals. The speed of the transport mechanism following the traction rope is adjustable, thereby realizing the adjustment of the gravity flow.

[0054] In an optional embodiment, the track-mounted gravity flow energy storage system includes multiple sets, which are arranged in parallel rows and / or stacked vertically on a hillside.

[0055] The track-mounted gravity flow energy storage system in this application enables distributed load-bearing of gravity energy storage blocks, avoids single-point overload, and improves the safety of system operation.

[0056] Through the cooperation of the carrying track, the transport mechanism and the traction rope, multiple transport mechanisms can form a continuous steady-state traction operation during the operation of the drive wheel. Combined with the transport mechanism's transport of the energy storage block, a stable and continuous gravity flow and energy flow can be obtained in the energy storage and discharge stages. Under the premise of improving the transport capacity, the high-efficiency operation of energy storage and power generation can be guaranteed, and high-power energy storage / discharge can be realized.

[0057] By decoupling the load-bearing traction formed by the load-bearing track and the traction rope, compared with common gravity flow energy storage systems, the system has a stronger load-bearing capacity and a more balanced load, making the formation process of continuous gravity flow and energy flow more stable and reliable.

[0058] Parallel vertically mounted drive wheels or horizontally arranged drive drums can reduce space requirements and facilitate the formation of drive traction surfaces corresponding to the two traction ropes, ensuring a stable and reliable continuous cycle of the traction ropes.

[0059] By using a combination of load-bearing rails, a transport mechanism, and traction ropes, a three-in-one composite transmission system is constructed, which maximizes safety and stability compared to the traditional single-cable simultaneous load-bearing and traction.

[0060] Meanwhile, the energy storage blocks are transported and lifted by the transport mechanism. Compared with the detached installation of energy storage blocks, this simplifies the transport structure, reduces the number of additional components that require frequent opening and closing of energy storage blocks, ensures the reliability of system installation, and reduces maintenance costs.

[0061] The track-type gravity flow energy storage method in this application can form a continuous steady-state gravity flow and energy flow. By adjusting the rotation speed of the electric generator and the connection interval of the energy storage blocks, the real-time power consumption or power generation can be arbitrarily adjusted, thereby realizing the functions of "slow charging and fast discharging" or "on-demand charging and discharging".

[0062] By combining multiple track-mounted gravity flow energy storage systems in parallel and / or stacked configurations according to the hillside terrain, larger-scale energy storage can be achieved.

[0063] Other features and advantages of this application will be described in detail in the following detailed description section. Attached Figure Description

[0088] In the description of this application, it should also be noted that, unless otherwise expressly specified and limited, the terms "setup" and "connection" should be interpreted broadly. For example, they can refer to a fixed connection, a detachable connection, or an integral connection; they can refer to a direct connection or an indirect connection through an intermediate medium; and they can refer to the internal connection of two components. Those skilled in the art can understand the specific meaning of the above terms in this application based on the specific circumstances.

[0089] The track-type gravity flow energy storage system in this application is mainly used in the field of gravity energy storage. By combining the track bearing effect with the traction effect, it realizes the continuous operation of the energy storage carrier, thereby realizing continuous gravity flow and energy flow.

[0090] By optimizing the structure and energy storage methods of existing gravity energy storage systems, a continuous and stable gravity flow and energy flow can be formed, while creating space for adjusting the scale of the gravity flow and energy flow.

[0091] By combining the load-bearing effect with the traction effect, the load-bearing and traction effects are decoupled, which can avoid the risk of stress concentration at a single point, while ensuring the stability and reliability of continuous gravity flow and energy flow.

[0092] Referring to Figures 1 and 5, the main structure of the track-type gravity flow energy storage system of the present invention includes a dual-cycle bearing mechanism, a dual-cycle traction mechanism, a drive mechanism, and a steering mechanism. The main structure composed of the above-mentioned different mechanisms is set between the top storage yard and the bottom storage yard.

[0093] The dual-cycle load-bearing mechanism and the dual-cycle traction mechanism each include a pair of load-bearing rails 1 and traction ropes 2, which specifically form a load-bearing structure and a traction structure.

[0094] The carrying track 1 includes a closed track, and the traction rope 2 is enclosed and wrapped between the drive mechanism and the steering mechanism and runs continuously under the drive of the drive mechanism;

[0095] Multiple transport mechanisms 4 that can run in a closed loop are arranged between the bearing rails 1. The traction rope 2 is connected to the transport mechanism 4 so that the traction rope 2 can pull and drive the transport mechanism 4 to run continuously. The transport mechanism 4 is used to transport the energy storage block 5 as an energy storage carrier.

[0096] The drive mechanism is connected to an electric power generation mechanism 6. The drive mechanism continuously lifts the energy storage block 5 located at the bottom stacking yard to form a continuous gravity flow, and continuously lowers the energy storage block 5 located at the top stacking yard to convert the gravitational potential energy into electrical energy of the electric power generation mechanism 6 to form a continuous energy flow.

[0097] The orbital gravity flow energy storage system of this invention can form a stable and continuous carrying state for the energy storage block 5, and can form an effective and continuous gravity flow and energy flow during the energy storage and discharge stages.

[0098] The drive mechanism is located in the top storage yard, and the steering mechanism is located in the bottom storage yard. That is, the drive mechanism is installed on a high-level terrain platform. With this configuration, the drive mechanism can directly output and transmit the traction load to the transport mechanism 4 and the energy storage block 5, reducing the load on the energy storage system during the energy storage process and reducing the overall force load on the traction rope 2. Compared with the traditional form of setting the drive mechanism at the bottom, it can reduce the ineffective load during bottom traction and improve the conversion rate during the energy storage process.

[0099] It should be noted that, in addition to the most economical top-drive form, a bottom-drive form can also be used, with the drive mechanism located in the bottom storage yard and the steering mechanism located in the top storage yard, so that the drive mechanism is installed on a low-lying terrain platform to achieve bottom-drive.

[0100] Alternatively, drive mechanisms can be installed in both the top and bottom storage yards to form a form in which the top and bottom can be driven upwards and downwards simultaneously. Both can meet the lifting and lowering requirements of the transport mechanism 4 and the energy storage block 5. The specific settings can be made according to the actual situation.

[0101] Regarding the specific structure of the track bearing, the dual-cycle bearing mechanism includes two parallel upward-inclined closed-loop bearing tracks 1, and the dual-cycle traction mechanism includes two parallel upward-inclined closed-loop traction ropes 2. At least a portion of the traction ropes 2 are wrapped around the drive mechanism and the steering mechanism and run continuously under the drive of the drive mechanism.

[0102] The dual-track structure, consisting of two parallel, upward-sloping closed-loop bearing tracks 1, provides a bearing effect and enables distributed bearing of the gravity energy storage block 5. Compared to a single-track structure, this reduces the load intensity, avoids the risk of single-point overload, and improves the safety margin of the system operation.

[0103] Meanwhile, the two parallel, upward-inclined, closed-loop traction ropes 2 can run continuously and dynamically under the drive mechanism, forming a running structure to provide traction effect. Combined with the transport mechanism 4 that can run in a closed loop along the bearing track 1, and the connection between the transport mechanism 4 and the traction ropes 2, multiple transport mechanisms 4 can form a continuous traction operation state under the dual action of the bearing track 1 and the traction ropes 2.

[0104] On the one hand, it can realize the multi-point distribution of the carrier mechanism 4 on the carrier track 1 and the synchronous traction under the action of the traction rope 2. On the other hand, it can enable the energy storage block 5 to form a continuous carrier operation state.

[0105] By lifting and transporting the energy storage block 5 by the continuously traction-operated transport mechanism 4, a steady-state continuous gravity flow can be formed during the energy storage stage, and a steady-state continuous energy flow can be formed during the discharge stage by releasing the gravity flow.

[0106] The continuous traction operation formed by multiple carrier mechanisms 4 can increase the maximum carrying capacity of the system, ensure the high-efficiency operation of energy storage and power generation, and realize high-power energy storage / discharge.

[0107] The cooperation between the bearing track 1 and the traction rope 2 can form a separate setting for bearing and traction. When the energy storage block 5 is being transported, the bearing track 1 supports the weight of the transport mechanism 4 and the energy storage block 5, and the traction rope 2 pulls the transport mechanism 4 and the energy storage block 5 to slide along the track.

[0108] By decoupling the load-bearing and traction functions as described above, the stress concentration problem of traditional single-cable load-bearing traction systems can be solved. Furthermore, the mutual interference between load-bearing and traction can be reduced by having independent structures cooperate with each other, thus ensuring the stability and reliability of both load-bearing and traction effects.

[0109] In order to enable the transport mechanism 4 to maintain a cooperative relationship with both the bearing track 1 and the traction rope 2, the traction rope 2 is set inside the bearing track 1, the transport mechanism 4 is connected between the two traction ropes 2, and the two sides of the transport mechanism 4 pass over the traction ropes 2 and are mounted on the bearing track 1.

[0110] In addition to setting the traction rope 2 inside the bearing track 1, the traction rope 2 can also be set outside the bearing track 1, so that the transport mechanism 4 can be slidably set between the bearing tracks 1, and the two sides of the transport mechanism 4 can cross the bearing track 1 and be connected and assembled with the traction rope 2, so that the transport mechanism 4 can drive the energy storage block 5 to rise and fall under the dual effects of bearing and traction.

[0111] Based on the structure of the closed loop of the carrying track 1 and the closed loop of the traction rope 2, the closed loop plane of the carrying track 1 and the closed loop plane of the traction rope 2 are parallel to each other, and at the same time constitute a stable and reliable operating carrying surface and traction surface relative to the transport mechanism 4, thereby minimizing the risk of the transport mechanism 4 deviating and ensuring operational stability.

[0112] From the perspective of the parallel arrangement of the carrying rails 1, the two carrying rails 1 are mirror-symmetrical with respect to the traction rope 2, and each carrying rail 1 includes an upper branch rail and a lower branch rail corresponding to the upper and lower sides respectively;

[0113] The upward branch track and the downward branch track each include an inclined section, a horizontal guide section, an arc-shaped turning section and an end turning section that are arranged opposite to each other, and at least a part of the branch track is cross-overlaid at the end turning section.

[0114] Referring to the attached diagram, each of the two load-bearing tracks 1 is not a closed structure assembled from the connecting and splicing of the upward and downward branch tracks, but rather forms a closed loop space for each load-bearing track 1 through overlapping.

[0115] Specifically, after being guided by the horizontal guide section 1b and turned by the arc-shaped turning section 1c, the top of the upward branch track 11 stops extending after a certain distance of the end turning section 1d, and intersects and overlaps with the horizontal guide section 1b at the top of the downward branch track 12, thus forming a continuous connection after the turning of the transport mechanism 4 in the gap of the intersecting and overlapping part.

[0116] Through the aforementioned overlapping and interlocking relationships, a closed-loop loop track is formed, ensuring that the transport mechanism 4 always travels on the load-bearing track 1, avoiding the risk of derailment and ensuring stability and reliability.

[0117] From the perspective of parallel arrangement of the traction ropes 2, the two traction ropes 2 each include a single closed loop traction rope 2. A section of the loop traction rope 2 passes around the drive wheel 3, and the loop traction rope 2 and the different sections corresponding to the bearing track 1 are on the same plane, forming the closed loop plane of the traction rope 2.

[0118] Preferably, the annular traction rope 2 is arranged vertically on the same plane, and its wrapping between the drive mechanism and the steering mechanism can maintain a relatively stable drive traction surface that is parallel to the carrying track 1.

[0119] From the perspective of the connection between the traction rope 2 and the transport mechanism 4, the transport mechanism 4 is connected to the traction rope 2 through the rope connection mechanism 8 located on the side. The rope connection mechanism 8 is connected and installed on the transport mechanism 4 and is fixedly connected to the traction rope 2.

[0120] The transport mechanism 4 includes a mounting plate 45 for mounting the rope connection mechanism 8. In order to take into account the fixed connection relationship between the transport mechanism 4 and the traction rope 2 when the transport mechanism 4 is flipped and reversed, the rope connection mechanism 8 is mounted on the mounting plate 45 of the transport mechanism 4 through a slewing bearing 81.

[0121] Referring to Figure 9, specifically, the rope connection mechanism 8 includes a fixing device fixed to the traction rope 2, as shown in the figure, a gripper structure, the fixing device including a fixing gripper with jaws 82, the traction rope 2 being fixedly installed in the jaws 82.

[0122] It should be noted that this application does not limit the specific form of the rope connection mechanism 8. In addition to the claw type mentioned above, it can also be other forms such as connecting rope, as long as it satisfies the fixed connection relationship between the transport mechanism 4 and the traction rope 2. It will not be elaborated here.

[0123] In addition to the factors to consider when the traction rope 2 is overturned, as mentioned above, the limiting guidance of the transport mechanism 4 during turning should also be given priority, so that the transport mechanism 4 can effectively and stably overturn and change direction along the turning part of the carrying track 1.

[0124] The load-bearing track 1 is equipped with rotary guide rails 9 at the drive mechanism and steering mechanism, and the rotary guide rails 9 are used to stably guide the flipping and reversing.

[0125] The slewing guide rail 9 includes a slewing connecting guide rail section 91 and a steering rail section 92. The guide rail section 91 and the steering rail section 92 respectively include a horizontal rail and an arc-shaped rail that are separated from the bearing rail 1.

[0126] Specifically, the horizontal rail and the curved rail are set outside the bearing rail 1 and are positioned relative to the center of the bearing rail 1. The starting end of the guide rail section 91 is set above the horizontal guide section 1b of the bearing rail 1 and merges into one of the branch rails after the turning rail section 92, i.e. the curved rail, rotates. For example, the guide rail section 91 located above the top of the upward branch rail 11 merges into the downward branch rail 12 after rotation, ensuring that the transport mechanism 4 obtains a relatively reliable turning connection.

[0127] The horizontal guide section 1b of the other branch track is interrupted at the merging point of the rotary guide rail 9. Referring to the attached figure, it can be seen that the upward branch track 11 is interrupted after passing the arc-shaped turning section 1c and then the end turning section 1d of a certain length, thus completing the cross-over of the two branch tracks mentioned above.

[0128] Through the cooperation between different branch tracks and different rotary guide rails 9, the transportation mechanism 4 can be seamlessly connected at the turning parts of the drive mechanism and the steering mechanism, maintaining its stable operation on the closed-loop carrying track 1, and greatly ensuring the continuous operation of the transportation mechanism 4.

[0129] In this application, the angle between the inclined section 1a of the bearing track 1 and the horizontal plane is 15-75°, which can be set according to the specific hillside terrain.

[0130] Meanwhile, a support column 10 is provided on the outside of the bearing track 1, and a support leg 10a is provided on the top and middle of the support column 10 to facilitate the installation of the upward branch track 11 and the downward branch track 12.

[0131] The structural basis of the track-type gravity flow energy storage system in this application is based on the load-bearing effect of the track and the traction effect of the cable.

[0132] Based on this, the drive mechanism includes two different specific configurations: wheel drive and drum drive. Correspondingly, the steering mechanism includes different forms such as wheel type and drum type, so that the transport mechanism 4 can run continuously along the closed track of the carrying track 1. At the same time, based on the different forms of the drive mechanism and steering mechanism, the structure of the transport mechanism 4 also includes different forms, which enable the transport mechanism 4 to flip and change direction in the corresponding specific form and pass through the steering part.

[0133] To facilitate the explanation of the orbital gravity flow energy storage system in this application, the two different orbital gravity flow energy storage systems will be described separately in the form of two embodiments.

[0134] Example 1

[0135] Referring to Figures 1-4, the track-type gravity flow energy storage system in this embodiment is specifically a dual-track gravity flow energy storage system. The drive mechanism includes a dual-wheel drive mechanism, which includes two parallel drive wheels 3 and a horizontal transmission shaft 31. The two drive wheels 3 are vertically connected to the horizontal transmission shaft 31 and are arranged in a mirror-symmetrical manner.

[0136] Two parallel, vertically mounted drive wheels 3 are arranged in a mirror-symmetrical manner, with axial spacing relative to the horizontal drive shaft 31. The space between the two drive wheels 3 constitutes the traction movement space of the transport mechanism 4 and the turning and reversing space at the drive wheel 3.

[0137] This allows the traction rope 2 to be wound around, while also allowing the transport mechanism 4 to pass through the gap between the two drive wheels 3. At least a portion of the traction rope 2 is wound around the drive wheel 3. Combined with the friction between the traction rope 2 and the drive wheel 3, the drive wheel 3 drives the traction rope 2 to move stably and continuously during rotation, ensuring the reliable and stable flow of continuous gravity and energy.

[0138] The vertically mounted drive wheel 3, compared to the traditional horizontal wheel type, can reduce the footprint, overcome the limitations of terrain slope, and has simpler terrain requirements. It is easy to install on more sloping sections and can be deployed in a variety of terrains, making it particularly suitable for complex geological environments such as mountains and hills.

[0139] Based on this, it is possible to form a driving traction surface that cooperates with the traction rope 2, ensuring that the traction rope 2 moves continuously on the shaped surrounding surface.

[0140] In one embodiment, the electric power generation mechanism 6 includes an electric generator that has both driving and discharging functions.

[0141] Based on the engagement angle between the drive wheel 3 and the two drive traction surfaces, the drive wheel 3 includes a first active drive wheel 3a and a second active drive wheel 3b, which are connected by a horizontal transmission shaft 31. The two drive wheels 3 rotate synchronously, and the horizontal transmission shaft 31 performs transmission.

[0142] By connecting the output shaft of the electric generator to one end of the horizontal transmission shaft 31 via a coupling, the drive wheel 3 can be driven to rotate actively during the energy storage stage, while the energy storage block 5 located at the bottom of the energy storage system is lifted by the transport mechanism 4 to form a continuous gravity flow.

[0143] Simultaneously, during the discharge phase, the continuously descending energy storage block 5 drives the drive wheel 3 to rotate passively, so that the lifted energy storage block 5, during its descent, converts the gravitational energy stored in the form of potential energy into electrical energy generated by the electric power generation mechanism 6, forming a continuous energy flow.

[0144] In another specific implementation, the two drive wheels 3 can also be driven independently, and the two drive wheels 3 are arranged in a mirror symmetrical manner. The electric power generation mechanism 6 includes a generator and a motor. The generator and the motor each include an output shaft. The output shaft and the horizontal transmission shaft 31 on which the drive wheels 3 are independently mounted are connected by couplings, which can also achieve the above-mentioned technical effects.

[0145] This application does not limit the specific form of the electric generator mechanism 6. When the drive wheel 3 is independently controlled, one drive wheel 3 is connected to the electric motor and the other drive wheel 3 is connected to the generator. By controlling the different drive wheels 3 and the electric motor or generator during the energy storage and discharge stages, the electric motor and the generator can perform different functions on the premise that the two drive wheels 3 are kept in a transmission connection.

[0146] From the perspective of constructing the driving traction surface as described above, the two traction ropes 2 are respectively wrapped around the corresponding driving wheels 3. They are used to drive the driving wheels 3 to run the traction ropes 2 through the friction between the traction ropes 2 and the driving wheels 3, or to drive the driving wheels 3 to run the traction ropes 2, so as to realize the traction operation in the energy storage and discharge stages.

[0147] The dual-wheel drive mechanism is installed through a drive mounting mechanism, which includes a drive support 7 erected opposite each other and an energy storage device mounting base. The horizontal drive shaft 31 and the drive wheel 3 are installed between the drive support 7, and the electric generator is installed on the energy storage device mounting base (not shown in the figure).

[0148] Similarly, when setting up motors and generators separately, separate motor mounting brackets and generator mounting brackets can be set up to ensure the effective installation of different functional devices.

[0149] In this embodiment, to facilitate the turning and reversing of the carrying mechanism 4 at the turning points of the carrying track 1 and the traction rope 2, preferably, to maintain the stability and integrity of the running carrying surface and the driving traction surface, the turning mechanism also includes two parallel, vertically mounted steering wheels 32. The steering wheels 32 have the same structure as the driving wheels 3, and the wheel surfaces of the steering wheels 32 and the driving wheels 3 are located on the same plane. Preferably, the wheel surfaces of the steering wheels 32 and the driving wheels 3 are located on the same vertical plane. Each carrying track 1 and each traction rope 2 corresponds to a set of driving wheels 3 and steering wheels 32, and the driving traction surface is formed between a set of driving wheels 3 and steering wheels 32.

[0150] From the perspective of connection and installation, the two steering wheels 32 have the same connection and installation structure as the drive wheel 3. They are installed through the set steering support and coaxially connected through the necessary connecting shaft to ensure that the two steering wheels 32 maintain a relatively synchronous rotation relationship.

[0151] Each traction rope 2 is enclosed and looped between the corresponding drive wheel 3 and steering wheel 32, forming the drive traction surface corresponding to each traction rope 2.

[0152] In order to ensure a stable and reliable fit between the traction rope 2 and the drive wheel 3 and the steering wheel 32, the drive wheel 3 and the steering wheel 32 are respectively provided with wheel grooves 33. Preferably, the wheel grooves 33 are provided at the same position on the drive wheel 3 and the steering wheel 32 and are corresponding vertically.

[0153] The traction rope 2 is pressed and wrapped in the wheel groove 33, which specifically serves as a limiting fit to keep the plane of the traction rope 2 parallel to the plane of the bearing track 1.

[0154] During operation, the traction rope 2 moves around under the action of friction when it is pressed against the drive wheel 3 and the steering wheel 32. In order to enhance the friction, ensure synchronous operation and prevent slippage, necessary anti-slip structures are provided in the wheel groove 33 to ensure the continuous and stable circling movement of the traction rope 2.

[0155] Meanwhile, in order to ensure the tension of the traction rope 2, a tensioning mechanism is provided on the rear side of the steering wheel 32, which is a screw type as shown in the figure, to maintain the tension of the traction rope 2 and ensure its stable and reliable operation.

[0156] In this invention, the energy storage block 5 is lifted and transported by the continuous traction operation of the transport mechanism 4. Based on this basic form of energy storage and discharge, the transport mechanism 4 includes a transport frame 41 located on both sides and corresponding to the bearing track 1. The transport frame 41 can run continuously along the bearing track 1.

[0157] Meanwhile, in order to ensure that the two sides of the transport vehicle frame 41 move up and down synchronously along the extension direction of the bearing rail 1, a connecting beam 42 is connected between the transport vehicle frames 41, which connects the two sides of the transport vehicle frame 41 into an integral structure. Each transport vehicle frame 41 on the bearing rail 1 is equipped with a wheel 43. The wheel 43 can run along the bearing rail 1. Specifically, the wheel 43 and the bearing rail 1 have a certain limiting fit relationship in structure. Through the linear contact friction between the wheel 43 and the bearing rail 1, it moves dynamically under the drive of the traction rope 2. Combined with the linear contact friction, the wheel 43 is converted to running relative to the bearing rail 1 during the operation.

[0158] Based on the closed-loop structure of the carrying track 1, the transport vehicle frame 41 runs around the carrying track 1 in a closed loop under the traction of the traction rope 2, especially at the top drive wheel 3 and the bottom steering wheel 32, which are flipped to complete a relatively continuous sliding movement.

[0159] Based on the passage space for the transport mechanism 4 formed by the spaced arrangement of two drive wheels 3 and two steering wheels 32, the energy storage block 5 in this embodiment is specifically installed by being suspended on the transport mechanism 4.

[0160] Specifically, the connecting beam 42 is equipped with spaced-apart lifting cantilever arms 44 for hoisting the energy storage blocks 5, which distribute the load evenly. Furthermore, both ends of the connecting beam 42 are connected to the transport frame 41, allowing the load to be transferred to the bearing rail 1 via the connecting beam 42 and the transport frame 41. Preferably, the connecting beam 42 is provided with a limiting part to restrict the installation of the lifting cantilever arms 44, preventing lateral displacement of the lifting cantilever arms 44 when suspending the energy storage blocks 5.

[0161] Furthermore, based on the specific structure of the transport frame 41 in this embodiment, and the suspended transport of the energy storage block 5 on the lifting cantilever 44, the energy storage block 5 in this embodiment is detachably connected to the bottom of the lifting cantilever 44. Through this arrangement, the loading efficiency of the energy storage block 5 on the transport mechanism 4 is ensured.

[0162] To address the need for the transport frame 41 to flip and change direction in the space between the drive wheel 3 and the steering wheel 32, it is necessary to maintain the flipability of the lifting cantilever 44 on the connecting crossbeam 42.

[0163] Based on this, the lifting cantilever 44 is rotatably connected to the connecting beam 42. In this configuration, the connecting beam 42 passes through the through-ring at the root of the lifting cantilever 44 and the through-ring is installed at the position of the limiting part of the connecting beam 42, so that the transport vehicle frame 41 maintains the hanging state of the lifting cantilever 44 when it is flipped and reversed.

[0164] Alternatively, the connecting beam 42 can be rotatably connected to the transport frame 41. In this configuration, a bearing can be installed at the root of the connecting beam 42 to maintain the original posture of the lifting cantilever 44 and the connecting beam 42 as a whole when the transport frame 41 is overturned or reversed.

[0165] Based on the different stages of energy storage and discharge, in order to facilitate the lifting and lowering of the energy storage block 5, transfer equipment is set up in both the top and bottom storage yards. The energy storage block 5 is moved back and forth between the storage yard and the carrying track 1 by the transfer equipment.

[0166] Example 2

[0167] Referring to Figures 5-8, the track-type gravity flow energy storage system in this embodiment is specifically a drum-driven track-type gravity flow energy storage system. The driving mechanism includes a drum driving mechanism, which includes a horizontally mounted driving drum 30 and a horizontally mounted drum drive shaft 301.

[0168] The drive drum 30 is used to allow the traction rope 2 to be wound around it, and also to allow the transport mechanism 4 to steer through the periphery of the drive drum 30. At least a portion of the traction rope 2 is wound around the drive drum 30, and the friction between the traction rope 2 and the drive drum 30 enables the drive drum 30 to drive the traction rope 2 to move stably and continuously during rotation, ensuring the reliable and stable flow of continuous gravity and energy.

[0169] The horizontally mounted drive drum 30, compared to the traditional horizontal wheel type, can also reduce the footprint, overcome the limitations of terrain slope, and achieve the same technical advantages as the vertically mounted drive wheel 3.

[0170] By wrapping the traction rope 2 around the drive drum 30, it is also possible to form a drive traction surface that cooperates with the traction rope 2, ensuring that the traction rope 2 moves continuously on the shaped wrapping surface.

[0171] In one embodiment, the electric power generation mechanism 6 includes an electric generator that has both driving and discharging functions. By connecting the output shaft of the electric generator to one end of the drum drive shaft 301 through a coupling, the drive function can drive the drive drum 30 to rotate actively during the energy storage stage. At the same time, the energy storage block 5 located at the bottom of the energy storage system is lifted by the transport mechanism 4 to form a continuous gravity flow.

[0172] Simultaneously, during the discharge phase, the continuously descending energy storage block 5 drives the drive drum 30 to rotate passively, so that the lifted energy storage block 5, during its descent, converts the gravitational energy in the form of potential energy into electrical energy generated by the electric power generation mechanism 6, forming a continuous energy flow.

[0173] In another specific implementation, since the drive drum 30 is a whole drive structure and cannot be controlled independently, the electric power generation mechanism 6 includes a generator and a motor. The generator and the motor each include an output shaft. By connecting the output shafts of the generator and the motor to the two ends of the drum drive shaft 301 through couplings, the motor and the generator can perform different functions by controlling the engagement and disengagement of the drum drive shaft 301 with the motor or the generator during the energy storage and discharging stages.

[0174] From the perspective of constructing the driving traction surface as described above, the two traction ropes 2 are respectively wrapped around the annular drum wall of the driving drum 30. They are used to drive the driving drum 30 to run the traction ropes 2 through the friction between the traction ropes 2 and the driving drum 30, or to drive the driving drum 30 to run the traction ropes 2, so as to realize the traction operation in the energy storage and discharge stages.

[0175] The drum drive mechanism is installed through a drive mounting mechanism, which includes a drive support 7 erected opposite each other and an energy storage device mounting base. The drum drive shaft 301 and the drive drum 30 are installed between the drive support 7, and the electric generator is installed on the energy storage device mounting base (not shown in the figure).

[0176] The reversing mechanism in this embodiment includes a laterally mounted steering drum 302. The steering drum 302 has the same structure as the drive drum 30, and the two end faces of the steering drum 302 and the two end faces of the drive drum 30 are respectively set on the same plane. By combining the traction rope 2 with the same part of the steering drum 302 and the drive drum 30, it is possible to form corresponding drive traction surfaces on the two traction ropes 2.

[0177] The steering drum 302 and the drive drum 30 have the same connection and installation structure, and are installed through the steering support.

[0178] Each traction rope 2 is enclosed and looped between the corresponding drive drum 30 and steering drum 302, forming the drive traction surface corresponding to each traction rope 2.

[0179] In order to maintain a stable and reliable engagement of the traction rope 2 on the drive drum 30 and the steering drum 302, friction pads 304 are respectively provided on the drum surfaces of the drive drum 30 and the steering drum 302. Preferably, the friction pads 304 are provided at the same locations on the drive drum 30 and the steering drum 302 and are vertically corresponding.

[0180] In order to allow two traction ropes 2 to be wound around the same drive drum 30 and steering drum 302, friction pads 304 are spaced apart to allow the traction ropes 2 to be pressed and wound around the friction pads 304. The friction pads 304 specifically play a limiting and matching role. A rope groove 303 is provided on the friction pad 304. The traction ropes 2 are pressed and wound around the rope grooves 303, which can prevent the traction ropes 2 from coming out of the pressing and restraining in the rope grooves 303 and keep the plane of the traction ropes 2 parallel to the arrangement plane of the bearing track 1.

[0181] Meanwhile, the friction pad 304 is also provided with a fixing device that can fix it to the drive drum 30 and the steering drum 302, so as to ensure that the friction pad 304 is stably fixedly connected to the drive drum 30 and the steering drum 302.

[0182] During operation, the traction rope 2 moves in a circular motion under the action of friction while pressed against the drive drum 30 and the steering drum 302. To enhance friction, ensure synchronized operation, and prevent slippage, the friction pad 304 reliably ensures the continuous and stable circular movement of the traction rope 2. The tensioning mechanism of the traction rope 2 is the same as that in Embodiment 1 and will not be described again.

[0183] Based on the drive drum 30 and steering drum 302 structures in this embodiment, the transport mechanism 4 includes transporting the energy storage block 5 in a backpack-like and inverted manner.

[0184] Specifically, the transport mechanism 4 includes a load frame 46 spanning the load-bearing track 1, which can run continuously along the load-bearing track 1.

[0185] The load frame 46 is provided with a connecting rod 47 for mounting the energy storage block 5. By detachably connecting the energy storage block 5 to the connecting rod 47, the load frame 46 can carry and hang the energy storage block 5 upside down during operation.

[0186] Wheels 43 are installed on both sides of the load frame 46 at the corresponding positions of each load rail 1. The wheels 43 can run along the load rail 1. Specifically, the wheels 43 and the load rail 1 have a certain limiting fit relationship in structure. Through the linear contact friction between the wheels 43 and the load rail 1, they can run dynamically under the drive of the traction rope 2. Combined with the linear contact friction, the wheels 43 are converted to running relative to the load rail 1 during the running process.

[0187] Based on the closed-loop structure of the load-bearing track 1, the load frame 46 runs in a closed loop around the load-bearing track 1 under the traction of the traction rope 2. In particular, the drive drum 30 at the top and the steering drum 302 at the bottom flip and change direction to complete a relatively continuous sliding and rolling movement.

[0188] The track-type gravity flow energy storage system in this application can construct a continuous steady-state gravity flow and energy flow, ensuring high-efficiency operation of energy storage and power generation while improving carrying capacity, thus realizing high-power energy storage / discharge.

[0189] The present invention also provides an orbital gravity flow energy storage method, which is carried out through the orbital gravity flow energy storage system described in the foregoing embodiments, specifically including an energy storage stage and a discharge stage.

[0190] The operation includes an energy storage phase and a discharge phase.

[0191] During the energy storage phase, the energy storage blocks 5, located in the bottom storage yard of the energy storage system, are continuously transported upwards via a track-type gravity flow energy storage system, forming a continuous gravity flow through the lifting of the energy storage blocks 5. During the energy storage process, the electric generator 6 converts electrical energy into kinetic energy, which is smoothly transferred to the drive wheel 3, driving it to rotate clockwise.

[0192] The drive wheel 3, through the friction between its surface and the traction rope 2, causes the traction rope 2 to begin to rotate. At the same time, in conjunction with the cooperation of the traction rope 2 and the steering wheel 32, the steering wheel 32 is caused to rotate clockwise.

[0193] As the traction rope 2 continues to move, the transport mechanism 4 clamped to it is pulled and rolled along the preset carrying track 1. The transport mechanism 4 is equipped with a lifting cantilever 44 or connecting rod 47 to lift or carry the energy storage block 5 located in the bottom storage yard, allowing it to move with the transport mechanism 4. Upon approaching the top storage yard, the energy storage block 5 detaches from the lifting cantilever 44 or connecting rod 47 on the transport trolley, and is sent into the top storage yard, where it is quickly transported away for storage by transfer equipment. The transport mechanism 4 then enters a curved track. Subsequently, the transport mechanism 4 continues to travel along the circular track, eventually returning to the horizontal track, ready to begin a new round of energy storage block 5 transport tasks.

[0194] During the discharge phase, the energy storage block 5, located in the top storage yard of the energy storage system, is continuously transported from top to bottom via a track-type gravity flow energy storage system, forming a continuous energy flow through the descent of the energy storage block 5. During the discharge process, the energy storage block 5 located in the top storage yard is transferred to the carrying track 1 by a transfer device.

[0195] The energy storage block 5 is fixed by the lifting cantilever 44 or connecting rod 47 on the transport mechanism 4. Then, under the action of gravity, the energy storage block 5, together with the transport mechanism 4, slides down along the bearing track 1, releasing the energy it contains. The transport mechanism 4, through its clamping connection with the traction rope 2, drives the traction rope 2 to start moving.

[0196] The traction rope 2 transmits motion to the drive wheel 3 and the reversing wheel through friction with the wheel groove 33, causing them to rotate counterclockwise. The rotation of the drive wheel 3 is then transmitted to the electric generator mechanism 6. The electric generator mechanism 6 enters the power generation mode, converting kinetic energy into electrical energy and inputting it into the power grid.

[0197] As it approaches the bottom storage yard, the energy storage block 5 detaches from the lifting cantilever 44 or connecting rod 47 on the transport mechanism 4. The energy storage block 5 is then transported into the bottom storage yard and moved away by transfer equipment for storage. Meanwhile, the transport mechanism 4 continues to slide along the carrying track 1. Finally, the transport mechanism 4 returns to the horizontal track, ready to begin a new round of energy storage block 5 transport.

[0198] The transport mechanism 4 is equidistantly connected to the traction rope 2, providing a balanced and continuous flow of gravity. Simultaneously, the energy storage blocks can be positioned corresponding to or spaced apart from the transport mechanism 4. The transport mechanism 4's speed is adjustable in sync with the traction rope 2, thus allowing for adjustable gravity flow. This enables on-demand adjustment of energy flow, achieving "slow charging and fast discharging" or "on-demand charging and discharging" functions.

[0199] Meanwhile, the track-mounted gravity flow energy storage system can also be designed and manufactured in an economical and reliable modular manner, and can be arranged in parallel multiple units and / or stacked vertically according to the hillside terrain to achieve larger-scale energy storage.

[0200] The energy storage system and method of this invention will be described using a specific example. When generating electricity, the energy storage block 5 is mainly made of reinforced concrete with a density of 2,500 kg / m³. 3 It is a cuboid with a length of 1.5 meters, a width of 1.5 meters, and a height of 1.0 meter, and weighs 5.625 tons.

[0201] Assuming a vertical drop of 500 meters on the hillside, lifting a single energy storage block 5 from the bottom to the top of the hill would store energy E = mgh = 5.625 x 10⁻⁶. 3 kg x 9.8 m / s 2 X500 m=27,562,500J≈7.66kWh.

[0202] Referring to the operating speeds of passenger ropeways, freight ropeways, and mine hoists, if the speed is 8 meters per second, the travel distance is 28.8 kilometers per hour. Assuming that the energy storage blocks 5 are arranged at 10-meter intervals, 2880 energy storage blocks 5 can be transported to the mountaintop per hour, storing approximately 22.0 MWh of energy per hour (2880 blocks x 7.66 kWh / block = 22050.0 kW·h ≈ 22.0 MWh).

[0203] To improve power generation capacity, multiple energy storage systems can be arranged in parallel rows and / or stacked vertically on hillside terrain. Alternatively, the speed of the traction rope 2 can be increased or the spacing between the energy storage blocks 5 can be reduced to expand the energy storage capacity.

[0204] It should be noted that, where there is no conflict, the features in the embodiments of this application can be combined with each other.

[0205] The above description is merely a preferred embodiment of this application and is not intended to limit this application. Various modifications and variations can be made to this application by those skilled in the art. Any modifications, equivalent substitutions, improvements, etc., made within the spirit and principles of this application should be included within the protection scope of this application.
