[0001] Cross-reference to related applications
[0002] This application is based on and claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 202510479636.7, filed on April 16, 2025, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field
[0003] This invention relates to the field of battery technology, and in particular to a battery cell, a battery device, and an electrical device. Background Technology
[0004] Currently, batteries are being used more and more widely. They are not only used in energy storage power systems such as hydropower, thermal power, wind power, and solar power plants, but also widely used in electric vehicles such as electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, and electric cars, as well as in aerospace and many other fields.
[0005] In related technologies, the terminals of a battery cell are mounted on the battery casing using an mounting structure, and the assembly of the terminals is sealed using a sealing structure. However, due to limitations in the terminal mounting structure, the sealing effect of the sealing structure in these battery cells is relatively poor. Therefore, improving the sealing effect of the terminal assembly is a technical problem that needs to be solved. Summary of the Invention
[0006] In view of the above problems, the present invention provides a battery cell, a battery device, and an electrical device, wherein the battery cell has a better sealing effect when the terminal post assembly is assembled.
[0007] In a first aspect, the present invention provides a battery cell, comprising: a housing component including a first housing wall having a mounting hole thereon; an electrode assembly housed within the housing component; and a terminal post component mounted at the mounting hole and including a terminal post body, an adapter ring, and an insulating and sealing structure, wherein the terminal post body is connected to the electrode assembly, the adapter ring surrounds the terminal post body and is connected to the first housing wall, the terminal post body is riveted to the adapter ring, and the insulating and sealing structure is insulating and sealingly fitted between the adapter ring and the terminal post body.
[0008] In the above technical solution, by setting the pole component to include a pole body, an adapter ring, and an insulating sealing structure, and by having the adapter ring surround the pole body and connect the adapter ring to the first housing wall, it is convenient to install and fix the pole body to the first housing wall. By making the insulating sealing structure insulating and sealingly fitted between the adapter ring and the pole body, the insulating sealing structure can seal the assembly gap between the adapter ring and the pole body, and the insulating sealing structure can insulate and isolate the pole and the adapter ring, thereby achieving insulation isolation between the pole and the first housing wall.
[0009] Furthermore, the adapter ring and the pole body together compress the insulation and sealing structure. By riveting the pole body and the adapter ring together, the riveting pressure between the pole body and the adapter ring can be used to enhance the compression force on the insulation and sealing structure. This results in higher compression strength and better compression effect of the adapter ring and the pole body on the insulation and sealing structure, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect of the insulation and sealing structure.
[0010] In some embodiments, the insulating sealing structure includes a seal that is clamped between the pole body and the adapter ring.
[0011] In the above technical solution, by clamping the seal between the pole body and the adapter ring, and utilizing the riveting pressure between the pole body and the adapter ring, the clamping force and compression force on the seal are enhanced. This results in higher compression strength and better compression effect of the adapter ring and the pole body on the seal, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect of the seal.
[0012] In some embodiments, the seal is fixed to the pole body.
[0013] In the above technical solution, by connecting and fixing the seal to the pole body, when riveting the pole body and the adapter ring, the seal can be connected and fixed to the pole body first, and then the pole body with the seal and the adapter ring can be riveted together. During the riveting process between the pole body and the adapter ring, the riveting pressure between the pole body and the adapter ring can be used to achieve better compression of the seal, improve the sealing effect of the seal, and facilitate the installation of the pole body, the seal and the adapter ring.
[0014] In some embodiments, the seal includes a first sealing portion located on the axial side of the adapter ring and clamped between the adapter ring and the pole body.
[0015] In the above technical solution, by setting the seal to include a first sealing part located on the axial side of the adapter ring, and clamping the first sealing part between the adapter ring and the electrode body, the clamping force of the adapter ring and the electrode body on the first sealing part along the axial direction of the electrode body provides a strong compressive force on the first sealing part, which is beneficial to improve the sealing effect of the seal and more effectively prevent external water or dust from entering the battery cell.
[0016] In some embodiments, the first sealing portion is located on the side of the adapter ring facing the electrode assembly.
[0017] In the above technical solution, by positioning the first sealing part on the side of the adapter ring facing the electrode assembly, the adapter ring can press the first sealing part against the electrode assembly with the clamping force during the installation and clamping of the electrode body. The adapter ring has a more sufficient compressive force on the first sealing part, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect.
[0018] In some embodiments, a pressing protrusion is formed on one axial side of the adapter ring, and a pressing groove is provided on the first sealing portion, wherein the pressing protrusion is accommodated in the pressing groove.
[0019] In the above technical solution, by forming a pressing protrusion on one side of the adapter ring and a pressing groove on the first sealing part, and by having the pressing protrusion accommodated in the pressing groove, the contact area between the adapter ring and the first sealing part can be increased, thereby enhancing the compression and pressing effect of the adapter ring on the first sealing part, which is conducive to improving the sealing effect of the first sealing part, and thus improving the sealing effect of the sealing element; and, the installation and positioning of the sealing element can be facilitated by the cooperation of the pressing protrusion with the pressing groove.
[0020] In some embodiments, the seal further includes a second sealing portion connected to the first sealing portion, the second sealing portion being located between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring and the outer circumferential side of the pole body.
[0021] In the above technical solution, by setting the seal to include a second sealing part located between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring and the outer circumferential side of the electrode body, the second sealing part can more fully seal the assembly gap between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring and the outer circumferential side of the electrode body, and more fully prevent water or dust in the air from entering the battery cell through the gap between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring and the outer circumferential side of the electrode body. Furthermore, by connecting the second sealing part with the first sealing part, axial sealing is achieved through the first sealing part, and radial sealing is achieved through the second sealing part. This increases the sealing area, improves the sealing effect, and enhances the sealing performance of the seal.
[0022] In some embodiments, the electrode body includes a first electrode portion, an adapter ring surrounds the first electrode portion, the first electrode portion is riveted to the adapter ring, a seal is clamped between the first electrode portion and the adapter ring, and the first electrode portion is connected to the electrode assembly.
[0023] In the above technical solution, by making the pole body include a first pole portion, and by clamping the seal between the first pole portion and the adapter ring, the clamping force and compression force on the seal are enhanced by the riveting pressure between the first pole portion and the adapter ring. This makes the compression strength of the adapter ring and the first pole portion on the seal higher and the compression effect better, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect of the seal.
[0024] In some embodiments, the first electrode post includes a first column segment and a second column segment disposed along the axial direction of the first electrode post, the adapter ring surrounds the outer periphery of the first column segment, the second column segment is located on the side of the adapter ring closer to the electrode assembly, the second column segment is connected to the electrode assembly, and in the radially outward direction of the first electrode post, the portion of the second column segment protruding from the first column segment is a limiting portion, the seal includes a first sealing portion, and in the axial direction of the adapter ring, the first sealing portion is sandwiched between the limiting portion and the adapter ring.
[0025] In the above technical solution, by configuring the first electrode post to include a first column segment and a second column segment, and placing the second column segment on the side of the adapter ring closer to the electrode assembly, and connecting the electrode assembly to the second column segment with a larger radial dimension, the connection area between the electrode post body and the electrode assembly can be increased, reducing the risk of breakage of the connection between the electrode post body and the electrode assembly. By including a limiting part protruding from the first column segment in the second column segment, the limiting part can limit the electrode post body in the axial direction of the electrode post body, preventing the electrode post body from moving away from the electrode assembly along the axial direction of the electrode post body and causing it to fall off. By including a first sealing part in the sealing member, and clamping the first sealing part between the limiting part and the adapter ring, the limiting part and the adapter ring together exert a compressive force on the first sealing part in the axial direction of the electrode post body, which helps to improve the sealing effect of the sealing member between the limiting part and the adapter ring, and more effectively prevents water or dust from entering the battery cell through the gap between the limiting part and the adapter ring.
[0026] In some embodiments, in the axial direction of the adapter ring, the thickness of the limiting portion is greater than the thickness of the adapter ring.
[0027] In the above technical solution, by making the thickness of the limiting part greater than the thickness of the adapter ring, the limiting part can be thicker, giving it higher structural strength and rigidity. This allows the limiting part to provide more support and compressive force to the sealing element, further improving the sealing effect.
[0028] In some embodiments, in the radial direction of the adapter ring, the width of the limiting portion is smaller than the width of the adapter ring.
[0029] In the above technical solution, by making the width of the limiting part smaller than the width of the transition ring in the radial direction, the width of the limiting part can be smaller, resulting in a shorter cantilever of the seal. This reduces the heat impact of welding during the welding connection process between the transition ring and the first shell wall, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect.
[0030] In some embodiments, the seal further includes a second sealing portion connected to the first sealing portion, the second sealing portion being located between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring and the outer circumferential side of the first column segment.
[0031] In the above technical solution, by setting the seal to include a second sealing part located between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring and the outer circumferential side of the first column segment, the second sealing part can more fully seal the assembly gap between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring and the outer circumferential side of the first column segment, and more fully prevent water or dust in the air from entering the battery cell through the gap between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring and the outer circumferential side of the first column segment. Furthermore, by connecting the second sealing part with the first sealing part, axial sealing is achieved through the first sealing part, and radial sealing is achieved through the second sealing part. This increases the sealing area, improves the sealing effect, and enhances the sealing performance of the seal.
[0032] In some embodiments, the first pole piece is an integrally formed part.
[0033] In the above technical solution, by making the first pole piece an integrally formed part, the number of pole body parts can be reduced, which is beneficial to reducing the assembly process of the pole body and improving assembly efficiency.
[0034] In some embodiments, the seal is fixed to the first pole post.
[0035] In the above technical solution, by connecting and fixing the seal to the first pole post, when riveting the first pole post to the adapter ring, the seal can be connected and fixed to the first pole post first, and then the first pole post with the seal can be riveted to the adapter ring. During the riveting process between the first pole post and the adapter ring, the riveting pressure between the first pole post and the adapter ring can be used to achieve better compression of the seal, improve the sealing effect of the seal, and facilitate the installation of the first pole post, the seal, and the adapter ring.
[0036] In some embodiments, the electrode body includes a second electrode portion, which is connected to the first electrode portion and located on the side of the adapter ring away from the electrode assembly. Both the second electrode portion and the first electrode portion are independently molded parts.
[0037] In the above technical solution, by setting the electrode body to include a first electrode portion and a second electrode portion that are separately formed, and making the second electrode portion located on the side of the adapter ring away from the electrode assembly, when assembling the electrode body and the adapter ring, the first electrode portion can be riveted to the adapter ring first, and then the second electrode portion can be connected to the end of the first electrode portion away from the electrode assembly. This facilitates the assembly of the electrode body and the adapter ring, and the second electrode portion can axially limit the installation of the electrode body and the adapter ring, preventing the electrode body from moving towards the side closer to the electrode assembly. Furthermore, since the second electrode portion is located on the side of the adapter ring away from the electrode assembly, the second electrode portion can enhance the compression effect of the adapter ring on the seal, further improving the sealing effect of the seal.
[0038] In some embodiments, the second pole portion is an integrally formed part.
[0039] In the above technical solution, by making the second pole part an integrally formed part, the number of pole body parts can be reduced, which is beneficial to reducing the assembly process of the pole body and improving assembly efficiency.
[0040] In some embodiments, the second electrode post is provided with a connection hole, and the end of the first electrode post facing away from the electrode assembly passes through the connection hole.
[0041] In the above technical solution, by providing a connecting hole on the second electrode post and having the end of the first electrode post facing away from the electrode assembly pass through the connecting hole, the connecting hole can limit the first electrode post, reduce the radial displacement of the first electrode post along the electrode post body, reduce the risk of the first electrode post and the second electrode post separating and causing a circuit break, and make the connection between the first electrode post and the second electrode post more secure.
[0042] In some embodiments, the end of the first pole portion that is away from the electrode assembly does not protrude from the second pole portion in the axial direction of the adapter ring and away from the electrode assembly.
[0043] In the above technical solution, by ensuring that the end of the first electrode post does not protrude from the second electrode post, the overall length of the battery cell caused by the first electrode post protruding from the second electrode post can be avoided. This helps to reduce the space occupied by the battery cell, thereby improving the energy density of the battery device formed by assembling multiple battery cells.
[0044] In some embodiments, the first pole portion is riveted to the connecting hole.
[0045] In the above technical solution, by riveting the first pole part to the connecting hole, a stable connection between the first pole part and the second pole part can be achieved, and the first pole part and the second pole part can be in close contact, which helps to reduce the interface resistance at the connection interface between the first pole part and the second pole part.
[0046] In some embodiments, a limiting protrusion is formed on the inner peripheral wall of the connecting hole, and a limiting groove is formed on the outer peripheral wall of the first pole post, wherein the limiting protrusion is accommodated in the limiting groove.
[0047] In the above technical solution, by forming a limiting protrusion on the inner peripheral wall of the connecting hole and a limiting groove on the outer peripheral wall of the first pole post, and by having the limiting protrusion accommodated in the limiting groove, the limiting protrusion can limit the limiting groove, thereby reducing the displacement of the first pole post relative to the second pole post along the axial direction of the first pole post, and reducing the risk of the first pole post and the second pole post becoming disconnected and causing a circuit break.
[0048] In some embodiments, a pole weld is provided between the first pole portion and the second pole portion, and the pole weld surrounds the first pole portion.
[0049] In the above technical solution, by connecting the first pole post and the second pole post with a pole post weld, the connection between the first pole post and the second pole post can be stabilized, reducing the risk of the first pole post and the second pole post becoming disconnected and causing an open circuit; by making the pole post weld surround the first pole post, the outer periphery of the first pole post can be connected to the second pole post through the pole post weld, making the connection between the first pole post and the second pole post more stable and reliable.
[0050] In some embodiments, the electrode weld is located at the end of the second electrode portion away from the adapter ring.
[0051] In the above technical solution, by placing the electrode weld at the end of the second electrode part away from the transition ring, the influence of the heat generated during electrode welding on the transition ring can be reduced, and the impact of deformation of the transition ring caused by heat on the sealing effect can be reduced.
[0052] In some embodiments, the second pole portion is a metal composite component, the second pole portion includes a second pole portion body and an auxiliary connecting portion, the second pole portion body is made of a different material than the first pole portion, and the auxiliary connecting portion is made of the same material as the first pole portion.
[0053] In the above technical solution, since the main bodies of the first pole post and the second pole post are made of different materials, it may be difficult and the welding quality may be poor when the first pole post and the second pole post are directly welded together. By making the second pole post include the main body of the second pole post and the auxiliary connecting part, and making the auxiliary connecting part the same material as the first pole post, the first pole post and the auxiliary connecting part can be welded together, reducing the welding difficulty and making the welding quality easier to control.
[0054] In some embodiments, the second pole post body has a receiving notch on the side opposite to the adapter ring, the receiving notch penetrating the inner peripheral wall of the connection hole, and the auxiliary connection portion is accommodated in the receiving notch.
[0055] In the above technical solution, by providing a receiving notch on the side of the second pole part away from the adapter ring, and by having the auxiliary connecting part accommodate the receiving notch, the auxiliary connecting part can be limited by the receiving notch, making the connection between the auxiliary connecting part and the main body of the second pole part more complete; by having the receiving notch penetrate through the inner peripheral wall of the connecting hole, the auxiliary connecting part can more easily come into direct contact with the first pole part, making it easier to weld the auxiliary connecting part to the first pole part.
[0056] In some embodiments, the insulating sealing structure includes an insulating element, at least a portion of which is located between the second pole portion and the adapter ring.
[0057] In the above technical solution, by setting the insulating sealing structure to include a sealing element and an insulating element, the sealing element can seal the assembly gap between the pole body and the adapter ring while also insulating the pole body and the adapter ring; by positioning at least a portion of the insulating element between the second pole portion and the adapter ring, the insulating element can isolate and insulate the second pole portion from the adapter ring.
[0058] In some embodiments, the first electrode post includes a first column segment and a second column segment disposed along the axial direction of the first electrode post, the adapter ring surrounds the outer periphery of the first column segment, one end of the first column segment is connected to the second electrode post, the other end of the first column segment is connected to the second column segment, the second column segment is located on the side of the adapter ring closer to the electrode assembly, the second column segment is connected to the electrode assembly, and in the radially outward direction of the first electrode post, the portion of the second column segment protruding from the first column segment is a limiting portion, the seal includes a first sealing portion, and in the axial direction of the adapter ring, the first sealing portion is located between the limiting portion and the adapter ring.
[0059] In the above technical solution, by configuring the first electrode post to include a first column segment and a second column segment, and placing the second column segment on the side of the adapter ring closer to the electrode assembly, and connecting the electrode assembly to the second column segment with a larger radial dimension, the connection area between the electrode post body and the electrode assembly can be increased, reducing the risk of breakage of the connection between the electrode post body and the electrode assembly. By including a limiting part protruding from the first column segment in the second column segment, the limiting part can limit the electrode post body in the axial direction of the electrode post body, preventing the electrode post body from moving away from the electrode assembly along the axial direction of the electrode post body and causing it to fall off. By including a first sealing part in the sealing member, and placing the first sealing part between the limiting part and the adapter ring, the limiting part and the adapter ring together exert a compressive force on the first sealing part in the axial direction of the electrode post body, which helps to improve the sealing effect of the sealing member between the limiting part and the adapter ring, and more effectively prevents water or dust from entering the battery cell through the gap between the limiting part and the adapter ring.
[0060] In some embodiments, in the width direction of the first shell wall, the width dimension of the second pole post is greater than the width dimension of the second column segment.
[0061] In the above technical solution, by making the width of the second pole post larger than the width of the second pole segment, the width of the second pole post can be made wider, increasing the area that the second pole post can connect with other components, and more effectively reducing the risk of the second pole post becoming disconnected when connected with other components.
[0062] In some embodiments, the insulating member includes an insulating body portion and an insulating extension portion, the insulating body portion being located between the second pole portion and the adapter ring, and the insulating extension portion being located between the outer peripheral side of the first pole segment and the inner peripheral side of the adapter ring.
[0063] In the above technical solution, by making the insulating member include an insulating main body and placing the insulating main body between the second pole portion and the transition ring, the insulating main body can isolate and insulate the second pole portion and the transition ring; by making the insulating member include an insulating extension and placing the insulating extension between the outer peripheral side of the first pole segment and the inner peripheral side of the transition ring, the insulating extension can isolate and insulate the transition ring and the first pole segment.
[0064] In some embodiments, the seal further includes a second sealing portion connected to the first sealing portion, the second sealing portion being located between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring and the outer circumferential side of the first column segment, and the insulating extension portion partially overlapping the second sealing portion in the radial direction of the adapter ring.
[0065] In the above technical solution, by partially overlapping the insulating extension and the second sealing part in the radial direction of the adapter ring, the sealing effect between the insulating extension and the second sealing part can be improved, reducing the entry of water and other substances into the battery cell through the space between the insulating extension and the second sealing part.
[0066] In some embodiments, the adapter ring is welded to the first shell wall.
[0067] In the above technical solution, by welding the adapter ring to the first shell wall, it is convenient to reliably connect and install the adapter ring to the first shell wall.
[0068] In some embodiments, the adapter ring is a one-piece molded part.
[0069] In the above technical solution, by setting the adapter ring as a one-piece molded part, the overall structural strength of the adapter ring is better. It also avoids the insufficient compressive force on the insulation and sealing structure caused by the welding deformation of the adapter ring, which is made of multiple parts. This reduces the impact of the welding thermal deformation of the adapter ring on the sealing effect of the insulation and sealing structure, resulting in higher compressive strength and better compression effect of the adapter ring and the electrode body on the insulation and sealing structure, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect of the insulation and sealing structure. In addition, setting the adapter ring as a one-piece molded part can reduce the number of welds and reduce the risk of interference between welds. For example, it can reduce or avoid the risk of interference between the welds of the adapter ring itself and the welds between the adapter ring and the first shell wall, which is beneficial to improving the assembly quality of the battery cell.
[0070] In some embodiments, the first shell wall is provided with two spaced-apart mounting holes, which are respectively used to install two pole post components with opposite polarities.
[0071] In the above technical solution, by providing two mounting holes on the first shell wall, and using these two mounting holes to install the two electrode components with opposite polarities respectively, both the positive and negative electrode components can be fixedly connected to the first shell wall. By spacing the two mounting holes apart, short circuits caused by contact between the positive and negative electrode components can be avoided. Furthermore, by mounting the electrode components with opposite polarities on the first shell wall, assembly of the two electrode components is convenient.
[0072] In some embodiments, the electrode assembly includes an electrode body and a tab structure connected to one side of the electrode body. The tab structure of the same polarity includes a plurality of tab portions, and each tab portion of the same polarity is connected to the electrode post body of the same polarity.
[0073] In the above technical solution, by including multiple tabs in the tab structure of the same polarity, the number of stacked tabs in a single tab can be reduced, and the thickness of a single tab can be thinner. This reduces the difficulty of bending a single tab and helps to reduce the space occupied by a single tab in the axial direction of the electrode body after bending, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the battery cell. Furthermore, if the tab structure of the same polarity is set as a single tab, the length of the tab needs to be increased in order to reduce the difficulty of bending the tab. However, a larger tab length will lead to short circuit problems caused by redundant insertion of the tab into the electrode body. Since the thickness of a single tab in this application is thinner, the length of a single tab can be set to be shorter, which can reduce the short circuit problem caused by redundant insertion of the tab.
[0074] In some embodiments, a plurality of the tabs are arranged along the length of the first shell wall.
[0075] In the above technical solution, by arranging multiple tabs along the length of the first shell wall, the space between the first shell wall and the electrode body along the length of the first shell wall can be fully utilized. The length direction of the first shell wall makes it easier to arrange multiple tabs than the width direction, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the battery cell.
[0076] In some embodiments, the portion of the pole body that passes through the adapter ring is a first pole segment, and at least a portion of the pole lug is offset from the first pole segment.
[0077] In the above technical solution, since the distance between the first column segment and the electrode body is relatively small, by setting at least part of the tabs to be staggered from the first column segment, the tabs can be arranged in a position with a larger space between the first shell wall and the electrode body, making full use of the space inside the first shell wall and the electrode body. In this way, it is not necessary to increase the space at the position of the first column segment in order to accommodate the tabs, which would cause the axial dimension of the battery cell to increase along the electrode body, thus improving the energy density of the battery cell.
[0078] In some embodiments, the tab structure of the same polarity includes two tab portions, which are located on opposite sides of the first column segment.
[0079] In the above technical solution, by including multiple tabs in the tab structure of the same polarity, the number of stacked tabs in a single tab can be reduced, and the thickness of a single tab can be thinner. By setting two tabs of the same polarity, the thickness of a single tab can be reduced, and the number of tabs of the same polarity can be reduced to facilitate installation and connection. Furthermore, by placing the two tabs of the same polarity on opposite sides of the first column, the tabs of the same polarity can make full use of the space between the first shell wall and the electrode body located on opposite sides of the first column, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the battery cell.
[0080] In some embodiments, the adapter ring is recessed in a direction away from the electrode assembly to form a clearance groove on the side of the adapter ring facing the electrode assembly, and at least a portion of the tab is accommodated within the clearance groove.
[0081] In the above technical solution, since the electrode body protrudes from the outer surface of the adapter ring, by making the adapter ring recessed in the direction away from the electrode assembly, a clearance groove is formed on the side of the adapter ring facing the electrode assembly. The space formed by the electrode body protruding from the outer surface of the adapter ring can be fully utilized, which can increase the space for accommodating the tab, accommodate a larger tab, or make the electrode body larger, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the battery cell.
[0082] In some embodiments, a clearance protrusion is formed on the side of the adapter ring opposite to the clearance groove, and the clearance protrusion does not protrude from the electrode post component along the axial direction of the adapter ring and in the direction opposite to the electrode assembly.
[0083] In the above technical solution, by ensuring that the avoidance bulge formed on the side of the adapter ring away from the avoidance groove does not protrude from the electrode post component, the space formed by the electrode post body protruding from the outer surface of the adapter ring can be fully utilized, while avoiding the occupation of extra space due to excessive protrusion of the avoidance bulge, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the electrode unit.
[0084] In some embodiments, the roots of a plurality of tabs of the same polarity are spaced apart or connected as one unit.
[0085] In the above technical solution, by spacing the roots of multiple tabs of the same polarity apart, the connection operation of a single tab can be made more convenient; by connecting the roots of multiple tabs of the same polarity into one, the integrity of the tab structure of the same polarity can be improved.
[0086] In some embodiments, the electrode assembly includes an electrode body and a tab structure connected to one side of the electrode body, wherein the portion of the electrode post body that passes through the adapter ring is a first post segment, and the tab structure is offset from the first post segment.
[0087] In the above technical solution, since the distance between the first column segment and the electrode body is relatively small, by setting at least part of the tabs to be staggered from the first column segment, the tabs can be arranged in a position with a larger space between the first shell wall and the electrode body, making full use of the space inside the first shell wall and the electrode body. In this way, it is not necessary to increase the space at the position of the first column segment in order to accommodate the tabs, which would cause the axial dimension of the battery cell to increase along the electrode body, thus improving the energy density of the battery cell.
[0088] In some embodiments, the adapter ring is recessed in a direction away from the electrode assembly to form a clearance groove on the side of the adapter ring facing the electrode assembly, and a portion of the tab structure is accommodated within the clearance groove.
[0089] In the above technical solution, since the electrode body protrudes from the outer surface of the adapter ring, by making the adapter ring recessed in the direction away from the electrode assembly, a clearance groove is formed on the side of the adapter ring facing the electrode assembly. The space formed by the electrode body protruding from the outer surface of the adapter ring can be fully utilized, which can increase the space for accommodating the tab, accommodate a larger tab, or make the electrode body larger, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the battery cell.
[0090] Secondly, this embodiment proposes a battery device, including: a housing; and a battery cell according to the first aspect of the present invention disposed in the housing.
[0091] In the above technical solution, by setting the battery cell, the overall structural strength of the adapter ring is better, and it is conducive to improving the sealing effect of the insulation and sealing structure; in addition, it can reduce the number of welds, which is conducive to improving the assembly quality of the battery cell.
[0092] Thirdly, this embodiment provides an electrical device, including a battery device according to a second aspect embodiment of the present invention.
[0093] In the above technical solution, by setting the battery device, the overall structural strength of the adapter ring is better, and it is conducive to improving the sealing effect of the insulation and sealing structure; in addition, it can reduce the number of welds, which is conducive to improving the assembly quality of the battery cells.

[0117] In the embodiments of the present invention, unless otherwise specified, all technical features and optional technical features of the present invention can be combined with each other to form new technical solutions.
[0118] In embodiments of the present invention, the battery apparatus may include one or more battery cell assemblies for providing voltage and capacity. A battery cell assembly may include multiple battery cells connected in series, parallel, or mixed connections via a busbar. For example, a battery cell assembly is typically formed by arranging multiple battery cells; a battery cell assembly may also be a battery module, which is formed by arranging and fixing multiple battery cells into a single module. As an example, a battery module may be formed by bundling multiple battery cells together with cable ties.
[0119] The battery device can be a battery pack, which includes a housing and one or more individual battery cells housed within the housing. The individual battery cells can be battery modules, which can be housed within the housing by securing the battery modules to the housing; alternatively, multiple individual battery cells can be housed within the housing by directly securing them to the housing.
[0120] In embodiments of the present invention, the housing may include a first housing and a second housing. The first housing and the second housing are fastened together to form a closed space inside the housing for housing individual battery cells. Here, "closed" refers to covering or shutting down; it can be sealed or unsealed. The first housing may be a top cover or a bottom plate. For example, the housing may include a top cover, a frame, and a bottom plate. The top cover and the bottom plate are respectively connected to the frame, forming a closed space inside the housing for housing individual battery cells.
[0121] In embodiments of the present invention, the housing can be part of the vehicle's chassis structure. For example, a portion of the housing can be at least a part of the vehicle's floor, or a portion of the housing can be at least a part of the vehicle's crossbeams and longitudinal beams.
[0122] In this embodiment of the invention, the battery cell can be a rechargeable battery, which refers to a battery cell that can be recharged after discharge to activate the active materials and continue to be used. The battery cell can be a lithium-ion battery, sodium-ion battery, sodium-lithium-ion battery, lithium metal battery, sodium metal battery, lithium-sulfur battery, magnesium-ion battery, nickel-metal hydride battery, nickel-cadmium battery, lead-acid battery, etc., and this embodiment of the invention is not limited to this. The battery cell can be flat, cuboid, or other shapes.
[0123] Currently, judging from market trends, battery applications are becoming increasingly widespread. Batteries are not only used in energy storage systems such as hydropower, thermal power, wind power, and solar power plants, but also extensively in electric vehicles such as electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, and electric cars, as well as in aerospace and other fields. With the continuous expansion of the application areas of power batteries, the market demand is also constantly increasing.
[0124] In related technologies, the terminals of a battery cell are mounted on the first casing wall of the battery via an mounting structure, and the assembly of the terminals is sealed by a sealing structure. However, due to limitations in the terminal mounting structure, the sealing effect of the sealing structure in these related technologies is relatively poor. Therefore, improving the sealing effect of the terminal assembly is a technical problem that needs to be solved.
[0125] Based on this, the present invention proposes a battery cell, comprising: a housing component, an electrode assembly, and a terminal post component. The housing component includes a first housing wall with mounting holes; the electrode assembly is housed within the housing component; the terminal post component is mounted at the mounting holes and includes a terminal post body, an adapter ring, and an insulating and sealing structure. The terminal post body is connected to the electrode assembly, the adapter ring surrounds the terminal post body and is connected to the first housing wall, the terminal post body and the adapter ring are riveted together, and the insulating and sealing structure is insulatingly and sealingly fitted between the adapter ring and the terminal post body.
[0126] In the aforementioned battery cell, the terminal assembly includes a terminal body, an adapter ring, and an insulating sealing structure. The adapter ring surrounds the terminal body and is welded to the first housing wall, facilitating the installation and fixation of the terminal body to the first housing wall. The insulating sealing structure, insulated and sealed between the adapter ring and the terminal body, seals the assembly gap between them. Furthermore, the insulating sealing structure provides insulation between the terminal and the adapter ring, thus achieving insulation between the terminal and the first housing wall. The adapter ring and the terminal body jointly compress the insulating sealing structure. By riveting the terminal body and the adapter ring together, the riveting pressure between them enhances the compressive force on the insulating sealing structure, resulting in higher compressive strength and better compression effect, thus improving the sealing performance of the insulating sealing structure.
[0127] The battery device disclosed in this invention can be used in electrical devices that use the battery device as a power source or in various energy storage systems that use the battery device as an energy storage element. Besides vehicles, the battery device can also be used in, but is not limited to, mobile phones, tablets, laptops, electric toys, power tools, electric vehicles, electric cars, ships, spacecraft, etc. Electric toys can include stationary or mobile electric toys, such as game consoles, electric car toys, electric ship toys, and electric airplane toys, etc. Spacecraft can include airplanes, rockets, space shuttles, and spacecraft, etc.
[0128] The electrical device disclosed in this invention can be a gasoline-powered vehicle, a natural gas-powered vehicle, or a new energy vehicle. New energy vehicles can be pure electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, or range-extended electric vehicles, etc. A battery device is installed inside the vehicle, and the battery device can be located at the bottom, front, or rear of the vehicle. The battery device can be used to power the vehicle; for example, the battery device can serve as the vehicle's operating power source. The vehicle may also include a controller and a motor. The controller is used to control the battery device to supply power to the motor, for example, for the vehicle's starting, navigation, and operating power needs. In some embodiments of this invention, the battery device can not only serve as the vehicle's operating power source but also as the vehicle's driving power source, replacing or partially replacing gasoline or natural gas to provide driving power for the vehicle.
[0129] The battery cell 102, battery device 101, and power consumption device according to embodiments of the present invention are described below with reference to Figures 1-12.
[0130] Referring to Figures 1-4, in a first aspect, the present invention provides a battery cell, comprising: a housing component 10, an electrode assembly 20, and a terminal post component 30. The housing component 10 includes a first housing wall 11, on which a mounting hole 12 is provided. The electrode assembly 20 is accommodated within the housing component 10. The terminal post component 30 is mounted at the mounting hole 12 and includes a terminal post body 31, an adapter ring 50, and an insulating sealing structure 60. The terminal post body 31 is connected to the electrode assembly 20. The adapter ring 50 surrounds the terminal post body 31 and is connected to the first housing wall 11. The terminal post body 31 and the adapter ring 50 are riveted together. The insulating sealing structure 60 is insulatingly and sealingly fitted between the adapter ring 50 and the terminal post body 31.
[0131] The first shell wall 11 can be an end cap.
[0132] For example, an explosion-proof valve and a liquid injection hole can also be provided on the first shell wall 11.
[0133] The electrode assembly 20 may include one or more electrode groups.
[0134] For example, the electrode component 30 is installed at the mounting hole 12, wherein the electrode body 31 passes through the mounting hole 12, one end of the electrode body 31 is connected to the electrode assembly 20, and the other end of the electrode body 31 can be connected to the connecting piece, which can be used to electrically connect two adjacent battery cells 102.
[0135] For example, referring to Figures 5 and 6, the adapter ring 50 can be racetrack-shaped, elliptical, or rectangular.
[0136] In the above technical solution, by setting the pole component 30 to include a pole body 31, a transition ring 50 and an insulating sealing structure 60, and by making the transition ring 50 surround the pole body 31 and weld the transition ring 50 to the first housing wall 11, it is convenient to install and fix the pole body 31 to the first housing wall 11. By making the insulating sealing structure 60 insulating and sealingly fitted between the transition ring 50 and the pole body 31, the insulating sealing structure 60 can seal the assembly gap between the transition ring 50 and the pole body 31, and the insulating sealing structure 60 can insulate and isolate the pole and the transition ring 50, thereby achieving insulation and isolation between the pole and the first housing wall 11.
[0137] Furthermore, the adapter ring 50 and the pole body 31 jointly compress the insulating sealing structure 60. By riveting the pole body 31 and the adapter ring 50 together, the riveting pressure between the pole body 31 and the adapter ring 50 can be used to enhance the compressive force on the insulating sealing structure 60. This results in higher compressive strength and better compression effect of the adapter ring 50 and the pole body 31 on the insulating sealing structure 60, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect of the insulating sealing structure 60.
[0138] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the insulating sealing structure 60 includes a seal 61, which is clamped between the pole body 31 and the adapter ring 50.
[0139] In the above technical solution, by clamping the seal 61 between the pole body 31 and the adapter ring 50, and utilizing the riveting pressure between the pole body 31 and the adapter ring 50, the clamping force and compression force on the seal 61 are enhanced. This results in higher compression strength and better compression effect of the adapter ring 50 and the pole body 31 on the seal 61, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect of the seal 61.
[0140] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the seal 61 is connected and fixed to the pole body 31.
[0141] In the above technical solution, by connecting and fixing the sealing element 61 to the pole body 31, when riveting the pole body 31 and the adapter ring 50, the sealing element 61 can be connected and fixed to the pole body 31 first, and then the pole body 31 with the sealing element 61 can be riveted to the adapter ring 50. During the riveting process between the pole body 31 and the adapter ring 50, the riveting pressure between the pole body 31 and the adapter ring 50 can be used to achieve better compression of the sealing element 61, improve the sealing effect of the sealing element 61, and facilitate the installation of the pole body 31, the sealing element 61 and the adapter ring 50.
[0142] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the insulating sealing structure 60 includes a seal 61, which is made of insulating material. The seal 61 includes a first sealing portion 62, which is located on the axial side of the adapter ring 50 and between the adapter ring 50 and the pole body 31.
[0143] For example, the first sealing part 62 is interference-fitted with the adapter ring 50 and the pole body 31, which can improve the sealing effect of the first sealing part 62.
[0144] In the above technical solution, by setting the insulating sealing structure 60 as a sealing element 61 made of insulating material, the sealing element 61 can seal the assembly gap between the terminal body 31 and the adapter ring 50, while also insulating and isolating the terminal body 31 from the adapter ring 50. By setting the sealing element 61 to include a first sealing part 62 located on the axial side of the adapter ring 50, and clamping the first sealing part 62 between the adapter ring 50 and the terminal body 31, the clamping force of the adapter ring and the terminal body 31 along the axial direction of the terminal body 31 on the first sealing part 62 provides a strong compressive force on the first sealing part 62, which helps to improve the sealing effect of the sealing element 61 and more effectively prevents external water or dust from entering the battery cell 102.
[0145] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the first sealing portion 62 is located on the side of the adapter ring 50 facing the electrode assembly 20.
[0146] In the above technical solution, by positioning the first sealing part 62 on the side of the adapter ring 50 facing the electrode assembly 20, the adapter ring 50 can press the first sealing part 62 in the direction of the electrode assembly 20 with the pressing force during the installation and pressing of the electrode post body 31. The adapter ring 50 has a more sufficient compressive force on the first sealing part 62, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect.
[0147] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, a pressing protrusion 51 is formed on one axial side of the adapter ring 50, and a pressing groove 63 is provided on the first sealing part 62, with the pressing protrusion 51 accommodated in the pressing groove 63.
[0148] In the above technical solution, by forming a pressing protrusion 51 on one axial side of the adapter ring 50 and providing a pressing groove 63 on the first sealing part 62, and by having the pressing protrusion 51 accommodated in the pressing groove 63, the contact area between the adapter ring 50 and the first sealing part 62 can be increased, thereby enhancing the compression and pressing effect of the adapter ring 50 on the first sealing part 62, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect of the first sealing part 62, and thus improving the sealing effect of the sealing element 61; and the installation and positioning of the sealing element 61 can be facilitated by the cooperation of the pressing protrusion 51 with the pressing groove 63.
[0149] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the seal 61 further includes a second sealing portion 64, which is connected to the first sealing portion 62 and is located between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring 50 and the outer circumferential side of the pole body 31.
[0150] For example, the second sealing part 64 is integrally formed with the first sealing part 62.
[0151] In the above technical solution, by setting the seal 61 to include a second sealing part 64 located between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring 50 and the outer circumferential side of the electrode body 31, the second sealing part 64 can more fully seal the assembly gap between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring 50 and the outer circumferential side of the electrode body 31, and more fully prevent water or dust in the air from entering the battery cell 102 through the gap between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring 50 and the outer circumferential side of the electrode body 31. Furthermore, by connecting the second sealing part 64 with the first sealing part 62, axial sealing is achieved through the first sealing part 62, and radial sealing is achieved through the second sealing part 64. This increases the sealing area, improves the sealing effect, and enhances the sealing performance of the seal 61.
[0152] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the electrode body 31 includes a first electrode portion 32, an adapter ring 50 surrounds the first electrode portion 32, the first electrode portion 32 is riveted to the adapter ring 50, a seal 61 is clamped between the first electrode portion 32 and the adapter ring 50, and the first electrode portion 32 is connected to the electrode assembly 20.
[0153] In the above technical solution, by making the pole body 31 include a first pole portion 32, and by clamping the sealing member 61 between the first pole portion 32 and the adapter ring 50, the clamping force and compression force on the sealing member 61 are enhanced by utilizing the riveting pressure between the first pole portion 32 and the adapter ring 50. This makes the compression strength of the adapter ring 50 and the first pole portion 32 on the sealing member 61 higher and the compression effect better, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect of the sealing member 61.
[0154] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the first electrode post 32 includes a first column segment 34 and a second column segment 35 disposed along the axial direction of the first electrode post 32. The adapter ring 50 surrounds the outer periphery of the first column segment 34. The second column segment 35 is located on the side of the adapter ring 50 near the electrode assembly 20. The second column segment 35 is connected to the electrode assembly 20. In the radially outward direction of the first electrode post 32, the portion of the second column segment 35 protruding from the first column segment 34 is a limiting portion 36. The seal 61 includes a first sealing portion 62. In the axial direction of the adapter ring 50, the first sealing portion 62 is clamped between the limiting portion 36 and the adapter ring 50.
[0155] In the above technical solution, by configuring the first electrode post 32 to include a first post segment 34 and a second post segment 35, and positioning the second post segment 35 on the side of the adapter ring 50 closer to the electrode assembly 20, and connecting the electrode assembly 20 to the second post segment 35 with a larger radial dimension, the connection area between the electrode post body 31 and the electrode assembly 20 can be increased, thereby reducing the risk of connection breakage between the electrode post body 31 and the electrode assembly 20. Furthermore, by including a limiting portion 36 protruding from the first post segment 34 in the second post segment 35, the limiting portion 36 can limit the electrode post body 31 in the axial direction of the electrode post body 31. This design can prevent the electrode body 31 from shifting away from the electrode assembly 20 along the axial direction of the electrode body 31, thus preventing it from falling off. By including a first sealing part 62 in the sealing member 61 and positioning the first sealing part 62 between the limiting part 36 and the adapter ring 50, the limiting part 36 and the adapter ring 50 together exert a compressive force on the first sealing part 62 in the axial direction of the electrode body 31. This helps to improve the sealing effect of the sealing member 61 between the limiting part 36 and the adapter ring 50, and more effectively prevents water or dust from entering the battery cell 102 through the gap between the limiting part 36 and the adapter ring 50.
[0156] In some embodiments, referring to FIG4, the thickness of the limiting portion 36 is greater than the thickness of the adapter ring 50 in the axial direction.
[0157] For example, in the axial direction of the adapter ring 50, the thickness dimension of the limiting part 36 is a, and the thickness dimension of the adapter ring 50 is b, where a > b.
[0158] In the above technical solution, by making the thickness of the limiting part 36 greater than the thickness of the adapter ring 50, the limiting part 36 can be made thicker, giving it higher structural strength and rigidity. This allows the limiting part 36 to provide more sufficient support and compressive force to the sealing element 61, further improving the sealing effect.
[0159] In some embodiments, referring to FIG4, the width of the limiting portion 36 in the radial direction of the adapter ring 50 is smaller than the width of the adapter ring 50.
[0160] For example, in the radial direction of the adapter ring 50, the width dimension of the limiting part 36 is d1, and the width dimension of the adapter ring 50 is d2, where d1 < d2.
[0161] In the above technical solution, by making the width of the limiting part 36 in the radial direction of the adapter ring 50 smaller than the width of the adapter ring 50, the width of the limiting part 36 can be smaller, resulting in a shorter cantilever of the sealing member 61. This reduces the welding heat impact during the welding connection process between the adapter ring 50 and the first shell wall 11, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect.
[0162] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the seal 61 further includes a second sealing portion 64, which is connected to the first sealing portion 62 and is located between the inner circumferential side of the transition ring 50 and the outer circumferential side of the first column segment 34.
[0163] For example, the second sealing part 64 is integrally formed with the first sealing part 62.
[0164] In the above technical solution, by setting the seal 61 to include a second sealing part 64 located between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring 50 and the outer circumferential side of the first column segment 34, the second sealing part 64 can more fully seal the assembly gap between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring 50 and the outer circumferential side of the first column segment 34, and more fully prevent water or dust in the air from entering the battery cell 102 through the gap between the inner circumferential side of the adapter ring 50 and the outer circumferential side of the first column segment 34.
[0165] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the first pole post 32 is an integrally formed part.
[0166] In the above technical solution, by making the first pole post 32 an integrally formed part, the number of parts of the pole post body 31 can be reduced, which is beneficial to reducing the assembly process of the pole post body 31 and improving assembly efficiency.
[0167] In some embodiments, the seal 61 is connected and fixed to the first pole post 32.
[0168] In the above technical solution, by connecting and fixing the sealing element 61 to the first pole post 32, when riveting the first pole post 32 to the adapter ring 50, the sealing element 61 can be connected and fixed to the first pole post 32 firstly, and then the first pole post 32 with the sealing element 61 can be riveted to the adapter ring 50. During the riveting process between the first pole post 32 and the adapter ring 50, the riveting pressure between the first pole post 32 and the adapter ring 50 can be used to achieve better compression of the sealing element 61, improve the sealing effect of the sealing element 61, and facilitate the installation of the first pole post 32, the sealing element 61 and the adapter ring 50.
[0169] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the electrode body 31 includes a second electrode portion 37, which is connected to a first electrode portion 32, and the second electrode portion 37 is located on the side of the adapter ring 50 away from the electrode assembly 20. Both the second electrode portion 37 and the first electrode portion 32 are independently molded parts.
[0170] In the above technical solution, by providing the electrode body 31 with a first electrode portion 32 and a second electrode portion 37 that are respectively formed independently, and by positioning the second electrode portion 37 on the side of the adapter ring 50 away from the electrode assembly 20, when assembling the electrode body 31 and the adapter ring 50, the first electrode portion 32 can be riveted to the adapter ring 50 first, and then the second electrode portion 37 can be connected to the end of the first electrode portion 32 away from the electrode assembly 20. This facilitates the assembly of the electrode body 31 and the adapter ring 50, and the second electrode portion 37 can axially limit the installation of the electrode body 31 and the adapter ring 50, preventing the electrode body 31 from moving towards the side closer to the electrode assembly 20. Furthermore, since the second electrode portion 37 is located on the side of the adapter ring 50 away from the electrode assembly 20, the second electrode portion 37 can enhance the compression effect of the adapter ring 50 on the seal 61, further improving the sealing effect of the seal 61.
[0171] In some embodiments, the second pole portion 37 is a one-piece molded part.
[0172] In the above technical solution, by making the second pole post 37 an integrally formed part, the number of parts of the pole post body 31 can be reduced, which is beneficial to reducing the assembly process of the pole post body 31 and improving assembly efficiency.
[0173] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the first pole post 32 and the second pole post 37 are welded together.
[0174] In the above technical solution, by welding the first pole portion 32 and the second pole portion 37 together, the connection between the first pole portion 32 and the second pole portion 37 can be made more stable, reducing the risk of the first pole portion 32 and the second pole portion 37 becoming disconnected and causing a circuit break.
[0175] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the second electrode post 37 is provided with a connection hole 41, and the end of the first electrode post 32 facing away from the electrode assembly 20 passes through the connection hole 41.
[0176] In the above technical solution, by providing a connection hole 41 on the second electrode post 37 and having the end of the first electrode post 32 facing away from the electrode assembly 20 pass through the connection hole 41, the connection hole 41 can limit the first electrode post 32, reduce the radial displacement of the first electrode post 32 along the electrode post body 31, reduce the risk of the first electrode post 32 and the second electrode post 37 becoming disconnected and causing a circuit break, and make the connection between the first electrode post 32 and the second electrode post 37 more secure.
[0177] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, in the axial direction of the adapter ring 50 and in the direction away from the electrode assembly 20, the end of the first pole post 32 away from the electrode assembly 20 does not protrude from the second pole post 37.
[0178] For example, the end of the back electrode assembly 20 of the first electrode post 32 does not protrude from the second electrode post 37, including: the end of the back electrode assembly 20 of the first electrode post 32 is flush with the second electrode post 37; or, the end of the back electrode assembly 20 of the first electrode post 32 is recessed relative to the second electrode post 37.
[0179] In the above technical solution, by ensuring that the end of the first electrode post 32 that is away from the electrode assembly 20 does not protrude from the second electrode post 37, it is possible to avoid the battery cell 102 being elongated in the height direction as a whole due to the first electrode post 32 protruding from the second electrode post 37. This is beneficial to reduce the space occupied by the battery cell 102, thereby improving the energy density of the battery device 101 formed by assembling multiple battery cells 102.
[0180] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the first pole portion 32 is riveted to the connecting hole 41.
[0181] In the above technical solution, by riveting the first pole portion 32 to the connecting hole 41, a stable connection between the first pole portion 32 and the second pole portion 37 can be achieved, and the first pole portion 32 and the second pole portion 37 can be in close contact, which helps to reduce the interface resistance at the connection interface between the first pole portion 32 and the second pole portion 37.
[0182] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, a limiting protrusion 42 is formed on the inner peripheral wall of the connecting hole 41, and a limiting groove 33 is formed on the outer peripheral wall of the first pole post 32, with the limiting protrusion 42 accommodated in the limiting groove 33.
[0183] For example, the limiting protrusion 42 can be an annular ring surrounding the first pole post 32; the limiting groove 33 can be an annular ring surrounding the first pole post 32.
[0184] In the above technical solution, by forming a limiting protrusion 42 on the inner peripheral wall of the connecting hole 41 and a limiting groove 33 on the outer peripheral wall of the first pole post 32, and by having the limiting protrusion 42 accommodated in the limiting groove 33, the limiting protrusion 42 can limit the limiting groove 33, thereby reducing the displacement of the first pole post 32 relative to the second pole post 37 along the axial direction of the first pole post 32, and reducing the risk of the first pole post 32 and the second pole post 37 becoming disconnected and causing a circuit break.
[0185] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, a pole weld 43 is connected between the first pole portion 32 and the second pole portion 37, and the pole weld 43 surrounds the first pole portion 32.
[0186] In the above technical solution, by connecting the first pole post 32 and the second pole post 37 with a pole post weld 43, the connection between the first pole post 32 and the second pole post 37 can be stabilized, reducing the risk of the first pole post 32 and the second pole post 37 becoming disconnected and causing an open circuit; by making the pole post weld 43 surround the first pole post 32, the outer periphery of the first pole post 32 can be connected to the second pole post 37 through the pole post weld 43, making the connection between the first pole post 32 and the second pole post 37 more stable and reliable.
[0187] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the pole weld 43 is located at the end of the second pole portion 37 away from the transition ring 50.
[0188] In the above technical solution, by positioning the pole weld 43 at the end of the second pole portion 37 away from the transition ring 50, the heat generated during welding of the pole weld 43 can be reduced on the transition ring 50, and the deformation of the transition ring 50 caused by heat can be reduced, thus reducing the impact on the sealing effect.
[0189] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the second pole post 37 is a metal composite part, the second pole post 37 includes a second pole post body 38 and an auxiliary connecting part 40, the second pole post body 38 is made of a different material than the first pole post 32, and the auxiliary connecting part 40 is made of the same material as the first pole post 32.
[0190] For example, the material of the second pole post body 38 can be aluminum, and the material of the auxiliary connecting part 40 and the first pole post 32 can be copper.
[0191] In the above technical solution, since the first pole post 32 and the second pole post body 38 are made of different materials, it may be difficult and the welding quality may be poor when the first pole post 32 and the second pole post 37 are directly welded together. By making the second pole post 37 include the second pole post body 38 and the auxiliary connecting part 40, and making the auxiliary connecting part 40 and the first pole post 32 made of the same material, the first pole post 32 and the auxiliary connecting part 40 can be welded together, reducing the welding difficulty and making the welding quality easier to control.
[0192] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the second pole post body 38 has a receiving notch 39 on the side opposite to the adapter ring 50. The receiving notch 39 penetrates the inner peripheral wall of the connecting hole 41, and the auxiliary connecting part 40 is accommodated in the receiving notch 39.
[0193] For example, the receiving notch 39 is annular, and the auxiliary connecting part 40 is also annular, so that the auxiliary connecting part 40 can be completely accommodated in the receiving notch 39.
[0194] In the above technical solution, by providing a receiving notch 39 on the side of the second pole post 37 away from the adapter ring 50, and by having the auxiliary connecting part 40 accommodated in the receiving notch 39, the auxiliary connecting part 40 can be limited by the receiving notch 39, making the connection between the auxiliary connecting part 40 and the main body 38 of the second pole post more complete; by having the receiving notch 39 penetrate through the inner peripheral wall of the connecting hole 41, the auxiliary connecting part 40 can more easily come into direct contact with the first pole post 32, making it easier to weld the auxiliary connecting part 40 to the first pole post 32.
[0195] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the insulating sealing structure 60 includes a seal 61 and an insulator 65. The seal 61 is made of insulating material and is located between the first pole portion 32 and the transition ring 50. At least a portion of the insulator 65 is located between the second pole portion 37 and the transition ring 50.
[0196] For example, at least a portion of the insulating member 65 may be located between the second pole portion 37 and the transition ring 50, which may include: the entire insulating member 65 being located between the second pole portion 37 and the transition ring 50; or, a portion of the insulating member 65 being located between the second pole portion 37 and the transition ring 50.
[0197] In the above embodiments, by setting the insulating sealing structure 60 as a sealing element 61 made of insulating material, the sealing element 61 can seal the assembly gap between the pole body 31 and the transition ring 50, while also insulating the pole body 31 from the transition ring 50; by positioning at least a portion of the insulating element 65 between the second pole portion 37 and the transition ring 50, the insulating element 65 can isolate and insulate the second pole portion 37 from the transition ring 50.
[0198] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the first pole post 32 includes a first column segment 34 and a second column segment 35 arranged axially along the first pole post 32. The adapter ring 50 surrounds the outer periphery of the first column segment 34. One end of the first column segment 34 is connected to the second pole post 37, and the other end of the first column segment 34 is connected to the second column segment 35. The second column segment 35 is located on the side of the adapter ring 50 near the electrode assembly 20. The second column segment 35 is connected to the electrode assembly 20. In the radially outward direction of the first pole post 32, the portion of the second column segment 35 protruding from the first column segment 34 is a limiting portion 36. The seal 61 includes a first sealing portion 62. In the axial direction of the adapter ring 50, the first sealing portion 62 is located between the limiting portion 36 and the adapter ring 50.
[0199] In the above embodiments, by configuring the first electrode post 32 to include a first post segment 34 and a second post segment 35, and positioning the second post segment 35 on the side of the adapter ring 50 closer to the electrode assembly 20, and connecting the electrode assembly 20 to the second post segment 35 with a larger radial dimension, the connection area between the electrode post body 31 and the electrode assembly 20 can be increased, thereby reducing the risk of connection breakage between the electrode post body 31 and the electrode assembly 20. Furthermore, by including a limiting portion 36 protruding from the first post segment 34 in the second post segment 35, the limiting portion 36 can limit the electrode post body 31 in the axial direction of the electrode post body 31. This can prevent the electrode body 31 from moving away from the electrode assembly 20 along the axial direction of the electrode body 31 and causing it to fall off. By making the sealing member 61 include a first sealing part 62 and placing the first sealing part 62 between the limiting part 36 and the adapter ring 50, the limiting part 36 and the adapter ring 50 together exert a compressive force on the first sealing part 62 in the axial direction of the electrode body 31, which helps to improve the sealing effect of the sealing member 61 between the limiting part 36 and the adapter ring 50, and more fully prevents water or dust from entering the battery cell 102 through the gap between the limiting part 36 and the adapter ring 50.
[0200] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 1 and 2, in the width direction of the first shell wall 11, the width dimension of the second pole portion 37 is greater than the width dimension of the second column segment 35.
[0201] For example, in the width direction of the first shell wall 11, the width of the second pole post 37 is d3, and the width of the second column segment 35 is d4, where d3 > d4.
[0202] For example, the width direction of the first shell wall 11 is the e1 direction in Figure 2.
[0203] In the above technical solution, by making the width of the second pole post 37 greater than the width of the second pole segment 35, the width of the second pole post 37 can be made wider, increasing the area that the second pole post 37 can connect with other components, and more fully reducing the risk of the second pole post 37 becoming disconnected when connected with other components.
[0204] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the insulating member 65 includes an insulating body portion 66 and an insulating extension portion 67. The insulating body portion 66 is located between the second pole portion 37 and the transition ring 50, and the insulating extension portion 67 is located between the outer peripheral side of the first pole segment 34 and the inner peripheral side of the transition ring 50.
[0205] In the above technical solution, by making the insulating member 65 include an insulating main body portion 66 and making the insulating main body portion 66 located between the second pole portion 37 and the transition ring 50, the insulating main body portion 66 can isolate and insulate the second pole portion 37 and the transition ring 50; by making the insulating member 65 include an insulating extension portion 67 and making the insulating extension portion 67 located between the outer peripheral side of the first pole segment 34 and the inner peripheral side of the transition ring 50, the insulating extension portion 67 can isolate and insulate the transition ring 50 and the first pole segment 34.
[0206] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the seal 61 further includes a second sealing portion 64 connected to the first sealing portion 62. The second sealing portion 64 is located between the inner peripheral side of the transition ring 50 and the outer peripheral side of the first column segment 34. In the radial direction of the transition ring 50, the insulating extension 67 partially overlaps with the second sealing portion 64.
[0207] In the above technical solution, by partially overlapping the insulating extension 67 and the second sealing part 64 in the radial direction of the adapter ring 50, the sealing effect between the insulating extension 67 and the second sealing part 64 can be improved, reducing the amount of water and other substances that can enter the battery cell 102 through the space between the insulating extension 67 and the second sealing part 64.
[0208] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 3 and 4, the adapter ring 50 is welded to the first shell wall 11.
[0209] In the above technical solution, by welding the adapter ring 50 to the first shell wall 11, it is convenient to reliably connect and install the adapter ring 50 to the first shell wall 11.
[0210] In some embodiments, the adapter ring 50 is a one-piece molded part.
[0211] In the above technical solution, by setting the adapter ring 50 as a one-piece molded part, the overall structural strength of the adapter ring 50 is better. It can also avoid insufficient compressive force on the insulating sealing structure 60 (e.g., seal 61) caused by the welding deformation of the adapter ring 50 due to its multiple parts being welded together. This reduces the impact of the welding thermal deformation of the adapter ring 50 on the sealing effect of the insulating sealing structure 60, thereby allowing the adapter ring 50 and the electrode body 31 to have higher compressive strength and better compression effect on the insulating sealing structure 60, which is beneficial to improving the sealing effect of the insulating sealing structure 60. In addition, setting the adapter ring 50 as a one-piece molded part can reduce the number of welds and reduce the risk of interference between welds. For example, it can reduce or avoid the risk of interference between the welds of the adapter ring 50 itself and the welds between the adapter ring 50 and the first shell wall 11, which is beneficial to improving the assembly quality of the battery cell 102.
[0212] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 1 and 2, the first shell wall 11 is provided with two spaced-apart mounting holes 12, which are used to install two pole post components 30 with opposite polarities.
[0213] For example, the first shell wall 11 is provided with two spaced-apart mounting holes 12, which can be arranged at intervals along the length of the first shell wall 11.
[0214] In the above technical solution, by providing two mounting holes 12 on the first shell wall 11, and by using the two mounting holes 12 respectively for mounting the two electrode components 30 with opposite polarities, both the positive electrode component 30 and the negative electrode component 30 can be fixedly connected to the first shell wall 11. By spaced the two mounting holes 12 apart, short circuits caused by contact between the positive electrode component 30 and the negative electrode component 30 can be avoided. Furthermore, by mounting the electrode components 30 with opposite polarities on the first shell wall 11, the assembly of the two electrode components 30 is convenient.
[0215] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 7-10, the electrode assembly 20 includes an electrode body 21 and a tab structure 22 connected to one side of the electrode body 21. The tab structure 22 of the same polarity includes a plurality of tab portions 23, and each tab portion 23 of the same polarity is connected to a pole body 31 of the same polarity.
[0216] For example, the electrode structure 22 of the same polarity includes n electrode portions 23, where the value of n can be 2, 3, 4, etc.
[0217] In the above technical solution, by making the tab structure 22 of the same polarity include multiple tab portions 23, the number of stacked tabs in a single tab portion 23 can be reduced, and the thickness of a single tab portion 23 can be thinner. This can reduce the bending process difficulty of a single tab portion 23 and help reduce the space occupied by a single tab portion 23 in the axial direction of the electrode body 31 after bending, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the battery cell 102. Furthermore, if the tab structure 22 of the same polarity is set as a single tab portion 23, in order to reduce the bending process difficulty of the tab portion 23, the length of the tab portion 23 needs to be increased. However, a larger length of the tab portion 23 will lead to a short circuit problem caused by redundant insertion of the tab into the electrode body 21. Since the thickness of a single tab portion 23 in this application is thinner, the length of a single tab portion 23 can be set to be shorter, which can reduce the short circuit problem caused by redundant insertion of the tab.
[0218] In some embodiments, referring to FIG9, a plurality of tabs 23 are arranged along the length direction of the first shell wall 11.
[0219] For example, the length direction of the first shell wall 11 is the e2 direction in Figure 2.
[0220] In the above technical solution, by arranging multiple tabs 23 along the length direction of the first shell wall 11, the space between the first shell wall 11 and the electrode body 21 along the length direction of the first shell wall 11 can be fully utilized. The length direction of the first shell wall 11 makes it easier to arrange multiple tabs than the width direction, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the battery cell 102.
[0221] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 7-10, the portion of the pole body 31 that passes through the adapter ring 50 is the first pole segment 34, and at least a portion of the pole tab 23 is offset from the first pole segment 34.
[0222] In this configuration, at least some of the tabs 23 are offset from the first column segment 34, including: each tab 23 is offset from the first column segment 34; or, some tabs 23 are offset from the first column segment 34, while other tabs 23 are opposite to the first column segment 34.
[0223] In the above technical solution, since the distance between the first column segment 34 and the electrode body 21 is relatively small, by making at least part of the tab 23 staggered from the first column segment 34, the tab 23 can be arranged in a position with a larger space between the first shell wall 11 and the electrode body 21, making full use of the space inside the first shell wall 11 and the electrode body 21. In this way, it is not necessary to increase the space at the position of the first column segment 34 in order to accommodate the tab 23, which would cause the axial dimension of the battery cell 102 along the electrode body 31 to increase, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the battery cell 102.
[0224] In some embodiments, referring to FIG9, the same polarity tab structure 22 includes two tab portions 23, which are located on opposite sides of the first column segment 34.
[0225] In the above technical solution, by making the tab structure 22 of the same polarity include multiple tab portions 23, the number of stacked tabs in a single tab portion 23 can be reduced, and the thickness of a single tab portion 23 can be thinner. By setting two tab structures 22 of the same polarity, the thickness of a single tab 23 can be reduced, and the number of tabs 23 of the same polarity can be reduced to facilitate installation and connection. Furthermore, by placing the two tabs 23 of the same polarity on opposite sides of the first column segment 34, the tabs 23 of the same polarity can make full use of the space between the first shell wall 11 and the electrode body 21 located on opposite sides of the first column segment 34, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the battery cell 102.
[0226] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 8 and 9, the adapter ring 50 is recessed in the direction away from the electrode assembly 20 to form a clearance groove 52 on the side of the adapter ring 50 facing the electrode assembly 20, and at least a portion of the tab 23 is accommodated in the clearance groove 52.
[0227] In this embodiment, at least a portion of the tab 23 is accommodated within the clearance groove 52, including: a portion of each tab 23 is accommodated within the clearance groove 52; or, a portion of the tab 23 is accommodated within the clearance groove 52.
[0228] In the above technical solution, since part of the electrode body 31 protrudes from the outer surface of the adapter ring 50, by making the adapter ring 50 recessed in the direction away from the electrode assembly 20, a clearance groove 52 is formed on the side of the adapter ring 50 facing the electrode assembly 20. The space formed by the electrode body 31 protruding from the outer surface of the adapter ring 50 can be fully utilized, which can increase the space for accommodating the tab 23, accommodate a larger tab 23, or make the size of the electrode body 21 larger, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the battery cell 102.
[0229] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 8 and 9, an avoidance protrusion 53 is formed on one side of the adapter ring 50 away from the avoidance groove 52. Along the axial direction of the adapter ring 50 and in the direction away from the electrode assembly 20, the avoidance protrusion 53 does not protrude from the electrode post member 30.
[0230] Wherein, the avoidance convex 53 does not protrude from the pole member 30, including: the avoidance convex 53 is flush with the outer surface of the pole member 30 in the axial direction; or, the pole member 30 protrudes from the avoidance convex 53 in the axial direction relative to the pole member 30.
[0231] In the above technical solution, by making the avoidance protrusion 53 formed on the side of the adapter ring 50 away from the avoidance groove 52 not protrude out of the electrode post component 30, while making full use of the space formed by the electrode post body 31 protruding out of the outer surface of the adapter ring 50, it can avoid occupying extra space due to the avoidance protrusion 53 protruding too much, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the electrode unit.
[0232] In some embodiments, the roots of multiple tabs 23 of the same polarity are spaced apart or connected as one unit.
[0233] In the above technical solution, by spacing the roots of multiple tabs 23 of the same polarity apart, the connection operation of a single tab 23 can be made more convenient; by connecting the roots of multiple tabs 23 of the same polarity into one, the integrity of the tab structure 22 of the same polarity can be improved.
[0234] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 8 and 9, the electrode assembly 20 includes an electrode body 21 and a tab structure 22 connected to one side of the electrode body 21. The portion of the electrode post body 31 that passes through the adapter ring 50 is a first post segment 34, and the tab structure 22 is offset from the first post segment 34.
[0235] In the above technical solution, since the distance between the first column segment 34 and the electrode body 21 is relatively small, by making at least part of the tab 23 staggered from the first column segment 34, the tab 23 can be arranged in a position with a larger space between the first shell wall 11 and the electrode body 21, making full use of the space inside the first shell wall 11 and the electrode body 21. In this way, it is not necessary to increase the space at the position of the first column segment 34 in order to accommodate the tab 23, which would cause the axial dimension of the battery cell 102 along the electrode body 31 to increase, which is beneficial to improving the energy density of the battery cell 102.
[0236] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 8 and 9, the adapter ring 50 is recessed in the direction away from the electrode assembly 20 to form a clearance groove 52 on the side of the adapter ring 50 facing the electrode assembly 20, and a portion of the tab structure 22 is accommodated in the clearance groove 52.
[0237] For example, referring to FIG10, the installation steps of the battery cell 102 include: first connecting the tab structure 22 to the terminal component 30; then rotating and pressing the terminal component 30 onto the battery casing, at which time the tab structure 22 is bent so that the tab structure 22 is accommodated in the clearance groove 52; and welding the terminal component 30 to the battery casing, thus completing the installation of the battery cell 102.
[0238] In the above technical solution, since part of the electrode body 31 protrudes from the outer surface of the adapter ring 50, by making the adapter ring 50 recessed in the direction away from the electrode assembly 20, a clearance groove 52 is formed on the side of the adapter ring 50 facing the electrode assembly 20.
[0239] Secondly, this embodiment provides a battery device 101, including: a housing 111 and a battery cell 102 according to the first aspect of the present invention, wherein the battery cell 102 is disposed inside the housing 111.
[0240] In the above technical solution, by setting the battery cell 102, the overall structural strength of the adapter ring 50 is better, and it is beneficial to improve the sealing effect of the insulation and sealing structure 60; in addition, it can reduce the number of welds, which is beneficial to improve the assembly quality of the battery cell 102.
[0241] Thirdly, this embodiment provides an electrical device 100, including a battery device 101 according to a second aspect embodiment of the present invention.
[0242] The electrical device 100 can be a vehicle, and the battery device 101 can be installed at the bottom of the vehicle body 110.
[0243] In the above technical solution, by setting the battery device 101, the overall structural strength of the adapter ring 50 is better, and it is beneficial to improve the sealing effect of the insulation and sealing structure 60; in addition, it can reduce the number of welds, which is beneficial to improve the assembly quality of the battery cell 102.
[0244] The battery cell 102 according to some embodiments of the present invention is described below with reference to Figures 1-12.
[0245] Referring to Figures 1-12, in this embodiment, the battery cell 102 includes: a housing component 10, an electrode assembly 20, and a terminal component 30.
[0246] The housing component 10 includes a first housing wall 11, on which two mounting holes 12 are provided at intervals. The two mounting holes 12 are respectively used to install two pole post components 30 with opposite polarities.
[0247] The electrode assembly 20 is housed within the housing component 10.
[0248] The pole component 30 is installed at the mounting hole 12 and includes the pole body 31, the adapter ring 50 and the insulating sealing structure 60.
[0249] The electrode body 31 is connected to the electrode assembly 20. An adapter ring 50 surrounds the electrode body 31 and is welded to the first shell wall 11. An insulating and sealing structure 60 is insulated and sealed between the adapter ring 50 and the electrode body 31. The electrode body 31 includes a first electrode portion 32 and a second electrode portion 37. Both the first electrode portion 32 and the second electrode portion 37 are independently molded parts. The adapter ring 50 surrounds the first electrode portion 32. The second electrode portion 37 is connected to the first electrode portion 32 and is located on the side of the adapter ring 50 facing away from the electrode assembly 20. The first electrode portion 32 is connected to the electrode assembly 20. The first electrode portion 32 and the second electrode portion 37 are integrally molded parts, and the first electrode portion 32 and the second electrode portion 37 are welded together. The second electrode portion 37 has a connecting hole 41. The end of the first electrode portion 32 facing away from the electrode assembly 20 passes through the connecting hole 41, and the first electrode portion 32 is riveted to the connecting hole 41. Along the axial direction of the adapter ring 50 and in the direction away from the electrode assembly 20, the end of the first pole post 32 away from the electrode assembly 20 does not protrude from the second pole post 37. A limiting protrusion 42 is formed on the inner peripheral wall of the connecting hole 41, and a limiting groove 33 is formed on the outer peripheral wall of the first pole post 32, and the limiting protrusion 42 is accommodated in the limiting groove 33.
[0250] A pole weld 43 connects the first pole post 32 and the second pole post 37, and the pole weld 43 surrounds the first pole post 32. The pole weld 43 is located at the end of the second pole post 37 away from the transition ring 50. The second pole post 37 is a metal composite part, including a second pole post body 38 and an auxiliary connecting part 40.
