Abstract
Description
A method and apparatus for reporting channel information of nodes in wireless communication. Technical Field
[0001] This application relates to transmission methods and apparatus in wireless communication systems, and more particularly to schemes and apparatus for channel information reporting in wireless communication systems. Background Technology
[0002] The application scenarios of future wireless communication systems are becoming increasingly diversified, and different application scenarios place different performance requirements on the systems. With the widespread application of 5G, new business models and new application scenarios are constantly emerging, and the existing 5G standard cannot fully meet the new demands. Therefore, 3GPP is preparing to begin preliminary research on 6G. As application scenarios become more diversified and new business models emerge, the demand for more flexible and effective use of spectrum resources is increasing daily. Therefore, 6G needs to explore new ways of using spectrum resources.
[0003] Both 4G and 5G systems support carrier aggregation (CA), which allows different frequency domain resources to be used together, increasing overall bandwidth and thus transmission rate and throughput. However, in existing 4G and 5G systems, each component carrier (CC) corresponds to a different cell, and it does not support two or more component carriers corresponding to the same cell. This approach in existing 4G and 5G systems greatly limits the spectrum flexibility in carrier aggregation, especially limiting the use of many fragmented spectrum resources. As spectrum resources (especially low-frequency spectrum resources) become increasingly valuable, 6G networks need to find a flexible and efficient way to utilize spectrum resources. The possibility of multiple carriers or spectrum distributed across multiple bands corresponding to the same cell, thus supporting uplink and downlink transmissions distributed across multiple carriers, is considered a more efficient means for 6G networks to utilize spectrum resources.
[0004] In 5G, CSI reporting on different carriers is configured and reported separately. A BWP on a carrier consists of consecutive RBs (Resource Blocks). CSI reporting in 5G supports subband channel information reporting. The subband size depends on the bandwidth of the BWP (i.e., the total number of RBs included). The size of each subband in the BWP depends on the subband size. For example, section 5.2.1.4 of 3GPP TS 38.214 indicates that the size of a subband is either the subband size or calculated based on the subband size. Summary of the Invention
[0005] The applicant's research found that independently configuring and reporting channel information on different frequency domain resources significantly increases configuration and reporting overhead. In future wireless communication systems, to utilize spectrum resources more flexibly and effectively, reporting channel information from multiple frequency domain resources simultaneously can greatly reduce reporting overhead, improve spectrum efficiency, and reduce terminal power consumption. Typically, the size of each sub-band depends on the size of a common sub-band; therefore, determining the size of this common sub-band is a key issue that needs to be addressed when reporting channel information from multiple frequency domain resources simultaneously.
[0006] In view of the above problems, this application discloses a solution. It should be noted that the description in this application only uses multi-carrier single-cell (or single-cell multi-carrier) as a typical application scenario or example; this application is also applicable to 6G networks or other scenarios facing similar problems in the future (such as other scenarios requiring the joint use of multiple carriers, or other scenarios requiring effective utilization of fragmented spectrum, such as 2G or 3G spectrum refarming, or other scenarios utilizing idle spectrum from non-cellular systems), targeting different application scenarios, such as eMBB, URLLC, full-duplex networks, IoT, sensor networks, integrated sensing networks, and smart meters. Similar technical effects can be achieved with surface-to-surface (SBS) and terahertz networks using V2X. Furthermore, adopting a unified solution for different scenarios (including but not limited to eMBB, URLLC, full-duplex networks, IoT, sensor networks, integrated sensing networks, smart metasurfaces, terahertz networks, and V2X scenarios) or different application parameters helps reduce hardware complexity and cost. Where there is no conflict, the embodiments and features used in the first node of this application can be applied to the second node of this application, and vice versa. Where there is no conflict, the embodiments and features used in the embodiments of this application can be arbitrarily combined with each other.
[0007] Where necessary, the interpretation of terms used in this application may be referenced to the descriptions in the TS38 series of specification protocols of the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partner Project).

[0077] This application discloses a first node for wireless communication, characterized in that it comprises:
[0078] A first receiver receives a first information block, the first information block indicating at least one of L frequency domain resources, where L is a positive integer greater than 1;

[0080] The first report includes channel information on at least one sub-band of each of the L frequency domain resources; the size of each sub-band of the L frequency domain resources depends on the size of a first sub-band; and the size of the first sub-band depends on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources.
[0081] This application discloses a second node for wireless communication, characterized in that it comprises:
[0082] The second transmitter transmits a first information block, which indicates at least one of L frequency domain resources, where L is a positive integer greater than 1.
[0083] The second receiver receives the first report;
[0084] The first report includes channel information on at least one sub-band of each of the L frequency domain resources; the size of each sub-band of the L frequency domain resources depends on the size of a first sub-band; and the size of the first sub-band depends on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources.

[0086] - Utilize spectrum resources more flexibly and effectively;
[0087] -Supports simultaneous reporting of channel information on multiple carriers within a single cell or carriers from different cells;
[0088] - Reduced reporting overhead and improved spectrum efficiency;
[0089] - Reduce terminal power consumption;
[0090] - Improve the flexibility of resource allocation or increase resource utilization.
[0091] This application discloses a method for a first node in wireless communication, characterized by comprising:
[0092] Receive a first information block, the first information block indicating at least one of L frequency domain resources, where L is a positive integer greater than 1;
[0093] Send the first report;
[0094] The first report includes channel information on at least one sub-band of each of the L frequency domain resources; the size of each sub-band of the L frequency domain resources depends on the size of the first sub-band; and the two candidates for the size of the first sub-band depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources.
[0095] It should be noted that receiving (sending) information is a common expression in this field, meaning that the content of the received (sent) information is expressed in a way that is consistent with the general expression in this field.
[0096] As an example, the problem this application aims to solve includes: how to determine the subband size to be used when channel information of multiple frequency domain resources is reported together.
[0097] Generally speaking, the size of each subband depends on the same subband size. Therefore, when reporting channel information of multiple frequency domain resources together, if the subband size is determined according to the total bandwidth in 5G, especially when the total bandwidth of the multiple frequency domain resources is very large, a large subband size may be obtained. As a result, the reporting accuracy on at least some frequency domain resources is insufficient. Therefore, how to determine the appropriate subband size is a key problem that needs to be solved.
[0098] One advantage of the above method is that the size of each subband on different frequency domain resources depends on the same subband size, which simplifies the design and reduces the implementation complexity.
[0099] Another advantage of the above method is that, unlike in 5G where all candidates for subband size are determined based on the total bandwidth, the two candidates for subband size in the above method depend on the bandwidth of different frequency domain resources. This method provides the possibility for flexible subband size and is more suitable for flexible spectrum resources.
[0100] As one example, the first node is a user equipment.
[0101] As an example, the first node is a relay node.
[0102] As one example, the first node is a terminal.
[0103] As one example, the terminal is a user equipment.
[0104] According to one aspect of this application, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers respectively, and the L carriers belong to the same cell.
[0105] The above method supports multi-carrier single-cell (or single-cell multi-carrier) scenarios, that is, multiple carriers correspond to the same cell, which can make more effective use of spectrum resources.
[0106] According to one aspect of this application, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers, and the L carriers belong to L cells.
[0107] The above method supports the simultaneous reporting of channel information on carriers of different cells, which greatly reduces reporting overhead, improves spectrum efficiency, and reduces terminal power consumption.
[0108] According to one aspect of this application, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers respectively, and the L carriers belong to the same cell; the L carriers each include resources in L resource grids for the same subcarrier interval.
[0109] In the above method, multiple carriers correspond to their respective resource grids, improving the flexibility of resource allocation.
[0110] According to one aspect of this application, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers, and the L carriers belong to the same cell; the L carriers each include different resources in the same resource grid for a subcarrier interval.
[0111] The above method supports multiple carriers sharing resources in the same resource grid, improving resource utilization while reducing implementation complexity.
[0112] According to one aspect of this application, the plurality of bandwidth ranges correspond to a plurality of sub-band sizes, the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources belongs to two bandwidth ranges in the plurality of bandwidth ranges, and the two candidates for the first sub-band size are two sub-band sizes corresponding to the two bandwidth ranges respectively.
[0113] In the above method, the subband size depends on the bandwidth range, which effectively balances reporting accuracy and reporting overhead.
[0114] According to one aspect of this application, it is characterized by comprising:
[0115] Receive the second information block;
[0116] The second information block indicates the size of the first sub-band from a plurality of candidates, the plurality of candidates depending on the bandwidth of each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0117] In the above method, the sub-band size is configurable, which improves flexibility.
[0118] According to one aspect of this application, the plurality of bandwidth ranges respectively correspond to a plurality of sub-band large groups, each of the plurality of sub-band large groups including one or more sub-band sizes; the bandwidth ranges to which the respective bandwidths of the L frequency domain resources belong respectively correspond to L sub-band large groups, each of the L sub-band large groups being one of the plurality of sub-band large groups; the first sub-band size is one of a plurality of candidates, the plurality of candidates including the union of the L sub-band size groups.
[0119] One advantage of the above method is that the candidate range of subband sizes includes candidates corresponding to the bandwidths of different frequency domain resources, which provides the possibility of flexible subband sizes and is more suitable for flexible spectrum resources.
[0120] Another advantage of the above method is that the sender of the second information block can flexibly choose which candidate to use as the subband size. For example, choosing the candidate corresponding to the minimum bandwidth can ensure the reporting accuracy of the frequency resources with the minimum bandwidth, or choosing the candidate corresponding to the maximum bandwidth can prioritize ensuring the reporting accuracy of the frequency resources with the maximum bandwidth, or choosing the candidate corresponding to a specific frequency domain resource can prioritize ensuring the reporting accuracy of the specific frequency resource, or choosing a candidate that takes into account the trade-off between reporting overhead and reporting accuracy.
[0121] According to one aspect of this application, the union of the L subband size groups refers to all distinct subband sizes within the L subband size groups.
[0122] One advantage of the above method is that the multiple candidates for subband size are different from each other, which can reduce indication overhead.
[0123] According to one aspect of this application, the L sub-bands are the first sub-bands of the L frequency domain resources, and the size of the L sub-bands depends on the starting position of the L frequency domain resources.
[0124] According to one aspect of this application, the L last sub-bands are the last sub-bands of the L frequency domain resources, and the size of the L last sub-bands depends on the starting position and bandwidth of each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0125] According to one aspect of this application, the first frequency domain resource is any one of the L frequency domain resources that includes at least three sub-bands, and the size of the non-first and non-last sub-band in the first frequency domain resource is the size of the first sub-band.
[0126] According to one aspect of this application, the first report includes a first CQI, the first CQI being conditional on the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0127] The above method allows a transport block to occupy resources in each of multiple frequency domain resources, improving peak rate, scheduling flexibility, and enabling more efficient use of spectrum resources.
[0128] This application discloses a method for a second node in wireless communication, characterized by comprising:
[0129] Send a first information block, the first information block indicating at least one of L frequency domain resources, where L is a positive integer greater than 1;
[0130] Receive the first report;
[0131] The first report includes channel information on at least one sub-band of each of the L frequency domain resources; the size of each sub-band of the L frequency domain resources depends on the size of the first sub-band; and the two candidates for the size of the first sub-band depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources.

[0193] Example 1A
[0194] Example 1A illustrates a flowchart of a first information block and a first report according to an embodiment of this application, as shown in Figure 1A. In 100A shown in Figure 1A, each block represents a step.
[0195] In Example 1A, the first node receives a first information block in step 101A and sends a first report in step 102A; wherein the first information block indicates at least one of L frequency domain resources, where L is a positive integer greater than 1; the first report includes channel information on at least one subband of each of the L frequency domain resources; the size of each subband of the L frequency domain resources depends on the size of a first subband; the size of the first subband depends on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources.
[0196] As an example, L equals 2.
[0197] As an example, L is greater than 2.
[0198] As an example, at least two of the L frequency domain resources are orthogonal.
[0199] As an example, at least two of the L frequency domain resources are not contiguous.
[0200] As an example, the L frequency domain resources are orthogonal.
[0201] As an example, any two frequency domain resources among the L frequency domain resources are not contiguous.
[0202] As an example, each of the L frequency domain resources includes one or more consecutive subbands.
[0203] Typically, a subband consists of one or more resource blocks (RBs).
[0204] As an example, each of the L frequency domain resources includes one or more consecutive resource blocks, the L frequency domain resources are orthogonal, any two frequency domain resources are not consecutive, the bandwidth of each frequency domain resource is the total number of resource blocks included in the frequency domain resource, and the size of the first sub-band is a positive integer.
[0205] As an example, the channel information on a sub-band includes the channel matrix on the sub-band, or the feature vector of the channel matrix on the sub-band.
[0206] As an example, the channel information on a sub-band is generated by reasoning from the channel matrix on the sub-band or the eigenvectors of the channel matrix on the sub-band.
[0207] In the above implementation, the structure and parameters of the AI model used for inference are known to the first node. For example, they may be obtained by downloading from a network device, or they may be specified in a standard, or they may be implementation-related to the first node (i.e., determined by the hardware vendor of the first node).
[0208] Typical AI model structures include Transformer structures, RNNs (Recurrent Neural Networks), CNNs (Conventional Neural Networks), and hybrid models composed of multiple models.
[0209] As an example, the channel information on a subband includes at least one of the precoding-related information on the subband and the CQI (Channel Quality Indicator) on the subband.
[0210] As an example, the precoding-related information on the subband indicates the precoding matrix on the subband, or at least one parameter in the precoding matrix on the subband.
[0211] As one embodiment, the precoding-related information on the subband includes an index in the codebook.
[0212] As an example, the CQI (Channel Quality Indicator) on the subband is differential CQI.
[0213] The codebook mentioned above may correspond to a type I codebook, a type II codebook, an enhanced type II codebook, or a codebook indicated by a base station, etc.
[0214] Typically, the first report includes one or more of the following: RS resource indication, RI (rank indicator), precoding related information, and CQI (channel quality indicator).
[0215] As an example, the precoding-related information includes PMI (precoding matrix indicator).
[0216] As one embodiment, the precoding-related information indicates a precoding matrix or at least one parameter in the precoding matrix, or the precoding-related information includes at least one index in a codebook.
[0217] As an example, in step 101A, the first node 100A measures at least one RS (Reference Signal) resource on each of the L frequency domain resources;
[0218] Wherein, the channel information on at least one sub-band of any of the L frequency domain resources depends on the measurement on any of the frequency domain resources; the measurement includes at least one of channel measurement and interference measurement.
[0219] As an example, the at least one RS resource includes a CSI-RS (Channel State Information Reference Signal) resource or an SSB (SS / PBCH block, Synchronization Signal Physical Broadcast Channel Block).
[0220] As an example, for each of the at least one RS resources, the occupied subcarriers or resource blocks are distributed across each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0221] In the above method, at least two of the L frequency domain resources are discontinuous. By allowing one RS resource to occupy a discontinuous resource block, the configuration of RS resources is simplified, it has good compatibility with configuration signaling, and it also saves signaling overhead.
[0222] As an example, for each of the at least one RS resource, the occupied subcarriers or resource blocks are distributed within a frequency domain resource. The first reported configuration is that the L frequency domain resources respectively indicate RS resources.
[0223] As an example, the first report includes channel information on at least one subband of each of the L frequency domain resources, as indicated by the configuration of the first report.
[0224] As an example, the configuration reported first indicates at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0225] As an example, for each of the L frequency domain resources, the configuration of the first report indicates at least one sub-band from all the sub-bands it includes, and the channel information for the at least one sub-band is reported in the first report.
[0226] Typically, a resource block occupies multiple subcarriers in the frequency domain and one or more symbols in the time domain.
[0227] As an example, the symbol is a single-carrier symbol.
[0228] As an example, the symbol is a multi-carrier symbol.
[0229] As an example, the symbol is an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) symbol.
[0230] As an example, the symbols are subjected to transformation precoding.
[0231] As an example, the symbols are generated by transform precoding followed by IFFT (Inverse Fast Fourier Transform).
[0232] As an example, the symbol is a DFT-S-OFDM (Discrete Fourier Transform Spread OFDM) symbol.
[0233] As an example, the symbol is either SC-FDMA (Single Carrier-Frequency Division Multiple Access) or FBMC (Filter Bank Multi Carrier).
[0234] Typically, the size of each subband in the L frequency domain resources is the size of the first subband or is calculated based on the size of the first subband.
[0235] Typically, each subband in the L frequency domain resources includes one resource block or a positive integer number of consecutive resource blocks, and the size of each subband in the L frequency domain resources is the total number of resource blocks included in the subband, and the size of the first subband is a positive integer.
[0236] Typically, at least two of the L frequency domain resources have different bandwidths.
[0237] Typically, each of the L frequency domain resources comprises one or more consecutive resource blocks, and the bandwidth of each of the L frequency domain resources is the total number of resource blocks included in the frequency domain resource.
[0238] As an example, the determination of the size of the first sub-band depends on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources.
[0239] As an example, the candidate for the first sub-band size depends on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources.

[0254] In the above implementation, the structure and parameters of the AI model used for inference are known to the first node. For example, they may be obtained by downloading from a network device, or they may be specified in a standard, or they may be implementation-related to the first node (i.e., determined by the hardware vendor of the first node).
[0255] Typical AI model structures include Transformer architecture, RNN (Recurrent Neural Network), CNN (Conventional Neural Network), etc., or hybrid models composed of multiple models.

[0266] As an example, the at least one RS resource includes a CSI-RS (Channel State Information Reference Signal) resource or an SSB (SS / PBCH block, Synchronization Signal Physical Broadcast Channel Block).
[0267] As an example, for each of the at least one RS resources, the occupied subcarriers or resource blocks are distributed across each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0268] In the above method, at least two of the L frequency domain resources are discontinuous. By allowing one RS resource to occupy a discontinuous resource block, the configuration of RS resources is simplified, it has good compatibility with configuration signaling, and it also saves signaling overhead.
[0269] As an example, for each of the at least one RS resource, the occupied subcarriers or resource blocks are distributed within a frequency domain resource. The first reported configuration is that the L frequency domain resources respectively indicate RS resources.

[0280] As an example, the symbol is either SC-FDMA (Single Carrier-Frequency Division Multiple Access) or FBMC (Filter Bank Multi Carrier).
[0281] Typically, the size of each subband in the L frequency domain resources is the size of the first subband or is calculated based on the size of the first subband.
[0282] Typically, each subband in the L frequency domain resources includes a resource block or a positive integer number of consecutive resource blocks. The size of each subband in the L frequency domain resources is the total number of resource blocks included in the subband. [0285] Typically, the two candidates for the first subband size are not the same.
[0286] As an example, the two candidates of the first sub-band size respectively depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources among the L frequency domain resources, including: the two candidates of the first sub-band size respectively depend only on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources among the L frequency domain resources.

[0289] As an example, the first sub-band size is one of a plurality of candidates, the plurality of candidates depending on the bandwidth of each of the L frequency domain resources, and two of the plurality of candidates respectively depending on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources.
[0290] As an example, the two candidates for the first sub-band size respectively depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources among the L frequency domain resources, including: the first sub-band size is one of a plurality of candidates, and the two candidates among the plurality of candidates respectively depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources among the L frequency domain resources.

[0318] Example 3
[0319] Example 3 illustrates a schematic diagram of an embodiment of a wireless protocol architecture for the user plane and control plane according to an embodiment of this application, as shown in Figure 3.
[0320] Example 3 illustrates a schematic diagram of an embodiment of a wireless protocol architecture for a user plane and control plane according to this application, as shown in Figure 3. Figure 3 is a schematic diagram illustrating an embodiment of a radio protocol architecture for a user plane 350 and a control plane 300. Figure 3 shows the radio protocol architecture for the control plane 300 between a first communication node device (UE, gNB, or RSU in V2X) and a second communication node device (gNB, UE, or RSU in V2X), or between two UEs, using three layers: Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3. Layer 1 (L1 layer) is the lowest layer and implements various PHY (physical layer) signal processing functions. Layer 1 will be referred to herein as PHY 301. Layer 2 (L2 layer) 305 is above PHY 301 and is responsible for the link between the first communication node device and the second communication node device, or between two UEs. Layer L2 305 includes a MAC (Medium Access Control) sublayer 302, an RLC (Radio Link Control) sublayer 303, and a PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol) sublayer 304, which terminate at the second communication node device. The PDCP sublayer 304 provides multiplexing between different radio bearers and logical channels. It also provides security through encrypted data packets and supports cross-cell mobility between the second communication node devices and the first communication node device. The RLC sublayer 303 provides upper-layer packet segmentation and reassembly, retransmission of lost packets, and packet reordering to compensate for out-of-order reception due to HARQ. The MAC sublayer 302 provides multiplexing between logical and transport channels. It is also responsible for allocating various radio resources (e.g., resource blocks) within a cell among the first communication node devices. Furthermore, the MAC sublayer 302 handles HARQ operations. In the control plane 300, the Radio Resource Control (RRC) sublayer 306 of Layer 3 (L3) is responsible for acquiring radio resources (i.e., radio bearers) and configuring the lower layers using RRC signaling between the second and first communication node devices. The user plane 350's radio protocol architecture includes Layer 1 (L1) and Layer 2 (L2). The radio protocol architecture for the first and second communication node devices in the user plane 350 is largely the same as the corresponding layers and sublayers in the control plane 300 for Physical Layer 351, PDCP sublayer 354 in L2 Layer 355, RLC sublayer 353 in L2 Layer 355, and MAC sublayer 352 in L2 Layer 355. However, PDCP sublayer 354 also provides header compression for upper layer data packets to reduce radio transmission overhead.The L2 layer 355 in the user plane 350 also includes an SDAP (Service Data Adaptation Protocol) sublayer 356, which is responsible for mapping between QoS streams and data radio bearers (DRBs) to support service diversity. Although not illustrated, the first communication node device may have several upper layers above the L2 layer 355, including a network layer (e.g., IP layer) terminating at the P-GW on the network side and an application layer terminating at the other end of the connection (e.g., a remote UE, server, etc.).
[0321] As an example, the wireless protocol architecture in Figure 3 is applicable to the first node.
[0322] As an example, the wireless protocol architecture in Figure 3 is applicable to the second node.
[0323] As an example, the higher layer mentioned in this application refers to the layer above the physical layer.
[0324] As an example, the first information block is generated in the RRC sublayer 306.
[0325] As an example, the first information block is generated in the MAC sublayer 302 or the MAC sublayer 352.
[0326] As an example, the first information block is generated in the PHY301 or the PHY351.
[0327] As an example, the second information block is generated in the RRC sublayer 306.
[0328] As an example, the second information block is generated in the MAC sublayer 302 or the MAC sublayer 352.
[0329] As an example, the second information block is generated in the PHY301 or the PHY351.
[0330] As an example, the configuration reported first is generated in the RRC sublayer 306.
[0331] As an example, the first report is generated in the PHY301 or the PHY351.

[0333] Example 4 illustrates a schematic diagram of a first communication device and a second communication device according to an embodiment of this application, as shown in Figure 4. Figure 4 is a block diagram of a first communication device 410 and a second communication device 450 communicating with each other in an access network.
[0334] The first communication device 410 includes a controller / processor 475, a memory 476, a receiver processor 470, a transmitter processor 416, a multi-antenna receiver processor 472, a multi-antenna transmitter processor 471, a transmitter / receiver 418, and an antenna 420.
[0335] The second communication device 450 includes a controller / processor 459, a memory 460, a data source 467, a transmitting processor 468, a receiving processor 456, a multi-antenna transmitting processor 457, a multi-antenna receiving processor 458, a transmitter / receiver 454, and an antenna 452.
[0336] In the transmission from the first communication device 410 to the second communication device 450, at the first communication device 410, upper-layer data packets from the core network are provided to the controller / processor 475. The controller / processor 475 implements L2 layer functionality. In DL (Downlink), the controller / processor 475 provides header compression, encryption, packet segmentation and reordering, multiplexing between logical and transport channels, and radio resource allocation to the second communication device 450 based on various priority metrics. The controller / processor 475 is also responsible for HARQ operation, retransmission of lost packets, and signaling to the second communication device 450. The transmit processor 416 and the multi-antenna transmit processor 471 implement various signal processing functions for L1 layer (i.e., physical layer). Transmit processor 416 performs encoding and interleaving to facilitate forward error correction (FEC) at the second communication device 450, and constellation mapping based on various modulation schemes (e.g., binary phase shift keying (BPSK), quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK), M-phase shift keying (M-PSK), and M-quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM). Multi-antenna transmit processor 471 performs digital spatial precoding on the encoded and modulated symbols, including codebook-based precoding and non-codebook-based precoding, and beamforming processing, generating one or more parallel... The transmit processor 416 then maps each parallel stream to a subcarrier, multiplexes the modulated symbols with a reference signal (e.g., a pilot) in the time and / or frequency domains, and then uses an inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) to generate a physical channel carrying the time-domain multicarrier symbol stream. The multi-antenna transmit processor 471 then performs transmit analog precoding / beamforming operations on the time-domain multicarrier symbol stream. Each transmitter 418 converts the baseband multicarrier symbol stream provided by the multi-antenna transmit processor 471 into an RF stream, which is then provided to a different antenna 420.
[0337] In the transmission from the first communication device 410 to the second communication device 450, at the second communication device 450, each receiver 454 receives a signal through its corresponding antenna 452. Each receiver 454 recovers the information modulated onto the radio frequency carrier and converts the radio frequency stream into a baseband multicarrier symbol stream, which is then provided to the receiver processor 456. The receiver processor 456 and the multi-antenna receiver processor 458 implement various signal processing functions of the L1 layer. The multi-antenna receiver processor 458 performs receive analog precoding / beamforming operations on the baseband multicarrier symbol stream from the receiver 454. The receiver processor 456 uses a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to convert the baseband multicarrier symbol stream after the receive analog precoding / beamforming operations from the time domain to the frequency domain. In the frequency domain, the physical layer data signal and the reference signal are demultiplexed by the receiver processor 456, where the reference signal is used for channel estimation, and the data signal is recovered in the multi-antenna receiver processor 458 after multi-antenna detection to recover any parallel stream destined for the second communication device 450. Symbols on each parallel stream are demodulated and recovered in the receive processor 456, generating soft decisions. The receive processor 456 then decodes and deinterleaves the soft decisions to recover the upper-layer data and control signals transmitted over the physical channel by the first communication device 410. The upper-layer data and control signals are then provided to the controller / processor 459. The controller / processor 459 implements the functions of Layer 2 (L2). The controller / processor 459 may be associated with a memory 460 storing program code and data. The memory 460 may be referred to as computer-readable media. In the DL (Layered Logic), the controller / processor 459 provides multiplexing, packet reassembly, decryption, header decompression, and control signal processing between the transmission and logical channels to recover upper-layer packets from the core network. The upper-layer packets are then provided to all protocol layers above Layer 2. Various control signals may also be provided to Layer 3 (L3) for L3 processing. The controller / processor 459 is also responsible for error detection using ACK and / or NACK protocols to support HARQ operation.
[0338] In the transmission from the second communication device 450 to the first communication device 410, at the second communication device 450, a data source 467 is used to provide upper-layer data packets to the controller / processor 459. The data source 467 represents all protocol layers above the L2 layer. Similar to the transmission functions at the first communication device 410 described in the DL, the controller / processor 459 implements header compression, encryption, packet segmentation and reordering, and multiplexing between logical and transport channels based on the radio resource allocation of the first communication device 410, implementing L2 layer functions for the user plane and control plane. The controller / processor 459 is also responsible for HARQ operations, retransmission of lost packets, and signaling to the first communication device 410. Transmit processor 468 performs modulation mapping and channel coding processing, while multi-antenna transmit processor 457 performs digital multi-antenna spatial precoding, including codebook-based and non-codebook-based precoding, and beamforming processing. Subsequently, transmit processor 468 modulates the generated parallel stream into a multi-carrier / single-carrier symbol stream. After analog precoding / beamforming operations in multi-antenna transmit processor 457, the stream is provided to different antennas 452 via transmitter 454. Each transmitter 454 first converts the baseband symbol stream provided by multi-antenna transmit processor 457 into a radio frequency symbol stream before providing it to antenna 452.
[0339] In the transmission from the second communication device 450 to the first communication device 410, the function at the first communication device 410 is similar to the receiving function at the second communication device 450 described in the transmission from the first communication device 410 to the second communication device 450. Each receiver 418 receives radio frequency signals through its corresponding antenna 420, converts the received radio frequency signals into baseband signals, and provides the baseband signals to the multi-antenna receiving processor 472 and the receiving processor 470. The receiving processor 470 and the multi-antenna receiving processor 472 jointly implement the L1 layer functions. The controller / processor 475 implements the L2 layer functions. The controller / processor 475 may be associated with a memory 476 that stores program code and data. The memory 476 may be referred to as computer-readable media. The controller / processor 475 provides multiplexing, packet reassembly, decryption, header decompression, and control signal processing between the transmission and logical channels to recover upper-layer data packets from the second communication device 450. The upper-layer data packets from the controller / processor 475 may be provided to the core network. The controller / processor 475 is also responsible for error detection using ACK and / or NACK protocols to support HARQ operation.

[0596] Examples 7A-7B illustrate schematic diagrams of L carriers according to an embodiment of this application, as shown in Figures 7A-7B respectively. In Figures 7A-7B, the horizontal axis represents frequency, each thick-lined rectangle represents a resource grid, and the thin-lined rectangles within each resource grid represent subcarriers for a subcarrier interval.
[0597] In Example 7A, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers, and the L carriers belong to the same cell; the L carriers each include resources in L resource grids for the same subcarrier interval.
[0598] In Figure 7A, the L carriers each include resources in the L resource grids.
[0599] As one example, the frequency positions of the subcarriers in the L resource grids for the same subcarrier spacing depend on L reference frequencies.
[0600] In the above embodiments, L carriers correspond to L resource grids, and each of the L resource grids has its own reference frequency, thereby improving the flexibility of resource allocation.
[0601] As an example, the frequency positions of the subcarriers in the L resource grids for the same subcarrier spacing depend on the same reference frequency.

[0607] As one embodiment, the resources on the L carriers, each comprising a resource grid for the same subcarrier interval, include: the L resource grids for the same subcarrier interval are respectively distributed on the L carriers.
[0608] As one embodiment, the resources on the L carriers respectively include the resources in the L resource grids for the same subcarrier interval: the L resource grids for the same subcarrier interval respectively include the resources on the L carriers.
[0609] In Example 7B, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers, and the L carriers belong to the same cell; the L carriers each include different resources in the same resource grid for a subcarrier interval.
[0610] In Figure 7B, the same resource grid is distributed across the L carriers.
[0611] As an example, the frequency position of the subcarriers in the same resource grid for a subcarrier spacing depends on a reference frequency.
[0612] As an example, L carriers share the same resource grid, reducing resource fragmentation and improving resource utilization.
[0613] The following provides a specific implementation of "the frequency position of a subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval depends on a reference frequency" in Examples 7A-7B:
[0614] As one example, the frequency position of a subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval depends on a reference frequency, including: the frequency position of a subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval is related to a reference frequency.

[0617] As one embodiment, the frequency position of a subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval depending on a reference frequency includes: the frequency position of a boundary subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval depending on a reference frequency.
[0618] As an example, the frequency position of a subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval depending on a reference frequency includes: the absolute value of the center frequency (or boundary frequency) in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval depending on a reference frequency.
[0619] As one embodiment, the frequency position of a subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval depending on a reference frequency includes: the frequency position of a subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval is referenced to a reference frequency.
[0620] As an example, the frequency position of a subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval depends on a reference frequency, including: the frequency position of the boundary subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval is the index of the common resource block to which the boundary subcarrier belongs, and the reference frequency is the frequency (center frequency or lower boundary frequency) of the 0th subcarrier (or the subcarrier with index equal to 0) in the lowest indexed common resource block.
[0621] As an example, the frequency position of a subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval depends on a reference frequency, including: the reference frequency being the frequency (center frequency or lower boundary frequency) of the 0th subcarrier (or the subcarrier with index equal to 0) in the lowest indexed common resource block; and the frequency position of the boundary subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval being the index of the common resource block to which the boundary subcarrier belongs and the index of the boundary subcarrier within its respective common resource block.
[0622] As an example, the frequency position of a subcarrier in a resource grid for a subcarrier interval depending on a reference frequency includes: there is a corresponding frequency offset between the boundary subcarrier of the resource grid for a subcarrier interval and the reference frequency.
[0623] As a supplementary embodiment of the above embodiments, the corresponding frequency offset is configured or predefined.

[0631] As an example, the reference frequency is a reference frequency used to configure the resource grid.
[0632] As an example, the reference frequency can be within or outside the configured resource grid.
[0633] As an example, the reference frequency is the common reference point of the resource block grid.

[0638] Examples 8A-8B
[0639] Examples 8A-8B illustrate schematic diagrams of a first subband size depending on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources according to an embodiment of the present application; as shown in Figures 8A-8B respectively.
[0640] In Example 8A, multiple bandwidth ranges correspond to multiple sub-band sizes, and the first sub-band size is a sub-band size corresponding to the bandwidth range to which the bandwidth of only one frequency domain resource in the L frequency domain resources belongs.
[0641] In Figure 8A, the plurality of bandwidth ranges are bandwidth range #1, ..., bandwidth range #Q; the values #1, ..., and #Q are the sub-band sizes corresponding to bandwidth range #1, ..., bandwidth range #Q.
[0642] In embodiment 8B, the first node in this application receives a second information block; wherein the second information block indicates the first subband size from a first subband big group, the first subband big group including multiple subband sizes, the first subband big group depending on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources.
[0643] As an example, the first subband big group is which of the plurality of subband big groups depends on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources.

[0645] Examples 8C-8D
[0646] Examples 8C-8D illustrate schematic diagrams of the first sub-band size according to an embodiment of this application, as shown in Figures 8C-8D respectively.
[0647] In embodiment 8C, multiple bandwidth ranges correspond to multiple sub-band sizes, and the bandwidths of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources belong to two bandwidth ranges in the multiple bandwidth ranges respectively. The two candidates for the first sub-band size are the two sub-band sizes corresponding to the two bandwidth ranges respectively.
[0648] In Figure 8C, the plurality of bandwidth ranges are bandwidth ranges #1, ..., bandwidth range #Q; the values #1, ..., #Q are the sub-band sizes corresponding to bandwidth ranges #1, ..., bandwidth range #Q. The bandwidth of frequency domain resource #1 belongs to bandwidth range #i, the bandwidth of frequency domain resource #1 belongs to bandwidth range #j, and i and j are different. The two candidates for the first sub-band size are the values #i and #j.
[0649] Typically, the subband size is a positive integer.
[0650] In the above method, the one-to-one correspondence between the plurality of bandwidth ranges and the plurality of sub-band sizes is either standard-defined, configurable, or reported by the first node.
[0651] As an example, multiple bandwidth ranges correspond to multiple sub-band sizes, and two of the multiple candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources; the first sub-band size is a default candidate among the multiple candidates.
[0652] As an example, the first sub-band size is one of a plurality of candidates, and two of the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources; the first sub-band size is the first candidate among the plurality of candidates.
[0653] As an example, the first sub-band size is one of a plurality of candidates, and two of the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of two frequency domain resources of the L frequency domain resources respectively; the first sub-band size is configurable among the plurality of candidates.
[0654] As an example, the first sub-band size is one of a plurality of candidates, and two of the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources; the first sub-band size is the minimum value among the plurality of candidates.
[0655] As an example, the first sub-band size is one of a plurality of candidates, and two of the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources; the first sub-band size is the maximum value among the plurality of candidates.
[0656] As an example, multiple bandwidth ranges correspond to multiple sub-band sizes, the multiple candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of L frequency domain resources, and two candidates among the multiple candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources among the L frequency domain resources; the first sub-band size is a default candidate among the multiple candidates.
[0657] As an example, the first sub-band size is one of a plurality of candidates, the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of L frequency domain resources, and two of the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources respectively; the first sub-band size is the first candidate among the plurality of candidates.
[0658] As an example, the first sub-band size is one of a plurality of candidates, the plurality of candidates depending on the bandwidth of each of L frequency domain resources, and two candidates of the plurality of candidates respectively depending on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources of the L frequency domain resources; the first sub-band size is configurable for which of the plurality of candidates is available.
[0659] As an example, the first sub-band size is one of a plurality of candidates, the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of L frequency domain resources, and two of the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources respectively; the first sub-band size is the minimum value among the plurality of candidates.
[0660] As an example, the first sub-band size is one of a plurality of candidates, the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of L frequency domain resources, and two of the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources respectively; the first sub-band size is the maximum value among the plurality of candidates.
[0661] In embodiment 8D, the first node in this application receives a second information block; wherein the second information block indicates the size of the first sub-band from a plurality of candidates, the plurality of candidates depending on the bandwidth of each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0662] In Figure 8D, the plurality of candidates are candidate #1, ..., candidate #S; the L frequency domain resources are frequency domain resource #1, ..., frequency domain resource #L. Each of the plurality of candidates depends on the bandwidth of one of the L frequency domain resources.
[0663] In the above method, two of the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of the same frequency domain resource among the L frequency domain resources, or any two of the plurality of candidates depend on the bandwidth of different frequency domain resources among the L frequency domain resources.
[0664] As an example, the bandwidth of each of the plurality of candidates depending on the L frequency domain resources includes: at least two candidates among the plurality of candidates depending on the bandwidth of different frequency domain resources among the L frequency domain resources.

[0678] In embodiment 9B, multiple bandwidth ranges correspond to multiple sub-band large groups, and each of the multiple sub-band large groups includes one or more sub-band sizes; the bandwidth ranges to which the bandwidths of the L frequency domain resources belong respectively correspond to L sub-band large groups, and each of the L sub-band large groups is one of the multiple sub-band large groups; the first sub-band size is one of multiple candidates, and the multiple candidates include the union of the L sub-band size groups.
[0679] In Figure 9B, the multiple bandwidth ranges are bandwidth range #1, ..., bandwidth range #Q; subband size groups #1, ..., subband size groups #Q correspond to bandwidth ranges #1, ..., bandwidth range #Q respectively. In case A, L = 2, and the bandwidths of the two frequency domain resources belong to different bandwidth ranges. In case B, L = 3, and the bandwidths of the two frequency domain resources belong to the same bandwidth range.
[0680] In Figure 9B, if there are identical values among {value #1_1, value #1_2, value #2_1, value #2_2}, the multiple candidates can also include only the distinct values among them. For example, if {value #1_1, value #1_2, value #2_1, value #2_2} = {2, 4, 4, 8}, then the multiple candidates could be {2, 4, 8}. The advantages include reduced indication overhead.
[0681] Typically, the subband size is a positive integer.
[0682] In the above method, the one-to-one correspondence between the plurality of bandwidth ranges and the plurality of subband groups is either standard-defined, configurable, or reported by the first node.
[0683] As an example, the number of subband sizes in the union of the L subband size groups is equal to or less than the sum of the number of subband sizes included in each of the L subband size groups.
[0684] As an example, the union of the L subband size groups refers to each subband size in each subband size group within the L subband size groups.
[0685] As an example, the union of the L subband size groups refers to all the distinct subband sizes within the L subband size groups.
[0686] In the above method, the same sub-band size in the L sub-band size groups appears only once in the union of the L sub-band size groups, that is, the number of sub-band sizes in the union of the L sub-band size groups can be less than the sum of the number of sub-band sizes included in each of the L sub-band size groups. The advantages include reduced indication overhead.
[0687] As one embodiment, each of the plurality of subband groups includes the same number of subbands of the same size.
[0688] As one embodiment, the two subband groups in the plurality of subband groups each include a different number of subband sizes.
[0689] Examples 10A-10C
[0690] Examples 10A-10C illustrate schematic diagrams showing how the size of each sub-band in L frequency domain resources according to an embodiment of this application depends on the size of a first sub-band, as shown in Figures 10A-10C. Figures 10A-10C illustrate L=2, the first sub-band size is 2, and the bandwidth of each of the L frequency domain resources is the total number of resource blocks included in the frequency domain resource. In Figures 10A-10C, in cases A and B, the horizontal axis represents frequency, and each wireframe rectangle represents a resource block; in case A, the starting positions of the L frequency domain resources are respectively relative to L reference resource blocks; in case B, the starting positions of the L frequency domain resources are relative to the same reference resource block.
[0691] In Example 10A, the L sub-bands are the first sub-bands of the L frequency domain resources, and the size of the L sub-bands depends on the starting position of the L frequency domain resources.
[0692] Typically, the first subband indicates the subband that includes the lowest indexed resource block.
[0693] As an example, the starting positions of the L frequency domain resources are respectively relative to the L reference resource blocks, and the starting position of any frequency domain resource among the L frequency domain resources is the index of the starting resource block of the frequency domain resource minus the index of the corresponding reference resource block.
[0694] As an example, the starting positions of the L frequency domain resources are relative to the same reference resource block, and the starting position of each frequency domain resource is the index of the starting resource block of the frequency domain resource minus the index of the same reference resource block.
[0695] As an example, the starting positions of the L frequency domain resources are respectively relative to the L reference resource blocks, and the starting position of any frequency domain resource among the L frequency domain resources is the number of resource blocks between the starting resource block of the frequency domain resource and the corresponding reference resource block.
[0696] As an example, the starting positions of the L frequency domain resources are relative to the same reference resource block, and the starting position of each frequency domain resource is the number of resource blocks between the starting resource block of the frequency domain resource and the same reference resource block.
[0697] As an example, the starting positions of the L frequency domain resources are the indices of the starting common resource blocks of the L frequency domain resources.
[0698] As one embodiment, the starting positions of the L frequency domain resources are respectively the indices of the starting common resource blocks of the L frequency domain resources; wherein,
[0699] The starting common resource blocks of the L frequency domain resources are respectively relative to the L 0 common resource blocks;
[0700] or,
[0701] The starting common resource blocks of the L frequency domain resources are relative to the same common resource block 0.
[0702] As an example, the reference resource block is common resource block 0 (CRB).
[0703] As an example, the starting positions of the L frequency domain resources are respectively relative to L reference resource blocks, wherein,
[0704] The L reference resource blocks are the starting resource blocks of the L frequency domain resources;
[0705] or,
[0706] The L reference resource blocks are the 0th common resource blocks corresponding to the L frequency domain resources, respectively.
[0707] As an example, the starting positions of the L frequency domain resources are relative to the same reference resource block, which is the 0th common resource block.
[0708] As an example, the reference resource block is configurable or standard-defined.
[0709] As an example, the starting resource block of a frequency domain resource is a common resource block S, where S is 0 or a positive integer, and the starting position of the frequency domain resource is S.
[0710] As an example, the starting position of a frequency domain resource is the index of the starting resource block of the frequency domain resource minus the index of the corresponding reference resource block.
[0711] As an example, the starting position of a frequency domain resource is the number of resource blocks between the starting resource block of the frequency domain resource and the corresponding reference resource block.
[0712] As an example, the size of each of the L sub-bands depends on the size of the first sub-band and on the starting position of each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0713] As an example, the size of the first sub-band of any of the L frequency domain resources is S-(P mod S), where S is the size of the first sub-band and P is the starting position of the frequency domain resource.
[0714] As an example, different starting position ranges correspond to different sub-band sizes, and the sizes of the L sub-bands are respectively the sub-band sizes corresponding to the starting position ranges to which the starting positions of the L frequency domain resources belong.
[0715] In Example 10B, the L last sub-bands are the last sub-bands of the L frequency domain resources, and the size of the L last sub-bands depends on the starting position and bandwidth of the L frequency domain resources.
[0716] Typically, the last subband indicator includes the subband of the resource block with the highest index.
[0717] As an example, the size of each of the L final sub-bands depends on the size of the first sub-band, and also depends on the starting position and bandwidth of each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0718] As an example, the size of the last sub-band of any of the L frequency domain resources is S, where (P+B)mod S is 0, S is the size of the first sub-band, and P and B are the starting position and bandwidth of the frequency domain resource, respectively.
[0719] or,
[0720] The size of the last sub-band of any of the L frequency domain resources is (P+B)mod S, where (P+B)mod S is not 0, S is the size of the first sub-band, and P and B are the starting position and bandwidth of the frequency domain resource, respectively.
[0721] As an example, different starting positions and bandwidth ranges correspond to different sub-band sizes. The sizes of the L final sub-bands are the sub-band sizes corresponding to the starting positions and bandwidth ranges of the L frequency domain resources, respectively.
[0722] In embodiment 10C, the first frequency domain resource is any one of the L frequency domain resources that includes at least three sub-bands, and the size of the non-first and non-last sub-band in the first frequency domain resource is the size of the first sub-band.
[0723] Example 11
[0724] Example 11 illustrates a schematic diagram of only one frequency domain resource among the L frequency domain resources according to an embodiment of this application; as shown in Figure 11.
[0725] In Example 11, the size of the first sub-band depends on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources, and the only one of the L frequency domain resources is the frequency domain resource with the largest bandwidth among the L frequency domain resources.
[0726] In the above method, the subband size is determined by the maximum bandwidth. The advantages include: prioritizing the reporting accuracy of the frequency domain resources with the maximum bandwidth, reducing the total number of reported subbands, and thus potentially reducing the reporting overhead.
[0727] Example 12A
[0728] Example 12A illustrates a schematic diagram of only one of the L frequency domain resources according to another embodiment of this application; as shown in Figure 12A.
[0729] In Example 12A, the size of the first sub-band depends on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources, which is the frequency domain resource with the smallest bandwidth among the L frequency domain resources.
[0730] In the above method, the subband size is determined by the minimum bandwidth. The advantages include: ensuring the reporting accuracy of frequency domain resources with the minimum bandwidth, and the reporting accuracy of all frequency domain resources is very high.

[0741] In Example 12B, the first report includes channel information on at least one sub-band of each of the L frequency domain resources; the size of each sub-band of the L frequency domain resources depends on the size of the first sub-band; the two candidates for the size of the first sub-band depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources.
[0742] As an example, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers, and the L carriers belong to the same cell.
[0743] As an example, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers, and the L carriers belong to L cells.

[0746] As an example, multiple bandwidth ranges correspond to multiple sub-band sizes, and the bandwidths of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources belong to two bandwidth ranges in the multiple bandwidth ranges, respectively. The two candidates for the first sub-band size are the two sub-band sizes corresponding to the two bandwidth ranges.
[0747] As one embodiment, the first receiver 1201 receives a second information block; wherein the second information block indicates the size of the first sub-band from a plurality of candidates, the plurality of candidates depending on the bandwidth of each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0748] As one embodiment, multiple bandwidth ranges correspond to multiple sub-band size groups, and each of the multiple sub-band size groups includes one or more sub-band sizes; the bandwidth ranges to which the bandwidths of the L frequency domain resources belong respectively correspond to L sub-band size groups, and each of the L sub-band size groups is one of the multiple sub-band size groups; the first sub-band size is one of multiple candidates, and the multiple candidates include the union of the L sub-band size groups.
[0749] According to one aspect of this application, the union of the L subband size groups refers to all distinct subband sizes within the L subband size groups.
[0750] As an example, the L sub-bands are the first sub-bands of the L frequency domain resources, and the size of the L sub-bands depends on the starting position of the L frequency domain resources.
[0751] As an example, the L last sub-bands are the last sub-bands of the L frequency domain resources, and the size of the L last sub-bands depends on the starting position and bandwidth of the L frequency domain resources.
[0752] As an example, the first frequency domain resource is any one of the L frequency domain resources that includes at least three sub-bands, and the size of the non-first and non-last sub-band in the first frequency domain resource is the size of the first sub-band.
[0753] As an example, the first report includes a first CQI, which is conditional on the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources.

[0755] Examples 13A-13C illustrate schematic diagrams of only one frequency domain resource among the L frequency domain resources according to another embodiment of this application; as shown in Figures 13A-13C respectively.
[0756] In Example 13A, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers respectively, and the only frequency domain resource among the L frequency domain resources is the main carrier or the anchor carrier among the L carriers.
[0757] As an example, the primary carrier or anchor carrier among the L carriers carries SIB1.
[0758] As an example, the primary carrier or anchor carrier among the L carriers has a control resource set #0 or an initial BWP (bandwidth part).
[0759] As an example, the primary carrier or anchor carrier among the L carriers has one or more of the following: a synchronization signal, a primary information block, a system information block, a control resource set #0, and a common search space.

[0762] Example 13D
[0763] Embodiment 13D illustrates a structural block diagram of a processing apparatus for a second node according to an embodiment of this application; as shown in Figure 13D. In Figure 13D, the processing apparatus 1300 in the second node includes a second transmitter 1301 and a second receiver 1302.

[0769] As one embodiment, the second transmitter 1301 includes at least one of the following in embodiment 4: antenna 420, transmitter 418, transmission processor 416, multi-antenna transmission processor 471, controller / processor 475, and memory 476.
[0770] As one embodiment, the second receiver 1302 includes at least one of the following in embodiment 4: antenna 420, receiver 418, receiver processor 470, multi-antenna receiver processor 472, controller / processor 475, and memory 476.
[0771] The second transmitter 1301 transmits a first information block, the first information block indicating at least one of L frequency domain resources, where L is a positive integer greater than 1;
[0772] The second receiver 1302 receives the first report;
[0773] In embodiment 13D, the first report includes channel information on at least one sub-band of each of the L frequency domain resources; the size of each sub-band of the L frequency domain resources depends on the size of the first sub-band; and the two candidates for the size of the first sub-band depend on the bandwidth of each of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources.
[0774] As an example, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers, and the L carriers belong to the same cell.
[0775] As an example, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers, and the L carriers belong to L cells.
[0776] As one embodiment, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers, and the L carriers belong to the same cell; the L carriers each include resources in L resource grids for the same subcarrier interval.
[0777] As one embodiment, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers, and the L carriers belong to the same cell; the L carriers each include different resources in the same resource grid for a subcarrier interval.
[0778] As an example, multiple bandwidth ranges correspond to multiple sub-band sizes, and the bandwidths of the two frequency domain resources in the L frequency domain resources belong to two bandwidth ranges in the multiple bandwidth ranges, respectively. The two candidates for the first sub-band size are the two sub-band sizes corresponding to the two bandwidth ranges.
[0779] As one embodiment, the second transmitter 1301 transmits a second information block; wherein the second information block indicates the size of the first subband from a plurality of candidates, the plurality of candidates depending on the bandwidth of each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0780] As one embodiment, multiple bandwidth ranges correspond to multiple sub-band size groups, and each of the multiple sub-band size groups includes one or more sub-band sizes; the bandwidth ranges to which the bandwidths of the L frequency domain resources belong respectively correspond to L sub-band size groups, and each of the L sub-band size groups is one of the multiple sub-band size groups; the first sub-band size is one of multiple candidates, and the multiple candidates include the union of the L sub-band size groups.
[0781] According to one aspect of this application, the union of the L subband size groups refers to all distinct subband sizes within the L subband size groups.
[0782] As an example, the L sub-bands are the first sub-bands of the L frequency domain resources, and the size of the L sub-bands depends on the starting position of the L frequency domain resources.
[0783] As an example, the L last sub-bands are the last sub-bands of the L frequency domain resources, and the size of the L last sub-bands depends on the starting position and bandwidth of the L frequency domain resources.
[0784] As an example, the first frequency domain resource is any one of the L frequency domain resources that includes at least three sub-bands, and the size of the non-first and non-last sub-band in the first frequency domain resource is the size of the first sub-band.
[0785] As an example, the first report includes a first CQI, which is conditional on the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0786] Example 14
[0787] Example 14 illustrates a schematic diagram of the relationship between a first CQI and L frequency domain resources according to an embodiment of this application; as shown in Figure 14.
[0788] In Example 14, the first report includes a first CQI, which is conditional on the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources.
[0789] As an example, the first report includes a first CQI (Channel Quality Indicator), which is conditional on the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources; the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources includes precoding-related information.
[0790] As a sub-implementation of the above embodiment, based on the assumption that the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources is adopted, the first CQI indicates the highest CQI index corresponding to a single transport block transmitted on the CSI reference resource at a transmission rate not exceeding a specific BLER (Block Error Rate); the specific BLER is 0.1 or 0.00001; the CSI reference resource includes at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources in the frequency domain.
[0791] Typically, the modulation scheme, target code rate, and transport block size of a transport block depend on the indications of the CQI index.
[0792] As an example, the assumption that the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources is adopted includes: assuming that the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources is applied to the precoding of the single transport block.
[0793] As an example, the channel information on a sub-band is generated by reasoning from the channel matrix on the sub-band or the eigenvector of the channel matrix on the sub-band; the assumptions adopted based on the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources include: assuming that the channel matrix or the eigenvector of the channel matrix recovered after reasoning from the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources is used for the precoding of the single transport block.
[0794] In the above embodiments, the structure and parameters of the AI model used for the inference of recovering the channel matrix or the eigenvectors of the channel matrix are known to the second node. For example, they may be obtained by downloading from a network device, or they may be specified in a standard, or they may be implementation-related to the second node (i.e., determined by the hardware device vendor of the second node).
[0795] Typical AI model structures include Transformer structures, RNNs (Recurrent Neural Networks), CNNs (Conventional Neural Networks), and hybrid models composed of multiple models.

[0805] The first transmitter 1502 sends the first report;
[0806] In Example 15, the first report includes channel information on at least one sub-band of each of the L frequency domain resources; the size of each sub-band of the L frequency domain resources depends on the size of a first sub-band; the size of the first sub-band depends on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources.

[0840] As one embodiment, the second transmitter 1601 transmits a second information block; wherein the second information block indicates the first subband size from a first subband big group, the first subband big group including multiple subband sizes, the first subband big group depending on the bandwidth of only one of the L frequency domain resources.
[0841] As one embodiment, multiple bandwidth ranges correspond to multiple subband large groups, and each of the multiple subband large groups includes one or more subband sizes; the first subband large group is the subband large group corresponding to the bandwidth range to which the bandwidth of only one frequency domain resource in the L frequency domain resources belongs.
[0842] As an example, the L sub-bands are the first sub-bands of the L frequency domain resources, and the size of the L sub-bands depends on the starting position of the L frequency domain resources.
[0843] As an example, the L last sub-bands are the last sub-bands of the L frequency domain resources, and the size of the L last sub-bands depends on the starting position and bandwidth of the L frequency domain resources.
[0844] As an example, the first frequency domain resource is any one of the L frequency domain resources that includes at least three sub-bands, and the size of the non-first and non-last sub-band in the first frequency domain resource is the size of the first sub-band.
[0845] As an example, the only frequency domain resource among the L frequency domain resources is the frequency domain resource with the largest bandwidth among the L frequency domain resources.
[0846] As an example, the only frequency domain resource among the L frequency domain resources is the frequency domain resource with the smallest bandwidth among the L frequency domain resources.
[0847] As an example, the L frequency domain resources belong to L carriers respectively, and the only frequency domain resource among the L frequency domain resources is the main carrier or the anchor carrier among the L carriers.
[0848] As an example, only one of the L frequency domain resources has a control resource set #0 or includes an initial BWP (bandwidth part).
[0849] As an example, only one of the L frequency domain resources has one or more of the following: synchronization signal, master information block, system information block, control resource set #0, and common search space.
[0850] As an example, the first report includes a first CQI, which is conditional on the channel information on at least one sub-band in each of the L frequency domain resources.
