Abstract
Description
Illuminated roller blind device Technical Field
[0001] This disclosure relates to the field of vehicle interior trim technology. More specifically, this disclosure relates to a light-emitting roller blind device. Background Technology
[0002] A starry sky roof is an interior design system that uses lighting technology to simulate the effect of a starry sky on the roof of a car. It is commonly found in high-end luxury models and combines technology and aesthetics to create a unique atmosphere for drivers and passengers.
[0003] In current vehicle interior design, the most mature starry sky roof solution is achieved by inserting optical fibers (optical fibers coupled with LED light sources and related optical components). The limitation of this solution is that the translucent fabric combined with the optical fibers cannot coexist with a rollable sunshade. Even though some aftermarket solutions exist that use fiber-insulated rollable fabrics, the strength of the fiber-insulated connections often fails automotive-grade testing due to the inherent limitations of optical fibers. Furthermore, since each fiber requires manual insertion, this solution faces limitations in terms of manufacturing costs and labor, preventing its widespread application in mainstream vehicle models.
[0004] Another approach involves applying light guide film technology to composite roller blinds. Based on side-entry light, this technology utilizes the light-emitting microstructures on the light guide film to achieve light emission, replacing traditional fiber optic solutions. In fact, current optical / light path designs for vehicle interior ambient lighting typically use structural design to fix the relative position of the light guide structure and the light source. This ensures that the light emitted from the light source propagates along a predetermined path within the light guide, guaranteeing luminous efficiency. If movement of the light source is required, both the light source and the light guide need to move together. However, since the light source for roller blinds is still based on traditional LED light sources (or combined with a focusing element), neither the material characteristics of the printed circuit board (PBC) (even flexible printed circuit boards (FPCs) can meet 20,000+ roll-ups) nor the excessive space after roll-up due to the thickness of the light source can accommodate the light source rolling up with the roller blind.
[0005] The purpose of this disclosure is to provide an improved luminous roller blind device to overcome the above-mentioned defects.
[0006] To this end, this disclosure provides a light-emitting roller blind device, comprising: a guide assembly; a light source fixed to the guide assembly; and a light-shielding display assembly, the light-shielding display assembly being movable along the guide assembly to achieve unfolding or retraction, and including a light guide layer, wherein the light guide layer includes a light-inlet end opposite to the light source and is provided with a plurality of light-emitting microstructures; wherein the light-emitting roller blind device is configured such that when the light-shielding display assembly moves along the guide assembly, light emitted by the light source enters the light guide layer through the light-inlet end, and after passing through the plurality of light-emitting microstructures, changes its propagation direction and exits from one side surface of the light guide layer.
[0007] Therefore, the luminous roller blind device disclosed herein is suitable for situations where the flexible light guide needs to be rolled up with the curtain, but the light source cannot be rolled up simultaneously due to space, thickness, and physical characteristics, such as the application of light guide film in roll-up starry sky ceilings. Specifically, this disclosure provides a special coupling structure design between the light source and the light guide for the luminous roller blind. This design can keep the light source fixed relative to the vehicle body when the light guide moves with the roller blind relative to the vehicle body, but maintains the positional relationship between the light-inlet end of the roller blind and the light-outlet end of the light source during the rolling process, so that the roller blind can be lit up at any rolling position. In other words, the light transmission efficiency is not affected by the rolling movement of the roller blind.

[0045] The elements in the accompanying drawings are shown for simplicity and clarity and are not necessarily drawn to precise scale or shape. It should be understood that the drawings are not only used for explanation and illustration of this disclosure, but also, where necessary, to limit this disclosure. Detailed Implementation
[0046] The implementation and use of specific embodiments are discussed in detail below. However, it should be understood that the specific embodiments discussed are merely illustrative of particular ways of implementing and using this disclosure, and are not intended to limit the scope of this disclosure.
[0047] In this specification, the directional terms such as "up," "down," "front," "back," "left," "right," "top," and "bottom" used to describe the structural positions are not absolute but relative. For example, these directional terms are appropriate when the components are arranged as shown in the figure, but they should be changed accordingly when the positions of the components in the figure change.
[0048] In this specification, unless otherwise expressly specified and limited, terms such as "installation" and "connection" should be interpreted broadly. For example, they can refer to a fixed connection, a detachable connection, or an integral connection; they can refer to a direct connection or an indirect connection through an intermediate medium, or the internal communication between two components or the interaction between two components. Those skilled in the art can understand the specific meaning of the above terms in this specification according to the specific circumstances.
[0049] In this specification and accompanying drawings, the X direction represents the longitudinal direction of the vehicle (i.e., the front-to-back direction, which also corresponds to the direction of travel of the vehicle), the Y direction represents the lateral direction of the vehicle (i.e., the left-to-right direction at a 90-degree angle relative to the direction of travel), and the Z direction represents the vertical direction of the vehicle (i.e., the up-and-down direction perpendicular to the ground).
[0050] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the luminous roller blind device according to this disclosure is mostly used in vehicle roof CLs, for example, a luminous starry sky roof can be integrated into a sunroof sunshade roller blind. More specifically, the light source assembly 100 can be fixed relative to the guide rail of the roller blind's guide assembly, and the roller blind (i.e., the light-blocking display assembly 200) is held in place by a mechanical structure, so that it moves along the guide rail during unfolding or retracting, and the light emitted by the light source can always enter the composite layer structure of the roller blind to present a starry sky effect.
[0051] Figure 3 is a schematic diagram of the reference plane arrangement of the luminous roller blind device according to the present disclosure. The reference plane is used to define the relative position of the light-shielding display component and the light source when the light-shielding display component is directly or indirectly connected to the guide component. More specifically, as shown in Figure 3, in the luminous roller blind device of the present disclosure, there is a light source structure fixed relative to the vehicle body (e.g., the light source of the light source component 100 and / or the light-focusing component 160 (also referred to as a light-focusing light guide), which will be described in detail below in conjunction with specific embodiments) and a flexible light-emitting mechanism (e.g., the light guide layer 220 of the light-shielding display component 200, which will be described in detail below in conjunction with specific embodiments), wherein the light-focusing component 160 has a first optical central axis AX1, and the light guide layer 220 has a second optical central axis AX2. By setting a suitable lower virtual reference plane RP1 or upper virtual reference plane RP2, the first optical central axis AX1 and the second optical central axis AX2 are always aligned during the relative movement of the light-concentrating element 160 and the light-guiding layer 220, i.e., during the movement of the light-shielding display assembly 200 along the guide rail to achieve unfolding or retraction. For example, they are always located on the same curved surface according to the curved movement trajectory of the roller blind (the movement trajectory of the roller blind usually has a certain curvature relative to the X direction). Therefore, the light emitted from the light-emitting end of the light-concentrating element 160 can enter the light-guiding layer 220 from the light-incoming end of the light-guiding layer 220 to present a light-emitting effect. Preferably, the distance d between the light-emitting end of the light-concentrating element 160 and the light-incoming end of the light-guiding layer 220 is usually set to be less than or equal to 5 mm.
[0052] As shown in Figure 4, according to one embodiment, the light source assembly 100 of the luminous roller shutter device includes an upper housing 110, a lower housing 120, a heat dissipation frame 130, a light source 150, and a focusing element 160. The upper housing 110 and the lower housing 120 are fixedly connected, for example, by screws or other fasteners, and together with the heat dissipation frame 130, define a chamber 140 for accommodating the light source 150. According to a variation, the upper housing 110 may also be integrally formed with the lower housing 120. The light source includes, for example, a printed circuit board (PCB) 150 and a light-emitting element 151 disposed on the PCB 150. The PCB 150 may be fixedly connected to the upper housing 110 and / or the lower housing 120, and the surface of the PCB 150 facing away from the light-emitting element 151 is attached to the heat dissipation frame 130. The light-emitting element 151 may be, but is not limited to, a light-emitting diode (LED), an organic light-emitting diode (OLED), a laser generator, etc. The light-concentrating element 160 has a flat structure with a thickness between 1 mm and 3 mm, and is clamped between the upper housing 110 and the lower housing 120 by a fixed connection between the upper housing 110 and the lower housing 120. More specifically, it is clamped between the lower protrusion 111 of the upper housing 110 and the upper protrusion 121 of the lower housing 120, and is in close contact with the bottom surface of the lower protrusion 111 or the top surface of the upper protrusion 121, so that the light-inlet end of the light-concentrating element 160 is aligned with the light-emitting element 151. The light-concentrating element 160 can be injection molded or extruded from a resin material with excellent light-guiding properties, such as polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) or polycarbonate (PC). To ensure that the light source assembly 100 provides stable and continuous light intensity and emits light according to a predetermined light path, the light-concentrating element 160 needs to be adapted to the selected light source and have corresponding micro-texture design or refractive / reflective feature design.
[0053] As shown in Figure 5, according to one embodiment, the light-shielding display component 200 of the luminous roller blind device includes a composite roller blind structure formed by sequentially stacking a light-shielding layer 210, a light-guiding layer 220, and a light-transmitting layer 230. According to some variations, the light-shielding display component 200 may also omit the light-shielding layer 210 or the light-transmitting layer 230. The light-guiding layer 220 is preferably a light-guiding film with a thickness between 0.05 mm and 0.5 mm, and is made, for example, of a resin material with excellent light-guiding properties such as PMMA or PC. The light guide layer 220 includes a light-inlet end 222 opposite to the light source (more specifically, opposite to the light-emitting end of the light-concentrating element 160). In other words, the light-concentrating element 160 is positioned between the light-emitting element 151 and the light-inlet end 222 of the light guide layer 220 and fixed to the upper housing 110 or the lower housing 120, so as to guide the light emitted by the light-emitting element 151 to the light-inlet end 222 of the light guide layer 220. The light guide layer 220 is provided with a plurality of light-emitting microstructures 221. The light-shielding layer 210 constitutes the non-exterior layer of the composite roller blind structure and can be treated with screen printing, painting, coating, etc., according to requirements such as temperature resistance, heat insulation, and light shading. The light-transmitting layer 230 constitutes the exterior layer of the composite roller blind structure. It is, for example, a fabric layer or a leather layer, and is provided with a plurality of light-transmitting portions 231 opposite to the plurality of light-emitting microstructures 221, such as a plurality of light-transmitting holes. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the light-shielding display assembly 200 also includes at least one edge strip 240 for overlapping with the guide rail. The edge strip 240 is disposed adjacent to the light-inlet end 222 of the light guide layer 220 and fixed to the light-transmitting layer 230 or the light-shielding layer 210. Preferably, the edge strip 240 is made of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU), thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO), or Teflon, etc., which are soft rubber strip materials with certain tensile properties and wear resistance. The connection method between the edge strip 240 and the light-transmitting layer 230 or the light-shielding layer 210 includes, but is not limited to, welding, stitching, etc. Therefore, when the light-shielding display assembly 200 moves along the guide rail via the edge strip 240, the light emitted by the light-emitting component 151 can reach the light-inlet end 222 of the light guide layer 220 via the light-concentrating component 160 and enter the light guide layer 220. After passing through multiple light-emitting microstructures 221, the propagation direction changes and the light is emitted into the vehicle from one side surface of the light guide layer 220 and through the light-transmitting part 231 of the light-transmitting layer 230.
[0054] As shown in Figures 6 and 7, according to the first embodiment, the luminous roller blind device includes a lower guide rail 170. The lower guide rail 170 can be fixedly connected to the lower housing 120, for example, by means of screws or other fasteners, or it can be integrally formed with the lower housing 120 to improve alignment accuracy while reducing costs. Thus, the upper housing 110, the lower housing 120, and the lower guide rail 170 together form the guide assembly of the luminous roller blind device. A sliding groove 171 is provided on the top of the lower guide rail 170, and the side strip 240 can pass through the opening in the top wall 172 of the lower guide rail 170 and engage with the sliding groove 171, so that the composite roller blind structure is tightly fitted with the top surface of the lower guide rail 170 at the light-inlet end 222 of the light guide layer 220. Preferably, the lower guide rail 170 can be manufactured by aluminum extrusion, and the required movement trajectory is achieved during the extrusion process. The edge strip 240 is engaged within the sliding groove 171, allowing it to slide along the groove 171 to unfold or retract the light-shielding display component 200. It also limits the position of the light-shielding display component 200 in the Y and Z directions, ensuring that the light-shielding display component 200 and the light source component 100 maintain their relative positions during movement. In this embodiment, the edge strip 240 includes a connecting portion 241 fixedly connected to the light-transmitting layer 230 and two cantilever portions 242 extending symmetrically from both sides of the connecting portion 241 and engaging within the sliding groove 171. More specifically, each cantilever portion 242 extends into the sliding groove 171 through an opening in the top wall 172 of the lower guide rail 170, so that the top wall 172 of the lower guide rail 170 is tightly clamped between the cantilever portion 242 and the composite roller blind structure, and the sliding groove 171 limits the position of the cantilever portion 242 in the Y and Z directions. In this fixing method, it is understood that the top surface of the upper protrusion 121 of the lower housing 120 and the top surface of the top wall 172 of the lower guide rail 170 together constitute the lower virtual reference surface RP1 supporting the light-concentrating element 160 and the composite roller blind structure, so that the optical central axes of the light-concentrating element 160 and the light guide layer 220 can always remain aligned during relative movement. It is also understood that the lower guide rail 170 is symmetrically arranged at both ends of the light-shielding display assembly 200 in the Y direction. Even if the light-shielding display assembly 200 may sag under the influence of gravity, it can still maintain its relative positional relationship with the light source assembly 100 at the light-inlet end 222 of the light guide layer 220, ensuring the light-inlet efficiency of the overall structure. Furthermore, to reduce the resistance of the edge strip 240 during sliding, the lower guide rail 170 can be polished, or a wear-resistant smooth coating can be sprayed onto the lower guide rail 170 / composite roller blind structure, or low-friction fabric can be added between the composite roller blind structure and the edge strip 240.
[0055] Furthermore, after the edge strip 240 and the lower guide rail 170 are clamped together, a small gap may exist between the support structure and the composite roller blind structure, leading to light leakage. Therefore, it is preferable to use an additional light-blocking structure to shield the light source and prevent the strong light from being observed. For example, as shown in FIG6, the luminous roller blind device also includes at least one light-blocking component, such as the first light-blocking cotton 310 and the second light-blocking cotton 320 shown. One side of the first light-blocking cotton 310 is fixed to the upper housing 110 by adhesive, for example, while the other side of the first light-blocking cotton 310 abuts against the light-blocking layer 210 of the composite roller blind structure. Similarly, one side of the second light-blocking cotton 320 is fixed to the guide rail 170 by adhesive, for example, while the other side of the second light-blocking cotton 320 abuts against the light-transmitting layer 230 of the composite roller blind structure. It is understood that the type of light-blocking component is not limited; for example, other suitable types of light-blocking components such as light-blocking felt strips and light-blocking rubber can also be used.
[0056] To ensure the light-gathering efficiency of the light guide layer 220 in the composite roller blind structure, specific dimensional relationships of the core structure can be controlled. For example, the width of the light-emitting surface of the light-emitting component 151 (e.g., LED) is similar to the thickness of the light-concentrating component 160, but significantly greater than the thickness of the light guide layer 220. According to an exemplary, non-limiting embodiment, the encapsulation width of the light-emitting surface of the light-emitting component 151 is approximately 1.4 mm, the thickness of the light-concentrating component 160 is approximately 1.5 mm, and the thickness of the light guide layer 220 (e.g., light guide film) is approximately 0.2 mm. Therefore, even if the composite roller blind structure experiences localized twisting at the light-gathering end 222 of the light guide layer 220 due to gravity or other possible reasons, the presence of the snap-fit mechanism minimizes the twist angle. Furthermore, because the thickness of the light guide layer 220 is much smaller than that of the light-concentrating component 160, even with small-angle twisting, the light-gathering end 222 of the light guide layer 220 remains within the light-emitting range of the light-concentrating component 160.
[0057] As shown in Figure 8, according to the second embodiment, the difference from the first embodiment is that the luminous roller blind device includes an upper guide rail 180. The upper guide rail 180 can be fixedly connected to the upper housing 110 by means of fasteners such as screws, or it can be integrally formed with the upper housing 110. Thus, the upper housing 110, the lower housing 120, and the upper guide rail 180 together form the guide assembly of the luminous roller blind device. The bottom of the upper guide rail 180 is provided with an upper sliding groove 181. The side strip 240 can pass through the opening in the bottom wall 182 of the upper guide rail 180 and engage with the upper sliding groove 181, so that the composite roller blind structure is tightly fitted with the top surface of the upper guide rail 180 at the light-inlet end 222 of the light guide layer 220. In this embodiment, the side strip 240 includes a connecting part 241 fixedly connected to the light-shielding layer 210 and two overhanging parts 242 extending symmetrically from both sides of the connecting part 241 and engaging with the upper sliding groove 181. More specifically, each overhang 242 extends into the upper sliding groove 181 through an opening in the bottom wall 182 of the upper guide rail 180, so that the bottom wall 182 of the upper guide rail 180 is tightly clamped between the overhang 242 and the composite roller blind structure, and the upper sliding groove 181 limits the overhang 242 in the Y and Z directions. Under this fixing method, it can be understood that the bottom surface of the lower protrusion 111 of the upper housing 110 and the bottom surface of the bottom wall 182 of the upper guide rail 180 together constitute the upper virtual reference surface RP2 supporting the light-concentrating element 160 and the composite roller blind structure, so that the optical central axes of the light-concentrating element 160 and the light guide layer 220 can always remain aligned during relative movement.
[0058] As shown in Figure 9, according to the third embodiment, the difference from the first embodiment described above is that the edge strip 240 includes a connecting portion 241 fixedly connected to the light-transmitting layer 230 and a single overhang portion 242 extending from one side of the connecting portion 241. The overhang portion 242 is engaged in the sliding groove 171 so that the light-shielding display component 200 can be unfolded or rolled up by sliding along the sliding groove 171, and the light-shielding display component 200 can be limited in the Y and Z directions.
[0059] As shown in Figure 10, according to the fourth embodiment, the difference from the second embodiment described above is that the edge strip 240 includes a connecting portion 241 fixedly connected to the light-shielding layer 210 and a single overhang portion 242 extending from one side of the connecting portion 241. The overhang portion 242 is engaged in the upper sliding groove 181 so that the light-shielding display component 200 can be unfolded or rolled up by sliding along the upper sliding groove 181, and the light-shielding display component 200 can be limited in the Y and Z directions.
[0060] It is understandable that the connecting part 241 of the edge strip 240 can be fixedly connected to the composite roller blind structure by means of, but not limited to, welding, stitching, etc. Taking stitching as an example, as shown in Figure 11, since the composite roller blind structure is generally composed of three layers: a light-blocking layer 210, a light-guiding layer 220, and a light-transmitting layer 230, the connecting part 241 of the edge strip 240 can be sewn to the three layers of the composite roller blind structure by multiple stitches. Alternatively, the connecting part 241 of the edge strip 240 can be pre-stitched to the light-transmitting layer 230 by at least one stitch 262, and then the connecting part 241 of the edge strip 240 can be sewn to the three layers of the composite roller blind structure by at least one other stitch 261. With this method, since only a portion of these stitches 261 (e.g., one or more stitches 261) pass through the light-guiding layer 220, the stitches connecting the edge strip 240 to the composite roller blind structure can be set more sparsely, thereby reducing the number of perforations in the light-guiding layer 220 and avoiding excessive perforations from affecting the light guiding efficiency. Similarly, when the edge strip 240 is located above the composite roller blind structure, the connecting part 241 of the edge strip 240 can be sewn to the overall three layers of the composite roller blind structure through multiple seams. Alternatively, the connecting part 241 of the edge strip 240 can be sewn to the light-blocking layer 210 in advance through at least one seam, and then the connecting part 241 of the edge strip 240 can be sewn to the overall three layers of the composite roller blind structure through at least one other seam.
[0061] Considering that stress concentration may occur at the edge strip 240 during the movement of the light-shielding display component 200, which may cause the light guide layer 220 to be damaged after long-term operation and affect the light efficiency, as shown in Figure 12, according to the fifth embodiment, the difference from the second embodiment is that, in order to reduce stress concentration at the edge strip 240, an overlap fabric 250 can be added between the edge strip 240 and the composite roller blind structure. One end of the overlap fabric 250 is fixedly connected to the connecting part 241 of the edge strip 240, and the other end of the overlap fabric 250 is fixedly connected to the light-shielding layer 210 of the composite roller blind structure (it can be fixed to all three layers of the composite roller blind structure, or it can be fixed only to the light-shielding layer 210). In this embodiment, the bottom surface of the lower protrusion 111 of the upper housing 110 constitutes the upper virtual reference surface RP2 that supports the light-concentrating element 160 and the composite roller blind structure. Similarly, the overlapping fabric 250 can also be located below the composite roller blind structure, that is, one end of the overlapping fabric 250 is fixedly connected to the connecting part 241 of the side strip 240, and the other end of the overlapping fabric 250 is fixedly connected to the light-transmitting layer 230 of the composite roller blind structure.
[0062] In some applications, considering the significant weight of the composite roller blind structure, a strut assembly 270 can be introduced to support it. More specifically, as shown in Figures 13 to 16, according to the sixth embodiment, the difference from the embodiments described above is that the light-blocking display assembly 200 includes at least one strut assembly 270, preferably including a plurality of strut assemblies 270 spaced apart along the direction of roller blind movement F. The strut assembly 270 extends along the Y direction and is fixedly connected to the light-blocking layer 210, so that by supporting the light-blocking layer 210 of the composite roller blind structure, the composite roller blind structure is tightly fitted to the bottom surface of the bottom wall 192 of the guide rail 190 at the light-inlet end 222 of the light guide layer 220. More specifically, in the illustrated embodiment, the strut assembly 270 includes a strut sleeve 272 extending along the Y direction, a fixing cloth 273, and a strut shaft 274. The strut sleeve 272 is fitted onto the strut shaft 274, and the end of the strut sleeve 272 is adjacent to the light-entry end 222 of the light guide layer 220 and has a slider 271 fixedly mounted thereon. The fixing cloth 273 is fitted onto the strut shaft 274 between the strut shaft 274 and the strut sleeve 272 and is fixedly connected to the light-shielding layer 210. Thus, the strut shaft 274 is fixedly connected to the light-shielding layer 210 through the fixing cloth 273. According to a variation, the fixing cloth 273 may be omitted, and the strut shaft 274 may be fixedly connected to the light-shielding layer 210 by passing through a pleated protrusion integrally formed on the light-shielding layer 210. The guide rail 190 is provided with a groove 191, and the slider 271 is disposed in the groove 191 and can slide along the groove 191 to realize the unfolding or retraction of the light-shielding display component 200. In this embodiment, the bottom surface of the bottom wall 192 of the guide rail 190 constitutes the upper virtual reference surface RP2 supporting the composite roller blind structure.
