[0001] Cross-references to related applications

[0002] This application claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 202510492891.5, filed in China on April 18, 2025, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field

[0005] Although ZC sequences themselves possess good autocorrelation and constant-amplitude zero autocorrelation characteristics, their performance degrades when resisting large Doppler frequency offsets. For example, in high-speed mobile scenarios such as high-speed rail or drone communications, large Doppler frequency offsets can cause a significant decrease in the correlation of ZC sequences, thereby affecting detection performance, limiting the number of usable preambles, and resulting in lower PRACH transmission efficiency. [0058] The following explains some concepts and terms involved in the preamble determination method, apparatus, terminal, network-side equipment and medium provided in the embodiments of this application.

[0059] sequence

[0060] A sequence is an ordered set of numbers obtained by sampling a signal at discrete points in time. These sequences are used to represent the sample values of the signal at different points in time.

[0061] Random Access

[0062] I. Random Access Resource Selection

[0063] In related technologies, the random access procedure can be either a contention-based or non-contention-based random access procedure. The random access procedure can be a 4-step random access procedure (also known as a Type-1 random access procedure) or a 2-step random access procedure (also known as a Type-2 random access procedure).

[0064] In a contention-based 4-step random access process, the terminal first sends Msg1 to the network, containing a preamble. Upon detecting the preamble, the network sends Msg2 or a Random Access Response (RAR) message, containing the preamble number detected by the network and the uplink radio resources allocated to the terminal for sending msg3. Upon receiving Msg2, the terminal confirms that at least one of the preamble numbers carried in Msg2 matches the number of its own preamble. Then, according to the resources indicated in the RAR message, the terminal sends msg3 containing contention resolution information. Upon receiving Msg3, the network sends Msg4 containing contention resolution information. Upon receiving Msg4, the terminal confirms that the contention resolution information matches the information it sent in Msg3, thus completing the 4-step random access process.

[0065] The network includes uplink grant information in the RAR message to indicate MSG3 Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) scheduling information, and also includes information such as the Random Access Channel preamble ID (RAPID), Temporary Cell (TC) - Radio Network Temporary Identity (RNTI), and Tracking Area (TA). If the network does not receive the MSG3 PUSCH, it can schedule a retransmission of the MSG3 PUSCH in the TC-RNTI scrambled Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH).

[0066] For contention-based random access procedures, different terminals randomly select a preamble for transmission, which is transmitted or carried on the Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH). Different terminals may select the same preamble for transmission on the same time-frequency radio resources, a situation known as preamble conflict. In this case, different terminals will receive the same RAR (Registered Access Request). At this point, different terminals will transmit the MSG3 PUSCH according to the scheduling information in the RAR UL grant. The network can only resolve one PUSCH transmitted by one terminal on a single MSG3 PUSCH scheduling resource. This PUSCH contains contention resolution information; therefore, the network will include the contention resolution information received in MSG3 in MSG4. If the contention resolution information received by the terminal in MSG4 matches the contention resolution information transmitted by the terminal in MSG3 PUSCH, the terminal considers the contention resolution successful. If they do not match, the contention resolution is considered unsuccessful. If the contention resolution is unsuccessful, the terminal reselects a random access channel transmission resource, transmits the PRACH, and initiates another random access attempt.

[0067] For a two-step random access procedure, the first step is for the terminal to send MsgA to the network. Upon receiving MsgA, the network sends MsgB to the terminal. If the terminal does not receive MsgB within a certain time, it increments a counter counting the number of MsgA transmissions and retransmits MsgA. If the counter reaches a certain threshold, the terminal switches from a two-step random access procedure to a four-step random access procedure. MsgA includes a MsgA preamble and a MsgA PUSCH. The preamble is transmitted on the Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) transmission occasion (RO) used for the two-step random access channel. The PUSCH is transmitted on the MsgA PUSCH resources associated with the MsgA preamble and RO. The MsgA PUSCH resources are a set of PUSCH resources configured for each PRACH slot, including time-frequency resources and Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) resources.

[0068] II. Selection of Random Access Resources and Mapping of Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) to RO

[0069] Currently, a cell can configure multiple Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM) ROs at a single time-domain location of a transmission PRACH. At any given time, the number of FDM ROs that can be used can be {1, 2, 4, 8}. At any given time, there are 8 RO resources distributed across different frequencies.

[0070] The random access preamble can only be transmitted on the time-domain resources configured by the parameter PRACHConfigurationIndex, and on the frequency-domain resources configured by the parameter PRACH-FDM. The PRACH frequency-domain resources belong to {0, 1, ..., M-1}, where M equals the higher-layer parameter PRACH-FDM. During initial access, the PRACH frequency-domain resources are numbered in ascending order starting from the lowest-frequency RO resource within the initial active uplink bandwidth part; otherwise, they are numbered in ascending order starting from the lowest-frequency RO resource within the active uplink bandwidth part.

[0071] There is a correlation between the RO (Redirect Base) and the actual SSB (Secure Subsystem). One SSB may be associated with multiple ROs, or multiple SSBs may be associated with one RO. When multiple SSBs are associated with one RO, different SSBs correspond to different Preamble codes. Typically, the base station can use different beams to transmit different SSBs. The corresponding terminal transmits the Preamble on the RO associated with the SSB. Based on the strength of the received downlink beam or SSB, the terminal selects the RO associated with the SSB with the best signal, or a "RO and Preamble combination," and transmits Msg1. In this way, the network can determine the SSB selected by the terminal based on the received Preamble's RO or "RO and Preamble combination," and transmit Msg2 on the downlink beam corresponding to the SSB to ensure the quality of downlink signal reception.

[0072] The preamble determination method, apparatus, terminal, network-side equipment, and medium provided in this application will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and through some embodiments and application scenarios.

[0073] The preamble determination method provided in this application can be applied to the preamble determination process in scenarios such as enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC), or massive machine-type communication (mMTC).

[0074] For example, a node device can configure at least one preamble format to a terminal; wherein, the at least one preamble format is used to determine the preamble transmitted on the PRACH; each of the at least one preamble format includes at least a first parameter and a second parameter; the first parameter is used to configure the preamble composed of a first sequence; the second parameter is used to configure at least one of the following: CP mode, GT mode, sequence repetition type, sequence expansion method, scrambling method of the first sequence, scrambling method of the scrambling sequence, whether the PRACH carries data information, the way the PRACH carries data, the payload size indication of the PRACH carrying data, and a specific PRACH.

[0075] Thus, since at least one preamble format configured by the node device to the terminal includes a first parameter and a second parameter, and the preamble format for different scenarios can be flexibly configured through the first parameter and the second parameter, the limitation on the number of usable preambles can be avoided, thereby improving the transmission efficiency of PRACH.

[0076] Furthermore, the ability of the preamble to resist Doppler frequency offset and the capacity of the preamble can be improved in high-speed scenarios or non-terrestrial network (NTN) scenarios.

[0077] This application provides a preamble determination method. Figure 2 shows a flowchart of a preamble determination method provided in some embodiments of this application. As shown in Figure 2, the preamble determination method provided in some embodiments of this application may include the following step 201.

[0095] In this embodiment of the application, since the above-mentioned CP mode may include any of the following: a mode in which a CP exists before each sequence in a preamble format, a mode in which a CP exists only before the first sequence in a preamble format, and a mode in which no CP exists in a preamble format, each of the above preamble formats can be configured with different CP modes, thereby further improving the flexibility of configuring the preamble format.

[0096] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the above-mentioned Guard Time (GT) mode may include any of the following: a mode in which GT exists after each sequence in a preamble format, a mode in which GT exists only after the last sequence in a preamble format, and a mode in which GT does not exist in a preamble format.

[0097] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the last sequence can be composed of one of the first sequences, for example, the last sequence can be composed of a ZC sequence or an m sequence, etc.

[0098] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the power-saving device can predefine whether a GT exists in a preamble format through higher-layer signaling configuration or protocol, or it can predefine the above-mentioned GT mode through higher-layer signaling configuration or protocol.

[0099] It should be noted that GT can be used to provide protection against multipath interference and reduce interference with the preamble of other users.

[0100] In this embodiment of the application, since the above-mentioned GT mode may include any of the following: a mode in which a GT exists after each sequence in a preamble format, a mode in which a GT exists only after the last sequence in a preamble format, and a mode in which a GT does not exist in a preamble format, each of the above preamble formats can be configured with different GT modes, thereby further improving the flexibility of configuring the preamble format.

[0101] For example, as shown in Figure 3, a preamble format consists of multiple sequences, CP, and GT, each of which is composed of a first sequence. The device can use a preamble based on a preamble format and send the preamble on RO resources for random access.

[0102] For example, a preamble format comprises multiple sequences, a CP, and a GT, where each of the multiple sequences is composed of a first sequence. Specifically, as shown in Figure 4, in a preamble format, each of the multiple sequences is preceded by a CP, and only the last sequence is followed by a GT; as shown in Figure 5, in a preamble format, only the first of the multiple sequences is preceded by a CP, and only the last sequence is followed by a GT; as shown in Figure 6, in a preamble format, there is no CP, and only the last sequence is followed by a GT.

[0103] It should be noted that the preamble format shown in Figure 4 or Figure 5 above has the following characteristics:

[0104] 1. For the preamble format with CP inserted at the beginning, resource utilization efficiency is the highest;

[0105] 2. A preamble of the same length can carry more Random Access Channel (RACH) sequences, which is beneficial for supporting high coverage scenarios and base station beam sweeping.

[0106] 3. Continuously transmitted RACH sequences are beneficial for generating continuous preamble waveforms, which is helpful for detection;

[0107] 4. The preamble format with CP inserted in the header has less CP overhead, which is more conducive to using larger CP and GT;

[0108] 5. It is beneficial for supporting ultra-large zoning areas;

[0109] 6. Repeated sequences are helpful for base station detection; for example, adjacent RACH sequences can provide CP functionality.

[0110] The preamble format shown in Figure 6 above has the following characteristics: it saves CP overhead, and repeating sequences help base station detection; for example, adjacent RACH sequences can provide CP functionality. Optionally, the number of times a sequence appears can be configured, indicated, or predefined in a similar way.

[0111] Optionally, in this embodiment of the application, the above-mentioned sequence repetition type is used to determine a group of repeating sequences in a preamble;

[0112] The aforementioned repeating sequence group includes any one of the following:

[0113] Sequences generated from the same root index;

[0114] A sequence generated by cyclic shifting the same root index;

[0115] The first repeating subsequence generated from the same root index, and the multiple conjugate sequence of the first repeating subsequence;

[0116] The second repeating subsequence generated by cyclic shifting the same root index, and the complex conjugate sequence of the second repeating subsequence;

[0117] Sequences generated from different root indices;

[0118] A sequence generated by cyclic shifting of different root indices.

[0119] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the above-mentioned sequence repetition types can be divided into identical sequence repetition types and different sequence repetition types.

[0120] In this context, "identical sequence" refers to a sequence generated from the same root sequence and / or its cyclic shifts. "Different sequence" refers to a sequence generated from different root sequences or different cyclic shifts of the same root sequence, and also includes sequences generated from different cyclic shifts of different root sequences.

[0121] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the first repeating subsequence may be composed of one of the first sequences, for example, the first repeating subsequence may be composed of a ZC sequence or an m sequence, etc.

[0122] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the second repeating subsequence may be composed of one of the sequences in the first sequence, for example, the second repeating subsequence may be composed of a ZC sequence or an m sequence, etc.

[0123] For example, as shown in Figure 7, a repeating sequence group in a preamble includes sequences generated by the same root index, or sequences generated by cyclic shifts of the same root index; where j is greater than or equal to 0, and when j = 0 there is no cyclic shift, which is the root index u. As shown in Figure 8, a repeating sequence group in a preamble includes a first repeating subsequence generated by the same root index and its complex conjugate sequence, or includes a second repeating subsequence generated by cyclic shifts of the same root index and its complex conjugate sequence; where j is greater than or equal to 0, and when j = 0 there is no cyclic shift, which is the root index u. As shown in Figure 9, a repeating sequence group in a preamble includes sequences generated by different root indices, or sequences generated by cyclic shifts of different root indices; where j and m are greater than or equal to 0, and when j or m = 0, it is the root index u or k. When u = k, j ≠ m; when u ≠ k, j can be equal to m.

[0124] It should be noted that the preamble format shown in Figure 8 above has the following characteristics: The transceiver implementation is relatively simple. Multiple sequences can be used for joint detection, and detection performance can be improved through diversity gain. Multiple sequences can be merged in the frequency or time domain to resist the influence of Doppler frequency offset. The preamble format shown in Figure 9 above has the following characteristics: Merging different sequences can carry more information.

[0125] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the different sequences mentioned above may be composed of different sequences in the first sequence.

[0126] For example, as shown in Figure 10, the first sequence uses the ZC sequence, and the second sequence uses the m sequence.

[0127] In this embodiment of the application, since the above sequence repetition type may include any one of 1.1 to 1.3 above, different sequence repetition types can be used when configuring each of the above preamble formats, thereby further improving the flexibility of configuring the preamble format and facilitating the carrying of more information.

[0128] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the above sequence expansion method may include any of the following: an expansion method with orthogonal covering codes (OCC), or an expansion method without OCC.

[0129] Optionally, in this embodiment of the application, the aforementioned OCC may be configured, indicated, or predefined by the node device.

[0130] For example, as shown in Figure 11, sequence expansion methods include expansion methods with existing OCCs. The OCC can be configured, indicated, or predefined by the node. For instance, for a sequence of length 2, OCC N can include two OCC values: OCC 1 is [1,1], and OCC 2 is [1,-1]. Figures 12, 13, and 14 show expansion methods for sequences with an OCC length of 4. It can be seen that the expansion methods can be [1 1 1 1], [1 -1 1 -1] and [1 -1 -1 1], [1 1 -1 -1]. Different preamble formats can be applied to different scenarios. For example, a terrestrial network (TN) scenario uses one preamble format, while an NTN scenario uses another.

[0131] In this embodiment of the application, since the above sequence extension method may include an extension method with OCC or an extension method without OCC, different sequence extension methods can be adopted when configuring each of the above preamble formats, thereby further improving the flexibility and capacity of configuring the preamble format.

[0132] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the scrambling method of the first sequence may include any one of the following: a scrambling method with a scrambling sequence, or a scrambling method without a scrambling sequence.

[0133] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the above scrambling sequence may be configured, indicated, or predefined by the node device.

[0134] Optionally, in this embodiment of the application, when the scrambling method of the first sequence includes a scrambling method of the scrambling sequence, the terminal can perform random access through the preamble formed by the first sequence.

[0135] Optionally, in this embodiment, when the scrambling method of the first sequence includes the scrambling method of the unscrambled sequence, the first sequence can be scrambled to obtain the target sequence, and the terminal performs random access using the preamble formed by the target sequence. The scrambling sequence is configured or indicated by the node or predefined in the protocol.

[0136] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the scrambling sequence may include at least one of the following: ZC sequence, m sequence, gold sequence, and other sequences.

[0137] It should be noted that in a preamble, the same first sequence and scrambling sequence cannot usually be used; that is, the first sequence and the scrambling sequence must be different.

[0138] For example, when a scrambling sequence constitutes a preamble, for at least one sequence in the preamble, its structure is formed by scrambling a first sequence with a scrambling sequence. This can be adapted to different application scenarios (e.g., TN, NTN, LPWA scenarios), and can be used to provide higher capacity, combat Doppler shift in high-speed scenarios, and estimate time offset. As shown in Figures 15 and 16, the first sequence is a ZC sequence; the scrambling sequence is a PN sequence, such as an m-sequence or a gold sequence, which can also be called a scrambling code sequence.

[0139] It should be noted that scrambling with a pseudo-random sequence can disperse the energy diffusion caused by Doppler frequency offset, reduce the detection probability of spurious peaks, and mitigate the impact of frequency offset on detection performance. The scrambled signal is smoother in the frequency domain and can resist spectral distortion caused by frequency offset to a certain extent.

[0140] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the scrambling method of the above scrambling sequence may include any of the following: uniform scrambling, non-uniform scrambling, and full scrambling.

[0141] For example, as shown in Figure 17, the scrambling method is uniform scrambling method 1-1; as shown in Figure 18, the scrambling method is uniform scrambling method 1-2; as shown in Figure 19, the scrambling method is non-uniform scrambling method 2-1; as shown in Figure 20, the scrambling method is non-uniform scrambling method 2-2; and as shown in Figure 21, the scrambling method is full scrambling. The sequential scrambling method can increase the preamble capacity and reduce the detection complexity.

[0142] In this embodiment of the application, since the scrambling method of the first sequence can include a scrambling method with a scrambling sequence or a scrambling method without a scrambling sequence, different scrambling methods can be used when configuring each of the preamble formats, thereby further improving the flexibility of configuring the preamble format.

[0143] For example, an m-sequence is a pseudo-random binary sequence generated by a linear feedback shift register (LFSR). The generation of an m-sequence depends on a primitive polynomial. An example of the primitive polynomial for an m-sequence is x. 10 +x 3 +1. The initial state can be set as: [x(9)x(8)x(7)x(6)x(5)x(4)x(3)x(2)x(1)x(0)]=[1,1,0,0,1,0,0,0,0,0]. The advantages and disadvantages of m-sequences are good pseudo-randomness, simple generation method, good autocorrelation characteristics, easy to replicate and detect, strong anti-interference ability, and wide application in communication, radar, encryption and other fields. However, the number of sequences is limited, and the cross-correlation between sequences is not always good.

[0144] An example of a pseudo-random sequence can be defined by a Gold sequence of order 31, with length M. PN Output the sequence c(n), where n = 0, 1, ..., M PN -1 can be defined as follows: c(n) = (x1(n+N) C )+x2(n+N C ))mod 2 x1(n+31)=(x1(n+3)+x1(n))mod 2 x2(n+31)=(x2(n+3)+x2(n+2)+x2(n+1)+x2(n))mod 2;

[0145] Where N C =1600, the first m-sequence x1(n) is initialized as x1(0) = 1, x1(n) = 0, n = 1, 2, ..., 30. The second m-sequence x2(n) is initialized using... This indicates that its value depends on the application of the sequence.

[0146] For the sequence described above, the generated sequence can be truncated from the most significant bit (MSB) to the length of the first sequence A. For example, a length of 839 or 139. Optionally, other lengths can be defined, such as 2. 10 The length sequence is truncated to 839.

[0147] Gold sequences can provide a greater number of sequences and good cross-correlation, but their sequence length is limited, their generation complexity is slightly higher than that of m sequences, and their autocorrelation properties are slightly inferior to those of m sequences.

[0148] For the scrambling sequence or the initial sequence of the scrambling sequence, a target ID can be considered. For example, the target ID can be cell ID1 (0-2), cell ID2 (0-335), the configured ID, or the radio frame number, etc.

[0149] A ZC sequence is a complex pseudo-random sequence consisting of a root index u and a sequence length L. RA The ZC sequence is uniquely determined. It is characterized by perfect autocorrelation, good cross-correlation, low peak-to-average power ratio, flexible sequence length, and strong resistance to frequency offset. However, it has high generation complexity, is sensitive to root index and cyclic shift, and has a limited number of sequences.

[0150] Taking the first sequence as a ZC sequence as an example, the preamble set x is randomly accessed. u,v (n) Produced based on the ZC sequence. The preamble design transmitted on PRACH uses a predefined sequence scrambling ZC sequence in the frequency domain, and merges the original ZC sequence, with the m-th sequence F... m (k), m = 1, 2, ..., N;

[0151] For sequence scrambling: F m (k)=y u,v (k)·G(k);

[0152] An example of a scrambling method is shown below:

[0153] Wherein, G(k) is the m sequence or gold sequence in the above embodiments.

[0154] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, whether the PRACH carries data information may include: the PRACH carries data information or the PRACH does not carry data information.

[0155] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the way the PRACH carries data may include any of the following: a way carried by a sequence, or a way carried by payload information.

[0156] For example, taking the above-mentioned method of carrying data via PRACH as an example, which includes carrying data via preamble sequences, multiple sequences can be configured to carry information through different sequence combinations.

[0157] For example, taking the above-mentioned PRACH data carrying method as an example, which includes the method of carrying data by payload information, a channel carrying payload information can be connected after the preamble, and the data is carried by the payload information.

[0158] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the payload size indicator of the PRACH carrying data can be used to indicate any of the following: the payload size of the PRACH carrying data is greater than or not less than a first threshold, or the payload size of the PRACH carrying data is less than or not greater than a first threshold.

[0159] Specifically, if the payload size of the PRACH is greater than or equal to a first threshold, it is classified as one preamble format; otherwise, it is classified as another preamble format. Optionally, it can be extended to support more thresholds, thereby dividing multiple payload ranges (intervals).

[0160] For example, the preamble format can be indicated by the above parameters through a table, for instance, an indication of format D1 is predefined in the protocol as shown in Table 1 below:

[0161] Table 1

[0162] The parameters in Table 1 above, and any other parameters that may be required, can be indicated by other higher-level configuration signaling. u represents the subcarrier spacing.

[0163] Optionally, in this embodiment, the aforementioned specific PRACH can be a PRACH on a reserved frequency band, a reserved sub-frequency band, or a reserved carrier. The preamble transmitted on this PRACH is a preamble of a specific format.

[0164] The reserved frequency band, the reserved sub-frequency band, or the reserved carrier mentioned above are resources dedicated to the specific PRACH transmissions mentioned above.

[0165] For example, assuming that the specific PRACH mentioned above includes a first PRACH and a second PRACH, then:

[0166] First PRACH: A specific PRACH is transmitted on a specific reserved frequency band, reserved sub-band, or reserved carrier, on which a specific preamble format is transmitted, such as carrying a WUS signal;

[0167] Second PRACH: Transmitting a second PRACH and other channels / signals on another specific reserved frequency band, reserved sub-band, or reserved carrier. This PRACH transmits a preamble in a specific preamble format, where the second PRACH signal can be a 4G or 5G PRACH. The first and second PRACHs can carry preambles based on different preamble formats.

[0168] In this embodiment, since the specific PRACH can be a PRACH on a reserved frequency band, a reserved sub-frequency band, or a reserved carrier, the flexibility of the preamble format configuration can be further improved.

[0169] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, step 201 above can be specifically implemented by step 201a below.

[0170] Step 201a: The node device configures at least one preamble format to the terminal based on the first information.

[0171] The first piece of information includes at least one of the following:

[0172] An RO mapped to a reference signal uses a preamble format.

[0173] Different ROs mapped to a reference signal use a preamble format.

[0174] For at least some of the different ROs within a group of ROs mapped to at least one reference signal, different preamble formats are used;

[0175] Different preamble formats are used for ROs in different RO groups that are mapped to at least one reference signal;

[0176] For at least some of the multiple ROs mapped to at least one reference signal, different preamble formats are used, and the multiple ROs are all of different symbol types;

[0177] Different preamble groups associated with the same reference signal use different preamble formats;

[0178] Different preamble formats are used for different preamble groups associated with different reference signals or different reference signal groups.

[0179] Guard band mode mapped to multiple ROs of at least one reference signal;

[0180] Preamble format configuration information.

[0181] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the preamble format used by one or more ROs mapped to a reference signal may include one or more preamble formats.

[0182] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the ROs that are mapped to the same or different RO groups of at least one reference signal can use the same preamble format.

[0183] Optionally, in this embodiment of the application, different preamble formats are used for ROs mapped to different RO groups of at least one reference signal, while ROs within each RO group mapped to the at least one reference signal can use the same preamble format.

[0184] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the at least some different ROs within a group of ROs mapped to at least one reference signal may include some or all different ROs within the group of ROs.

[0185] For example, if an RO group includes RO1, RO2, RO3 and RO4, and any two of RO1, RO2, RO3 and RO4 are different, then at least some of the different ROs in the RO group may include RO1 and RO2, or RO1, RO2 and RO3, or RO1, RO2, RO3 and RO4, etc.

[0186] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, at least some of the ROs among the plurality of ROs mapped to at least one reference signal may include some or all of the plurality of ROs.

[0187] For example, if the above-mentioned multiple ROs include RO5, RO6 and RO7, then at least some of the multiple ROs may include RO5, or include RO5 and RO6, or include RO5, RO6 and RO7, etc.

[0188] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the above-mentioned GB mode includes a mode with GB present or a mode without GB present.

[0189] Optionally, in this embodiment of the application, the presence of GB can be configured with one preamble format, while the absence of GB can be configured with another preamble format.

[0190] For example, whether there is a guard band in the frequency domain between two adjacent ROs or between RO groups can be configured or predefined. The motivation for configurable preamble formats is that preambles within different ROs in high-frequency biased scenarios may interfere with each other. Selecting different preamble formats can reduce interference between preamble formats, thereby improving the detection performance of nodes.

[0191] It should be noted that for a PRACH transmission with N preamble repetitions, a group or set is formed by N valid ROs. These N ROs are temporally consecutive and use the same frequency resources, are associated with the same one or more downlink reference signal indices, such as SSB indices, and each downlink reference signal index is associated with the same preamble index on all valid ROs within the group or set.

[0192] For example, as shown in Figure 22, a node device can be configured to have more than one preamble format within a single RO mapped to a reference signal. Here, preamble format A can be a first sequence A, and preamble format B can be a scrambling sequence or an OCC sequence of the first sequence A. Some examples are as follows: As shown in Figure 23, a node device can be configured to have one preamble format within an RO mapped to a reference signal; for example, SSB1 is mapped to two ROs, RO1 and RO2. As shown in Figure 24, a node device can be configured to have more than one preamble format within an RO mapped to a reference signal; using different preamble formats can improve capacity.

[0193] For example, a node device can be configured to use different preamble formats for different RO groups. For instance, for an RO group with a preamble repetition count of 2, preamble format 1 can be configured; for an RO group with a preamble repetition count of 8, preamble format 2 can be configured. The advantage of this is that for scenarios with a high number of repetitions, a higher preamble capacity may be required, making the use of different preamble formats beneficial. Furthermore, a node device can be configured to use different preamble formats within a single RO group.

[0194] Nodes can be configured to use different preamble formats for ROs of different symbol types. For example, preamble format 1 can be used for ROs of SBFD symbol type, while preamble format 2 can be used for ROs of Non-SBFD symbol type. The advantage of this is that different preamble formats may have different levels of interference tolerance, which is beneficial for using different preamble formats according to different interference scenarios.

[0195] For example, different preamble groups associated with the same reference signal can be configured with different preamble formats. For instance, two preamble groups associated with SSB0: Group A and Group B. Group A supports repeated transmissions within OCC and RO, thus supporting greater capacity. Group B does not support OCC, only repeated transmissions, primarily used to meet the high-reliability random access requirements of a small number of users.

[0196] Different preamble formats can be configured for association with different reference signals or different reference signal groups. For example, the channel resources for transmitting the preamble in two signal groups SSB group A {SSB0, SSB1} and SSB group B {SSB2, SSB3} can be PRACH resource group A and PRACH resource group B, respectively. PRACH resource group A supports OCC and repeated transmission, thus supporting greater capacity. PRACH resource group B does not support OCC, only repeated transmission, and is mainly used to meet the high-reliability random access requirements of a small number of users.

[0197] In this embodiment of the application, since the node device can configure at least one preamble format to the terminal based on the first information, at least one preamble format can be configured based on the mapping information related to the preamble format, thereby improving the accuracy of configuring the preamble format.

[0198] Optionally, in this embodiment of the application, the preamble format configuration information can be determined according to at least one of the following 2.1 to 2.10:

[0199] 2.1 Time-frequency resource types for PRACH transmission;

[0200] 2.2 Is the PRACH resource configured on demand?

[0201] 2.3. PRACH is requested or activated by the terminal;

[0202] 2.4. PRACH is activated by network dynamic indication or via a downlink wake-up signal (WUS);

[0203] 2.5. Is the preamble signal used as the WUS signal?

[0204] 2.6. Terminal service types;

[0205] 2.7 Network deployment scenarios corresponding to node devices;

[0206] 2.8 PRACH Configuration Table;

[0207] 2.9 Different PRACH cycles or different time units of PRACH transmission;

[0208] 2.10. At least one of the following: the period, structure type, and transmission bandwidth of the synchronization signal block associated with PRACH.

[0209] For example, when the preamble format configuration information is determined according to 2.1 above, if the PRACH time-frequency resource is located in an SBFD symbol, then one preamble format can be used. If the PRACH time-frequency resource is located in a non-SBFD symbol, then another preamble format can be used. For example, for a preamble format located in an SBFD resource, at least one of the following can be configured: not using OCC, not using scrambling sequence, repetition of multiple preamble sequences, larger GT, and larger CP. The preamble is transmitted or carried in the PRACH channel.

[0210] When the above preamble format configuration information is determined according to 2.2 above, the PRACH configured on demand uses one preamble format, and the PRACH configured non-on demand uses another preamble format.

[0211] When the preamble format configuration information is determined according to section 2.3 above, the terminal can request the network to configure a specified preamble format, for example, through an uplink WUS request. The terminal can activate a preamble format, the preamble format resource configuration of which can be pre-configured by the network.

[0212] When the above preamble format configuration information is determined according to 2.4 above, it can be indicated directly by a DCI; or a configuration containing preamble format information can be activated by a DCI; or a configuration containing preamble format information can be activated by a downlink WUS signal or channel.

[0213] When the preamble format configuration information is determined according to 2.5 above, the preamble format used as the WUS signal may be different from the preamble format used for initial access. For example, when the preamble signal acts as the WUS signal to trigger a specific signal such as SSB or SIB1, the reliability of the preamble signal is more important than its capacity. This preamble signal may not be configured with OCC, and the preamble may be configured with larger GT and CP, or even specific waveforms, or may be configured for transmission only on reserved frequency bands.

[0214] When the preamble format configuration information is determined according to section 2.6 above, preamble format 1 can be used for Internet of Things (IoT) services; preamble format 2 can be used for services with high coverage requirements or frequent repetitions; for example, preamble format 3 with OCC configuration can be used for services with high capacity requirements; and preamble format 4 can be used for eMBB services. Different services can be distinguished by a single parameter, such as priority.

[0215] When the preamble format configuration information is determined according to section 2.7 above, different preambles can be configured depending on whether it is an NTN scenario or a PRACH transmission requiring pre-compensation for time and / or frequency offset. For example, in such a scenario, a preamble format with larger GT and CP lengths can be configured.

[0216] When the preamble format configuration information is determined according to section 2.8 above, different preamble formats can be included in different PRACH configuration tables. Since subsets of different preamble formats may not be configured in the same cell, supporting all preamble formats in the same PRACH configuration table is unnecessary. The advantage of this design is that it saves signaling overhead.

[0217] When the preamble format configuration information is determined according to section 2.9 above, one preamble format is supported for even-numbered SSB to RO association mode periods, and another preamble format is supported for odd-numbered SSB to RO association mode periods. For example, a time window T that is an integer multiple of K, where T is a function of the pre-configured SSB to RO period, and K is determined by network configuration or protocol agreement, defines the pattern for different preamble formats. For instance, a K-bit bitmap is defined in units of SSB to RO association mode periods, where a bit of 0 indicates that the first preamble format A is used in the corresponding association mode period, and a bit of 1 indicates that another preamble format B is used in the corresponding association mode period. Generally, the pre-configured period can be the association mode period, mapping to a cycle, or associated with a period.

[0218] When the above preamble format configuration information is determined according to 2.10 above, a specific preamble format or multiple preamble formats are used for ROs associated with large-period SSBs; for ROs associated with small-period SSBs, another or a set of preamble formats are used.

[0219] In this embodiment of the application, since the preamble format configuration information can be determined according to at least one of 2.1 to 2.10 above, the preamble format configuration information can be determined by different information, thereby improving the flexibility of determining the preamble format configuration information.

[0220] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the above-mentioned preamble format configuration information can be carried by at least one of the following: System Information Block (SIB), Radio Resource Control (RRC), Paging, WUS signal, Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH), and Media Access Control (MAC)-Control Element (CE).

[0221] In this embodiment of the application, since the preamble format configuration information can be carried by different signaling, the flexibility of carrying the preamble format configuration information can be improved.

[0222] In the preamble determination method provided in some embodiments of this application, since at least one preamble format configured by the node device to the terminal includes a first parameter and a second parameter, and the preamble format under different scenarios can be flexibly configured through the first parameter and the second parameter, the limitation on the number of usable preambles can be avoided, thereby improving the transmission efficiency of PRACH.

[0223] It should be noted that in this application, "enhanced duplex," "enhanced duplex mode," "XDD," "enhanced full duplex," and "enhanced full duplex mode" can represent a concept. They can be expressed as supporting uplink subband transmission within a downlink time unit and / or supporting downlink subband transmission within an uplink time unit and / or supporting both uplink and downlink subband transmission within a flexible time unit. Enhanced duplex can include network full duplex and terminal full duplex.

[0224] The SSB-to-RO mapping described in this application can also refer to the generalized association between downlink signals and uplink signals / resources, such as the relationship between CSI-RS and RO.

[0225] In this application, RO refers to the time-frequency resources required to send a preamble sequence and / or payload. Random access refers to the random access procedure.
