Description

Connectors, motor controllers and automobiles

[0001] This application claims priority to Chinese patent application filed on April 14, 2025, with application number 202520699937.6 and entitled "Connector, Motor Controller and Automobile", the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field

[0002] This application relates to the field of power transmission and distribution technology, and in particular to a connector, a motor controller, and an automobile. Background Technology

[0003] Conductive terminals function to collect, distribute, and transmit electrical energy. Connectors consist of conductive terminals and a plastic support. The conductive terminals, made of copper or aluminum busbars, enable high-voltage transmission. The plastic support is an insulating material that prevents short circuits between the conductive terminals and other components or circuits, and provides mechanical protection for the conductive terminals. In related technologies, to prevent moisture, dust, and other contaminants from entering the other end of the conductive terminal, dispensing holes are pre-drilled in the plastic surrounding the conductive terminal. This dispensing method achieves a seal between the conductive terminal and the plastic support. However, this not only increases the complexity of the injection mold for the plastic support but also adds more steps to the manufacturing process due to the dispensing method, thus increasing the connector's manufacturing cycle and cost.

[0044] In related technologies, to prevent moisture, dust, and other contaminants from entering the other end of the conductive terminal from one end, dispensing holes are reserved on the plastic molded around the conductive terminal. The conductive terminal and the plastic bracket are sealed by dispensing. This setup not only increases the complexity of the injection mold for the plastic bracket, but also increases the number of manufacturing steps due to the dispensing method, thereby increasing the manufacturing cycle and cost of the connector.

[0045] This is because sealing the plastic bracket and conductive terminals in the above manner requires the formation of dispensing holes, which inevitably complicates the structure of the injection mold for molding the plastic bracket. Furthermore, the above method also increases the complexity of the process due to the addition of dispensing, and the use of glue further increases the manufacturing cost of the connector.

[0046] To solve the above-mentioned technical problems, this application proposes a connector 1.

[0047] Please refer to Figure 1. In one embodiment of this application, the connector 1 includes a conductive terminal 10 and a connector base 20.

[0048] As a key component for reliable electrical conduction, connector 1 can be used in motor controllers, power distribution cabinets, automotive electronic systems, industrial robots, or automated equipment, without further limitations.

[0049] In this embodiment, the connector 1 includes conductive terminals 10 and a connector base 20. The conductive terminals 10 can be made of copper, aluminum, silver, or an alloy, which have excellent conductivity. The connector base 20 is made of insulating material, and at least a portion of the conductive terminals 10 is embedded within the connector base 20. This arrangement not only prevents short circuits between the conductive terminals 10 and other components or circuits but also provides mechanical protection for the conductive terminals 10. The connector base 20 is generally injection molded around the conductive terminals 10 to enclose them.

[0050] In this embodiment, the conductive terminal 10 has a connecting section 11, which has multiple outer surfaces. At least one groove structure is provided on at least one outer surface of the connecting section 11. The connecting seat 20 is sleeved on the connecting section 11 and fills the groove structure. The connecting seat 20 and the conductive terminal 10 are integrally formed.

[0051] As shown in Figure 3, in this embodiment, the conductive terminal 10 has a connecting section 11. The specific position of the connecting section 11 on the conductive terminal 10 is not limited. For example, assuming that the conductive terminal 10 has a bent portion, the connecting section 11 is provided on the straight section of the conductive terminal 10, so that a groove structure can be easily processed on the connecting section 11.

[0052] At least one groove-shaped structure is provided on at least one outer surface of the connecting segment 11. Specifically, the number of groove-shaped structures can be one or more. For example, when the number of groove-shaped structures is one, the groove-shaped structure can be elongated or arc-shaped, without much limitation. When the number of groove-shaped structures is multiple, the groove-shaped structure can be a recess 111. Multiple recesses 111 can be spaced apart along the length direction of the connecting segment 11 or spaced apart along the width direction of the connecting segment 11, without much limitation.

[0053] The groove structure can be formed by laser etching on the joint section 11 of the conductive terminal 10 using a laser device, or by chemical etching, or by mechanical processing; there are no further limitations on this.

[0054] First Embodiment

[0055] For ease of explanation, the groove structure in the following embodiments will be described using groove 111 as an example.

[0056] As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the groove 111 has a groove wall along its depth direction. Since the connector 20 is formed on the periphery of the conductive terminal 10 by injection molding, and part of the connector 20 will fill the groove 111 during injection molding, in order to make the connector 20 better fit with the connecting section 11 of the conductive terminal 10, thereby achieving a sealing effect, to prevent moisture or dust or other contaminants from passing through the gap between the conductive terminal 10 and the connector 20 from one end of the conductive terminal 10 to the other end of the conductive terminal 10, affecting the connection effect of the conductive terminal 10 with other devices, and ensuring the reliability of the electrical system; in this embodiment, at least part of the groove wall of the groove 111 is inclined, and the inclined groove wall is referenced to the depth direction of the groove 111.

[0057] Regarding the specific shape of the groove wall of the groove 111, all the groove walls of the groove 111 can be inclined. As for the direction of the inclination of the groove wall, it can be inclined in any direction toward the periphery of the conductive terminal 10. No further restrictions are imposed on this.

[0058] In one embodiment, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, the cross-section of the groove 111 along its depth direction includes two opposing sidewalls, at least a portion of which is inclined relative to the depth direction of the groove 111. In this embodiment, the cross-section formed by the groove 111 along its depth direction includes two opposing sidewalls, both of which are inclined relative to the depth direction of the groove 111. The two sidewalls gradually approach each other along the depth direction of the groove 111, making the groove 111 conical in shape. This allows for a more secure connection between the portion of the connector 20 filled into the groove 111 and the conductive terminal 10, thereby improving the bonding strength and tightness between the conductive terminal 10 and the connector 20. This ensures a sealing capability of less than 0.5 cc / min leakage under an inflation pressure of 3 bar, thus improving the reliability of the seal. Of course, in another embodiment, one of the two sidewalls may be inclined relative to the depth direction of the groove 111, and the other sidewall may be parallel to the depth direction of the groove 111. Alternatively, a portion of one sidewall may be inclined relative to the depth direction of the groove 111, and the other sidewall may be parallel to the depth direction of the groove 111, or it may also be partially inclined relative to the depth direction of the groove 111. Such an arrangement can also strengthen the bonding strength between the connector 20 and the conductive terminal 10, thereby improving the sealing performance between them. In other embodiments, the cross-section of the groove 111 may also include a bottom wall, with the two sidewalls arranged opposite each other at both ends of the bottom wall. This is not limited in detail. In other embodiments, at least a portion of the two sidewalls are symmetrically arranged along the center line of the groove 111, which is the line connecting the center point of the groove opening and the center point of the groove bottom. Of course, the two sidewalls may not be symmetrical. One of the two sidewalls may be vertically arranged relative to the depth direction of the groove 111, and the other may be inclined relative to the depth direction of the groove 111. No further restrictions are imposed on this.

[0059] In one embodiment, the width of the groove 111a of the groove 111 is gradually narrowing and / or gradually widening along the depth direction of the groove 111. In this embodiment, the groove 111 has a narrowing section, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, which is provided along the depth direction of the groove 111. This arrangement can further enhance the bonding strength between the connector 20 and the conductive terminal 10. In another embodiment, the groove 111 has a widening section (not shown in the figures), which is provided along the depth direction of the groove 111. This arrangement can also further enhance the bonding strength between the connector 20 and the conductive terminal 10. In other embodiments, the groove 111 has both a tapering section and a widening section. For example, the groove wall of the groove 111 is arc-shaped, and the arc is a convex arc. In this case, the tapering section is located above the widening section, thus forming a convex arc-shaped groove wall. Alternatively, the arc is a concave arc, and the widening section is located above the tapering section, thus forming a concave arc-shaped groove wall. No further limitations are imposed on this. All of the above arrangements can further improve the bonding strength between the connector 20 and the conductive terminal 10.

[0060] In one embodiment, there are multiple grooves 111. At least some of the grooves 111 form a center line 111c with the center point of the groove opening 111a and the center point of the groove bottom 111b, forming an angle α with the surface of the groove 111. The angle α is 30 to 60 degrees. As shown in Figures 4 and 5, in this embodiment, the center line 111c formed by connecting the center point of the groove opening 111a and the center point of the groove bottom 111b is set at an angle with the surface of the groove 111. This angle is not less than 30 degrees and not more than 60 degrees. This setting not only makes the processing of the grooves 111 convenient, but also ensures a good connection between the connector 20 and the conductive terminal 10 after filling the grooves 111, thereby achieving a sealing effect.

[0061] It is worth mentioning that, as shown in Figures 1 to 5, the X direction is the direction from the first end to the second end of the conductive terminal 10, which is the length direction of the conductive terminal 10, the Y direction is the width direction of the conductive terminal 10, and the Z direction is the thickness direction of the conductive terminal 10, which can also be the depth direction of the groove 111.

[0062] In one embodiment, multiple grooves 111 are arranged at intervals along both the length and width directions of the connecting segment 11. As shown in FIG3, in this embodiment, multiple grooves 111 are provided on the connecting segment 11, wherein some grooves 111 are arranged at intervals along the length direction of the connecting segment 11, that is, the length direction of the conductive terminal 10, and some grooves 111 are arranged in a structural arrangement along the width direction of the connecting segment 11, that is, the width direction of the conductive terminal 10. This arrangement not only further enhances the bonding strength between the connector 20 and the conductive terminal 10, but also reduces the number of grooves 111 to be made on the conductive terminal 10, thereby ensuring the structural strength of the conductive terminal 10 itself.

[0063] In one embodiment, multiple grooves 111 are arranged at intervals along the width direction of the connecting section 11 to form linear groove groups 1111. Multiple rows of linear groove groups 1111 are arranged at intervals along the length direction of the connecting section 11. As shown in FIG3, in this embodiment, some of the multiple grooves 111 are spaced apart to form linear groove groups 1111 along the width direction of the connecting section 11. Multiple rows of linear groove groups 1111 are formed on the connecting section 11, with adjacent rows of linear groove groups 1111 also arranged at intervals. This arrangement not only strengthens the connection strength between the connector 20 and the conductive terminal 10 but also ensures the structural strength of the conductive terminal 10 itself.

[0064] In one embodiment, the length of the connecting segment 11 along the length direction is 5mm to 10mm;

[0065] And / or, the distance between adjacent grooves 111 is 0.25mm to 0.5mm;

[0066] And / or, the width of each groove 111 is 0.3mm to 0.5mm;

[0067] And / or, the groove depth of each groove 111 is 0.3mm to 0.5mm. As shown in Figures 3 to 5, in this embodiment, the connecting segment 11 is marked as w1 along the length direction, where the value of w1 ranges from 5mm to 10mm, and it can be 5mm or 8mm, without much limitation. The distance between adjacent grooves 111 along the width direction is marked as k, and the distance between adjacent grooves 111 along the length direction is marked as l1, where the value of k ranges from 0.3mm to 0.5mm, and the value of l1 ranges from 0.25mm to 0.5mm. The groove depth of the groove 111 is marked as h1, and the value of h1 ranges from 0.3mm to 0.5mm.

[0068] In one embodiment, the groove walls of each groove 111 within each linear groove group 1111 have the same inclination direction; the groove walls of each groove 111 within two adjacent rows of linear groove groups 1111 have opposite inclination directions. As shown in Figures 4 and 5, in this embodiment, the groove walls of each groove 111 in each row of linear groove groups 1111 are inclined in the same direction, and the groove walls of each groove 111 in the adjacent row of linear groove groups 1111 are also inclined, but the groove walls of the grooves 111 in adjacent rows have opposite inclination directions. This arrangement further enhances the bonding strength between the connector 20 and the conductive terminal 10 after filling the grooves 111 in the multiple rows of grouting grooves, thereby improving the sealing effect.

[0069] Second Embodiment

[0070] In this embodiment, the groove structure is a groove 112, and multiple grooves 112 are provided. The multiple grooves 112 are arranged at intervals along the length direction of the connecting section 11; and / or, the length of the connecting section 11 along the length direction is not less than 5mm; and / or, the distance between adjacent grooves 112 is not greater than 0.5mm; and / or, the length of each groove 112 along the length direction of the connecting section 11 is 0.05mm to 0.1mm; and / or, the depth of each groove 112 is 0.5mm to 0.8mm. As shown in Figures 6 and 7, in this embodiment, the groove structure is a groove 112, which extends along the width direction of the connecting section 11. In this embodiment, multiple grooves 112 are provided, and the multiple grooves 112 are arranged at intervals along the length direction of the connecting section 11. In this embodiment, at least a portion of the groove walls on both sides of the groove 112 along the depth direction is inclined relative to the depth direction of the groove 112. As shown in Figure 6, each side of the groove wall of the groove 112 includes a vertical section and an inclined section. The vertical section is parallel to the depth direction of the groove 112, and the two inclined sections gradually approach each other along the depth direction of the groove. The groove 112 is arranged in this way so that the portion of the connecting seat 20 filled into the groove 112 can be more firmly connected to the conductive terminal 10, which is beneficial to improving the connection strength and tightness between the conductive terminal 10 and the connecting seat 20, so as to meet the sealing capability of less than 0.5cc / min leakage under the condition of inflation of 3 bar, and the sealing reliability is improved. In other embodiments, the two side walls of the groove 112 can also be extended along the depth direction of the groove 112, that is, the cross-section of the groove 112 along the length direction of the conductive terminal 10 is parallel to the depth direction. This arrangement can also achieve the same effect as described above, and the specific shape of the groove 112 is not limited.

[0071] For example, as shown in FIG7, in this embodiment, the cross section of the groove 112 along the depth direction includes two opposing sidewalls. The two sidewalls are symmetrically arranged along the center line of the groove 112, which is the line connecting the center point of the groove opening and the center point of the groove bottom of the groove 112.

[0072] In one embodiment, to ensure the bonding strength and sealing effect between the connector 20 and the conductive terminal 10, for example, as shown in FIG6, in this embodiment, the length of the bonding segment 11 is marked as w2, and the range of w2 is not less than 5mm; the distance between adjacent grooves is marked as l2, and the distance of l2 is set to not more than 0.5mm, for example, 0.1mm or 0.4mm; the length of each groove 112 along the length direction of the bonding segment 11 is marked as d2, and the value of d2 is set to 0.05mm or 0.1mm; the depth of each groove 112 is marked as h2, and the value of h2 is set to 0.5m or 0.8mm. The above setting parameters can be adjusted according to the actual situation, and no further limitations are imposed.

[0073] In one embodiment, the connecting segment 11 has multiple outer surfaces, with at least two outer surfaces having groove-like structures. As shown in FIG3, in this embodiment, the connecting segment 11 includes four outer surfaces, and a groove-like structure can be formed on any one of the four outer surfaces. Alternatively, groove-like structures can be formed on two or more outer surfaces, and the other surfaces without groove-like structures can be sealed to the connector 20 by dispensing adhesive. In this embodiment, the groove-like structures on adjacent outer surfaces can be spaced apart or connected. For example, the groove-like structures on adjacent outer surfaces are spaced apart, which improves the structural strength of the conductive terminal 10 compared to a connected arrangement. When the groove-like structures on adjacent outer surfaces are connected, the sealing degree with the connector 20 can be further improved. In this embodiment, the groove-like structure can be a groove 112 or a recess 111; no further limitations are imposed.

[0074] This application also proposes a motor controller, which includes a connector 1 as described in any of the above embodiments. The specific structure of the connector 1 is as described in the above embodiments. Since this motor controller adopts all the technical solutions of all the above embodiments, it has at least all the beneficial effects brought about by the technical solutions of the above embodiments, which will not be described in detail here. This motor controller can be used on a motor.

[0075] This application also proposes a vehicle that includes the motor controller or motor described in the above embodiments. The specific structure of the motor controller is as described in the above embodiments. Since this vehicle adopts all the technical solutions of all the above embodiments, it has at least all the beneficial effects brought about by the technical solutions of the above embodiments, which will not be elaborated here. This vehicle can be a fuel-powered vehicle or a new energy vehicle; no further limitations are imposed on it.

[0076] The above are merely exemplary embodiments of this application and do not limit the patent scope of this application. Any equivalent structural transformations made based on the technical concept of this application and the contents of the specification and drawings of this application, or direct / indirect applications in other related technical fields, are included within the patent protection scope of this application.
