Abstract
Description
[0001] Vehicle with a work device for forestry and agricultural use
[0002] The invention relates to a vehicle with a working device for forestry and agricultural use according to the type specified in the preamble of claim 1.
[0003] From EP 2565077 B1, a so-called timber trailer in the form of a trailer is known. Such a timber trailer has a crane with a telescopic boom as its working device, at the end of which is a grapple for logs, i.e., round timber. A timber trailer is used both in the forest and on roads and agricultural tracks for transporting round timber, firewood, and cuttings. The timber trailer is loaded and unloaded using the crane. For this purpose, the timber trailer is equipped with a support device. The activated support device is intended to prevent the trailer from tipping over during crane operation, i.e., during loading and unloading, especially when the crane boom swings out to the side and carries heavy loads. The support device is designed as an A-frame support with two telescopic legs arranged side-by-side in a common plane perpendicular to the trailer's longitudinal axis. These legs are also telescopically extendable within this plane. The legs are angled relative to each other such that their longitudinal axes form an A shape when viewed from the front. The legs can be hydraulically extended downwards along their longitudinal axis between a retracted transport position and an extended working position. Support feet are provided at the free ends of the legs, pointing downwards in both the transport and working positions.
[0004] Furthermore, support devices for timber trailers are also known that are designed and moved according to the so-called flap-down principle. According to this principle, the support legs are laterally pivotable and attached to a crane bracket. They can be pivoted from a transport position, in which the support legs essentially point upwards, to a working position in which the support legs rest on the ground with their feet. The support legs project laterally for this purpose.
[0005] -2 WO BO / FB 13.04.2026 beyond the timber trailer. For hydraulic pivoting, each support leg is equipped with a piston-cylinder assembly. Here too, both support legs are arranged adjacent to each other in a common plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
[0006] The existing vehicles have the disadvantage that their support structures require a great deal of space. Furthermore, these support structures are not flexible and cannot accommodate varying requirements for possible lateral extensions relative to the vehicle's longitudinal axis.
[0007] The DE° 10°2006 o 006 o 978 o A1 discloses a mobile work machine which has support legs arranged on the chassis. The support legs can be pivoted about a pivot axis.
[0008] In the DE o 10 o 2009 o 033 o 917 o A1 is a vehicle with a swiveling mast arm. The vehicle has frame supports on both sides. The extension of at least one support element of a frame support is achieved by a cam guide with a control cam.
[0009] The DE o 20 o 2007 o 008 o383 o U1 reveals a commercial vehicle support device with two supports that are pivotably articulated to a beam.
[0010] In DE°19 O 57 O 853 O U is a movable carriage with several support legs attached laterally to a beam. The support legs are designed to pivot towards the beam.
[0011] The invention is therefore based on the objective of further developing a vehicle according to the type specified in the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that flexibility is increased and space requirements are optimized while avoiding the aforementioned disadvantages.
[0012] This problem is solved by the characterizing features of claim 1 in conjunction with its preamble features.
[0013] The dependent claims constitute advantageous further developments of the invention.
[0014] The invention is based on the finding that a combination of swiveling and telescoping the support legs of the vehicle's support device results in a space-saving design.
[0015] -2 WO BO / FB 13.04.2026 solution is feasible and, on the other hand, the conditions for high flexibility for the different requirements in the company are created.
[0016] In a known manner, the support legs are therefore aligned in the transport position such that they each point towards one longitudinal side of the vehicle, and the longitudinal axes of the support legs form an angle of 90° to 270°, in particular 110° to 250°, preferably 130° to 230°, and most preferably 180°, to each other, and the support legs can be pivoted from the transport position to a working position. This reduces the pivot angle required to pivot from the transport position to the working position and also results in further design advantages that increase the flexibility of the fall arrest device.
[0017] Easy assembly and maintenance are achieved primarily by the fact that the support device has a carrier that is connected to each support leg and the base frame.
[0018] According to the invention, a hydraulic cylinder of a piston-cylinder arrangement is connected to the support via a second joint at the end furthest from the piston rod. This second joint is located on the opposite side of the support with respect to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
[0019] To accommodate the conditions in rough terrain, such as on a mountainside, the support legs are designed to pivot at different angles to each other when in the working position. This allows one support leg of a support device to be pivoted further than the other. As a result, the support legs have different lateral extensions when in the working position, which are necessary due to the terrain or the expected load.
[0020] Agricultural and forestry vehicles typically have a hydraulic drive or connections to a hydraulic drive. It is therefore advantageous if the outriggers can be pivoted hydraulically, preferably via a piston-cylinder arrangement. Such a solution is cost-effective and efficient to implement. However, other motor-driven solutions for pivoting the outriggers are also conceivable, for example, electric motor drives.
[0021] Flexibility can be increased, in particular, if the support legs of a support device can be pivoted independently of each other. This allows even a support leg to be positioned independently while in a working position.
[0022] -2 WO BO / FB 13.04.2026 and the other supporting leg remain in the transport position or move into another working position.
[0023] The support legs of a support device can be arranged one behind the other with respect to the vehicle's longitudinal axis, and thus in two different planes perpendicular to the vehicle's longitudinal axis. This optimizes the space requirement, especially if the pivot joints of the support legs for swiveling are located on one side of a vertical plane through the vehicle's longitudinal axis, and the support feet are located on the other side of the vertical plane, thus dividing the workload.
[0024] For easy pivoting, the support leg is connected to the beam via a first joint at its end furthest from the support foot. This first joint is located on one side of the beam relative to the vehicle's longitudinal axis.
[0025] Telescoping can be ensured by providing the support leg with an outer leg and an inner leg guided within the outer leg and extendable relative to the outer leg, with the support foot being provided at the free end of the inner leg.
[0026] Preferably, the outer leg is connected to the support via the first joint and to the end of the piston rod furthest from the hydraulic cylinder.
[0027] The support legs can be motor-driven, in particular hydraulically via a piston-cylinder arrangement, or manually telescopic. Hydraulic telescoping of the support legs is preferred.
[0028] For this purpose, the piston-cylinder arrangement can be provided within the outer leg, with the cylinder being connected to the outer leg and the free end of the piston rod being connected to the inner leg.
[0029] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, when the support legs are retracted, the swivel radius during movement from the transport position to the working position and vice versa does not exceed the maximum lateral extent of the vehicle, with the swivel radius extending from a pivot axis of the support leg to the free end of the support leg. This enables a space-saving arrangement on the vehicle and also increases the vehicle's operating range.
[0030] -2 WO BO / FB 13.04.2026 extended. Therefore, no consideration needs to be given to objects positioned next to the vehicle when pivoting from the transport position to the working position and vice versa.
[0031] The vehicle may be equipped with means for receiving elongated general cargo on the base frame or with a trough / tub arranged on the frame for receiving bulk goods.
[0032] For example, the vehicle can be designed as a logging trailer and / or as a trailer.
[0033] According to a preferred embodiment, in a working position of the support legs where the support feet have the smallest lateral extent relative to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, the support feet are located within the maximum lateral extent of the vehicle. This achieves a high degree of flexibility and a wide range of applications in different environmental situations.
[0034] According to one embodiment of the invention, the support feet have several surface elements. Each surface element is assigned to a different swivel angle of the support leg in a working position.
[0035] In this design, each support foot, with its surface elements, can be pivotally and / or rotatably mounted at the end of the support leg. This reduces the loads on the support legs by preventing torque. The support feet can be easily connected to the inner leg via a ball joint.
[0036] Preferably, the crane has a grab at the end of its boom, for example for round timber. However, platforms at the end of the boom are also conceivable, where the crane structure serves as a lifting platform.
[0037] The present invention relates to agricultural and forestry applications. For these applications, requirements and standards must be met that differ from, for example, those for the commercial use of a vehicle equipped with a crane. The vehicles in question can be either powered or towed.
[0038] Further advantages, features and application possibilities of the present invention will become apparent from the following description in conjunction with the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawings.

[0051] -2 WO BO / FB 13.04.2026 have been driven out, and
[0052] Fig. 12 shows a perspective view of the vehicle's base frame with the crash device in the transport position.
[0053] Figures 1 to 12 show an embodiment of the invention in the form of a vehicle designed as a timber trailer 10. The timber trailer 10 is designed as a trailer and is provided with a base frame 12, which has a drawbar 14 at the front for coupling to a towing vehicle (not shown).
[0054] The base frame 12 has four wheel carriers 16a, 16b, 16c, 16d, each of which is fitted with a wheel 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d. The wheel 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d is rotatably mounted on the associated wheel carrier 16a, 16b, 16c, 16d.
[0055] On the base frame 12, four stake receptacles 22ai, 22bi, 22ci, 22di and 22a2, 22b2, 22c2, 22d2 are provided on each side relative to a longitudinal axis 20 of the timber trailer 10. Stakes 13 for transporting round timber can be inserted into these receptacles. The stake receptacles 22ai, 22bi, 22ci, 22di and 22a2, 22b2, 22c2, 22d2 are inserted into recesses 12ai, 12bi, 12ci, 12di and 12a2, 12b2, 22c2, 22d2 in the base frame 12 and project laterally. Recesses corresponding to the stakes 13 are provided at their free lateral ends. The stake receptacles 22ai, 22bi, 22c 1;22di and 22a2, 22b2, 22c2, 22d2 together with the base frame 12 form a loading area 24 with a loading platform. A stake 13 has been inserted into stake receptacles 12a! and 12a2 for illustrative purposes, but not into the other stake receptacles 22ci, 22di and 22a2, 22b2, 22c2, 22d2. This was omitted for the sake of clarity and presentation.
[0056] At the front, a front grille 26 is provided on the base frame 12, which limits the loading area 24 above the base frame 12 in a longitudinal direction of the timber trailer 10. A support device 28 is attached to the front grille 26.
[0057] Following the support device 28, a crane console 30 and an operating platform 32 with a control panel 34 are provided. The support device 28 and a crane (not shown here) can be controlled from the operating platform 32 via the control panel 34. The crane console 30 is designed to accommodate the rotatable [depicted in detail here] mounted on the crane console 30.
[0058] -2 WO BO / FB 13.04.2026 Crane designed with a telescopic boom and hydraulic grab attached to the free end of the boom.
[0059] The support device 28 comprises a support beam 36, which is connected to the base frame 12. Two support legs 38a and 38b are connected to the support beam 36 and are each pivotably mounted about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis 20 of the timber trailer 10. From the front, support leg 38a, which extends towards the right longitudinal side of the timber trailer 10, is located closer to the drawbar 14. Behind it, i.e., further away from the drawbar 14, support leg 38b, which extends towards the left longitudinal side of the timber trailer 10, is located. Thus, the support legs 38a and 38b of the support device 28 are arranged one behind the other with respect to the longitudinal axis 20 of the vehicle 10 and are therefore arranged in two different planes perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 20 of the vehicle 10 and are pivotable in these planes. This allows the space requirement in the direction of the longitudinal sides of the vehicle to be optimized.
[0060] Each support leg 38a, 38b has a support foot 40a, 40b at its free end. The support foot 40a, 40b is connected to the support leg 38a, 38b via a ball joint, which is not shown in detail here. Each support foot 40a, 40b has several surface elements 42ai, 42a2, 42aa, 42a4, 42bi, 42b2, 42bs, 42b4, which are arranged at an angle to each other and form the support foot 40a, 40b.
[0061] Each support leg 38a, 38b is provided with an outer leg 44a, 44b and an inner leg 46a, 46b telescopically mounted therein. The support foot 40a, 40b is connected to the free end of the inner leg 46a, 46b via the ball joint. The end of the outer leg 44a, 44b furthest from the inner leg 46a, 46b is connected to the support 36 via a pivot joint 48a, 48b and pivotally mounted thereon. At the end of the outer leg 44a, 44b facing the inner leg 46a, 46b, it is provided with a lug 50a, 50b which is pivotally connected to a piston rod of a piston-cylinder assembly 52a, 52b.
[0062] The piston of the piston-cylinder assembly 52a, 52b is connected to the support 36 via a pivot joint 54a, 54b, the axis of rotation of which is aligned parallel to the longitudinal axis 20 of the forwarder 10. The pivot joints 48a, 48b of the outer leg 44a, 44b and the pivot joints 54a, 54b of the piston of the piston-cylinder assembly 52a, 52b are each arranged on opposite sides with respect to the vertical longitudinal center plane through the longitudinal axis 20 of the forwarder 10. Viewed from the front, the pivot joint 48a of the outer leg 44a is located on the left side and the pivot joint 54a of the piston of the piston-cylinder assembly 52a is located on the right side of the support 36.
[0063] -2 WO BO / FB 13.04.2026 The pivot joint 48b of the outer leg 44b is located on the right side (viewed from the front) and the pivot joint 54b of the piston of the piston-cylinder assembly 52b is located on the left side of the support 36, see Figures 9 to 12. This results in a triangular structure for each support leg 38a, 38b, formed by the support 36, the associated pivot joints 48a, 48b of the outer leg 44a, 44b, and the associated pivot joints 54a, 54b of the piston of the piston-cylinder assembly 52a, 52b. This enables a force-saving and thus energy-optimized pivoting of the support legs 38a, 38b.
[0064] The inner leg 46a, 46b is telescopically designed relative to the outer leg 44a, 44b. For this purpose, the inner leg 46a, 46b is slidably mounted within the outer leg 44a, 44b. Both the outer leg 44a, 44b and the inner leg 46a, 46b are tubular in shape. Telescoping is achieved hydraulically, with a piston-cylinder assembly 56a, 56b arranged within the tubular outer leg 44a, 44b and the tubular inner leg 46a, 46b. The free end of the piston rod of the piston-cylinder assembly 56a, 56b is articulated to the support foot 40a, 40b via a pivot axis 58a, 58b. The cylinder of the piston-cylinder assembly 56a, 56b is pivotally connected to the outer leg 44a, 44b in the upper region of the outer leg 44a, 44b via a bearing axis 60. The arrangement of the piston-cylinder assembly 56a, 56b within the support leg 38a, 38b results in a space-saving design and a simple drive for telescoping.
[0065] As can be seen in particular from Fig. 4, the crane console 30 has a platform 62a, 62b on each side. In addition, the crane console 30 is provided with a safety handrail 64 in the direction of the operating platform 32.
[0066] The operating platform 32 has a support surface 66. The control panel 34 is located on the side facing the crane console 30 and is raised above the support surface 66 to allow comfortable operation by a user while standing. For this purpose, the control panel 34 is mounted on a support frame 68. A safety railing 70 is provided on the side opposite the support frame 68, which prevents the user from falling towards the drawbar 14 from the support surface 66 of the operating platform 32. A ladder 72 is attached to the right side of the support surface 66. The user can easily access the operating platform 32 via the ladder 72; see also Fig. 5.
[0067] As can be seen particularly in Fig. 12, the support 36 extends so far towards the drawbar 14 that the crane bracket 30 is also arranged on the support 36. Below the support 36
[0068] -2 WO BO / FB 13.04.2026, a pivot bracket 74 is provided on the end face of the base frame 12, via which the drawbar 14 is connected to the base frame 12; see also Fig. 5. The operating platform 32 is flanged to the end face 12e of the base frame 12 and the support 36. The base frame 12 comprises two longitudinal beams 12f, 12g and several crossbeams 12h. The support 36 also connects the two longitudinal beams 12f, 12g.
[0069] Figures 1 and 2 show the support device 28 in its transport position. Figure 1 shows a perspective view from an oblique angle above the timber trailer 10, and Figure 2 shows a corresponding front view of the timber trailer 10 from Figure 1. In this transport position, the support legs 38a, 38b are pivoted into a horizontal position and form an angle α of 180° with each other. The support feet 40a, 40b point in opposite directions, namely laterally away from the timber trailer 10, or in other words, perpendicular to the longitudinal median plane through the longitudinal axis 20 of the timber trailer 10. This also shows that with the support legs 38a, 38b retracted, the pivot radius when moving from the transport position to a working position and vice versa does not exceed the maximum lateral extent of the vehicle 10. The maximum lateral extent is defined by the wheels 18.The foremost end of the support leg 38a, 38b is formed by the support foot 40a, 40b. The support foot 40a, 40b does not extend beyond the maximum lateral extent.
[0070] In Figures 3 to 8, the support legs 38a, 38b are pivoted into a first working position. Figure 3 shows a front view of the timber trailer 10 with the support device 28 in the first working position. Figure 4 shows a top view and Figure 5 a side view of the timber trailer 10 with the support device 28 in the first working position. Figure 6 shows a perspective view of the base frame 12 with the support device 28 on the beam 36 in the first working position without any further attachments. Figure 7 is a corresponding top view of Figure 6, and Figure 8 is a corresponding side view of Figure 6.
[0071] In the first working position, both support legs 38a, 38b are each pivoted evenly about the pivot joint 48a, 48b, i.e., the piston-cylinder assembly 52a, 52b has been moved evenly on each side, and thus also the support legs 38a, 38b. Furthermore, the inner leg 46a, 46b is moved maximally out of the outer leg 44a, 44b. On a horizontal surface, the surface element 42aa of the support foot 42a and the surface element 42bs of the support foot 42b would rest on the ground.
[0072] -2 WO BO / FB 13.04.2026 Since the support legs 38a, 38b of the support device 28 can be moved independently of each other and individually controlled by the user via the control panel 34, the further working position of the support device 28 shown in Fig. 9 is also possible. The left support leg 38b remains in its original transport position. Only the right support leg 38a is pivoted downwards, but the inner leg 46a is not extended outwards relative to the outer leg 44a. Such a working position may be necessary, for example, in hilly and sloping terrain. This working position also shows that a lateral extension of the support legs 38a, 38b is possible in the working position, which does not exceed the maximum lateral extension of the vehicle 10.
[0073] Another working position of the fall arrest device 28 is shown in Fig. 10. In this position, both support legs 38a, 38b are pivoted downwards evenly from their transport position. The left support leg 38b is fully extended, while the right support leg 38a is not extended. Such a working position may also be necessary in hilly and sloping terrain.
[0074] Fig. 11 shows the working position of the support device 28, as can also be seen in Figures 3 to 8, but only the support device 28 is shown from the front.
[0075] In Fig. 12 the base frame 12 comprising the longitudinal beams 12f, 12d with the crossbeams 12h, the support 36 and the support device 28 is shown in the transport position.
[0076] The base frame 12 can also be equipped with a trough to allow the collection of bulk materials or cut material. Furthermore, hydraulic connections can be provided to pressurize the trailer with hydraulic pressure and to enable the hydraulic drive of the piston cylinder assemblies. Such designs are known and will therefore not be described in detail here.
