It features a grid-like pattern with numerous small, evenly spaced elements which are prongs for setting stones. The semi-circular component or Curvature below the bridge is a section of the shank, is joined through slots and then secured by soldering.

[0040] The ends of this section have tabs or connectors designed to attach to adjacent shank sections or to the bridge part.

[0041] Secure attachment points to main ring body

[0042] [Fig. 5] : Exploded View Components

[0043] Bridge is the centerpiece at the top of the exploded view. It's a geometrically patterned component that presumably forms the top section of the ring which might also house a setting for a gem or ornament.

[0044] There are three Shank parts which, when assembled, form a complete band that encircles the finger. They appear hollow, likely to accommodate the stretch mechanism for size adjustment. The shank curvature parts display intricate patterning, adding to the ring's aesthetic.

[0045] Titanium Split Circular Springs essential for the ring's adjustable functionality, these springs flushed within the shank parts. They are designed to provide 4-way stretch by expanding and contracting as needed.

[0046] Connector Pegs are the small protruding elements from the three parts of the shank, seen on the ends. They will fit into the holes / receptors on the adjacent shank parts or bridge to secure the whole structure upon assembly.

[0054] DETAILED DESCRIPTION SPLIT CIRCULAR RING MECHANISM

[0055] The FlexDCin autofit ring is an extendable jewellery finger ring designed to provide a comfortable fit for a range of finger sizes. The ring comprises the following key components:

[0056] A split circular spring made of resilient precious material, forming the main structure 102 of the ring 1.

[0057] A bridge 114, adding elegance and visual appeal to the ring 1.

[0058] Four separate titanium springs 118 symmetrically placed within hollow shanks of the ring 1. A 4-piece mounting made of resilient precious material, housing the springs and forming the outer structure of the ring 1.

[0059] The ring is designed to expand from a first configuration with a smaller diameter to a second configuration with a larger diameter, increasing by up to three standard finger sizes 1.

[0060] This expansion is achieved through the use of the titanium springs, which allow for uniform and smooth expansion and contraction of the ring 1.0063 When pressure is applied to the inside surface of the ring, such as when sliding it onto a finger, the ring expands circumferentially 1.

[0061] 0064 The first and second ends of the mounting, initially separated by a smaller gap, move apart to create a larger gap, thus increasing the diameter of the ring 1.

[0062] 0065 Once the pressure is removed, the ring contracts back to its original size, ensuring a snug fit on the wearer's finger 1.

[0063] 0066 The titanium springs are carefully designed and placed to provide optimal resistance and flexibility, allowing for easy expansion while maintaining the ring's shape and structural integrity 1.

[0064] 0067 The use of titanium ensures durability and resistance to fatigue over repeated expansions and contractions 1.

[0065] 0068 The bridge adds a luxurious touch to the ring while also serving as a focal point that remains stable during the ring's expansion and contraction 1.

[0066] 0069 This feature ensures that the ring maintains its aesthetic appeal regardless of its current size 1.

[0067] 0070 The FlexDCin autofit ring's unique design allows for easy fitting on various finger sizes without the need for resizing, making it an ideal choice for gifts or for individuals whose finger size may fluctuate 1.

[0068] 0071 The smooth expansion and contraction mechanism ensure comfort during wear, while the high- quality materials and craftsmanship maintain the ring's appearance and durability 1.

[0069] 0072 ASSEMBLY OF THE INVENTION:

[0070] 0073 Prepare the Shank 108: Begin with the three shank segments lying flat with interior cavities accessible for the springs.

[0071] 0074 Insert Springs 118: Place the titanium split circular springs inside the hollow areas of the shank parts. These should be positioned so that they will sit at a 90-degree angle relative to one another when the ring is fully assembled, allowing for even stretching.

[0072] 0075 Connect Shank 108 to Bridge 114: Align the connector pegs 130 of one shank part with the receiving holes 126 of the bridge. Gently but firmly press to fit the peg 130 into the hole, securing one side of the shank to the bridge.

[0073] 0076 Assemble Remaining Shank Parts: Continue to connect the remaining shank segments, ensuring that the springs 118 remain correctly in place within the interior cavities. Align the connector pegs 130 with their corresponding holes 126 and join the pieces together.

[0074] 0077 Complete the Band: With all shank segments connected to the bridge on both sides, the complete band should now form around the springs, allowing for flexibility in the ring size. Ensure all segments are securely fastened, and that there's a smooth transition between them.0078 Functionality Check: Finally, gently stretch the ring to ensure that the springs allow for proper extension and contraction. The fit and comfort of the finished piece should be tested.
