Description

TITLE OF THE INVENTION:MOUNTING UNITS IN A SADDLE TYPE VEHICLETECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present subject matter generally relates to a vehicle. More particularly, the present invention relates to a mounting unit for mounting one or more components of the vehicle.BACKGROUND

[0002] In a vehicle, various components are often mounted using separate brackets to ensure proper function and alignment. Each component may require a separate mounting bracket for mounting on a frame of the vehicle or in an internal combustion engine of the vehicle, leading to a significant increase in the number of individual parts and child parts involved in the assembly process. This results in a higher part count, which not only complicates the assembly process but also increases the overall complexity of the vehicle as well as increase weigh and cost of the vehicle. The higher the number of parts, the more difficult it becomes to manage and control the assembly line, leading to longer manufacturing times and additional labor costs.

[0003] One of the significant issues arising from the increased number of parts related to mounting is the impact on packaging and mounting in the vehicle, specially on the IC engine of the vehicle. Packaging is a critical consideration in vehicle manufacturing, and higher number of parts takes up more space and makes the packaging process more complex and increase assembly time. This results in packaging inefficiencies, as it becomes difficult to fit more number of parts in the limited available space, especially in two wheeled vehicle where space is less for packaging and / or mounting.

[0004] As more parts are added to the vehicle, there is also an increase in the assembly time resulting in increase in total cost of production as well as increase weight of the vehicle. The assembly time, vehicle weight and overall vehicle costs rise due to the need for more brackets, fasteners, and other accessories, in addition to the increased labour involved in handling and assembling the parts. Furthermore, with an increased number of parts, there is a higher likelihood of errors during assembly, leading to waste, rework, and increased assembly time.In addition, in two-wheeled vehicles, the limited packaging and mounting space, especially around the IC engine, poses significant challenges. Numerous componentsneed to be configured in this constrained area, and the requirement for individual mounting brackets for mounting each component further complicates the packaging and mounting situation. The space available on the IC engine for mounting provisions is limited, making it difficult to accommodate all necessary components. Further, the existing an air duct and an engine guard are mounted using two separate brackets on either side of the engine crankcase. This existing mounting technique require more number numbers of mounting provisions on the IC engine, increases the number of child parts including mounting brackets and fasteners on the vehicle, leading to packaging constraints, design complexity, and an overall increase in vehicle weight.

[0005] To navigate these challenges, there’s a need to optimize space, reduce the number of mounting brackets, fasteners and mounting provisions on the IC engine, to simplify the design, reduce assembly time and reduce the vehicle's weight without compromising the vehicle’s functionality and performance is crucial. Thus, there is a need in the art for a mounting assembly in a vehicle which addresses at least the aforementioned problems and other problems of known art.

[0006] Further limitations and disadvantages of conventional and traditional approaches will become apparent to one of skill in the art, through comparison of described systems with some aspects of the present disclosure, as set forth in the remainder of the present application and with reference to the drawings.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
