Abstract
Description
Information Processing Apparatus, and Information Processing Method
[0001] The present disclosure relates to an information processing apparatus and an information processing method.
[0002] In recent years, user support activities (so-called fan activities) for competition teams such as baseball, soccer, or basketball, or groups that perform idol activities, individuals, or virtual characters, have become increasingly active.
[0003] Accordingly, in order to further energize fan activities by users, the provision of services that further enhance the satisfaction and enjoyment of users engaging in fan activities is under consideration.
[0004] For example, Patent Document 1 below discloses a technique for changing the state of one or more virtual lockers arranged in a virtual clubhouse based on match information.
[0005] International Publication No. 2024 / 128045
[0006] However, the technique disclosed in Patent Document 1 is a technique specialized for fan activities for competition teams that hold matches such as baseball, soccer, or basketball. Therefore, it did not enhance the satisfaction and enjoyment of users who perform fan activities for targets such as groups, individuals, or virtual characters that perform idol activities.
[0007] Accordingly, the present disclosure proposes a service provision technique capable of further enhancing the enjoyment of users who perform fan activities for targets that perform idol activities.
[0008] According to the present disclosure, there is provided an information processing apparatus comprising: an issuing unit that issues a badge corresponding to the fan activity to the user in response to the user's fan activity for a group including a plurality of members; and a combining unit that generates a title to be granted to the user by combining the badges in a predetermined combination.
[0009] Furthermore, this disclosure provides a computer-based information processing method that includes issuing a badge to a user corresponding to the user's fan activities with respect to a group that includes multiple members, and generating a title to be assigned to the user by combining the badges in a predetermined combination.

[0011] Preferred embodiments of this disclosure will be described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings. In this specification and the drawings, components having substantially the same functional configuration are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant descriptions will be omitted.
[0012] The explanation will be presented in the following order: 1. Overview 2. Configuration Example 3. Operation Example 4. Hardware Configuration
[0013] <1. Overview> An overview of an information processing device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to Figure 1. Figure 1 is an illustrative diagram illustrating the overview of the information processing device 10 according to the present embodiment.
[0014] As shown in Figure 1, the information processing device 10 is an information processing server that provides services to enhance the enjoyment of users F who engage in fan activities with the subject of idol activities.
[0015] Idol activities refer to a wide range of entertainment activities, such as singing, dancing, or acting, that fully emphasize a person's character. The subject of idol activities may be a group G consisting of multiple members M, as shown in Figure 1, an individual, or a virtual character using a 3D character or an animated character. In the following, the information processing device 10 according to this embodiment will be described using the case where the subject of idol activities is a group G consisting of multiple members M as an example.
[0016] Specifically, the information processing device 10 issues a badge Bt to user F who has engaged in fan activities for group G. The information processing device 10 issues different badges Bt corresponding to the type and content of the fan activities performed by user F, thereby adding a badge Bt collection element to the fan activities performed by user F. As a result, the information processing device 10 can allow user F to enjoy fan activities for group G as activities to collect badges Bt, thereby increasing the enjoyment of user F in engaging in fan activities.
[0017] Furthermore, the information processing device 10 can generate titles to be assigned to user F by combining issued badges Bt in predetermined combinations (for example, combinations containing multiple badges Bt of at least one type). By generating different titles for each combination of badges Bt, the information processing device 10 can add a title-collecting element to the fan activities performed by user F. Moreover, by concealing from user F which titles are generated for which combinations of badges Bt, the information processing device 10 can also add a title-searching element to the fan activities performed by user F. In this way, the information processing device 10 can allow user F to enjoy fan activities for group G as both title-searching and title-collecting activities, thereby enhancing the enjoyment of user F in their fan activities.
[0018] Group G could be, for example, an idol group, a talent group, or a competitive team group, which includes multiple members M. User F may set at least one of the members M of Group G as a favorite.
[0019] User F's fan activities towards Group G refer to activities that support Group G's activities. Specifically, User F's fan activities may include joining Group G's fan club or consuming content C related to Group G.
[0020] Content C related to Group G includes live performances, events, merchandise, videos, blogs, television programs, radio programs, or social media posts related to Group G. Group G can create Content C by forming a fan club, holding live performances or events, selling merchandise, distributing videos (content videos or music videos, etc.) or blogs, or disseminating information through television programs, radio programs, or social media. Users F can support Group G through fan activities such as consuming these Content C related to Group G or joining Group G's fan club.
[0021] Badge Bt is a token issued to user F by the information processing device 10 in accordance with the type and content of the fan activity performed by user F. The information processing device 10 may issue different types of Badge Bt depending on the type and content of the fan activity. For example, by representing each type of Badge Bt with images of different coin-shaped or badge-shaped fragments, it is possible to increase the motivation of user F to collect Badge Bt as a souvenir. Badge Bt may be a token that can be transferred or exchanged between users F, or it may be a token unique to user F that cannot be transferred or exchanged between users F.
[0022] The information processing device 10 may, for example, issue a badge Bt to the account of user F managed by the information processing device 10 and also grant a title. User F can check the badge Bt issued for their fan activities and the title granted to them by connecting to the information processing device 10 using a terminal device 20 such as a smartphone, tablet, personal computer, or wearable device.
[0023] Furthermore, the information processing device 10 may generate a virtual space for each user F account where an avatar corresponding to user F is placed. The information processing device 10 can further activate communication between users F through the virtual space and avatars. The information processing device 10 may, for example, display the title assigned to user F in the virtual space. The information processing device 10 may also further assign digital items to user F that can be placed or used in the virtual space in association with the title assigned to user F. This makes it possible for the information processing device 10 to further activate communication between users F who engage in fan activities for group G.
[0024] Furthermore, the information processing device 10 may function as a portal (a so-called portal) for user F's fan activities related to group G. Specifically, the information processing device 10 may generate a web page on which content C (videos, blogs, or SNS distributions) is posted, a web page for applying to participate in or purchase content C (live performances, events, or merchandise), or a web page announcing the holding of content C (live performances, events, television programs, or radio programs). The information processing device 10 may also generate a web page on which links to the above web pages are posted. By connecting to the information processing device 10 from the terminal device 20, user F can access each of the contents C related to group G via the information processing device 10.
[0025] According to this, the information processing device 10 can consolidate the contact points for fan activities for group G, thereby collecting data such as the type, frequency, number of times, and duration of fan activities performed by user F for group G. Therefore, the information processing device 10 can collect data that can serve as hints for more efficiently carrying out activities by group G.
[0026] <2. Configuration Example> Referring to Figures 2 to 5, a configuration example of the information processing device 10 according to this embodiment will be described. Figure 2 is a block diagram showing the internal configuration of the information processing device 10 according to this embodiment.
[0027] As shown in Figure 2, the information processing device 10 includes an interface unit 110, an issuing unit 120, a synthesis unit 130, a space generation unit 140, and a linking unit 150.
[0028] The interface unit 110 generates an interface with the terminal device 20 operated by user F. Specifically, the interface unit 110 manages user F's account and may generate an image for each user F account that serves as the interface with the terminal device 20 operated by user F. The image generated by the interface unit 110 may display, for example, the type and number of badges Bt issued for user F's fan activities, as well as the title assigned to user F. By checking the image generated by the interface unit 110, user F can confirm the badges Bt and titles collected through fan activities for group G.
[0029] The issuing unit 120 issues a badge Bt corresponding to a fan activity when the user F engages in fan activity for group G. Specifically, the issuing unit 120 may issue a badge Bt corresponding to a fan activity that meets predetermined issuance conditions for group G, as defined for each predetermined issuance condition. The issuing unit 120 may issue one or more badges Bt for a single issuance condition, and may issue one or more types of badges Bt.
[0030] Referring to Figure 3, the issuance conditions under which the issuing unit 120 issues a badge Bt for user F's fan activities will be explained. Figure 3 is an illustrative diagram explaining the issuance conditions for badge Bt. As shown in Figure 3, the issuance conditions for badge Bt include a trigger condition TC of at least 1 to N (where N is any natural number) and a prerequisite PC of at least 0 to M (where M is any natural number).
[0031] The trigger condition TC includes the target condition TC1 and the content condition TC2.
[0032] Target condition TC1 is a condition that specifies the target of fan activities. For example, target condition TC1 may specify the types of content C related to group G, such as live performances, events, merchandise, videos, blogs, television programs, radio programs, or SNS distributions, as the target of fan activities. Alternatively, target condition TC1 may specify the fan club of group G, or members M of group G, as the target of fan activities.
[0033] Furthermore, the target condition TC1 may specify content C relating to a specific member M of group G as the target of fan activities. In this case, the issuing unit 120 can issue a badge Bt corresponding to the specific member M to a user F who has consumed various content C relating to a specific member M of group G.
[0034] Content condition TC2 is a condition that specifies the content of fan activities. For example, content condition TC2 may specify that fan activities include actions that consume content C, such as live performances, events, merchandise, videos, blogs, television programs, radio programs, or SNS broadcasts (i.e., participation, purchase, viewing, or browsing). Content condition TC2 may further specify the number or amount of actions that consume content C (e.g., the amount spent). In addition, content condition TC2 may specify that fan activities include actions such as joining the fan club of group G or setting at least one member M of group G as a favorite, and may further specify the duration of these actions (joining the fan club or setting member M as a favorite).
[0035] Furthermore, content condition TC2 may include conditions related to external factors such as member M joining or leaving group G. According to this, the issuing unit 120 can issue a badge Bt corresponding to member M joining or leaving group G to user F at the time member M joins or leaves group G.
[0036] The prerequisite PC includes, for example, a deadline condition PC1 related to the deadline and a location condition PC2 related to the location. However, the prerequisite PC may include conditions other than the deadline condition PC1 and the location condition PC2. Also, as mentioned above, the issuance conditions for badge Bt do not necessarily have to include prerequisite PCs.
[0037] Deadline condition PC1 is a condition that specifies the deadline by which the trigger condition can be met. If the trigger condition TC is met by the deadline specified by Deadline condition PC1, the issuing unit 120 can issue a badge Bt corresponding to the trigger condition TC to the user F who has met the trigger condition TC. On the other hand, if the deadline specified by Deadline condition PC1 has passed, the issuing unit 120 will not determine that the trigger condition TC has been met, even if a fan action corresponding to the trigger condition TC has been performed, and will not issue a badge Bt. Deadline condition PC1 may be set as an issuance condition related to fan activities for content C such as live performances, events, television programs, radio programs, or SNS distributions that have a limited duration.
[0038] Location condition PC2 is a condition that specifies the range of locations where the trigger condition can be met. If the trigger condition TC is met within the range of locations specified by location condition PC2, the issuing unit 120 can issue a badge Bt corresponding to the trigger condition TC to the user F who met the trigger condition TC. On the other hand, outside the range specified by location condition PC2, the issuing unit 120 does not determine that the trigger condition TC has been met, even if a fan action corresponding to the trigger condition TC has occurred, and does not issue a badge Bt. Location condition PC2 may be set as an issuance condition related to fan activities for content C such as a live performance or event held at a limited location.
[0039] Furthermore, the prerequisite PC may include favorite conditions related to favorites set for at least one member M of group G. Specifically, a favorite condition is a condition that makes it possible to satisfy the trigger condition by setting a specific member M of group G as a favorite. For example, if the trigger condition TC is satisfied while a specific member M of group G is set as a favorite, the issuing unit 120 can issue a badge Bt corresponding to the trigger condition TC to the user F who has satisfied the trigger condition TC. On the other hand, if a specific member M of group G is not set as a favorite, the issuing unit 120 will not determine that the trigger condition TC has been satisfied even if a fan action corresponding to the trigger condition TC is performed, and will not issue a badge Bt.
[0040] Furthermore, the prerequisite PC may specify the number or amount of actions that consume content C (e.g., duration or amount consumed) as conditions that can satisfy the trigger condition. For example, the prerequisite PC may specify the duration of membership in the fan club or the duration of member M's favorite setting as conditions that can satisfy the trigger condition.
[0041] The issuing unit 120 can set the issuance conditions shown in Table 1 below by combining the trigger condition TC and the prerequisite PC, and issue a badge Bt to a user F who has performed a fan activity that satisfies the issuance conditions. Note that "-" in Table 1 indicates that the prerequisite PC has not been set.
[0042]
[0043] Note that the information processing apparatus 10 can determine whether or not the user F has consumed the content C by allowing the user F to consume or apply for consumption of the content C (live performance, event, video, blog, online live stream, online handshake event, or fan club) using the information processing apparatus 10 as a portal. In addition, the information processing apparatus 10 can determine that the user F owns the goods by using reading of an RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) tag attached to the goods, reading of an image code such as a QR Code (registered trademark) attached to the goods, or image analysis of a captured image of the goods. Furthermore, the information processing apparatus 10 can determine whether or not the user has participated in a live performance or event held at a predetermined venue by using the user's location information (for example, GNSS information).
[0044] In addition, the issuing unit 120 may issue the badge Bt corresponding to the member M set as a favorite to the user F at a predetermined timing. For example, the issuing unit 120 may issue the badge Bt corresponding to the member M set as a favorite to the user F when the duration of the favorite setting for the member M reaches a predetermined timing such as 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year.
[0045] At this time, when the user F has set a plurality of members M as favorites, the issuing unit 120 may control the number of badges Bt corresponding to the members M to be issued according to the number of members M set as favorites. For example, the issuing unit 120 may issue to the user F the number of badges Bt corresponding to each of the members M obtained by dividing the total number of badges Bt to be issued by the number of members M set as favorites.
[0046] The synthesizing unit 130 generates a title to be granted to the user F by synthesizing a plurality of badges Bt in a predetermined combination. Specifically, the synthesizing unit 130 may generate the title to be granted to the user F by synthesizing a plurality of badges Bt including at least one or more types of badges Bt in a predetermined combination. In addition, the synthesizing unit 130 may further grant a digital item associated with the generated title to the user F.
[0047] With reference to FIG. 4, the generation of the title Ti by the combining unit 130 will be described in more detail. FIG. 4 is an image diagram for explaining the generation of the title Ti by combining the badges Bt.
[0048] As shown in FIG. 4, the combining unit 130 may generate the title Ti (in FIG. 4, "XX Favorite") by combining a plurality of badges Bt (in FIG. 4, badge A, badge B, and badge C). The generated title Ti can be represented, for example, as a card-shaped image in a virtual space generated by a space generation unit 140 to be described later.
[0049] In addition, the combining unit 130 may generate a digital item It associated with the generated title Ti. For example, in FIG. 4, digital items It of a penlight and a T-shirt associated with the title Ti are generated and provided to the user F together with the title Ti. These digital items It can be arranged in a virtual space generated by a space generation unit 140 to be described later, or can be worn or used by an avatar arranged in the virtual space.
[0050] The predetermined combination capable of generating the title Ti does not need to be explicitly presented to the user F. However, the predetermined combination capable of generating the title Ti may be inferable based on the commonality between the badges Bt (for example, issuance conditions, images of the badges Bt, names of the badges Bt, etc.), or hints presented from the information processing apparatus 10 or the like. According to this, the user F can search for the combination of badges Bt from which the title Ti is generated while examining and inferring it like solving a mystery. Therefore, the information processing apparatus 10 allows the user F to enjoy fan activities for the group G even as an activity of searching for or collecting the title Ti.
[0051] Badges Bt used to generate title Ti are destroyed by synthesis. However, certain badges Bt may be prevented from being destroyed by synthesis. For example, badges Bt issued to user F who is a member of group G's fan club, or badges Bt with extremely strict issuance conditions and high difficulty of acquisition (for example, badges that can only be issued for a limited period and location, or badges that can only be issued after engaging in many fan activities), may be set not to be destroyed even when used to generate title Ti. In this case, the information processing device 10 can further enhance the sense of exclusivity of these non-destroying badges Bt, thereby increasing the satisfaction of user F who possesses them.
[0052] The space generation unit 140 generates a two-dimensional or three-dimensional virtual space for each user F, in which the user F's avatar is placed. Specifically, the space generation unit 140 may generate a virtual space in which the title Ti and digital item It generated by the synthesis unit 130 can be placed as a collection. The virtual space generated by the space generation unit 140 is displayed, for example, on a terminal device 20 connected to the information processing device 10. User F can view the badge Bt issued for their fan activities, the assigned title Ti, and the digital item It as a collection in the virtual space.
[0053] Referring to Figure 5, the virtual space generated by the space generation unit 140 will be explained in more detail. Figure 5 is a diagram showing an example of a virtual space VR in which user F's avatar Av is placed.
[0054] As shown in Figure 5, the space generation unit 140 may generate a virtual reality (VR) space that mimics a study or bedroom. However, the space generation unit 140 may also generate a virtual reality (VR) space that mimics a Japanese-style room, a Western-style room, or a locker room, or a virtual reality (VR) space that mimics an outdoor space such as a garden or a sports field, or a virtual reality (VR) space that mimics an extraordinary space such as a spaceship cabin.
[0055] Below the virtual space VR generated by the space generation unit 140, titles Ti assigned to user F (in Figure 5, "LIVE MASTER", "MUSIC LOVER", and "XX Favorite") are displayed as card-shaped images. User F's avatar Av is displayed in the center of the virtual space VR. User F can have avatar Av wear digital items It assigned in association with title Ti. User F can also place and decorate the virtual space VR with digital items It assigned in association with title Ti.
[0056] The virtual space VR generated by the space generation unit 140 may, for example, allow user F's avatars Av to visit each other. In this case, the information processing device 10 can make communication between users F more active by allowing user F's avatars Av to move back and forth between each other's virtual space VR. Furthermore, by making communication between users F more active, it is possible to further increase the satisfaction of user F who possesses a large number of titles Ti and digital items It.
[0057] The collaboration unit 150 collaborates with an external server. For example, the collaboration unit 150 may provide user F with a link to an external server where group G's content C is located, thereby creating a pathway from the terminal device 20 operated by user F to the content C. In this way, the collaboration unit 150 can enable user F to reach each of the content C located on the external server via the information processing device 10, making it possible to make the information processing device 10 function as a window (so-called portal) for user F's fan activities with group G.
[0058] Furthermore, the linking unit 150 may acquire information notifying user F of content C consumption from an external server where content C is located. In this case, the information processing device 10 can issue badge Bt even for content C consumption by user F that does not go through the information processing device 10. For example, the linking unit 150 may acquire information notifying user F of content C consumption from an external server where a website selling tickets for live performances or events is located, an external server where a website selling merchandise is located, an external server where videos or blogs are located, an external server where SNS distribution takes place, or an external server that manages fan club activities and memberships. In addition, the linking unit 150 can also acquire data on fan activities performed by user F towards group G from an external server and aggregate and store this data in the information processing device 10.
[0059] The information processing device 10, having the above configuration, allows user F to enjoy their fan activities for group G as activities related to collecting badges Bt and titles Ti for group G. Therefore, the information processing device 10 can further enhance the enjoyment of user F who engages in fan activities for group G.
[0060] <3. Operation Examples> The operation flow of the information processing device 10 according to this embodiment will be explained with reference to Figures 6 and 7. Figure 6 is a flowchart illustrating the operation flow of the information processing device 10 according to this embodiment when issuing a badge Bt. Figure 7 is a flowchart illustrating the operation flow of the information processing device 10 according to this embodiment when synthesizing a title Ti.
[0061] In the operation when issuing badge Bt, as shown in Figure 6, first, the information processing device 10 detects the execution of fan activity by user F (S101). For example, the information processing device 10 may detect the execution of fan activity by user F by detecting fan activity performed via the information processing device 10. As another example, the information processing device 10 may detect the execution of fan activity by user F by obtaining information related to the fan activity by user F from an external server. As yet another example, the information processing device 10 may detect the execution of fan activity by user F by obtaining various information such as image information, location information, or reading information of an image code (such as a QR code (registered trademark)) that serves as evidence of the fan activity by user F from the terminal device 20.
[0062] Next, the information processing device 10 determines whether the detected fan activity satisfies the conditions for issuing badge Bt (S103). Specifically, the information processing device 10 may determine that the detected fan activity satisfies the conditions for issuing badge Bt if both the prerequisite PC and the trigger condition TC included in the issuance conditions are met.
[0063] Next, if the detected fan activity satisfies the conditions for issuing a badge Bt (S103 / YES), the information processing device 10 issues a badge Bt corresponding to the detected fan activity to user F (S105). Specifically, the information processing device 10 may pre-set the type and number of badges Bt to be issued for each issuance condition, and if the detected fan activity satisfies the conditions for issuing a badge Bt, it may issue a badge Bt of the type and number set for that issuance condition to user F.
[0064] On the other hand, if the detected fan activity does not meet the conditions for issuing badge Bt (S103 / NO), the information processing device 10 returns to step S101 to detect the execution of the fan activity.
[0065] According to the above workflow, the information processing device 10 according to this embodiment can issue a badge Bt corresponding to the fan activity to a user F who is performing fan activities for group G.
[0066] In the operation of synthesizing title Ti, as shown in Figure 7, first, the information processing device 10 receives an instruction from user F via terminal device 20 to synthesize badges Bt and generate title Ti (S201). Specifically, the information processing device 10 receives an instruction to synthesize a selected type and number of badges Bt from among the badges Bt owned by user F and generate title Ti.
[0067] Next, the information processing device 10 determines whether the combination of badges Bt instructed to be synthesized corresponds to a predetermined combination capable of generating a title Ti (S203). If the combination of badges Bt instructed to be synthesized corresponds to a combination capable of generating a title Ti (S203 / YES), the information processing device 10 generates a title Ti by synthesizing the badges Bt instructed to be synthesized (S205). As a result, the information processing device 10 can assign the generated title Ti to user F (S207).
[0068] On the other hand, if the combination of badges Bt instructed to be synthesized does not correspond to a combination capable of generating title Ti (S203 / NO), the information processing device 10 notifies user F that the combination of badges Bt instructed to be synthesized does not correspond to a combination capable of generating title Ti, and terminates its operation.
[0069] If the generated title Ti is assigned to user F, the information processing device 10 may further assign user F a digital item It associated with the generated title Ti (S209). The assigned digital item It is placed, for example, as a collection in a virtual space VR generated for each user F (S211). Depending on the type of digital item It, the assigned digital item It may also be worn or used by user F's avatar Av placed in the virtual space VR. Furthermore, the generated title Ti may be displayed as a card-shaped image in the virtual space VR.
[0070] According to the above workflow, the information processing device 10 according to this embodiment can assign the title Ti generated by synthesizing badge Bt to user F.
[0071] Therefore, the information processing device 10 according to this embodiment allows user F to enjoy their fan activities as activities related to collecting badges Bt and titles Ti related to group G.
[0072] <4. Hardware Configuration> The embodiments of the present disclosure have been described above. The information processing described above is realized through the cooperation of software and hardware. Below, an example of the hardware configuration of a computer 1000 that can be applied to the information processing apparatus 10 according to one embodiment of the present disclosure will be described.
[0073] Figure 8 is a hardware configuration diagram showing an example of a computer 1000 that implements the functions of the information processing device 10. The computer 1000 includes a processing circuitry 1100, a RAM (Random Access Memory) 1200, a ROM (Read Only Memory) 1300, a secondary storage device 1400, a communication interface 1500, an input / output interface 1600, a display unit 1700, a camera unit 1800, a microphone 1900, and a speaker 2000. The various parts of the computer 1000 are connected by a bus 1050.
[0074] The processing circuit 1100 operates based on a program stored in the ROM 1300 or secondary storage device 1400, and controls each part. For example, the processing circuit 1100 loads the program stored in the ROM 1300 or secondary storage device 1400 into the RAM 1200 and executes processing corresponding to various programs.
[0075] ROM 1300 stores boot programs such as the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) executed by the processing circuit 1100 when the computer 1000 starts up, as well as programs that depend on the computer 1000's hardware.
[0076] The secondary storage device 1400 is a computer-readable recording medium that non-temporarily stores programs executed by the processing circuit 1100 and data used by the program. Specifically, the secondary storage device 1400 is a recording medium that records programs that execute each process of the information processing device 10 according to one embodiment of the present disclosure as program data 1450.
[0077] The communication interface 1500 is an interface for the computer 1000 to connect to the external network 1550. For example, the processing circuit 1100 can receive data from other devices or transmit data it has generated to other devices via the communication interface 1500.
[0078] The input / output interface 1600 is an interface for connecting the input / output device 1650 and the computer 1000. For example, the processing circuit 1100 receives data from input devices such as a microphone 1900 or a touch panel via the input / output interface 1600. The processing circuit 1100 also transmits data to output devices such as a display unit 1700 or a speaker 2000 via the input / output interface 1600. The input / output interface 1600 may also function as a media interface for reading programs recorded on a predetermined recording medium (media).
