Description

Excrement absorption sheet for pets

[0001] The present invention relates to an excrement absorption sheet for pets.

[0002] As disclosed in Patent Document 1, an absorption sheet for pets that absorbs excrement of pets is known. In general, after the pet absorption sheet shown in Patent Document 1 has absorbed excrement for a predetermined period, the owner replaces the pet absorption sheet.

[0003] Utility Model Registration No. 3218665 Publication

[0004] When replacing the pet absorption sheet as in Patent Document 1, the owner has to handle the pet absorption sheet that has absorbed excrement, so it is easy to feel a psychological burden such as bad odor or getting hands dirty. On the other hand, even if the pet feels better after the pet absorption sheet is replaced, the pet cannot verbalize its feelings, making it difficult to convey the mood to the owner.

[0005] The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide a pet absorption sheet that easily promotes interaction between an owner and a pet.

[0006] The main invention for achieving the above object is an excrement absorption sheet for pets, comprising: a top sheet disposed on the front surface side; a back sheet disposed on the back surface side; and an absorbent core provided between the top sheet and the back sheet, the excrement absorption sheet for pets having a message display visible from the front surface side or the back surface side, wherein the message display is a display indicating a message directed from the pet to the owner of the pet, or a display indicating a message directed from the owner to the pet. Other features of the present invention will be clarified by the description of the present specification and the accompanying drawings.

[0007] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an excrement absorption sheet for pets that easily promotes interaction between an owner and a pet.

[0017] (Aspect 5) A pet waste absorption sheet according to any of aspects 1 to 4, characterized in that it has a vertical and horizontal direction that intersects with each other, the message display has one or more characters, and the longer of the vertical or horizontal length of the largest character is greater than 5% of the shorter of the vertical or horizontal length of the waste absorption sheet.

[0018] These pet waste absorption sheets make it easier for pet owners to see messages, thus promoting interaction between owners and their pets.

[0019] (Aspect 6) A pet waste absorption sheet according to any of aspects 1 to 5, characterized in that it has a pattern or string of characters having intersecting vertical and horizontal directions and positioned differently from the message display, and the area of the rectangle partitioned by the vertical and horizontal directions that circumscribing the message display is larger than the area of the largest rectangle partitioned by the vertical and horizontal directions that circumscribing each of the pattern or string of characters.

[0020] These pet waste absorption sheets make it easier for pet owners to see messages, thus promoting interaction between owners and their pets.

[0021] (Aspect 7) A pet waste absorption sheet according to any of aspects 1 to 6, characterized in that it has a vertical and horizontal direction that intersects with each other, and the message display is provided at at least one end of the four equal parts obtained by dividing the waste absorption sheet into the vertical or horizontal direction.

[0022] With pet waste absorption sheets like these, even after the sheet has absorbed the waste, the risk of the message being obscured by the absorbed waste can be reduced.

[0023] (Aspect 8) The pet waste absorption sheet according to aspect 7 is characterized in that the message display is provided in the portion adjacent to the center of the vertical division of the waste absorption sheet into four equal parts in the vertical direction, and not in the portion adjacent to the center of the horizontal division of the waste absorption sheet into four equal parts in the horizontal direction.

[0024] With pet waste absorption sheets like these, even after the sheet has absorbed the waste, the risk of the message being obscured by the absorbed waste can be reduced.

[0025] (Aspect 9) The absorbent core is provided inside the outer edge of the excrement absorbent sheet, and when either the vertical or horizontal direction is defined as a predetermined direction, if the message display is provided at at least one end of the four equal parts obtained by dividing the excrement absorbent sheet in the predetermined direction, then on one side in the predetermined direction, at least a part of the message display is provided in an area on the other side of the absorbent core in the predetermined direction, from one end of the absorbent core in the predetermined direction to the other end, the length from one end of the excrement absorbent sheet in the predetermined direction to one end of the absorbent core in the predetermined direction. This is the pet excrement absorbent sheet according to aspect 7 or 8.

[0026] With pet waste absorption sheets like these, even after the sheet has absorbed the waste, the risk of the message being obscured by the absorbed waste can be reduced.

[0048] According to such a pet excrement-absorbing sheet, the message displayed by reading the identifier of the identifier display enables the owner to make their feelings toward the pet more positive and to more easily be aware of the pet's presence, thereby facilitating the promotion of interaction between the owner and the pet.

[0049] === First Embodiment === The pet excrement-absorbing sheet according to the present embodiment (hereinafter also referred to as "excrement-absorbing sheet") is used by animals such as cats kept indoors, for example. "Animals" include not only so-called pets such as cats, dogs, rabbits and hamsters, but also baby tigers, baby lions and the like.

[0050] <<Basic Configuration of Pet Absorbent Sheet 1>> FIG. 1 is a plan view of the excrement-absorbing sheet 1. FIG. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along line A-A in FIG. 1. FIG. 1 is a view of the excrement-absorbing sheet 1 in an unfolded state as viewed from the front side.

[0051] The excrement-absorbing sheet 1 is a sheet member having a rectangular shape in plan view, and has a longitudinal direction, a lateral direction, and a thickness direction that are orthogonal to each other. In the following description, in the thickness direction, the excrement surface side that receives animal excrement is referred to as the front side, and the non-excrement surface side opposite thereto is referred to as the back side. The planar shape of the excrement-absorbing sheet 1 is not limited to a rectangular shape. In the present embodiment, the longitudinal direction of the excrement-absorbing sheet 1 is defined as the vertical direction, and the lateral direction of the excrement-absorbing sheet 1 is defined as the transverse direction, but the present invention is not limited thereto. The longitudinal direction of the excrement-absorbing sheet 1 may be defined as the transverse direction, and the lateral direction thereof may be defined as the vertical direction.

[0052] The excrement absorption sheet 1 comprises a liquid-permeable surface sheet 11, a liquid-impermeable back sheet 12 located on the back side of the surface sheet 11 in the thickness direction of the excrement absorption sheet 1, and an absorbent core 20 located between the surface sheet 11 and the back sheet 12. Examples of the surface sheet 11 include nonwoven fabric (e.g., air-through nonwoven fabric). Examples of the back sheet 12 include a resin film sheet.

[0053] The absorbent core 20 has a planar shape that is slightly smaller than the surface sheet 11 and the back sheet 12. As shown in Figure 1, a joint 13 is formed at the peripheral edge of the excrement absorbent sheet 1, outside the absorbent core 20, where the surface sheet 11 and the back sheet 12 are joined together. Examples of joining methods at the joint 13 include joining by adhesive or welding. The joint 13 helps to suppress the seepage of excrement.

[0054] Furthermore, as shown in Figure 2, the absorbent core 20 includes a first absorbent layer 21, a second absorbent layer 22 located on the back side of the first absorbent layer 21 in the thickness direction, a third absorbent layer located on the back side of the second absorbent layer, and a cover sheet 53 that covers the first absorbent layer 21, the second absorbent layer 22, and the third absorbent layer 23. In this embodiment, the absorbent core 20 is formed by the first absorbent layer 21, the second absorbent layer 22, and the third absorbent layer 23, but it is not limited to this. The absorbent core 20 may be an absorbent core consisting of one layer, or an absorbent core formed of multiple layers.

[0055] In this embodiment, the first absorbent layer is molded from liquid-absorbent fibers, the second absorbent layer is molded from superabsorbent polymer (SAP), and the third absorbent layer contains superabsorbent polymer (SAP) in addition to liquid-absorbent fibers. In this embodiment, the liquid-absorbent fibers are pulp fibers, but are not limited thereto. For example, the liquid-absorbent fibers may be cellulose fibers such as rayon fibers or cotton fibers, or synthetic fibers such as polyethylene, either alone or in combination.

[0056] The device includes a first intermediate sheet 31 covering the surface of the first absorbent layer 21 and a second intermediate sheet 32 covering the back surface of the third absorbent layer 23. The first intermediate sheet 31 and the second intermediate sheet 32 are so-called core wrap sheets, and are liquid-permeable sheets such as tissue or nonwoven fabric, respectively.

[0057] The first intermediate sheet 31 (sheet member) is a sheet provided between the surface sheet 11 and the absorbent core 20 (first absorbent layer 21). The second intermediate sheet 32 is a sheet provided between the back sheet 12 and the absorbent core 20 (third absorbent layer 23). In this embodiment, both longitudinal ends of the second intermediate sheet 32 are folded inward in the longitudinal direction so as to cover the longitudinal side edges of the absorbent core 20 (absorbent layers 21, 22, 23) and be located on the surface of the first intermediate sheet 31. However, the configuration of the first intermediate sheet 31 and the second intermediate sheet 32 is not limited to the above. For example, the longitudinal ends of the second intermediate sheet 32 do not need to be folded towards the surface, or a single intermediate sheet may cover the absorbent layers 21, 22, and 23 (i.e., the first intermediate sheet and the second intermediate sheet may be a single continuous sheet).

[0058] The first intermediate sheet 31 is provided with a message display M and a pattern Z that are visible from the surface of the excrement absorption sheet 1. The message display M and pattern Z will be described later.

[0059] A fragrance 80 is provided on the skin-facing side of the excrement absorption sheet 1 (the skin-facing side of the surface sheet 11). The type of fragrance is not particularly limited and examples include lavender, jasmine, and green herbal fragrances. In this embodiment, a green tea-scented fragrance 80 is provided. The fragrance 80 is not necessarily required, and a functional agent that exhibits another function (for example, a deodorant) may be provided instead of the fragrance.

[0060] When the excrement absorption sheet 1 is used for a long period of time, bacteria tend to proliferate in the excrement absorbed by the excrement absorption sheet 1, and the proliferating bacteria decompose the components of the excrement, easily generating an odor (malodor). To mitigate this condition, the excrement absorption sheet 1 may be equipped with an antibacterial agent (not shown). The antibacterial agent may be, for example, other organic antibacterial agents such as quaternary ammonium salts and para-benzoic acid esters, inorganic antibacterial agents containing inorganic substances such as Ag, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn, or antibacterial substances containing natural materials such as tea leaves and coffee extraction residues, and these may be used alone or in combination. The antibacterial agent may also include antimicrobial substances such as organic acids and organic acid salts. The antibacterial agent can be provided, for example, in the absorbent core 20.

[0061] This waste absorption sheet 1 can be used on its own, or it can be used in a so-called system toilet, or animal toilet. As an example of an animal toilet, a cat toilet 100 will be described.

[0062] <<An example of an animal toilet 100>>> Figure 3 is a schematic perspective view of the animal toilet 100. Figure 4 is an exploded side view of the animal toilet 100. The animal toilet 100 has mutually perpendicular front-to-back, left-to-right, and up-and-down directions. The front-to-back direction is along the longitudinal direction of the animal toilet 100, with the side where the animal entrance is provided being the front. The left-to-right direction is along the width direction of the animal toilet 100. The up-and-down direction is along the vertical direction.

[0063] The animal toilet 100 has an upper container 110, a lower container 120, and a cover 130. The lower container 120 has a tray 121 on which the aforementioned excrement absorption sheet 1 can be installed. These four components can be easily disassembled and assembled from one another.

[0064] The upper container 110 is a roughly box-shaped member with an open top, and the animal defecates on the upper surface of the bottom 111 of the upper container 110. The bottom 111 is provided with a plurality of holes 112 (holes that penetrate the bottom 111 vertically) that allow excretory fluids such as urine excreted by the animal to pass downwards.

[0065] Although not shown in the figures, the animal toilet 100 can be used by placing granular material such as cat litter (for example, granular material with deodorizing and antibacterial effects such as zeolite, silica gel, pulp, or wood) in the bottom 111 of the upper container 110. In this embodiment, the bottom 111 of the upper container 110 has multiple rectangular holes 112 arranged in the front-to-back and left-to-right directions, but the shape, number, size, and arrangement of the holes 112 are not particularly limited. However, it is desirable that the shape and size of the holes prevent the granular material from passing through. The animal toilet 100 can also be used without placing the granular material.

[0066] The lower container 120 is a roughly box-shaped member with an open top. When the animal toilet 100 is in use, the lower container 120 is assembled on top of the upper container 110 to support the upper container 110. The lower container 120 has a tray 121 and a tray storage section 122. The tray 121 slides from an opening 123L provided below the front wall 123 of the lower container 120 toward the rear in the front-rear direction and is housed in the tray storage section 122, which is shown by the dashed line in Figure 4. The tray 121 is a shallow, flat, box-shaped container and has a sheet storage section 121R on which the excrement absorption sheet 1 is installed. Note that the lower container 120 is not limited to having a tray 121; for example, the excrement absorption sheet 1 may be installed directly on the bottom of the lower container 120.

[0067] The cover 130 has an opening 131 and a wall portion 132. When the cover 130 is assembled above the upper container 110, the wall portion 132 stands upright like a wall from both the left and right sides and the rear of the upper container 110. The cover 130 can suppress the scattering of excrement and granular materials such as cat litter. However, the animal toilet 100 does not necessarily have to have a cover 130.

[0068] Animals such as cats enter the animal toilet 100 through the opening 131 of the cover 130 and defecate on the bottom 111 of the upper container 110, or on granular material such as cat litter placed on the bottom 111. The excretory fluid, such as urine, passes through multiple holes 112 in the bottom 111 of the upper container 110 and falls into the lower container 120. The excretory fluid is then absorbed by the excrement absorption sheet 1 installed in the tray 121 of the lower container 120 and stored in the tray 121. Users (animal owners, etc.) can keep the animal toilet 100 clean by regularly replacing the excrement absorption sheet 1.

[0069] <<About the Message Display>>> The excrement absorption sheet 1 has a message display M and a design Z that are visible from the surface side. Message display M consists of message display M1 and message display M2. Message display M1 has the words "Thank you always meow" in green letters and is located at one end in the vertical direction. Message display M1 is positioned with one side in the vertical direction at the bottom and the other side in the vertical direction at the top, with the words "Thank you always meow" positioned. Message M2 has the words "Thank you always meow" in green letters and is located at the other end in the vertical direction. The words "Thank you always meow" are correctly positioned. Design Z consists of cat designs Z1 to Z4, teacup designs Z5 to Z10, and leaf designs Z11 to Z19. Each design Z1 to Z19 is randomly arranged when viewed from the surface side of the excrement absorption sheet 1 and is shown in green.

[0070] Pet waste absorbent sheets are used to absorb urine and other waste excretions from pets, and after the absorbed sheet is replaced with a new one, it is necessary to replace it. Traditionally, when replacing waste absorbent sheets that have absorbed waste for a certain period of time (for example, about a week for pets such as cats), pet owners may soil their hands with the urine and other waste absorbent sheets and may encounter unpleasant odors, making the replacement process a significant psychological burden for pet owners.

[0071] In contrast, the excrement absorption sheet 1 has a message display M that is visible from the surface side. The message display M is a display that shows a message from the pet to the pet owner (hereinafter also referred to as "owner"). Message displays from the pet to the owner include displays that show gratitude, requests, feelings, etc., and examples include text displays such as "Thank you," "Feels good," "I'm in a good mood," and "I want the sheet changed," as well as displays using patterns and symbols such as heart marks and musical notes.

[0072] As a result, when the owner looks at the excrement absorption sheet 1 from the surface side, they can recognize the message display M, which is visible from the surface side. When the owner sees this message display M, they are more likely to feel that they have received a message from their pet, and their feelings towards their pet are more likely to become positive. When changing the excrement absorption sheet 1, the owner may get dirty with the excrement absorbed by the sheet 1, or smell an unpleasant odor, which can easily lead to negative feelings. However, by seeing the message display M, the owner can feel as if their pet is trying to communicate with them, and their feelings towards their pet are more likely to become positive. And when the owner's feelings towards their pet are positive, the owner is more likely to actively talk to, touch, and pay attention to their pet, so the pet is more likely to feel the owner's love. In this way, it becomes easier to make the feelings of the owner towards their pet and the feelings of the pet towards the owner positive, and it becomes easier to promote interaction between pet and owner.

[0073] The message displays M (M1, M2) on the excrement absorption sheet 1 of this embodiment are messages of gratitude from the pet to the owner, and the words "Thank you always meow" are displayed horizontally. As a result, when the owner looks at the excrement absorption sheet 1, especially when changing the excrement absorption sheet 1, seeing the message displays M makes it easier to feel that the pet is expressing gratitude for the care and for changing the excrement absorption sheet 1, making it easier for the owner to take care of the pet in a positive way. As a result, the feelings of the owner towards the pet are improved, the pet is more likely to feel love for the owner, and interaction between the pet and the owner is promoted.

[0074] Furthermore, the message display M is not limited to displays showing messages from pets to their owners. The message display M may also show messages from owners to their pets. Messages from owners to pets are similar to messages from pets to their owners, and can express gratitude, requests, moods, etc. Examples include text displays such as "Thank you for always being cheerful," "You're doing well," and "You're in a good mood," as well as displays using images and symbols such as heart symbols and musical notes.

[0075] This makes it easier for pet owners who see the message display M to develop a positive impression of their pet and to feel the presence of their pet more strongly. As a result, owners are more likely to actively talk to, touch, and pay attention to their pets, and pets are more likely to feel their owners' love. In this way, it becomes easier to create mutually positive feelings between owners and pets, and to promote interaction between pets and owners.

[0076] In particular, as in this embodiment, when the animal using the excrement absorption sheet 1 is a cat, one sheet 1 is often used for a long period of time, and excrement can accumulate and emit a foul odor. Therefore, changing the excrement absorption sheet 1 can easily cause negative feelings and psychological burdens for the owner. In contrast, by providing the excrement absorption sheet 1 with a message display M, interaction between the owner and the pet is facilitated, thereby reducing the psychological burden of changing the excrement absorption sheet 1 and making it easier to feel positive emotions towards the pet and the care of the pet.

[0077] Furthermore, the excrement absorption sheet 1 of this embodiment is installed in an animal toilet 100 and used for a relatively long period of time, about one week, during which animals repeatedly defecate. Therefore, the excrement absorption sheet 1 has a density of 1000 g / m². 2 Preferably 2000 g / m² 2 It is desirable that it has the above water retention capacity.

[0078] The excrement absorption sheet 1 is usually distributed, sold, and stored in a package (not shown) in which one or more excrement absorption sheets 1 are housed in a housing member (not shown). Within this package (housing member), the excrement absorption sheet 1 is housed in an unfolded state or in an appropriately folded state. The excrement absorption sheet 1 is housed in the package in a tri-fold state folded along the fold lines F1 and F2 shown in Figure 7. When the excrement absorption sheet 1 is removed from such a package and unfolded, the message display M is visible before use. In this way, when replacing the excrement absorption sheet 1, the message display is visible even before the excrement absorption sheet 1 has absorbed any excrement (before use), which facilitates interaction between the owner and the pet, even when the excrement absorption sheet 1 is not yet in use.

[0079] The message display M in this embodiment is provided on a first intermediate sheet 31, which is placed between the surface sheet 11 and the absorbent core 20. Specifically, it is printed on the first intermediate sheet 31. Figure 5 is a view of the first intermediate sheet 31 from the surface side. Various printing methods such as gravure printing, inkjet printing, and flexographic printing can be applied. The message display M and multiple patterns Z provided on the first intermediate sheet 31 are visible from the surface side of the excrement absorbent sheet 1 through the white surface sheet 11.

[0080] As shown in Figure 2, the first intermediate sheet 31 is located on the back side of the surface sheet 11 and on the front side of the absorbent core 20. Therefore, when the excrement absorption sheet 1 absorbs excrement, the excrement first passes through the surface sheet 11 toward the back side, reaches the first intermediate sheet 31, and is absorbed and held by the absorbent core 20. For this reason, the surface sheet 11 is generally made of a sheet with high liquid permeability, and the weave of the surface sheet 11 tends to be coarse. The surface sheet 11 has a coarser weave than the first intermediate sheet. For this reason, printing the message display M on the first intermediate sheet 31 results in a cleaner message display M than printing it on the surface sheet 11. Therefore, by providing a message display on the first intermediate sheet 31, the message display M can be seen from the surface side of the excrement absorption sheet, and when viewed from the surface side, the message display M is more clearly visible when it is on the first intermediate sheet 31 than when it is on the surface sheet 11, making it easier for pet owners to recognize the message display.

[0081] When the message display M is provided on the first intermediate sheet 31 and is visible from the surface side of the excrement absorption sheet 1, it is preferable that the area of the white area in the region overlapping with the absorbent core 20, when viewed from the surface side of the excrement absorption sheet 1, is 90% or more of the area overlapping with the absorbent core 20. This reduces the risk that the color of the excrement absorbed by the excrement absorption sheet 1 after it has absorbed urine, etc., will be hindered by colors other than white, compared to when the area of the white area in the region overlapping with the absorbent core 20, when viewed from the surface side of the excrement absorption sheet 1, is smaller than 90% of the area overlapping with the absorbent core 20. As a result, it becomes easier to recognize the color of the pet's excrement, and thus easier to recognize the pet's health condition. In particular, when the pet is a cat, one excrement absorption sheet 1 is usually used continuously for about a week, so the larger the white area in the excrement absorption sheet 1 when viewed from the surface side, the easier it is to check the color of the excrement. In this embodiment, the surface sheet 11 is white, the first intermediate sheet 31 is white, the absorbent core 20 is white, the message display M and multiple patterns are shown in green, and the white area of the excrement absorbent sheet 1 when viewed from the surface side is 94% of the total area of the excrement absorbent sheet 1. Note that "white" includes, for example, the color represented as "N9.5" in the Munsell color system or "255,255,255" in the RGB color space (so-called pure white), as well as colors with a color difference of less than 12 from pure white.

[0082] Regarding the message display M, it is preferable that the color of the message display M corresponds to a color in the range of hue numbers 10 to 24 on the Ostwald color circle. The colors in the range of hue numbers 10 to 24 on the Ostwald color circle correspond to purple to green. On the other hand, the colors in the range of hue numbers 1 to 9 on the Ostwald color circle correspond to yellow to red. In other words, the colors in the range of hue numbers 10 to 24 on the Ostwald color circle are different from the colors of urine and blood. Therefore, by having the color of the message display M correspond to a color in the range of hue numbers 10 to 24 on the Ostwald color circle, pet owners can easily check the color of the excrement absorbed by the excrement absorption sheet 1, and thus easily check the health status of their pet based on the color of this excrement.

[0083] The message display M is not limited to being visible from the front surface of the excrement absorption sheet 1. The message display M may also be provided on the back sheet 12 of the excrement absorption sheet 1. If the message display M is provided on the back sheet 12, the message display M can be seen from the back surface of the excrement absorption sheet 1.

[0084] As described above, the message display M may be provided on the front sheet 11 or the back sheet 12, or on both the front sheet 11 and the back sheet 12. Alternatively, the message display may be printed on a sheet separate from the front sheet 11, the first intermediate sheet 31, the absorbent core 20, the second intermediate sheet 32, and the back sheet 12, and this separate sheet may be placed at any position in the thickness direction and planar direction (vertical direction, horizontal direction) of the excrement absorbent sheet.

[0085] Furthermore, it is preferable that the message has one or more characters. And, it is preferable that the longer of the vertical or horizontal length of the largest character is greater than 5% of the shorter of the vertical or horizontal length of the excrement absorption sheet 1. The message display M of the excrement absorption sheet 1 in this embodiment consists of multiple characters that say "Thank you always, meow!", and the largest of these characters is "ga". The horizontal length mw of this largest character is longer than the vertical length (see Figure 5). The horizontal length W1 of the excrement absorption sheet 1 is shorter than the vertical length T1 (see Figure 1). And, the horizontal length mw of the largest character is greater than 5% of the horizontal length W1 of the excrement absorption sheet 1 (mw > W1 × 5%). As a result, the characters of the message display M do not become excessively small, and the message display M is easier for the owner to see within the excrement absorption sheet 1, thus promoting interaction between the owner and the pet.

[0086] As shown in Figure 5, it is preferable to have patterns Z (patterns Z1 to Z19) in a position different from the message display M. In the excrement absorption sheet 1 of this embodiment, the largest rectangle among the rectangles demarcated by the vertical and horizontal sides that circumscribe each of the patterns Z is the rectangle zs demarcated by the vertical and horizontal sides that circumscribes pattern Z11. It is preferable that the area of the rectangle ms demarcated by the vertical and horizontal sides that circumscribes the message display M is larger than the area of the rectangle zs that circumscribes pattern Z11. Simply put, when the excrement absorption sheet 1 is viewed from above, the message display M is larger than any of the patterns Z1 to Z19. Therefore, it becomes easier for the owner to see the message display M in the excrement absorption sheet 1, and it becomes easier to promote interaction between the owner and the pet. Note that the position different from the message display M may not only contain patterns Z, but also strings of characters, symbols, etc.

[0087] Furthermore, it is preferable that the message display M is provided at at least one end of the four equal parts obtained by dividing the excrement absorption sheet 1 vertically. In this embodiment, as shown in Figure 1, when the excrement absorption sheet 1 is divided vertically into four equal parts, from one side (the lower side in Figure 1) to the other side (the upper side in Figure 1), the message display M1 is provided at part ta, which is the end of one side in the vertical direction. The message display M2 is provided at part td, which is the end of the other side in the vertical direction. This reduces the risk of the absorbed excrement and the message displays M1 and M2 overlapping even after the excrement absorption sheet 1 has absorbed excrement, and reduces the risk of the message displays M1 and M2 becoming difficult to see due to the absorbed excrement. Furthermore, when using the excrement absorption sheet 1 in the animal toilet 100 as described above (see Figures 3 and 4), when replacing the excrement absorption sheet 1 installed in the tray 121, the tray 121 is pulled forward to remove the excrement absorption sheet 1. At this time, since the message display M is provided in part ta, the owner can easily see the message display M when pulling the tray 121 forward.

[0088] Similarly, the message display M may be located at at least one end (part wa) of one of the four equal parts (part wa, part wb, part wc, part wd) obtained by dividing the excrement absorption sheet 1 horizontally. Even in this case, the risk of the message display M becoming difficult to see due to the absorbed excrement can be reduced.

[0089] Furthermore, it is more preferable that the message display M is not located in the portion adjacent to the vertical center CL when the excrement absorption sheet 1 is divided into four equal parts vertically, and not in the portion adjacent to the horizontal center when the excrement absorption sheet 1 is divided into four equal parts horizontally. When the excrement absorption sheet 1 is divided into four equal parts vertically, and the portions are designated as ta, tb, tc, and td from one side to the other, the portions adjacent to the vertical center CL when the excrement absorption sheet 1 is divided into four equal parts vertically are portions tb and tc. When the excrement absorption sheet 1 is divided into four equal parts horizontally, and the portions are designated as wa, wb, wc, and wd from one side (left side in Figure 1) to the other side (right side in Figure 1), the portions adjacent to the vertical center CL when the excrement absorption sheet 1 is divided into four equal parts vertically are portions wb and wc. In other words, the portion adjacent to the vertical center CL when the excrement absorption sheet 1 is divided into four equal parts vertically, and the portion adjacent to the horizontal center when the excrement absorption sheet 1 is divided into four equal parts horizontally, are portions ta and tc, and portions wb, wb, and wc in Figure 1. Since message displays M are not provided in portions ta and tc, and portions wb, wb, and wc, even after the excrement absorption sheet 1 has absorbed the excrement, the risk of the absorbed excrement overlapping with message displays M1 and M2 is reduced, and the risk of message displays M1 and M2 becoming difficult to see due to the absorbed excrement is reduced.

[0090] As shown in Figure 1, the absorbent core 20 is located inside the outer edge (outer shape) of the excrement absorbent sheet 1. In this case, on one side in the vertical direction (predetermined direction), the vertical length from one end eto of the absorbent core 20 in the vertical direction to the vertical end of the excrement absorbent sheet 1 in the vertical direction is length Lo. As shown in Figure 1, when the message display M is provided on one end ta (part ta) of the excrement absorbent sheet 1 divided into four equal parts in the vertical direction, it is preferable that at least a part of the message display M1 is provided on one side in the vertical direction, in an area of length Lo from one end eto of the absorbent core 20 in the vertical direction to the other side, from one end eto of the absorbent core 20 in the vertical direction to one end eto of the absorbent core 20 in the vertical direction. This reduces the risk of the absorbed excrement and the message display M1 overlapping even after the excrement absorption sheet 1 has absorbed the excrement, and reduces the risk of the message display M1 becoming difficult to see due to the absorbed excrement.

[0091] Furthermore, regarding the message display M, it is preferable to have a message display M1 (first display) provided on one side of the vertical central CL, and a message display M2 (second display) provided on the other side of the vertical central CL, as shown in Figure 1, etc. Note that these message displays M1 and M2 consist of one or more characters. The message display M1 provided on one side of the vertical is a vertical inversion of the message display M2 provided on the other side of the vertical. Specifically, in the message display M1 provided on one side of the vertical, the characters are arranged with the other side of the vertical being at the top and the one side at the bottom. In contrast, in the message display M2 provided on the other side of the vertical, the characters are arranged with one side of the vertical being at the top and the other side at the bottom, and the message display M1 is provided in a state where the message display M2 is rotated 180 degrees.

[0092] When using the excrement absorption sheet 1 for an extended period, the sheet may be rotated to prevent excrement from concentrating in one area, allowing for absorption across the entire surface of the sheet. In this way, even when the excrement absorption sheet 1 is rotated during use, or when the owner views the sheet from different angles, at least one of the message displays M1 and M2 can be seen, thus facilitating interaction between the owner and the pet. For example, when using the excrement absorption sheet 1 in the animal toilet 100 described above (see Figures 3 and 4), and using one sheet for an extended period, after a predetermined period, the tray 121 may be reversed to allow for absorption of excrement over a wider area of the sheet 1. Even in such cases, since the message display M is provided on both sides in the vertical direction, and message display M1 is a vertical inversion of message display M2, the message display M is positioned to be easily read when the tray 121 is pulled forward. Therefore, even when the excrement absorption sheet 1 is used in the animal toilet 100, the owner can easily recognize the message display M, and interaction between the owner and the pet can be facilitated.

[0093] Regarding the message display M, it may also be the excrement absorption sheet 1A shown in the modified example in Figure 6. Figure 6 is a diagram showing a modified example of the message display M. As shown in Figure 6, it has a message display M1 (first display) and a message display M2 (second display) each composed of one or more characters, and the message display M1 located on one side of the center C-C in the horizontal direction may be a horizontal inversion (180-degree rotation) of the message display M2 located on the other side of the center C-C in the horizontal direction.

[0094] The excrement absorption sheet 1 preferably contains a fragrance 80, and if it contains a fragrance 80, it is preferable to have at least one recognizable feature such as a pattern, color, or text that can evoke the fragrance 80. Figure 7 is a diagram illustrating the area where the fragrance 80 is applied. In an excrement absorption sheet 1 containing a fragrance 80, the presence of a recognizable feature makes it easier for pet owners to recognize that the excrement absorption sheet 1 contains a fragrance 80. This makes it easier to improve the impression of the excrement absorption sheet 1, and makes it easier to turn the excrement absorption sheet 1 and pet care, which tend to evoke negative emotions in pet owners, into positive emotions.

[0095] As described above, the excrement absorption sheet 1 of this embodiment contains a green tea fragrance 80. For example, cis-3-hexenal can be used as the green tea fragrance. As patterns that can evoke the green tea fragrance 80, teacup patterns Z5 to Z10 and leaf patterns Z11 to Z19 are provided, as shown in Figures 1 and 7. In addition, each of the patterns Z5 to Z19 is provided in green, as a color that can evoke the green tea fragrance 80. The green color of each of the patterns Z5 to Z19 makes it easier for pet owners to recognize that the excrement absorption sheet 1 contains the green tea fragrance 80.

[0096] Furthermore, the design, colors, and text can be arbitrarily chosen to evoke the fragrance. For example, the following examples can be given: If the fragrance is a soapy musk, blue soap bubbles or soap images can be used as examples. If the fragrance is a marine-type melonal or caron, blue boat or wave images can be used as examples.

[0097] Preferably, the recall markings are provided at one of the four equal parts obtained by dividing the excrement absorption sheet 1 vertically or horizontally. This reduces the risk that the recall markings may become difficult to see due to overlapping with the absorbed excrement, even after the excrement absorption sheet 1 has absorbed the excrement. As shown in Figure 1, in the excrement absorption sheet 1, the teacup pattern Z10 and leaf patterns Z17 and Z18 are provided at one end (part ta) of the four equal parts obtained by dividing the sheet vertically, and the teacup pattern Z6 and leaf patterns Z12 and Z13 are provided at the other end (part td). In addition, the teacup pattern Z8 and leaf patterns Z12 and Z17 are provided at one end (part wa) of the four equal parts obtained by dividing the excrement absorption sheet 1 horizontally, and the teacup pattern Z6, Z9 and leaf pattern Z19 are provided at the other end (part wd).

[0098] When the excrement absorption sheet 1 is equipped with a fragrance 80, it is preferable that, when viewed in the thickness direction of the excrement absorption sheet 1, there is a portion where the fragrance 80 and the message display M1 overlap, as shown in Figure 7. When the owner sees the message display M1 on the excrement absorption sheet 1, they are also more likely to perceive the scent of the fragrance 80. Therefore, in addition to promoting interaction between the owner and pet through the message display M1, the effect of the fragrance 80 is added, making it easier to improve the owner's impression of the excrement absorption sheet 1. As a result, it becomes easier to transform negative emotions such as those associated with changing the excrement absorption sheet 1 into positive ones.

[0099] As shown in Figure 1, it is preferable that the excrement absorption sheet 1 has a diagram Z shown in line. Specifically, the excrement absorption sheet 1 is provided with cat diagrams Z1 to Z4 shown in line. The cat diagrams Z1 to Z4 depict cats with green lines, and the white of the surface sheet 11 is visible inside the diagram. By providing the cat diagrams Z1 to Z4 in this way, the owner's impression of the excrement absorption sheet 1 is improved, and because the cat diagrams Z1 to Z4 are diagrams, the color of the absorbed excrement can be seen even inside the diagram, making it easier to check the pet's health condition.

[0100] It is preferable that the design Z provided on the excrement absorption sheet 1 includes a pet design representing a pet. For example, if the pet targeted by the excrement absorption sheet 1 is a cat, the cat designs Z1 to Z4 shown in Figure 1 correspond to the pet design. The excrement absorption sheet 1 may also have a pet design with a speech bubble, as shown in Figures 8A and 8B, and a message display M surrounded by this speech bubble. Figure 8 is a diagram illustrating a pet design with a speech bubble. The pet design Zx shown in Figure 8A has a speech bubble Dx and is provided with a message display Mx consisting of the string "I love you," indicating an emotional message from the pet to the owner. The pet design Zy shown in Figure 8B has a speech bubble Dy and is provided with a message display My consisting of a heart design, indicating an emotional message from the pet to the owner. Having such a pet design Z and message display M makes it easier to give the owner the impression that it is showing a message from the pet to the owner, and makes it easier to promote interaction between the owner and the pet.

[0101] Furthermore, whether or not the pet design Zy is equipped with a speech bubble D, if the pet design Zy and the message design My are positioned at different locations horizontally (or vertically), it is preferable that the horizontal distance Li between the pet design Zy and the heart mark (design) of the message display My is 4 cm or less. If the pet design Zy and the message design My are positioned at different locations both horizontally and horizontally, it is preferable that the longer of the horizontal distance between the pet design Zy and the message display My and the vertical distance between the pet design Zy and the message display My is 4 cm or less. The shorter the distance Li between the pet design Zy and the heart mark (design), the stronger the message conveyed by the heart mark (design) of the pet design Zy. Therefore, if the distance Li between the pet design Zy and the heart mark (design) is 4 cm or less, it is easier to give the owner the impression that it is a message from the pet to the owner than if the distance Li between the pet design Zy and the heart mark (design) were longer than 4 cm.

[0102] The message display M, consisting of multiple strings, is not limited to a configuration that is continuous horizontally (or vertically) as shown in Figure 1, etc. As shown in Figure 9, the message display M may be shown as multiple strings separated. Figure 9 is a diagram showing a modified example of the message display M. The message display M provided on the excrement absorption sheet 1B shown in Figure 9 has a first string Ma consisting of multiple characters "always" and a second string Mb consisting of multiple characters "thank you meow!". The first string Ma is provided to the left of the center C-C in the horizontal direction, and the second string Mb is provided to the right of the center C-C in the horizontal direction. Furthermore, the first string Ma is provided on one side (above) of the center CL in the vertical direction, and the second string Mb is provided on the other side (below) of the center CL in the vertical direction. Having such a message display M allows pet owners to see the message display M, which consists of strings of characters placed in multiple locations, when they are looking at the entire waste absorption sheet 1, such as when changing the waste absorption sheet 1, thus facilitating interaction between the pet owner and their pet.

[0103] ===Second Embodiment=== Figure 10 is a plan view of the excrement absorption sheet 2. The excrement absorption sheet 2 shown in Figure 10 is a view of the unfolded excrement absorption sheet 2 from the surface side. The configuration of the excrement absorption sheet 2 differs from the excrement absorption sheet 1 of the first embodiment in that it does not have a message display M, but other than that it is generally the same as the excrement absorption sheet 1 of the first embodiment, so the same reference numerals are used for its components and their descriptions are omitted.

[0104] <<About Identifier Display>>> The excrement absorption sheet 2 has an identifier display Q that is visible from the surface side. The identifier of the identifier display Q in this embodiment is a two-dimensional barcode that can be read by a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet. The excrement absorption sheet 2 is provided with identifier display Q1 and identifier display Q2. Identifier displays Q1 and Q2 are identifiers for displaying a message from the pet to the owner, or a message from the owner to the pet, respectively. Identifier displays Q1 and Q2 of the excrement absorption sheet 2 in this embodiment display the same identifier. Also, similar to the excrement absorption sheet 1 of the first embodiment, the excrement absorption sheet 2 has multiple patterns Z that are visible from the surface side when viewed from the surface side.

[0105] By using a mobile device to read the identifier Q on the excrement absorption sheet 2, the owner can display a message from the pet to the owner, or a message from the owner to the pet, on the screen of the mobile device. Seeing this message can help the owner feel more positive towards their pet and make them more aware of their pet's presence, thus promoting interaction between the owner and the pet.

[0106] Messages from pets to their owners, or from owners to their pets, displayed on the screen of a mobile device, may be expressed in various forms, including text, images, colors, videos, audio, and music. Messages from pets to their owners may express gratitude, requests, or feelings. When owners see messages from their pets displayed on the screen of a mobile device, they may feel that their pets are expressing gratitude or appreciation for their care and for changing the waste absorption sheets, making them more likely to care for their pets in a positive way. As a result, the owner's feelings towards their pet improve, pets are more likely to feel loved by their owners, and interaction between pets and owners is more likely to be promoted. Messages from owners to their pets are similar to messages from pets to their owners, expressing gratitude, requests, or feelings. When owners see messages displayed on the screen of a mobile device, they are more likely to develop a positive impression of their pets and more likely to feel the presence of their pets. As a result, pet owners become more likely to actively talk to, touch, and pay attention to their pets, which in turn makes pets feel more loved by their owners.

[0107] In this way, by reading the identifier display Q on the excrement absorption sheet 2 with a mobile device, pet owners can see the displayed message, which makes it easier for them to develop a positive impression of their pet and to feel the presence of their pet more strongly. As a result, pet owners are more likely to actively talk to, touch, and pay attention to their pets, and pets are more likely to feel the love of their owners. In this way, it becomes easier to create mutually positive feelings between pets and their owners, promoting interaction between pets and their owners.

[0108] Furthermore, the identifier display Q may be a display visible from the back side of the excrement absorption sheet 2. Also, the identifier display Q is not limited to a two-dimensional barcode; any identifier that can be read by a mobile device, etc., can be appropriately selected. In addition, although the identifiers Q1 and Q2 of the excrement absorption sheet 2 use the same identifier, if the excrement absorption sheet 2 has multiple identifier displays Q, each may be an identifier capable of displaying a different message.

[0109] ===Other Embodiments=== The embodiments of the present invention have been described above, but these embodiments are for the purpose of facilitating understanding of the present invention and are not intended to limit the interpretation of the present invention. Furthermore, the present invention can be modified or improved without departing from its spirit, and it goes without saying that the present invention includes equivalents thereof.

[0110] In the above-described embodiment, the images Z displayed together with the message display M were pet images Z (images Z1-4, Zx, Zy) and recall images Z5-Z19, but are not limited to these. Decorations such as strings of characters, images, symbols, etc., other than the message display M, pet images Z, and recall images Z5-Z19 may be provided. Also, in the above-described embodiment, the message display M, pet images Z (images Z1-4, Zx, Zy), and recall images Z5-Z19 were all shown in green, but are not limited to this. The colors may be changed depending on the display or image.
