Description

Skin or hair cleanser composition

[0001] The present invention relates to a skin or hair cleanser composition.

[0002] In skin cleanser compositions, anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants and the like are used as surfactants with excellent detergency and foaming properties in order to achieve excellent cleansing power and a rich foam volume. On the other hand, the outermost surface of the skin is constituted by the stratum corneum, which has a mortar structure in which about 10 to 20 layers of stratum corneum cells are stacked with intercellular lipids sandwiched therebetween. The damage that a cleanser composition imparts to the stratum corneum is mainly divided into denaturation and swelling of stratum corneum cells, and elution of intercellular lipids. Some surfactants, when repeatedly used on the skin, swell stratum corneum cells and wash away components that should remain on the skin, so that they are excellent in cleansing power and foam volume, and are required to be mild to stratum corneum cells from the viewpoint of gentleness to the skin. However, since the surfactants used in cleanser compositions have different effects on stratum corneum cells and intercellular lipids, conventional cleanser compositions have not been able to sufficiently suppress the elution of intercellular lipids even if the stratum corneum cells could be protected, and were not sufficient in terms of mildness to the skin. In response to this, a cleanser has been reported that can suppress the elution of intercellular lipids while maintaining a rich foam volume by blending specific amounts of polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester or polyoxyethylene sorbitol fatty acid ester in addition to anionic surfactants and amphoteric surfactants (Patent Document 1). However, the mildness to the skin is difficult for consumers to perceive during actual use, and there remains a problem in the actual feeling of the mildness effect.

[0003] (Patent Document 1) Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2020-200324

[0004] One embodiment of the present invention is a skin or hair cleansing composition comprising the following components (A), (B), and (C): (A) an amphoteric surfactant, (B) polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetraoleate having an average number of moles of ethylene oxide added of 20 to 50, (C) one or more sulfonic acid-based anionic surfactants selected from (C1) α-olefin sulfonic acid or a salt thereof, (C2) polyoxyethylene alkyl sulfosuccinate, alkyl sulfosuccinate or a salt thereof, and (C3) acyl isethionic acid or a salt thereof, wherein the mass ratio of component (A) to component (B) ((A) / (B)) is 0.1 to 10, and the mass ratio of component (C) to component (B) ((C) / (B)) is 0.1 to 30. Detailed description of the invention

[0005] Terms used herein shall be used in the sense commonly used in the art unless otherwise specified.

[0006] The present invention provides a skin or hair cleansing composition that, in addition to maintaining the amount of foam and suppressing the elution of intercellular lipids, improves the smoothness of hair and skin during foaming and rinsing, allowing users to experience the effect of suppressing intercellular lipid elution.

[0007] The inventors have discovered that by combining polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetraoleate, which has an average number of ethylene oxide addition moles of 20 to 50, a specific sulfonic acid-based anionic surfactant, and an amphoteric surfactant in a specific ratio, a skin or hair cleansing composition can be obtained that maintains foam volume and suppresses the elution of intercellular lipids, as well as improving the smoothness of hair and skin during foaming and rinsing, thereby allowing users to experience the effect of suppressing intercellular lipid elution.

[0008] By using the skin or hair cleansing composition of the present invention, in addition to maintaining foam volume and suppressing the elution of intercellular lipids, the smoothness of hair and skin during foaming and rinsing can be improved, and the effect of suppressing intercellular lipid elution can be felt.

[0009] The present invention relates to a skin or hair cleansing composition containing an amphoteric surfactant, polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetraoleate having an average number of moles of ethylene oxide added of 20 to 50, and a specific sulfonic acid-based anionic surfactant, one embodiment thereof comprising the following components (A), (B), and (C): (A) an amphoteric surfactant, (B) polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetraoleate having an average number of moles of ethylene oxide added of 20 to 50, (C) containing one or more sulfonic acid-based anionic surfactants selected from (C1) α-olefin sulfonic acid or a salt thereof, (C2) polyoxyethylene alkyl sulfosuccinate, alkyl sulfosuccinate or a salt thereof, and (C3) acyl isethionic acid or a salt thereof, wherein the mass ratio of component (A) to component (B) ((A) / (B)) is 0.1 to 10, and the mass ratio of component (C) to component (B) ((C) / (B)) is A skin or hair cleansing composition having a concentration of 0.1 to 30.

[0010] Examples of amphoteric surfactants used in the present invention include amide betaine-type surfactants such as coconut oil fatty acid amidopropyl betaine and lauric acid amidopropyl betaine; sulfobetaine-type surfactants such as lauryl hydroxysulfobetaine; imidazolinium betaine-type surfactants such as 2-alkyl-N-carboxymethyl-N-hydroxyethylimidazolinium betaine; acetate betaine-type surfactants such as lauryldimethylaminoacetic acid betaine; and amine oxide-type surfactants such as lauryldimethylamine oxide. Of these, it is preferable to include one or more selected from amide betaine-type surfactants and sulfobetaine-type surfactants, and more preferably to include an amide betaine-type surfactant, from the viewpoint of suppressing the elution of intercellular lipids and achieving both foam quality and foam volume. Here, foam quality correlates with the smoothness of hair and skin during foaming and rinsing.

[0011] The amphoteric surfactant of component (A) can be used in combination of one or more types. The content is preferably 0.05% by mass or more, more preferably 0.1% by mass or more, even more preferably 0.5% by mass or more, and even more preferably 1% by mass or more, from the viewpoint of combining its use with components (B) and (C), and from the viewpoint of balancing the effect of inhibiting the elution of intercellular lipids with the amount and quality of foam. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of the amount and quality of foam, it is preferably 15% by mass or less, more preferably 10% by mass or less, even more preferably 8% by mass or less, and even more preferably 6% by mass or less. Also, from the viewpoint of achieving both the effect of inhibiting the elution of intercellular lipids and the amount and quality of foam, the content of component (A) is preferably 0.05 to 15% by mass of the total composition, more preferably 0.1 to 10% by mass or more, even more preferably 0.5 to 8% by mass, and even more preferably 1 to 6% by mass.

[0012] As component (B) of the present invention, polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetraoleate is used, having an average number of ethylene oxide additions of 20 to 50, from the viewpoint of inhibiting the elution of intercellular lipids. The average number of ethylene oxide additions of component (B) is more preferably 25 to 45, and even more preferably 30 to 40. Here, the average number of additions is the manufacturer's standard value. Specific examples of component (B) include, for example, polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetraoleate (30 E.O.) and polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetraoleate (40 E.O.). Commercially available products such as Rheodol 430V and Rheodol 440V (both manufactured by Kao Corporation) can also be used. Here, polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetraoleate is synonymous with polyoxyethylene sorbit tetraoleate.

[0013] In this invention, despite containing components that promote the elution of intercellular lipids in order to maintain cleansing power and foam volume and quality, the elution of intercellular lipids is suppressed. This is presumed to be because component (B) tends to adhere to the skin in relation to components (A) and (C) that promote the elution of intercellular lipids, and forms a protective film on the stratum corneum surface to suppress the skin adsorption and penetration of components (A) and (C). In forming a protective film, the more alkyl chains a component has, the more likely it is to adhere to the skin, and it is presumed that it is important for polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetraoleate to have four alkyl chains (oleic acid) in its molecule. As a result, it is presumed that the penetration of components (A) and (C) into the intercellular lipids is suppressed, and the elution of intercellular lipids is suppressed.

[0014] Component (B) can be used in combination of one or more types, and its content is preferably 10% by mass or less, more preferably 8% by mass or less, even more preferably 6% by mass or less, even more preferably 4% by mass or less, and also preferably 0.1% by mass or more, even more preferably 0.5% by mass or more, and even more preferably 1% by mass or more, from the viewpoint of suppressing the elution of intercellular lipids and achieving sufficient foam volume and foam quality.

[0015] In the present invention, the content ratio (A) / (B) of component (A) to component (B) is preferably 0.1 to 10, more preferably 1 to 9, even more preferably 1.5 to 8, and still more preferably 2 to 6, from the viewpoint of suppressing the elution of intercellular lipids and achieving both sufficient foam volume and foam quality.

[0016] In the present invention, component (C) is selected from one or more sulfonic acid-based anionic surfactants, including (C1) α-olefin sulfonic acid or its salt, (C2) alkyl sulfosuccinic acid or its salt, and (C3) acylithethionic acid or its salt, in order to maintain a rich amount of foam and suppress the elution of intercellular lipids, as well as to improve the smoothness of hair and skin during foaming and rinsing, so that the effect of suppressing intercellular lipid elution can be felt.

[0036] Examples 1-9, Comparative Examples 1-2 (Manufacturing Method) Components (A), (B), (C) and other components were added and stirred, the pH was adjusted to a predetermined level using potassium hydroxide and citric acid, and after stirring until homogeneous, the mixture was cooled to 30°C to obtain each composition. (Evaluation) Detergent compositions with the compositions shown in Table 1 were prepared, and the amount of cholesterol eluted using an intercellular lipid model was evaluated. In addition, the smoothness when applied to hair and the smoothness when rinsed were evaluated using the detergent compositions. The results are also shown in Table 1.

[0037] (Measurement of elution amount) 49 mg of ceramide (Takasago International Corporation), 21 mg of palmitic acid (Sigma-Aldrich Corporation), and 32 mg of cholesterol (Sigma-Aldrich Corporation) were weighed out. 4 mL of chloroform / methanol = 2 / 1 (v / v) was added to these, and the resulting solution was stirred at 30°C for 1 hour to dissolve the substances. The solvent was removed under a nitrogen atmosphere, and the resulting powder was dried overnight under reduced pressure to obtain an intercellular lipid model. 10 mg of the obtained intercellular lipid was weighed into a vial, 5 mL of a 10-fold dilution of each composition was added, and the mixture was stirred at 32°C for 1 hour. After the test, the supernatant was collected, and a solution containing the eluates from the intercellular lipid model was obtained as the eluate. 100 μL of the obtained eluate was diluted 10-fold by adding 900 μL of methanol (Fujifilm Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.). 100 μL of a solution diluted 10-fold with methanol was added to 135 μL of methanol, 100 μL of chloroform (manufactured by Fujifilm Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.), 215 μL of ultrapure water (manufactured by Fujifilm Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.), and 450 μL of isopropanol (manufactured by Fujifilm Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.) to obtain a solvent mixture. This solvent mixture was analyzed by the method described below to quantify the cholesterol concentration. The cholesterol elution ratio was determined by normalizing the obtained concentration to the concentration of Comparative Example 1.

Thereafter, the foamed hair tress was rinsed with hot water at 40°C. The smoothness of the hair after lathering and during rinsing was sensory evaluated according to the following 5-level criteria. The evaluation was performed by 2 people, and the average value was calculated. 5: Very smooth 4: Somewhat smooth 3: Neither 2: Not very smooth 1: Not smooth

[0040]

[0041] (Method for measuring foam volume) For Examples 1 and 3, a human hair tress (human hair bundle) with a length of 25 cm, a width of 5.5 cm, and a weight of 20 g was lightly rinsed with warm water at 40°C, excess water was removed, 50 μl of the model scalp sebum shown in (Table 2) and 1 ml of each composition were applied, and the foam volume was measured after lathering 50 times in 30 seconds. The results are shown in Table 3.

[0042]

[0043]

[0044] Below, the skin or hair cleansing compositions of the present invention (Examples 10-11) were prepared, and the measured cholesterol elution amount using an intercellular lipid model is shown in Table 6. The smoothness when applied to hair and the smoothness when rinsed were evaluated by five panelists, and the average values are shown in Table 7.

[0045]

[0046]

[0047] The skin or hair cleansing compositions of Examples 10-11 not only maintained foam volume and suppressed the elution of intercellular lipids, but also improved the smoothness of hair and skin during foaming and rinsing, allowing users to experience the effect of suppressing intercellular lipid elution.
