[0183] The operation of the camera device according to the present embodiment will be described below with reference to the drawings.

[0184] FIG. 20 is a drawing for explaining AF driving of a camera device according to the present embodiment.

[0185] The AF carrier (310) can be positioned at a location spaced apart from the top plate (121) and the base (110) of the cover (120) respectively, in an initial position where no current is applied to the AF coil (420).

[0186] When current is applied to the AF coil (420), an electromagnetic field is formed around the AF coil (420), and the AF coil (420) can move in the optical axis direction (OA) by electromagnetic interaction with the driving magnet (410). At this time, the AF carrier (310) and the lens can move together with the AF coil (420). That is, when current is applied to the AF coil (420), the AF coil (420), the AF carrier (310), and the lens (see A in FIG. 20) can move in the optical axis direction (see B in FIG. 20).

[0187] When a forward current is applied to the AF coil (420), the AF coil (420) can move upward in the direction of the optical axis due to the electromagnetic interaction between the AF coil (420) and the driving magnet (410). At this time, the AF carrier (310) can move upward in the direction of the optical axis together with the AF coil (420). Furthermore, the lens can move upward in the direction of the optical axis together with the AF carrier (310). Accordingly, the distance between the lens and the image sensor (60) changes, and the focus of the image formed on the image sensor (60) through the lens can be adjusted.

[0188] When a reverse current is applied to the AF coil (420), the AF coil (420) can move downward in the direction of the optical axis due to the electromagnetic interaction between the AF coil (420) and the driving magnet (410). At this time, the AF carrier (310) can move downward in the direction of the optical axis together with the AF coil (420). Furthermore, the lens can move downward in the direction of the optical axis together with the AF carrier (310). Accordingly, the distance between the lens and the image sensor (60) changes, and the focus of the image formed on the image sensor (60) through the lens can be adjusted.

[0189] Meanwhile, the AF sensor (450) can detect the amount of movement or position of the lens in the direction of the optical axis by detecting the strength of the magnetic field of the sensing magnet (440) moving together with the AF carrier (310). Autofocus feedback control can be performed using the amount of movement or position of the lens in the direction of the optical axis detected by the AF sensor (450).

[0190] FIG. 21 is a diagram for explaining the OIS driving of a camera device according to the present embodiment.

[0191] The OIS carrier (210) can be placed in an initial position without current being applied to the OIS-x coil (431) and the OIS-y coil (432). In the initial position, the OIS carrier (210) can be spaced apart from the side plate (122) of the cover (120) in the x-axis direction and the y-axis direction.

[0192] When current is applied to the OIS-x coil (431), the driving magnet (410) can move in the x-axis direction perpendicular to the optical axis due to the electromagnetic interaction between the OIS-x coil (431) and the driving magnet (410). At this time, the OIS carrier (210) can move in the x-axis direction together with the driving magnet (410). Furthermore, the AF carrier (310) and the lens can move in the x-axis direction together with the OIS carrier (210).

[0193] More specifically, when a forward current is applied to the OIS-x coil (431), the driving magnet (410), OIS carrier (210), AF carrier (310), and lens (see A in FIG. 21) can move in one direction along the x-axis. Additionally, when a reverse current is applied to the OIS-x coil (431), the driving magnet (410), OIS carrier (210), AF carrier (310), and lens can move in the other direction along the x-axis.

[0194] When current is applied to the OIS-y coil (432), the driving magnet (410) can move in the y-axis direction perpendicular to the optical axis due to the electromagnetic interaction between the OIS-y coil (432) and the driving magnet (410) (see B in FIG. 21). At this time, the OIS carrier (210) can move in the y-axis direction together with the driving magnet (410). Furthermore, the AF carrier (310) and the lens can move in the y-axis direction together with the OIS carrier (210).

[0195] More specifically, when a forward current is applied to the OIS-y coil (432), the driving magnet (410), OIS carrier (210), AF carrier (310), and lens can move in one direction along the y-axis. Additionally, when a reverse current is applied to the OIS-y coil (432), the driving magnet (410), OIS carrier (210), AF carrier (310), and lens can move in the other direction along the y-axis.

[0196] Meanwhile, the OIS-x sensor can detect the magnetic field strength of the driving magnet (410) to detect the amount of movement or position of the driving magnet (410). Using the amount of movement or position detected by the OIS-x sensor, hand shake correction feedback control in the x-axis direction can be performed. The OIS-y sensor can detect the magnetic field strength of the driving magnet (410) to detect the amount of movement or position of the driving magnet (410). Using the amount of movement or position detected by the OIS-y sensor, hand shake correction feedback control in the y-axis direction can be performed.
