Abstract

The present article is a radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag (integrated circuit (IC) tag) of a rectangular flat shape with a lateral length of 60 mm and a vertical length of 40 mm, having an anti-metal sheet on its back surface; even when the present article is placed between a communication device, such as a smartphone, and a case covering the communication device, it is possible to reduce the effects of radio wave interference caused by a metallic housing of the communication device, allowing easy near-field wireless communication with an external reader; the lateral length of the present article is shorter than the width of a typical smartphone (on the order of 70 mm), and this enables the article to be placed on a back surface of a smartphone, for example (see reference view 1); furthermore, the vertical length of the present article is shorter than the vertical length (shorter-side length) of standard cards, such as credit cards, and this allows the article to fit in a pocket of a card case (see reference view 2); the right side view of the article is omitted because it is bilaterally symmetrical to its left side view; the bottom view of the article is omitted because it is vertically symmetrical to its top view; the parts represented by dashed lines in reference view 1 and reference view 2 are not part of the claimed design [disclaimer].
