Abstract
The present design refers to a system for the maintenance of homeostasis in a peri-viable fetus outside the uterus; the system comprises: a top section comprising of a rigid frame, an elastic film with at least one inlet port and a seal; a lower section comprising of a rigid frame, a fetal bed with at least one exit hole, and a seal; and a connection area; the system maintains asepsis, facilitates transfer from the mother's uterus, allows a certain degree of fetal movements and prevents skin damage and ulcers.
