Protective cap for pipe end

Abstract

This article is an inner cap having an integral structure composed of a plug which is tightly fit by ribs into a thick-wall steel pipe of a connection head formed at a connection end of the pipe, a detachable gripper, a flange detachable from an outer cap, and an annular body with stopper protrusions; the ribs are formed on the plug and they are integrally provided in an extension condition at the center of the flange; reproduction 1.9 is a reference view showing the state in use of the protective cap when the inner cap of the subject design which is fitted into the pipe of the connection head is mated to the outer cap; the parts shown by means of broken lines in the reproduction are not part of the claimed design.
