Abstract

This article is an outer cap for a protective cap, composed of a cylindrical body; a through-hole for engagement is formed on a top face of the cylindrical body; additionally, two pairs of short holds protrude from the top face and an outer circumference surface of the cylindrical body in such a manner that the pairs are respectively opposed on the top face and the outer circumference surface of the cylindrical body; furthermore, a covering section (reduced portion) over a neck of a connection head of a thick-wall steel pipe is provided around the lower opening of the cylindrical body; reproduction 1.9 is a cross-sectional view of a portion taken along line A-A shown in reproduction 1.3; reproduction 1.10 is a reference view showing the state in use of the protective cap when the outer cap of the subject design is mated to the inner cap which is fitted into the pipe of the connection head; the parts shown by means of broken lines in the reproduction are not part of the claimed design.
