Hypodermic needle

Abstract

The article of this design is a needle for a subcutaneous port of a central venous catheter; a subcutaneous port is one that is implanted under the skin for the long-term administration of drugs and other fluids; figure 1.9 shows the state of the needle when punctured; figure 1.10 shows the needle in storage; the part for which design registration as a partial design is sought is shown in solid lines, and the other parts are shown in broken lines.
