Abstract

A modular mobile phone is formed of at least two pieces: a phone body and a user interface insert; the phone body includes a pad embedded therein to receive the user interface insert; the user interface insert is exchangeable for customization of the mobile phone; the phone body includes buttons, speaker ports, a charging port, and other interface features on the perimeter of the phone body; solid lines designate claimed features whereas dotted lines designate unclaimed features in the various embodiments of the design.
