Junctional tourniquet

Abstract

The claimed industrial design relates to the external appearance of a medical device intended for the control of junctional hemorrhage; the product is in the form of a belt, visually divided into three parts: a short part of the wide belt, a long part of the wide belt, and a narrow belt; both parts of the wide belt have a rectangular shape with one tapered end; the narrow belt has an elongated rectangular shape; on both ends of the narrow belt, two buckles of rectangular shape with an elongated central slot are visible; in the middle of the narrow belt, a screw mechanism is visible, the shape of which combines cylindrical, rectangular and triangular elements, with some of these elements having rounded edges; the product is shown in three visual configurations: – fastened configuration (figures 1.1–1.3), – unfastened configuration (figures 1.4–1.7), – folded configuration (figures 1.8–1.10); the product is also shown in two visual configurations of the screw mechanism: – the screw mechanism is unscrewed, corresponding to an elongated cylindrical shape (figures 1.1–1.3; 1.5; 1.9), – the screw mechanism is screwed in, corresponding to a shortened cylindrical shape (figures 1.4; 1.8; 1.10); figures 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 1.10, on one side of the screw mechanism, a rolled-up portion of the wide belt is visible, with a flap of elongated rectangular shape positioned above it; the flap is also visible in figures 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, and 1.9.
