Abstract

1. The room thermometer is characterized by a main body in the form of a flat disk and an independent rectangular base; all of which has the appearance of solid wood with visible grains; the front face of the disk is divided horizontally into two distinct areas: a top part of solid wood and a bottom part that is black in color, the separating line being horizontal; the thermometer comprises a vertical capillary tube housed inside a central groove that extends right through the disk; a graduated temperature scale is arranged in the form of a circular arc on the left half of the disk, extending through the wood and black areas; the graduations and the numbers are printed in a contrasting color relative to the background (dark on the the wood, light on the black); the base is a rectangular piece of wood with a slot for holding the disk in a vertical position.; 2. The room thermometer is characterized by a main body having an elongate rectangular shape (parallelepiped) and an independent rectangular base; all of which has the appearance of solid wood with visible grains; the front face of the main body is mostly covered with a black surface on the left-hand part, leaving visible a vertical strip of solid wood on the right-hand edge; the black area is delimited on the right-hand side by a concave vertical curve, creating a curved interface between the black and the wood; the thermometer comprises a vertical capillary tube positioned at the junction between the black surface and the wood strip; a graduated temperature scale is arranged vertically but along a curved line (arc) on the black part, matching the shape of the black / wood interface; the graduations and the numbers are printed in a contrasting color relative to the background (dark on the the wood, light on the black); the base is a rectangular piece of wood comprising a slot for holding the main body in a vertical position.; 3. The room thermometer has the same features as model 2, except for the color of the front face of the main body which is mostly covered with a salmon colored surface (instead of black) on the left-hand part, leaving visible a vertical strip of solid wood on the right-hand edge.
