Abstract

1. A deployable canopy showing an elongated generally rectangular canopy extending longitudinally from a central support assembly, the canopy being supported by an articulated pantograph mechanism beneath a green canopy surface; the support assembly includes a lower upright housing formed of polished metallic side panels having reflective outer surfaces, chamfered corners, vertically ribbed or wave-like surface divisions, central wood-toned vertical insert portions, and wood-toned corner insert portions at the chamfered corner regions visually evoking reinforcing members; the canopy is further supported by an upper anthracite-colored telescopic post and top cap, the contrasting dark central post, reflective metallic side caps, and wood-toned insert portions contributing to a slender, vertically segmented ornamental appearance.; 2. A variant of a deployable canopy with no color in a closed position, showing an upright support assembly formed as an elongated vertical housing having a top cap and a downwardly extending central post portion; the housing is characterized by chamfered corner regions, vertically extending ribbed or wave-like surface divisions, and vertically extending insert portions positioned to break up the side faces into multiple narrow vertical sections, thereby creating a slender, vertically segmented ornamental appearance
