Pyranometer

Abstract

Embodiments of a pyranometer are disclosed. The pyranometer (300) includes a first thermoelectric sensor (303) and a second thermoelectric sensor (307) that are arranged for sensing solar radiation. A temperature controlling device (305) may be arranged to control an operating temperature of the first and second thermoelectric sensors in use. Another exemplary embodiment (500) of the pyranometer includes an optic (502) configured to split an incident light beam into a plurality of beams having different energies, the optic positioned so that the split beams at least partially strike a thermoelectric sensor (504).
