Abstract

A duplexer, and a method for operating the duplexer, for transmitting and receiving a message signal, the duplexer comprising: an antenna configured to transmit and receive electric signals; a first channel including a first resonator, and a second channel including a second resonator, each channel connected to the antenna and configured to guide electric signals towards the antenna or to receive electric signals from the antenna; at least a first electric field-generating component which is connected to a voltage source and configured to influence a frequency response and / or operating range of the first resonator; wherein the first and second resonators possess different operating frequencies; wherein influencing the frequency response and / or operating range of the first resonator alters the bandwidth of the first channel.
