System and method for linking entity profiles

Abstract

A system and method for linking and enriching entity profiles are provided. The system and method may include one or more sensors for providing sensor data segments of a scene of the physical environment at a point in time. The sensor data segments may be processed to detect one or more entity representations therein. Two or more entities may be detected at the physical environment and entity profiles for each entity may be created and stored. The system and method may include storing a first type of linking and / or a second type of linking in each entity profile in response to a threshold detection a first entity representation and a second entity representation in a sensor data segment and / or in response to redetection, within a redetection period of the first entity and second entity in a subsequent sensor data segment, and providing the first entity profile and the second entity profile for selecting media content for output to one or both of the first entity or second entity.
