System and method for entity profile management

Abstract

A system and method for entity profile management is provided. The method may include receiving a sensor data stream from two or more modal sensor subsystems each of which monitors of a common zone of interest within a physical location. Each modal sensor subsystem may provide a different sensor modality, and the system and method may include obtaining from each sensor data stream an entity signature for each sensor modality when an entity is present in the zone of interest indicating an event. The entity signatures may be used to retrieve an entity profile based on, for each sensor modality, a similarity between the obtained entity signature and a corresponding stored entity signature recorded in the entity profile and the entity profile may be updated based on the event.
