Dynamically providing media content in a broadcast stream

Abstract

A computer-implemented method and system are described for dynamically providing media content in a broadcast stream at a control system wherein the control system has one or more sensors provided at one or more displays connected to the control system. The method processes a first media content stream being displayed at the one or more displays connected to the control system and detects a marker in the content stream indicating a timed event. The method selects a second media content based on one or more location-based content triggers received via at least some of the one or more sensors. The method maintains both the first media content stream and the second media content operative in real-time on the control system and switches to the second media whilst maintaining synchronization with the live output.
