Entity identification-based content retrieval and output

Abstract

A system and method for entity identification-based content retrieval and output are provided. The system may include one or more locations in a physical environment. The locations may include sensors to detect an entity in the physical environment. A radiofrequency transmitter may broadcast a signal of a location-linked identifier of an interface in the physical environment and an operator identifier. The identifiers may be received by an endpoint of the entity and an entity identifier may be transmitted to a remote server. An edge device at a localized system in the physical environment may receive a content output instruction associated with the entity from the remote server. If no instruction is received within a time period, an entity signature may be generated from sensor data. The entity signature may be usable to determine a content item to output. The edge device may output the content item to an interface.
